Morgan's House

:: Everyone gathered in Morgan's mansion and began to be served plenty of delicious food and beverages. Cameron decided to partake in a Vodka Tonic. This was probably Morgan's futile attempt at getting Cameron drunk and taking advantage of him, at least he hoped! Cameron listened to Ava's comments and smirked. ::

"She did get one of the prime places of real estate in this city. I live right around the corner but Windmill Pointe is a place where people hang on to their houses. Plus i'm not as gaudy and a showman of my money as Morgan is."

:: He nudges Ava as his drink arrives and he takes a sip. ::

"Ava if people didn't know you better they would think you were a snob! Seems like you're in good company then!"

:: Cameron was trying to be in a light and fun mood. He knew that things were going to become alot more stressful. So for now, he wanted to have a little fun. After all he didn't get to see his sister or Ava enough and he might not see them ever again after this adventure was over. Morbid yes. Realistic. Yes. Cameron was a realist. For now, he took a seat on one of the plush loveseats. ::

"I remember coming here for a party once. In fact I believe I had quite the encounter with a brazilian intern from Rejuvenation on this VERY loveseat. Memories.. Oh the memories..."

Mike sat in a tree, watching the scene as beautiful people walked about, exchanging niceties as if they had not a care in the world. He managed to stay dry as he worked, even in this rain, but his audio was royally screwed; he would have to read lips tonight.

Evading the security was easy enough. They were at worst completely incompetent, talking all day about how they would bang their attractive clients this way and that, or they were well-trained but complacent, convinced that their gadgets and the relatively exclusive location was deterrent enough. Mike looked inside and counted heads,

Ava, Alison (quick file search on Cameron brought that up), Cameron, Blaze, Morgan, and DELILAH!!

Mike gasped. It had been so long since he had seen her it seemed. She'd decided to resign rather than put up with the crap. If he were a super, perhaps he would have done the same thing but he believed the situation served his purposes...for now. She still texted him and they were as close as ever, but he understood when she was a bit scarce after that.

They were his girls, Haleigh and Delilah. His super kick-ass chicks, his teammates. They were close as one could get, inseparable he thought. No sex, though Haleigh and he took a moment a while back to acknowledge the attraction and move on. So now he and Haleigh just traded crude jokes and comments, or least they did. Delilah...more reserved, more conservative, but the camaraderie was there, just different. And so he knew that she was close to the Victoria clan, but he still...it had been too long. Mike shook away the nostalgia and looked on.

The security in the house was scarce. he was not surprised by that, considering that the house was FULL of supers. But it did leave opportunities to gather information, such as the laptop he saw in a darkened office. Perhaps the daughter had clearances as well. She did work for a cosmetics line with ties to MysTech. Mike worked his way to a back window, and let himself quietly inside...

Nicolas looked up at the older woman. He smiled and gestured over to the kitty, who bounded off the bed and onto his hand, running up to nuzzle his cheek as she perched on his shoulder.

Karen...things are fine, though the attendants do not share your...bedside manner. I wish you could rub off on Dr. Marcus a bit. He thinks that yelling and explaining are the same things.

Nicolas explored the internet as he talked, his mind sucking up the knowledge (scrubbed by MysTech first) before him. He stopped suddenly, looking at her, his face twisted with worry.

Karen...are you OK? Your pulse in 96 and your blood pressure is 139/88, both high for your baselines. Did I make you mad?

The idea seemed to almost terrify Nicolas, who had no one else emotionally but Karen, and even he could sense her pulling away in recent weeks.

I will try harder in the tests, I promise.

The monitors analyzing Nicolas' baselines showed a spike in his blood pressure and pulse...

Windmill Pointe

<< Morgan stood with her closest friends in her midst as the night time rain tapped at the large windows around the mansion. thunder rumbled in the air as she took a fresh goblet of the best champagne with some fresh straberries in the goblet from an waitress who floated through with drinks every so often.>>

<< Ava complimented her home and Morgan smiled, thanking her though she knew her fellow model and friend was accustomed to the luxe accomodations of 5 star, 5 diamond hotels. Morgan too had enjoyed her share of high end hotels when she was a traveling model but there was something to be said about entertaining from home. Cameron remarked on what a prime piece of real estate this was. for the man to be such a cad with women, he was also quite smart and savvy, well versed on many subjects. he wasnt bad looking either but she'd never tell HIM that. ;) >>

<< Ava and Alison had already picked out the room suites they would use during their stay here and the household attendants took their luggage to their selected rooms.>>

Don't worry Ava, you'll find that staying here will bring you a quality of rest you could never get even at a high end hotel where everyone from the staff to the paparazzi and even other guests are trying to get a look at you. This is my sanctuary from the world. I share it with my sister Blaze and while you and Alison are here...I'll be happy to share it with you both.

<< unaware that they were being watched by Michael Armstrong even as they spoke.>>

This << gesturing to Delilah.>> is my longtime, good friend, Delilah Trelevan. She's a recently retired police officer.

<< Delilah was just as beautifull as the present company. If she had wanted, she could easily have found work as a model but she always was more conservative than Morgan. Despite that, she had a heart of gold and a spirit as beautifull as the light she channeled through her powers as a "super". Delilah smiled and greeted Ava and Alison. of course Blaze knew her and Cameron had often whistled and flirted with her...and she, like Morgan and Blaze, would shut him down every time ;). funny how those he was CLOSEST to were the ones he could get no play from, wh ile scores of nameless , forgettable women were waiting in the wings for him. >>

She's special like all of us....<< meaning that she was a super.>> So you can speak freely in front of her.

Shall we repair to the lounge?

