<< the night passed, with no more unusal phenomena and soon, morning came. As Thunder Bay got started with its day, towns people were talking about the car horns, the animals barking and acting strangely and the fog that drifted along. most just dismissed it as some kind of weird coincidence and went about thier business.>>

<< although there was some minor damage to area businesses and gas stations, mostly things having fallen off shelves or glass being cracked...businesses opened, the docks went ahead with their schedule and things seemed to be mainly okay, until the report came down that another one of Nicolas' ships with a crew of 3 vanished in the night, dropping off the radar of the weather center all together.>>

<< Nicolas, who had provided hospitality to new comer Haleigh, now had another problem to deal with, beside his truck being badly damaged, he now faced the possibilty a ship lost at sea and three men as well. There was no official declaration by the sea patrol yet...as the time aloted for search had not expired.>>

<< Karen was already aware of the developing situation but would meet with Nicolas later. Right now, she and Delilah were traveling toward the northern point of town, to the gothic church to meet with the town historian, Alison Marble. They were tending to preparations for the 100th birthday celebration of Thunder Bay which included the unveiling of a statue comemorating the founding fathers of this town.>>

<< Morgan and Ava were enjoying Breakfast at the most exclusive dining establishment in town, but Morgan's driving did not go unnoticed by Mike who frequently clashed with her. Her disdain for him because he was a "flatscan" was shared by Ava as well...but Blaze seemed to cut him some slack. Morgan DID however respect her mother and did not go TOO far with giving Mike a hard time. >>

<< and out on the country side, Sharon drove along the winding, paved, hilly roads, making her way toward the Arklay lighthouse to start her day as the "Silver Swan" dj/radio personality, though that wouldnt come until later in the evening. Right NOW she had administrative functions to perform as well as program details to finish. Blaze was baby sitting Kyle today. They were out on the beach together...>>

Delilah next to Karen as the car curved along the roadway. Her briefcase was at her feet and she had Karen's schedule for the day sitting open in her lap. She was chewing on a pen nervously, still thinking about the weird occurence the night before.

"We were lucky there wasn't more damage - more injuries - last night in that fog. I've never seen it come in so thick before. It just doesn't seem natural."

on the way to the church

<< Karen sat in one of her tailored Carolina Herrera business suits consisting of a blazer and pencil skirt. her legs were crossed at the knee and she looked ever so elegant with her string of genuine pears around her neck and her hair parted to the side, styled in a flip do.>>

<< she and Delilah were chaufered through town, now along the winding roads leading northward.>>

<< she looked over at Delilah.>>

I'm thankfull that most people were inside, including my daughter ...both of my daughters and Ava.

<< she couldnt agree more with Delilah that the fog seemed UNNATURAL. at one point she thought she'd heard CHRISTOPHER'S voice as the fog moved through the neighborhood.>>

All the car alarms...light posts...even the animals seemed to go haywire...right at midnight!

The weather service indicates that the fog moved against the wind...but can't explain why. still...all in all, there's nothing else to say. perhaps we're all a little...on edge with the impending festivities for Thunder Bay's anniversary. Lord knows we have 1000 things left to do...and seeing Alison is definately not something I look forward to.

<< she says as she shifts a bit as they drive on. Alison and Karen had not been on friendly terms for many years now, but Alison was a direct descendant of one of the original founders of this town. Karen could do nothing mmore about her than Alison could about Karen...and the ghost of Cameron King was the iron curtain in their now fractured friendship.>>

in town

<< back in the downtown area, Morgan tears around a corner, angrily blowing her horn at an "arrogant pedestrian" as he "dares" to cross the street against the light. She shouts obscenities and flips him off as well.>>

Idiot! what makes them think they can just stroll out into the street like that? they must WANT to get ran over.