<< gesturing for the others to follow, they moved through the spacious, luxury home and were now to be seated in the posh, sunken in lounge that was designed for comfort and intamacy as well as indulgence with a bar, sound system and other items and objects. Cameron took time to note that he had even frolicked with a brazillian intern from Rejuvination on a portion of the leather sectional.>>

oh please. I had that piece of furniture hauled away and BURNED after your little trist.

<< Morgan said haughtily as she seated herself next to Blaze and crossed her long, smooth, flawless legs at the knee before receiving another drink from her attending waitress.>>

Honestly, Cameron...i have MULTIPLE bedroom suites on the upper floors of this mansion. would it have hurt you to take that brazillian go-go of yours up two flights of stairs into a ROOM?

<< Blaze giggled a bit as Morgan rolled her eyes and scoffed.>>

You acted like you were just coming off of some sort of sexual FAMINE! :p

<< looking among the group, as they got comfortable and settled in for what would be a long night of fun.>>

I'm happy you all could come. it's been a while since I've been home long enough to be able to entertain and its ...kind of pointless for Blaze and I to have all this space and not be able to host our friends when they come to town.

<< it was clear that Morgan was relieved to have company....and not just company but PEERS both professionally and biologically. Having become so protective of Blaze and the two sisters becoming so distrusting of "outsiders"...the people gathered in her home now were literally the FEW in this world they dared to trust or care for, outside of t heir mother.>>

<< Morgan and Ava had much in common, both in the professional fashion/modeling world as well as their personal lives. each having experienced trauma directly linked to MYSTECH. Alison and Morgan were witches and Alison was Cameron's sister which made Cameron a TAD more tolerable :D and of course Delilah, her longtime, trusted friend who had been there for her and Blaze during their time of need , even going so far as to resign from the RPD and STARS when they pulled their bullshit. Yes this was the best possible roster for Morgan at the moment and NONE of them knew how significant this first gathering among them was in the long time just yet.>>

<< as they chatted among themselves about Raccoon city, fashion, business and other things, the topics soon got deeper until Morgan finally asked Ava..>>

Ava, what brings you and Alison HERE of all places at this time? Usually we rendezvous somewhere mutually agreed upon, like Milan, L.A. or NYC...and Alison historically finds the United States to be BORING. I wont be arrogant nor do i imagine you came here JUST to visit me.

<< it was true, the arrival of Ava and Alison was unusual. not unpleasant...just unusual even in this unusual city. in the comfort of the mansion, away from prying eyes and minds, the real topic of conversation would begin and even now, they were unaware that Michael had quietly worked his way into a dark office on the 2nd floor of the mansion. intending to retrieve any information he could from a laptop inside of that office.>>

<< in that office, not Morgan's main office, but rather a "guest" office of sorts, the laptop bore the logo of mystech. the contents of the laptop were mostly files and stastics, as well as polls featuring data on Morgan's popularity on a national scale, the public's view of the products she promoted etc. a copy of Morgan's contract with REJUVINATION was on the computer as well and upon reading it, Mike would discover the clause which Morgan's legal team had demanded by included. Morgan was NOT required to USE the products she "modeled" and "promoted". Why would a model be faking on such a large scale? Mystech OBVIOUSLY valued the credibility Morgan's name and celebrity gave their cosmetic line and agreed to her terms but that was the strangest thing he'd seen on any contract.>>

<< he found pictures of Morgan...various profile shots, including full body shots (fully clothed of course).>>

<<the final file he found was an actual description on the special technology behind the Rejuvination line...the use of the "T CELL" complex. a bio product which REJUVINATES old or dead skin cells, bringing them back to life and literally taking YEARS off a person's looks and facial features. the product WORKED and was obviously pattented. He saw various images of the "T CELL" in a vial as well. So one of mystech's breakthrough's was this "T CELL" technology, but that would mean they were doing MORE than meets the eye when it came to medical research. this was bio experimentation...which was illegal on most levels. What was NOT clearly spelled out in this file was that the T-CELL complex was actually a small dose of the T VIRUS! >>

<< Mike could hear Morgan and her guests talking more clearly now as he was inside but he had to be carefull that they did not hear HIM and with a telepath AND precog present...his window of opportunity to be in there was woefully short.>>

Arklay Mansion

Nicolas looked up at the older woman. He smiled and gestured over to the kitty, who bounded off the bed and onto his hand, running up to nuzzle his cheek as she perched on his shoulder.

Karen...things are fine, though the attendants do not share your...bedside manner. I wish you could rub off on Dr. Marcus a bit. He thinks that yelling and explaining are the same things.

<< Karen looked on, smiling with approval as the small white kitten obviously had bonded with her new care taker. Karen slowly got off of the bed and came near Nicolas...clicking her tongue as she greeted the kitten with a soft voice and gentle pet on her little head.>>

<< Nicolas' abilities allowed him to sense the changes in Karen's biological functions to the very smallest detail. She couldnt hide it from him as well as she could Michael or even her daughters....she DID show a look of gloom on her elegant face.>>

<< as the young man began to worry if he was the cause and show signs of distress, Karen snapped out of her momentary distraction and dwelling on other less fortunate things and placed her well manicured hand on Nicolas' shoulder.>>

No, child. It isnt you at all. You're doing very well. You're a bright young man..with such promise. you've come so far since the day I found you as a little boy. You musn't think you are the cause of my... problems. not for a moment.

<< bending down to hug him she nuzzels the kitten, who mews a bit as Karen smiles once more.>>

No, i don't want you to think another moment about such silly things. You just enjoy the rest of your evening. I'll arrange for an attendant to bring you your dinner and I'll be back soon to talk a bit more, okay?

<< she said as she pats his shoulder reassuringly before turning to leave.>>

<< back out in the hall, Karen places her hand on her chest and shuts her eyes looking up at the ceiling. clasical piano from Bach is heard over the sound system...and Karen inhales sharply.>>

How deep must i go...before i find a way OUT.

<< she said softly but with a pained tone. Nicolas trusted her and she did everything she could to make sure he was safe and well cared for but she was in between a rock and a hard place. as powerfull and valuable as s he was to mystech. they could...and WOULD harm her and her daughters if she betrayed or went against them...any and everything INCLUDING exposing her status as a super. they'd already made her husband CHRISTOPHER disappear. He too had been a doctor and worked at this very same facility!>>

<< afteter Blaze's trauma and now with the upcoming plan for Nicolas about to be implimented, t he doctor felt herself freefalling. She almost felt like DEATH would be a welcomed escape. the irony that a psycho therapist , a person who should be a beacon of mental health to others, herself was the victim of such gripping anxiety and irrational thought!>>

<< still, all hope was not lost. she had managed to carefully lay a plan, one that would require secrecy and perfect timing, one that involved someone whom MORE then one person in Raccoon city was looking for.>>

<< she left the hall where Nicolas' room was and disappeared into another area of the mansion, first to check on something before speaking to Dr. Marcus.>>

[bMorgan:[/b] This << gesturing to Delilah.>> is my longtime, good friend, Delilah Trelevan. She's a recently retired police officer.

Ava's eyes shifted over to Delilah. She was quite aware of who the ex STARS agent was. With a tight upper lip, Ava extended her hand out to the woman and shook it.

"Pleasure."

She stated almost coldly. Like Michael Armstrong, Ava wasn't too thrilled to be associating with the woman who took part in her sisters disappearence. Even if they all WERE on the same team, Haleigh was the one that was LOST and presumed dead.

Morgan: She's special like all of us....<< meaning that she was a super.>> So you can speak freely in front of her.

Luckily Cameron quickly changed subject to a more lighthearted and scandalous one; talking about his sexual escapades. It prevented Ava from spitting acid at Delilah with accusations of: 'if she were so 'super', why couldn't SHE--of all people--help her sister? Taking this time to get herself another Cosmopolitan, Ava took a large swig just before Morgan asked the question of day: why she was REALLY here. Turning to her old friend, Ava shifted a cold glance toward Delilah before returning her attention to the model.

"I'm here because of my sister, Haleigh. She disappeared a week ago and is presumed dead. Funny how the very woman that was on my sisters team is HERE [looking at Delilah] with us tonight."

Her words at Delialh were sharp, which Ava knew wouldn't sit well with Morgan or Blaze.

"I don't think Haleigh's dead....not yet atleast. And I'm not about to leave my sister's life in the hands of the RPD or STARS, so I came to find her. [looking back at Delilah] And get answers.

Perhaps now would be another great time for Cameron to chim in with how he did Mrs. White, in the kitchen, with the handcuffs? :p It would certainly lighten the mood in the room at this point.

Morgan's Lounge

:: Cameron laughed wholeheartedly as Morgan poked fun at him. That was part of the reason he found her irresistable. Many of the women he had bedded were perfect models in the sense that they were there to look pretty and not to speak. Morgan threw his game right back at him. Soon he would crack that nut open. Soon. He retorted. ::

"I WAS in a sexual famine! The dress you were to that party Morgan. I was in PAIN!"

:: As everyone gathered around the lounge and began to settle in Morgan pressed Ava and Alison on why the both of them had came to Raccoon City. This was probably where everything was going to get a little serious. Ava passively digged into Delilah for being there on the team the night Haleigh dissappeared. Cameron didn't know much about Delilah. He had seen her a few times before mostly at either the Annual Policeman's Ball or the Hospital Gala every year. She was gorgeous but he had never really gotten the chance to get to know her. ::

"Well Ava, you're blunt. I'll give you that much..."

:: He took a swig of his drink and paused for a moment, feeling the situation had just gotten a little heavy and he wasn't sure that his sister wanted everything to come out this way. He looked at her with a concerned glance and whispered mentally to her. ::

"Well, the cat's out of the bag...."

:: Something else about this mansion was off and Cameron couldn't put his finger on it yet, but he had the feeling that he was being WATCHED, though he couldn't tell if the security was Morgan's or from somewhere else. For now he sat on the impressions until he could get a clearer idea but his mind was DEFINITELY on alert as he projected his mind throughout the surrounding area. If there was anything to pick up in this giant mansion, Cameron would soon know about it. He wasn't that worried knowing his own sister a Seer would most definitely alert them to any intruder, but Cameron was independent and didn't want to depend solely on his sister to get them out of trouble. ::

"So yes, there it is. Haleigh is missing, and they are here to figure it all out. Now, who needs there drink refreshed.. I can take care of it?"

:: He smiled trying to be helpful in a situation he wasn't sure how to deal with ::

Mike quickly made his way to the second floor where he spied the laptop. Before leaving, he placed a listening device in the room in which he entered, placing an earpiece in his ear as he moved without any sound.

Instead of pissing him off COMPLETELY for confronting Delilah so, Mike was impressed with her resolve and understood her anger. It was a question he'd asked himself on more than one occasion.

He kept moving, placing a recording device/transceiver on the laptop that would transfer the files he looked at to a remote computer via secure channel. He moved quickly, all too aware that a house full of supers would not get drunk enough to be oblivious forever. He would prefer to be gone as quickly as he could. One file he skimmed over seemed to command his attention first. It was the copy of the modeling contract. It seemed that the blonde only pushed the products on others. She HERSELF never wore them, something that he was sure wasn't necessarily a crime, but unheard of for makeup. he also found flattering photos of her looking incredible, with the photos were notes of what makeup was used for future reference. None of it was REJUVINATION.