<< Morgan fumes as she and Ava zoom along in Morgan's tricked out Jaguar.>>

After breakfast, we can work off our calorie fest with a shopping spree in the "boutiques @ the village" , there's this Anne Klien II watch that ive had my eye on since i saw it in Vogue two days ago. After shopping, we have appointments at the Thunder & Lightning spa, the deluxe package. We dont want any of those losers on the south side of town trying to upstage us at tonight's pre "birthday celebration" soiree.

<< she bogarts across the road, cutting off someone whom she feels is driving too slow and zooms right into a parking spot.>>

finally, we're here. I can't wait for my freshly cut up fruit bowl and bottled water.

<< as if anyone ELSE would consider that a "hearty breakfast" :D >>

<< but as they park, she takes a moment and looks at Ava.>>

that fog last night...it was creepy as hell. I felt like...i was being WATCHED and yet, there was no one but Blaze, Tinkerbell and myself in the house! maybe i had TOO much to drink last night?

<< she was being serious.>>

They WHAT?!? You CANNOT be serious. What do you MEAN, GONE??!!!

Nicolas was taken aback, the news NOT what he wanted to hear this morning. He'd made a nice breakfast for himself and his house guest, and he'd even managed to relax following the night's events. The service had picked up his car and he'd decided to buy another one, leaving that one for trade-in at the local dealership. The new one would be delivered shortly to the house, and he was headed forward positively in his day.

Now THIS. The Valiant and its crew was missing. Three men in all on the small barge used to pull the larger ships that helped thunder bay's economy run. He immediately went into "fixit" mode, barking orders to the foreman on the phone.

Call any available men that have the day off. Double time paid to help in the search. I will contact the mayor and the chief of police to further coordinate this in the next few hours. These men are to be found!! Suspend all nonessential traffic and get it done!! I will call and I EXPECT RESULTS!!!!

Nicolas voice boomed through the house, sure to wake anyone still sleeping there. After he hung up (destroying the house phone in the process), Nicolas stood at the huge back window looking out over the bay. It was apparent that the day was not going to go as well as it originally seemed...

MAYBE you had too much too drink TODAY.

Mike was behind them as they got out, in his unmarked chief's car.

What is your natural problem. The world is already yours Morgan, could you TRY to tour it at a slower pace?! Or will I be forced to IMPOUND this...toy for the day? Your choice.

Mike had enough bad news for today, and Karen's bratty daughter was not helping AT ALL...

downtown

<< Morgan was slightly started as Mikes authoritarian voice rudely invited itself into her PRIVATE conversation with Ava.>>

<< she immediately turned her head to glare at him with her violet eyes.>>

Oh...it's YOU!

<< she walked up to him slowly and placed her hand on her hips.>>

and just WHO do you think you're TALKING TO?... MORTAL!

Don't you have something BETTER to do with your time besides following me around the town?

<< Mike sternly warned her to slow down or have her car impounded for the day. Morgan stood there, rolling her eyes as she folds her arms.>>

I'd like to impound that polyester blend uniform your wearing. there ought to be a law against badly dressed cops who look like they just escaped a casting call for the WWE. But, as you are my mother's TOY of the moment, I suppose I'll just have to tolerate your "Sheriff of Mayberry" routine. \

<< pretending to be sorry as she places her hands on her cheeks.>>

Oh officer...I am sooooo sorry. I promise i'll NEVER do it again!

<< she then returns to her usual bitchy self. walking haughtily past Mike as she turns her nose up, she and Ava make their way inside the restaurant.>>

Haleigh was in the guest bathroom drying her hair after a shower when she heard the phone ring.... not only did her host's voice CARRY.... but she was aware of what the other person was saying through the phone line without even trying. She tossed her hair... it was dry now and her stomach was growling... she could smell breakfast already. She grabbed her jacket, her revolver, and her backpack and after glancing around to make sure she hadn't left a mess, she headed out to where he was.

The events from last night kept running through her head. She had not been injured but that was no surprise... what shocked her was that HE had been unscathed as well... not injured by the glass or the violence of the spin.... and there was another thing... her grip should have CRUSHED his hand. She knew she panicked and squeezed too hard... but he was fine... and she caught him glancing at her own hand more than once afterwards... but neither of them mentioned anything. Did he know her secret? Did he have one of his own?

She came around the corner as he slammed the phone down, destroying it before turning towards the window. She knew why he was upset.... and she had the answer he needed... she could sense it out there, on the sea floor of the bay. Should she tell him, and out herself? Or let him find it in a few hours by halting all operations and losing a morning's worth of business in the process? He'd been so kind to her... she knew her own answer.

"You lost a ship? [pausing] I know where you can find it. Get the bay patrol back on the phone, I'll tell them the GPS coordinates."

speaking of the sea

<< a day like any other? it wasnt looking that way. But there was still more to come as it was early yet. funny how secrets long forgotten had a way of haunting those without them knowing.>>

<< zooming away from the downtown area, the suburban area and out toward the sea, the country side, we see Arklay Lighthouse, where Sharon is now inside, and further down, more than a few miles on the sandy beaches, a young boy frolicks along the shore line. Blonde hair, bright blue eyes...and a flair for adventure. He also has a heart of gold. His name is Kyle Kelly. >>

<< a life he would not have known in other times and places, is now his to enjoy. living in a town safe from some of the prejudicies of the larger, supposed "modern" cities. His mother was a big star, a one time "sex symbol" , and now one of the most celebrated residents in Thunder Bay, but to him she was still just "MOMMY". His bond with Sharon was strong...but like any boy his age, he could be mischievious, even rambunctious at times.>>

<< Blaze Fielding was his favorite baby sitter. Sharon paid Blaze well, even though Blaze didnt NEED the money per se. It was hard being a single mom and owning/running one of the FEW media outlets in a town such as this. She did her very best, but even she needed help sometimes.>>

<< today, as Sharon was doing much preparation for the upcoming 100th birthday celebration, Blaze came over to her ocean loft to keep Kyle company and look after him. He was one of the many true innocents of Thunder Bay, blissfully unaware of what last night's fog meant in the bigger picture.>>

<< and now, as Blaze sat on the beach nearby, Kyle played near the pier. near the water. the waves rolled and crashed as seagulls soared and glided above, calling out to one another. >>

Sharon's ocean loft

While Kyle explored the pier, Blaze watched him from underneath her umbrella by her beach chair. Dark-rimmed Gucci sunglasses concealed her green eyes along with protecting her eyes from the blazing sun above. Wearing a simple pink Kenneth Cole ruched halter tankini top with a matching bow-tie bottom

Sitting next to her was a tall strawberry margarita, halfway finished while Sharon’s local radio station had been tuned in on her Ipod. A few wind surfers were out further along the ocean. Peering closer, Blaze grabbed her binoculars to stare at a pair of handsome rugged men. Build like a football player yet good looking enough to be a designer model.

“Move over Morgan and Ava!”

Smirking to herself she watched the both of them from afar only to check up on Kyle. Placing the binoculars down she grabbed her thong sandals, slipping into them while she moved over towards Kyle. Touching the side of the young boy’s shoulders.

“Pretty neat huh? You know what’s really great is snorkeling along the coral reef. You’d love it!”

She motioned to the beach, “Wanna help me build a sand castle?”

Even at such a young age, Blaze had a warm maternal instinct around children. Even children seemed to gravitate towards her. “Don’t forget to re-apply your sunscreen or your Mom will skin me alive.”

Chuckling, Blaze lead Kyle over to her beach chair where a large blue and white cooler was situated. Picking out a large smoothie for him that was made with real fruit and yogurt. Much better than pure sugar like soda beverages.

“I was thinking we could visit the aquarium later. Maybe even swim with a few dolphins.”