Why won't Ms. Supermodel wear her own shit? What is she afraid of? She looks good enough to eat falling out of bed in the morning I'll bet. Genuine dime-piece. So what's the deal for?

<<the final file he found was an actual description on the special technology behind the Rejuvination line...the use of the "T CELL" complex. a bio product which REJUVINATES old or dead skin cells, bringing them back to life and literally taking YEARS off a person's looks and facial features. the product WORKED and was obviously pattented. What was NOT clearly spelled out in this file was that the T-CELL complex was actually a small dose of the T VIRUS! >>

Mike whispers in his own astonishment, momentarily forgetting where he was as he wss so amazed by what he'd found.

SHIIIIT. How do you put this in makeup without FDA approval? I don't see any studies, any FDA trials, any...what was it in hazmat class? LD50s...yes. Where is it all? They have essentially engineered cells to put in makeup with no idea of its safety. My god...what if it mutates? What if those cells aren't used correctly. Any Tammy Faye Baker could end up with cancer on her face or...

Mike thinks of the leeches, the huge size...that was only runaway cell growth right?

OH. MY. GOD. I have to get to Karen...fuck THAT, the press...someone...they could kill millions with this shit.

Mike pulls the recorder from the laptop and hurries silently back down to the first floor where he came to try to exit the house...

No, child. It isnt you at all. You're doing very well. You're a bright young man..with such promise. you've come so far since the day I found you as a little boy. You musn't think you are the cause of my... problems. not for a moment.

No, i don't want you to think another moment about such silly things. You just enjoy the rest of your evening. I'll arrange for an attendant to bring you your dinner and I'll be back soon to talk a bit more, okay?

Yes ma'am.

Nicolas dropped it, hugging her back and cradling his kitty as she exited. But as she left the room, he felt her on the other side of the door. She was close to panic, though she had scrambled his powers too much for him to glean what was wrong from the other minds and bodies around. That left him to his own devices, which he had been using lately to try to figure out what was wrong. He'd overheard her standing up to Dr. Marcus, admonishing some of the others. As Karen had been getting more worried and the others had gotten meaner, the young man had decided that the others were bothering her somehow. If his guess was correct, they would all pay. He was strong now, much stronger than even he'd shown them. And if they hurt Karen, he would make them hurt like they did in the movies he watched...

suburbs of raccoon city, Morgan's mansion

<< Morgan's sleek siamese cat sauntered in to the lounge, taking notice of the new sights and sounds of the guests. a few chirping meows announces her presence as she quickly jumps up onto the leather sectional and Morgan's lap for some attention and petting.>>

<< everyone was comfortable and enjoy the posh cozy setting but it was obvious the chill factor was rising due to Ava's attitude toward Delilah.>>

<< Morgan didnt say anything at first, but Blaze lightly nudged her to silently communicate that she noticed it too. Cameron, of course, was still crowing abouthis testosterone fueled male whoredom and finally Ava flat out digged into Delilah and Morgan took exception.>>

Ava, please. << Morgan said in non hostile but urgent tone>>

Delilah is my friend and has been for years. She was there for me and my sister when my sister was attacked in Arklay forest. You don't know her like I do and to say or even imply that she's incompetent or doesnt care about what happened to Haleigh is unfeeling and absurd.

<< Morgan had met Haleigh a few times at functions like the annual policeman's ball, hopsital fund raising galas and high profile affairs where she, delilah and mike were often on hand as incognito security. Haleigh and Delilah both had helped Morgan deal with a stalker who once accosted her on the stage during a fashion show. She , like the rest of the city had heard about her shocking and noble sacrifice. She, as the commanding officer did what she felt was necessary to save her team. She understood Ava was hurting and that there were indeed many unanswered questions. IF Ava's experience with the brass at R.P.D. was anything like her own following Blaze's near fatal attack in Arklay forest then the hostility was understandable but to pretty much blame Delilah for it? No. Morgan wouldnt allow it.>>

<< Delilah sat forward, clearly incensed and she was going to say something about it.>>

<< the summer night storm rolled on, seeming to weaken a bit. They were all quite settled, comfortable and in some cases maybe a little tipsy still unaware of the uninvited guest but Mike's window of opportunity was running out and if Morgan caught him...there would be HELL to pay.>>

Morgan's mansion

[ Delilah was a young, vibrant woman. very athletic with a trim, tone yet feminine figure. her spirit, her heart were as sweet and warm and as bright the light she channeled through her power as a super. She was one of R.P.D.'s most efficient officers and among the first to be asked to join the elite S.T.A.R.S. team.]

[ Delilah was reserved, conservative...one would assume based on her beautifull blonde appearence that she might be different. CAMERON certainly had hoped it would be that way :D but the woman had strong convictions and the courage to stand by them. The trauma she and her team experienced in Arklay Forest was both shocking, an assault on her sense of reality and nothing in her training had prepared her for what she saw...none of them. Indeed, they had no idea that STARS was actually a "counter measure" set up by MYSTECH to help conceal the horrors that risked being unleashed upon the city. They were unwtting pawns more than anything else and considered expendable. of course Delilah didnt know that at FIRST but after Blaze's attack, Haleigh's loss and the way their superiors handled both situations with such shocking apathy and downright public deceit...Delilah RESIGNED. How could she protect herself or others if she wasnt given the information she needed? how could they take such sweeping steps to cover up Blaze and Haleigh's situations and when she resisted, she was shut down faster than an appliance on the fritz. it was insulting. it was frustrating and she wouldnt stand for it.]

[ she decided the best way to protect herself and those she loved was to be near them. she was a super after all. that , coupled with her training, made her a force to be reckoned with. She did stay connected with Mike...her trusted partner. in the days following Haleigh's attack, they helped each other get through the pain as best they could. Morgan also consoled her.]

[ she understood that Haleigh's family would be upset but to be slammed by this woman after just meeting her? No. Delilah was many things, but a doormat was not one of them.]

[ Morgan defends her friend and Delilah slowly slides forward on the spot where she sits, nodding slowly.]

Miss Cassadine?

[ she said in her airy voice.]

You've known me for five minutes and already you've managed to remind me why I'm not friends with more models.

Since you want to be blunt? Let's be blunt.

Haleigh and I have served together from the academy on up. When she was appointed Chief field commander she chose ME over so many other qualified candidates to make her team. I ...never imagined that would happen But again, we served TOGETHER. We were more than partners, we were FRIENDS...close friends. outside of the force and she often spoke of you and how proud of you she was. What she neglected to mention was that you could be a thoughtless, selfish little BITCH who thinks she's the only one who could possibly be HURTING over this.

[Delilah's tone was SHARP as her natural luminescence shifted UP the spectrum from a soft yellow to a slightly more painfull to behold gold hue]

[ the raw honesty and passion of her emotion was clear.]

You weren't there and anything you may have heard doesnt BEGIN to compare to LIVING THROUGH that nightmare. I stayed there for DAYS after the incident using my own power and force of will until i was ordered to leave the crash site. Michael and I...we...we TRIED to continue the search and deeper investigation but we were pulled off the case...any appeals we made were rejected and our attempts to reach out to the other STARS team, the ALPHA team...were met with stone wall silence. Do i look like I was complicit to that? if that's what you think then you're an even BIGGER fool than most people think models are.

I resigned from STARS and the RPD after that. My life as it were...was forever changed. I'm still hurting and while I may not be her blood, i was HERE with her, day in and day out. i was family in the ways it counted. I won't have my feelings or loyalty to my commanding officer, my FRIEND questioned by some upitty prima donna who thinks she can hold any town she comes into hostage.

Just because I survived, does not mean that I don't wish DAILY that I could have found away to get Haleigh out before she seperated from Mike and myself. Until you KNOW something? try ASKING before assuming.

[ Delilah was a woman of courage, she spoke her mind and would never sit silent on the truth and the fact that she'd lost her friend and partner and then had smoke blown up her ass by the very entity she swore to represent with honor and courage...to know that they wouldnt help her or mike and they were basically being told to shut up and fall in line...Delilah would tolerate that and she wouldnt tolerate abuse from some high maintenance model with an invisible tiara on her coiffed hair.]

So if there's nothing else, Miss Cassadine? GET OFF MY DAMN BACK!

Do it, Delilah! :D

Um.. Wow.. I am in love with this woman.. Sharon Kelly WHO? ;)
Delilah: Miss Cassadine? You've known me for five minutes and already you've managed to remind me why I'm not friends with more models.

Ava laughed.

Delilah: Since you want to be blunt? Let's be blunt.

"By all means."

Delilah explained how she and Haleigh were not only partners but friends. She even went as far as to bring up that Haleigh had spoken highly of Ava. But her sharp tongue spit out harsh words that made the elementals eyes narrow with contempt.

Delilah: What she neglected to mention was that you could be a thoughtless, selfish little BITCH who thinks she's the only one who could possibly be HURTING over this.

"She's MY BLOOD, and I can react to her disappearence any damn way I PLEASE. And if we're being blunt here, I don't give a damn how badly YOU'RE hurting. You HAD the chance to save her, and by you're OWN omission, you COULDN'T."

Delilah continued.

Delilah: I resigned from STARS and the RPD after that. So if there's nothing else, Miss Cassadine? GET OFF MY DAMN BACK!

"The only thing i'm going to hold hostage is your TONGUE if you don't shut the fuck up you REPUGNANT piece of TRASH. Haleigh was MY SISTER. I grew up with her. I watched her succeed in life. I was there when she failed. And I'M here NOW after YOU failed. To do what you so obviously COULDN'T. And if YOU think that i'm just some upitty prima donna who doesn't know how to get ROUGH [a massive crash of thunder shook Morgan's estate] then you're an even BIGGER fool than I initially thought."

Ava mocking Delilah's previous statement about models being fools, her eyes were black with anger; a stark contrast to Delilah's luminescence. Stepping over to Alison, she looked at her best friend with murderous eyes KNOWING if she stood one minute longer in front of Delilah, there would be an all out brawl in the middle of Morgan's livingroom.

[to Alison] "Perhaps staying at that halfway house of a hotel isn't such a bad idea afterall."

Her state was not meant to insult Morgan or her generosity, but Ava wouldn't stay one more second in the same house as Delilah Trelaven.

Mike paused, waiting for a chance ot escape and Ava gave it to him, as she and Delilah crossed angry words. The noise and the emotion in the room made it easy to slip out the way he came...

...past the guards and to his car a block away where he fired it up and sped off.

Lounge

:: Cameron watched the scene unfold before his eyes as the women exchanged some rather harsh words with each other. Both of them stating their point clearly and.. bitchy and Cameron couldn't help but be a little turned on by both of them. Tense situation or not he was still a MAN. Nobody seemed to be responding and so Cameron tried his best to alievate the situation or at least help out, this wouldn't get anywhere with the both of them arguing. ::

"Look. This isn't going to go anywhere. Ava, while you are one of my sister's best friends, Delilah is a reliable source and much better than any of the sources you have found thus far [referring to Michael], so maybe we shouldn't be cutting our allies at the throat. We all want to find Haleigh."

:: He wasn't sure if he was overstepping his boundaries but Cameron was an honest person and the fighting wasn't going to cut it. Cameron cast a look at his sister. ::

"I'm not trying to lessen your pain or the pain Delilah has gone through, but we need to focus on the task at hand. Alison wanted us ALL here for a reason, and I trust my sister with my life, as I am sure you all do as well. So why don't we let her talk..."