Glad Blaze is DRINKING while she's BABYSITTING!! lol!!
"I just don't want anything to disturb the anniversary celebration."

She wasn't just talking about the weather. Delilah internally sighed. She didn't like tension between people, and that between two such strong personalities as Karen and Alison could be cut with a knife. She glanced sideways at her employer, then took a deep breath before breaching the subject, closing her day planner.

"I hate seeing this rift between you and Alison. Maybe you could use the work on these festivities as a way to bridge the gap between you two?"

on the way to the church

<< Karen primped in her compact, another habit that her daughter seemed to inherit from her. Karen often did it when she was nervous more than anything else. as Delilah spoke about not wanting anything to interfere with the festivities, Karen nodded.>>

Well, if we dont get positive word about the missing crewmen out at sea...that may be one more step towards the disaster i'm hoping to avoid.

<< said with gritted teeth as she looks at herself in the small compact mirror before shutting it.>>

as for Alison....<<sigh>> Delilah, i never WANTED their to be a rift. She reacted so badly...when her brother, Cameron died several years back. She blamed me, she blamed Nicolas...she said we should have known better.

She forgets...i lost my husband, morgan lost her father...nicolas lost his wife too...had we not been delayed, we wouldve been on that yacht as well...and none of this would matter now.

But she insists to this day that it was no accident. she "saw" more than meets the eye.

<< Karen pauses for a moment...>>

But she had nothing to proove that. Was i suspposed to risk sending anyone out there to the sea to invistigate something as impossible as what she claimed??

<< looking out of the window as they neared the gothic church. last nights fog...christopher's voice..maybe Alison had been RIGHT? No. n ow was not the time for that. >>

maybe she'll be kinder to us today than she has in recent weeks...here's hoping, no matter how impossible it may seem.

"You lost a ship? [pausing] I know where you can find it. Get the bay patrol back on the phone, I'll tell them the GPS coordinates."

Nicolas turned quickly and stared at Haleigh. Now he KNEW something wa up, but nothing malevolent, at least on HER part. He sighed heavily.

That doesn't sound like good news, Haleigh. I am going to hate contacting the families of those men.

He thought a bit as he walked a little closer to her.

Thanks for trusting me with that knowledge. How about you give me the GPS coordinates and I will investigate PERSONALLY? You are welcome to accompany me if you like, in fact a person with your...gifts would be most welcome. I suspect there is more to this than meets the eye.

Mike listened, almost amused at her lame attempts to be bitchy to him. He knew her heart was in the right place overall, but he just hoped he could jar her into being USEFUL, giving up the spoiled brat routine.

Oh officer...I am sooooo sorry. I promise i'll NEVER do it again!

See that you don't. The world already has one Paris Hilton...and THAT'S one too many.

Mike turned and left. He needed to check the rescue efforts and double check the security protocol for tonight's festivities...

Haleigh narrowed her eyes as he moved slightly closer. She put a strap of her leather backpack over one shoulder, then folded her arms and leaned against the threshold of the breakfast area. There was a beautiful view, through a huge window overlooking the bay. Haleigh only noticed it because it was the most obvious escape route. Her other option was turning back and making her way through the maze to the front door.... which she COULD do... but that took longer. For now she stayed put, cooly staring at him.

"That's IT? There's nothing YOU'D like to share? Like maybe, why you're so CALM after I dropped a bomb like 'hey, I know where your sunken tugboat is, although NO ONE ELSE, including the COAST GUARD and Bay Patrol can find it.' or, how about you tell me why your HAND isn't MINCED MEAT because of the way I squeezed it last night. OR you could explain how you kept the truck from spinning off the cliff last night without using the steering wheel or [pointing]how the HELL you did that to your PHONE. OR! OR! You could let me know just what IN GOD'S NAME was going on with that FOG last night. I don't know about you, but I've NEVER seen fog move AGAINST the wind and BLOW OUT GLASS WINDOWS, inexplicably spinning out a truck."