:: At that moment, Cameron got a psychic reverbation of Mike's car engine firing up and heading down the road of Windmill Pointe. He couldn't tell that he had been in the house but he definitely KNEW it to be Mike. He silently whispered to his sister. ::

"Do you feel Mike hear. I know he is close or was a few minutes ago. I felt him..."

:: Cameron waited. ::

Morgan's mansion

:: Alison had been here a handfull of times before. She knew that Morgan was shrewd model. Not only did she rake in lots of money from her lucrative contract with Rejuvination, but she also invested alot of her income which in turn was yielding or would yield MORE person profits for the sorceress model. Morgan preferred to show her wealth in specific ways...her home, her car and her always impeccable appearence...but unlike other celebrity blondes who were nothing more than "flashes in the pan" at this moment, Morgan surprisingly did not try to hold the spotlight in the clubs or when traveling.::

your home is lovely as ever, Morgan. what a s hame you just don't teleport it to an equally luxurious place in the world...like Greece perhaps? :D

:: She already sensed the woman's pondering to leave Rejuvination and now in her home...she sensed the whispers of trauma not so recently passed. the crucial thing was that her's and blaze's situation was not at all UNCONNECTED to Ava's and Delilahs.::

:: after a harmless flirtation with a few security guards, one of whom she was very cheeky with as she invited him to her suite after he got off duty, the precog was enjoying more top shelf hemlock as she set with the others in the dimly light lounge.::

:: Ava started with Delilah and Alison watched. She already knew what was coming and sure enough Delilah rose up in righteous anger. the sad thing was...Alison could see it was justified. Ava was being unfair to Delilah. Why hadnt she been just as hard on Mike? was it because Delilah was a super? From Delilah's words, she began to look "BACK" and see ghostly recaps of the experience.::

:: Ava, who didnt do well with being challenged by someone she hardly knew, and became inensed as well. Cameron spoke, doing his best to calm the situation. Alison reached up and firmly grabbed hold of her fore arm and PULLED her back down to her seat. The crash of thunder reverberated and shook even this massive piece of property::

Alright Ava, that's enough. We're in Morgan's home, remember? We're GUESTS. Let's ALL show some respect. Cameron is right. We are where we're supposed to be....REMEMBER?

:: she looked at Ava first and then turned her head to lock eyes with Delilah, who had stood up to meet Ava. there was no doubt the woman had courage, conviction, vitality and the power to match. She would definately have given Ava a run for her money and while Alison was Ava's friend and would always have her back...this was ONE fight the precog couldn't justify. She would use this moment to try to smooth things over and lay the foundation for a deeper conversation about why they were all here together at this moment.::

Delilah, I appreciate your position. There's alot of hurt and confusion. But take it from ME...we're all in this room , this place...together for a REASON. as an officer, and a member of S.T.A.R.S. you had training and skill that set you apart and part of that skill was to be able to see MORE than just what was in front of you, to see past deception and put things together that may not have always made sense right? You also had to deal with grieving mothers, wives, husbands, sons...family members whom you had to report the death of a loved one. When y ou wore your badge, I know you faced the grief and sometimes lashing out of victim's families. You understood then that they weren't trying to be personal...right?

Delilah: Miss Marble, just keep your friend and her imaginary tiara on a short leash...or I'll run her over, with something far WORSE than a car. [the mutant balled her fist and manifested a corona of laser light around her fist] I don't care if she's Haleigh's sister or not. She's not going to come into MY yard and talk to me any kind of way. She's a smart mouthed little bitch who doesnt know the meaning of the word respect. Morgan? No offense, babe, But I'm going to take a rain check on tonight. Thank you for having me here and I'll see you tomorrow okay? If you need anything, you know how to reach me and I'll come running. Blaze. Cameron. Miss Marble.

:: Alison looked on grimly as the "lightengale" said her farewell's and hugs to Morgan and Blaze, then acknowledging Cameron. and immediately proceeded to exit. an attendant brought her trench and large umbrella while an outside vallet pulled her sporty luxury car around to the double doors of the circular drive. and soon, the woman was gone. just as fast as it began...it was over. one thing was clear, Delilah may have struggled with grief but certainly not FEAR.::

dammit...

:: Alison said in a lower tone.::

We needed her on our side, Ava. WHY did you do that? I don't like being in Raccoon City ANYMORE than you, you know that! I'm here because I'm watching your back and because I care about you...but we have powerfull friends here and potential, CRUCIAL new allies to make here if we're going to get to the bottom of this and....

:: she was going to say "ESCAPE with our lives..." but then that would put HER on the spot for something she hadnt yet told them. at that moment...Alison heard her brother's communication::

yes. what a fool he is. he's placing himself squarely in the path of mystech's scrutiny and WRATH. Not to mention Morgan's for...BEING IN HER HOUSE!? but he is not OUR concern. the information he has stolen will get him KILLED faster than anything ELSE.

Morgan...Have your security do a sweep of the grounds and the upper floors of your mansion. there's an..."anamoly" of sorts that I can't quite reconcile with the previous and upcoming timethreads i see around this place.

:: looking among the group as everyone settled.::

We'll there's always a bump in the road when traveling the darker path. We'll ALL see Delilah again soon enough...as well as that muscle bound oaf, Michael.

:: Cameron asked who wanted their drink refreshed.::

yes...i'll DRINK to THAT!

:: as she waved the attendant over for a new glass of Hemlock.::

the mansion

<< Morgan stood up. and lifted her hand in a "stop" gesture>>

STOP IT! BOTH OF YOU! This is my HOME!

and Ava, if my hospitality is not enough for you? then THERE'S THE DOOR!

<< noting the SECOND instance in which Ava minimized the value or quality of Morgan's dwelling. Morgan was very protective of home and her family. This was her only space and sanctuary from the world that was truly HER OWN and she made sure it was the best that money could biy. Regardless if Ava or Alison thought much of Raccoon City, this was where Morgan, her mother and sister were and she would never leave them behind.>>

<< She'd come from the same modeling circuit as Ava and landed a lucrative contract, though her time with Rejuvination had caused her to grow disillusioned, she still used her wealth and success to provide for herself and her sister. that alone was enough [for now ] for her to continue what she was doing.>>

<< her first attempt to gently admonish Ava fell on deaf ears and Delilah responded the way most who knew her best would...straight up BLUNT and to the point. Ava got what she deserved for being so rude and so accusatory to the woman after only knowing her for 5 minutes but Ava had a strong personality herself and so now things were escalating...and Morgan wasnt going to have it. not in her house.>>

<< Cameron and Alison stepped in as Blaze stood beside her sister and backed her position. Alison pulled Ava back and tried to appeal to Delilah, who promptly rejected her and threatened Ava before opting to leave. She hugged Morgan and thanked her for the invite and told her that if she needed her to call in that special way and she'd come running.>>

<< they all watched as Delilah walked away and was handed her trench and umbrella before her car was brought around. the woman was soon gone.>>

Ava, you come here...once every blue moon and have no better sense than to attack my friend? that woman is my BEST FRIEND since childhood! She's HELPED ME and my family when MY sister was nearly KILLED in Arklay forest. She's been there for us time and again and she's been through HELL herself lately. I know you're hurting and your upset...but you're not the ONLY one struggling with an issue here tonight and dammit...you're acting REALLY rude, selfish and like a straight up SNOB right now and it's pissing me off!

I'm SOOO sorry that my multi million dollar home is not up to your standards. I thought I would extend my hospitality to a friend , but apparently where I live is not good enough for you and my friends are beneath your ability to show even an OUNCE of respect.

<< Blaze calmed Morgan, who was visibly upset that Ava had seemingly drove away a friend that had been there for her through thick and thin. Alison checked Ava and soon, everyone [ who were all perhaps a little buzzed by alcohol] were seated in their spots...silent for a few moments before Alison pushed on.>>

There's this feeling in the air...all this tension and distrust. I feel like I should be at the office, Blaze, this kind of thing happens THERE all the time but...this is MY HOME. This kind of shit isn't supposed to happen here and I won't have it!

bring me some champagne, and a vallium!

<< Mogan said to the attendant as she leaned back on the leather sectionaly and exhaled. it was still very much raining outside, no doubt the storm spiked again due to Ava's emotional influence. the group took the time to settle and sort through the tension. they had more reason to find common GROUND than to be at each other's throats and they all knew that with a reminder from Alison>>

So...<< she said in a calmer tone.>> we know why you're here...and I'm guessing that disc on the table has something to do with it too?

Morgan's mansion

Morgan, we THANK YOU again for your hospitality. Tempers are a little flared, nerves are on edge. Just don't toss us out into the cold, dark rainy night...at least not without giving me a man to frolick in the rain with.

:: winking, as she did her best to keep things lighter. they ALL refreshed their drinks and Alison handed Ava a fresh goblet.::

Things got off to a rough start and we really could have benefited from Delilah but that's not the way things went, so let's just move on. We'll see Delilah again soon enough.

<< Morgan and Blaze seemed to agree and moved on. asking about the disc.>>

Michael Armstrong, Delilah and Haleigh's other partner...the man Ava has a crush on.

<< deliberately ribbing Ava as she giggled a bit.>>

He gave that to her after our delightful little jaunt to a place called..."BOOTY'S" on the side of town that Raccoon City apparently FORGOT to develope :: laughing::

...i thought it was going to be a ...topless bar but can you believe it was a restaurant of sorts? not the place anyone in THIS room would go to eat since i know we're all thinking of our figures. Poor Ava had to go in there.

Anyway, he offered her this and told her to look at it. If you don't mind, Morgan, we'll use your media center here to watch the playback.

:: gesturing with her index and middle finger a'la Prue Halliwell, a rushing, chiming sound is heard as the disc flies through the air and lands perfectly into the awaiting open drive and then the drive shuts. soon the large flat panel on the wall turned on at Alison's behest and the disc began to play.::

:: the video was narrarated by DELILAH!::

information

:: Morgan, Blaze, Ava, Alison and Cameron watched as the disc began to play.::

Delilah: It began as a simple investigation into a series of bizarre attacks and murders in the forest outside of Raccoon City.

<< images of bloody corpses laying on a cabin floor were seen.>>

Nothing in our training could prepare us for what we discovered. This is Delilah Trelevan, member of S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team.

:: images and pictures of Delilah in her RPD uniform and her much more sleek and stylish S.T.A.R.S. uniform played out::

Delilah: there have been several people who have gone missing, others found dead in the forest near the arklay mountain range. the R.P.D. had been flooded with calls from family of the victims and the risk of public outcry was imminent. the final straw was when Blaze Fielding, daughter of Dr. Karen Victoria and sister of model Morgan Victoria was attacked, along with her friends. SHe was the ONLY survivor. When she was brought to Raccoon City hospital, she was bloody and nearly catatonic. the higher ups called out the S.T.A.R.S. bravo team to investigate.

Myself, Michael Armstrong << images of him in his RPD uniform and his later S.T.A.R.S. uniform played out.>> and our commanding officer, Haleigh Davidoff << images of her in her RPD uniform and then her later S.T.A.R.S uniform played out.>> were dispatched to Arklay forest.