She searched him for answers.... something... ANYTHING that would make her feel a little better about telling him the secret that was really the most IMPORTANT one for her to KEEP. He wanted her to tag along... and while she WOULD be helpful... after all... she could singlehandedly raise the ship from its watery grave. And it wasn't that she DIDNT want to help.... HOWEVER... she didn't like the idea of him USING her for her abilities.

"Come WITH you?? And be what.... your CADAVER DOG?? Are you FUCKING PSYCHOTIC? I'm not a damn circus performer, OKAY? I don't want to flaunt my abilities, YOU CANT TELL ANYONE ABOUT THIS. NO ONE CAN KNOW. Is that CLEAR??"

She was getting worked up.... she had the look of a spooked horse, getting ready to BUST OUT using brute force and whatever ELSE it took to get free and safe. His nonchalance only served to further UNNERVE her. Was he so calm because this happened all the time? Just what kind of TOWN was this?? Why was the tugboat in so many pieces in a place devoid of rocks or reef to tear it up like that?

Nicolas' eyes widened slightly as Haleigh promptly went apeshit. It wasn't that she was right; she was, but the issue of their abilities he thought was resolved for the most part. He decided that there would be one easy way to deal with this. His mouth did not move, but he "spoke" to her nonetheless.

Relax. As you can see by now, we BOTH have abilities. I could ALSO raise the tanker from the bottom of the ocean. I am not interested in using you here. What I AM interested in is helping you STOP running. I am aware of your abilities as you have already mentally disclosed them to me during your tirade. Here are my own specs.

Nicolas paused to let her digest his abilities: telepathy, powerful telekinesis, immense strength, durability and recovery.

Now, here in Thunder Bay are people like ourselves. People who are...special. A good place for someone such as yourself. Trust me, we are very good at hiding our...enhanced states. I am hoping that you will accompany me. If you do not want to and wish to leave, I will definitely not stop you. If you like, you can take the new truck outside and go. I am even more than happy to pay you for the GPS information to help you get on your way. But I would prefer it if you would help me here. I don't know what's going on and you don't look like someone who gets attacked and lets it lie.

Nicolas looked Haleigh eye to eye and waited for her answer...

:: The bizzare fog seemed to disappear as the night turned to day. It was unsettling for sure, but it didn't put a damper on Ava's jammed packed day with Morgan. Wearing large framed designer 70's ispired sunglasses with her hair pulled back in a sleek low ponytail which was parted to the side, Ava ran her finger along her glossy lips as she looked at herself in her compact, ignoring Morgan's speed racer driving. After being a passanger in Morgan Victoria's car for long enough, you learn to deal with her Nascar-like antics. ::

After breakfast, we can work off our calorie fest with a shopping spree in the "boutiques @ the village" , there's this Anne Klien II watch that ive had my eye on since i saw it in Vogue two days ago.

[gasping in] "I saw that watch, it's to die for! That's going to go so good with your new Gucci dress. [closing her compact, Ava tossed it back into her Michael Korrs hobo bag] I need to pick up those cute black strappy Jimmy Choo's I placed on hold for the celebration tonight. They are six inches of heaaaven!"

After shopping, we have appointments at the Thunder & Lightning spa, the deluxe package. We dont want any of those losers on the south side of town trying to upstage us at tonight's pre "birthday celebration" soiree.

:: Looking out the window at the scenery as it zoomed by, Ava nodded agreeing with Morgan as she spoke. ::

[scoffing] "Upstage US? They couldn't upstage Amy Winehouse during one of her weird coked up rampages."

:: Laughing to herself, anyone who even tried to upstage Morgan or Ava would either look like a fool....or end up with a a drink 'accidently' poured down the front of them. :D Finally the car slowed to a stop in front of the resturant. ::

finally, we're here. I can't wait for my freshly cut up fruit bowl and bottled water.

"A fruit cup? Do you know how many calories are in a banana.....no wonder you're getting ponchy around the waist."

:: Ava grinned, knowing the little weight jab would piss Morgan off. Casually she began to twirl her pony tail around her fingers. ::

"I'm going the Mary Kate [Olsen] route. Starve myself for a couple weeks, go into 'rehab' to get attention, then come out and party with all the men who want to take advantage of my fragile state. It's a win, win."

:: Opening the car door, suddenly Morgan became serious as she spoke about the fog. Keeping the door open but staying seated, she looked at her friend as she mentioned the feeling of being watched. ::

"I felt the same way....after I got off the phone with you I just got this intense chill throughout my body. I hate to admit it, but I didn't get much sleep...I was pretty creeped out."

:: Maybe it was just a fluke...one of the werid nights where weird things happen. Regardless, Ava shook her head as she finally climbed out of the car only to see Mike pull up aside of them. ::

"Oh look, it's Deputy Dipshit."

:: Rolling her shaded eyes, he began to rail on Morgan about her driving habits. Didn't this town know? When Morgan was on the road everyone needed to stir clear....it was an unwritten rule. ;) Sighing out heavily to show that she was annoyed with his presence, Morgan then began to turn the tables insulting him to the point of making Ava cough out a small laugh. ::

Oh officer...I am sooooo sorry. I promise i'll NEVER do it again!

:: Fanning herself with her hand in an overly dramatic manner to play off Morgan, Ava then laughed seeing Mike give up and give her another 'warning'. Giving him a coy smile, she fluttered her fingers in a 'goodbye' fashion before turning to Morgan. ::

"We seriously need to do a romantic intervention with your mother."

:: Walking with Morgan toward the restaurant, the two enetered and were immediately seated. ::

Relax? I can hear you in my HEAD. That's a little funky, dude. You mind? There are some things in here that shouldn't be known to anyone else, alright? Thoughts are PRIVATE.

But she got the feeling it wasn't something so easily controlled that way... like her automatic sensing of mechanical objects or weaponry. She didn't ACTIVATE the 'radar'... it was just there.

He wanted to help her stop running.... but she wasn't sure he knew what she was running FROM. He'd run to, she figured.... but she kept the reason compartmentalized, LOCKED AWAY from even herself. She didn't want to think about it, discuss it, or otherwise relive it AT ALL. It was hard enough to experience ONCE.

He shared his own abilities with her... and she eyed him a moment, sizing him up, wondering about his limitations as she often wondered about [and tested] her own.

Nicolas said:
Now, here in Thunder Bay are people like ourselves. People who are...special.

Special? so who was behind the car wreck, an angry ex-girlfriend? Look, I don't want any trouble, alright? I'm just trying to survive here.

A good place for someone such as yourself. Trust me, we are very good at hiding our...enhanced states.

She seemed to consider this.... he mentioned something about not trying to stop her. HA! He could try. she thought sassily, forgetting he could hear. He offered her the truck and she glanced back over her shoulder, using 'xray' vision to look through the structure and assess the offer. it IS a nice truck... But then he offered to pay her for the GPS coordinates. She scoffed.

You think I need the money? You aren't very good at this telepathy thing, are you?

Her backpack had plenty of cash.... she wasn't hurting, and so, she hadn't been thinking about the money directly.... he might wonder WHY she was hitchhiking.... but as he continued the 'talk' to her.... he did pique her interest. He was honest and open with her and that went a long way. She seemed to calm as quickly and easily as she'd flipped out.... as if some internal switch had been toggled.

"Alright King.... let's go get your ship.... and find out what's going on."

You think I need the money? You aren't very good at this telepathy thing, are you?

Nicolas laughed heartily as she thought a mile a minute. She was full off fire, and he LIKED it.

As much fun as wrestling with you would actually be, it does us no good to tear up the town until we were stopped ourselves. And the money in your bag is less than a tenth of what I would have been willing to give you for the GPS coordinates if you had demanded it. But I am glad that you are willing to help me here. Besides, looking at you makes hard work MUCH easier.

Nicolas laughed again heartily, winking at Haleigh, then motioned to the back steps, speaking for the first time in minutes.

My speedboat is at the dock out back. I would rather get there more quickly, but the boat is much better cover. After you finish eating, we'll get ready and roll out.

Nicolas loaded up a hearty breakfast plate and placed it before the table with juice and water.

Enjoy.

through the day

<< Karen and Delilah wind up the hill toward the gothic church, passing one of the town's historic landmarks, a large pewter, stylized cross that served as a simple, yet perfect indicator they were on the grounds of the gothic church. this place had a regal, hallowed feel to it, but it also had a dark secret about it that no one, including Alison had immediately been aware of..at least until now.>>

<< as the mayor and her sharp assistant exited the vehicle, both women walked in their high heels, along the coble stoned path, toward one of the entrances and knocked, waiting for entry.>>

meanwhile

<< as Blaze engaged young Kyle, he seemed suitably distracted. he kept looking back to where he last was before Blaze brought him closer back to the Sharon's loft. When asked if something was wrong, Kyle gushed about an object he found and led Blaze acros the sand , back to the spot near the underside of the pier...near a small colletion of rocks where the water regular washed over, there was a gold coin. it looked exquisite. Blaze listened as Kyle said the coin turned FROM A PIECE OF WOOD into a coin. did she hear him right??>>

<< as Kyle pointed eagerly, after a few moments, the coin sparkled agressively and in a small burst of "flame" it transformed into a piece of wood, wood that had apparently broken off from a large ship. there was seaweed on the wood as well.>>

<< Kyle broke away from Blaze to pick up the drift wood as it turned BACK into a gold coin, but Blaze's intuition would prompt her to take the coin from him. as she held the coin, she felt the presence of EVIL...of VENGEANCE that immediately prompted her to look out toward the sea. It was now afternoon, but as the winds seemed to pick up with a whistle of their own, Blaze decided to lead Kyle back to the house and up onto the deck for safety. She promised him that he could have the gold coin back AFTER his mother looked at it but secretly, Blaze wasnt sure if SHE should be touching it. it looked exquisite, but something about it was dreadfull to the touch...her's at least. She'd have to tell Sharon about this, since her son found it and it was so near the woman's property. >>

and elsewhere

<< as Nicolas and Haleigh had a rather fiery chat, both revealed their true natures to one another. Haleigh may have thought she made a mistake coming here, but she had no idea how much her presence was HELPING as she pinpointed the location of Nicolas' lost ship. He did his best to assure her that she needed think about bolting again and the two seemed to strike an uneasy partnership for the time being.>>

<< after breakfast and preparation, Nicolas and Haleigh would board his speed boat and head out to sea...but to BOTH of their surprise, the ship would be where Haleigh said...but AFLOAT, looking (at first glance) totally unharmed! it wouldnt be until they BOARDED that they would see that the boat showed signs that it could have...MUST have been UPSIDE DOWN for DAYS taking on water. instruments were shattered from water pressure, seaweed covered monitors...the motor was water logged and the cabin inside was totally trashed, everything topsy turvy...but NO sign of the crew men...not yet. Nicolas and Haleigh would continue to investigate. having beat the sea patrol and other rescue ships to the site...they'd have a chance to use their special abilities to do what the others could not. but against some forces, even mutants and metahumans were not always the ones with upper hands.>>

back downtown

<< the dynamic duo- Morgan and Ava enjoyed another self indulging day, having fended off the scrutiny of Mike yet again, the two socialites went about their day of shopping, pampering and preparation for this evening...another night of wild fun and decadence as only THEY could enjoy. For a while, even THEY seemed to forget about the spooky happenings of last night, but that wouldnt last for long.>>