<< a sweeping aerial view of arklay forest and the mountain range can be seen.>>

<< pictures of Blaze's campsight.>>

We could not find much. Blaze said that they had been attacked by monsters...cannibals! but the forest ranger and paramedics insisted that she was delirious and that it was more likely wild animals. This was one of MANY similar reports of the same NATURE.

<< images of Haleigh, Delilah and Mike are shown once again.>>

We found something alright...

<< images of wild, rabid dobermans...but they looked slightly decayed. the images flashed on the screen.>>

Haleigh came upon a train, long abandonned or so it seemed. the Elliptical express. a small luxury passenger train thought to have been decommissioned 20 years ago. after fending off what we THOUGHT was the source of Blaze's attack, we joined Haleigh in searching the train...what we found...was a nightmare.

:: live images that Delilah and Mike had both manage to copy to their personal files before RPD had the original feeds destroyed began to flicker on to the screen. sounds of gun fire, Haleigh, Delilah and Mike shouting as they frantically worked to stay together.::

Haleigh: Sir...this is the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team, we are with the Raccoon Police Department. Can you hear us?

<< Delilah and Mike watch closely as Haleigh attempts to communicate with a man sitting in his seat...he LOOKS "in tact"...but as his head slowly turns...and his eyes open, they open to reveal horrific looking pupils and irises...and his mouth drops open as a LEECH slithers out of it.>>

Delilah: what the fuck!?

Michael: Haleigh, Delilah, the floor and ceiling...covered with those..THINGS!

<< the three quickly stand together as they hold their ground against an army of large, bizarre, slithering leeches, some even LUNGE for the camera feed capturing this. gun fire and photon blasts (courtesy of delilah) can be heard and seen.>>

<< and then, it gets worse...as groaning and gurgling can be heard.>>

Delilah: HALEIGH!

<< vics from various passenger seats slowly rise up...all looking horribly decrepit and bizarre. they arent alive...they arent even human...they're ZOMBIES, the first time these three have been confronted with them>>

Michael: aw SHIT....

Haleigh: STOP! Don't come any closer....

<< the zombies make their slow, lumbering advance toward them in the cabin.>>

Haleigh: Alright, shoot 'em down!

<< and again, the team unleashes their fury with heavy artillery and photon blasts, finally realizing that to shoot them in the head is the best way to take them down. after killing off about 12, the team has a moment to exhale. The resume exploring the train with no more encounters with these creatures. Soon things go from bad to worse as the train inexplicably LURCHES and begins to OPERATE! speeding off down the track that had not been known to be there before by most.>>

<< Haleigh sends Delilah and Mike to find the emergency break located on the outside of the caboose while she reaches the conductor's cabin and gains more information about the train and its specs. they work to try to gain physical control of the train since its obviously being operated by a remote source at the moment but soon, Delilah and Mike are once again confronted with zombies as is Haleigh...train staff and other long dead passengers.>>

<< the train speeds UP reaching DANGEROUS speeds and as the three battle for survival, Haleigh realizes that the majority of the creatures are closer to HER rather than her partners and that the only way for this situation to get back to RPD so that they can get more reinforcements out here to investigate is to ensure that someone survives...she uses her own power to mentally SEPERATE her cabin and the two cabins between her and her team from the caboose. she radios them to get the hell out of the forest while they can and get S.T.A.R.S Alpha team....that there's a TUNNEL coming up and that's where she'll be.>>

<< Delilah and Mike protest but they can't catch up to Haleigh and watch with horror as the train filled with zombies speeds off into the tunnel and EXPLODES.>>

<< the feed flickers as Mike grabs Delilah and hurls them both off the remaining runaway cabin of the train...>>

<< Michael takes over narraration.>>

Michael: We searched for hours...days...picking off more of these things...these leeches and dogs in the forest. what the hell are they? where did they come from...and this train?

No sign of Haleigh anywhere...and no way to get further into the tunnel. Delilah used her power over light to try to get us a better view but all we saw was more of those things, we could hear them too...that growling and groaning that they do.

Days pass and I'm running low on ammo. Delilah uses her light to send up flares as we wait...PRAY that the STARS alpha team shows up. finally they do. but instead of joining us in the rescue effort of Haleigh, they evac us, telling us we have our orders to leave.

<< images of Mike and Delilah standing before shadowed superiors in the RPD executive offices can be seen.>>

They told us we were off the case. No word, no reason. No interest in finding Haleigh. our partners on STARS Alpha had no balls either. they refused to even listen to us. That was it. We were sent out there, nearly got our asses ate up and lost our partner...but even with what we found and showed them, this is what they did. they took my feed, but not before Delilah and I copied this. We're going to make sure this gets out...what we saw, happened to us, what happened to Haleigh. Somebody knows what's going on.

<< the screen fades to black. before shifting to more images. reports about mysterious and questionable waste dumping going on in water ways leading from the forest into the rivers surrounding Raccoon City. reports of stranges noises and sightings at night by vacationing hikers. copies of hospital and emergency room reports about victims of "animal attacks" which didnt match the very real, gory photos of the victim's wounds that looked more like savage HUMAN bites. >>

Michael: there's something going on in Raccoon City. something big and far reaching and it involves many people. Delilah and I can't get anyone to listen to us, but Haleigh's last command was for us to make SURE we got this out...got SOMEONE to listen and get involved with looking into it and that's what we're going to do.

Delilah: We need to find Haleigh. I can't bear the thought of her being out there... this city is full of sheep. unwilling to open their eyes and see that all is not what it seems. to speak out and stand up. i fear that will be our undoing. I have resigned from S.T.A.R.S and the RPD becuase I can't function under their apathy and hypocrasy. If I'm going to protect myself, my friends and find Haleigh, i must be able to do it on MY terms.

<< final images of Michael, Delilah and Haleigh flicker before the disc concludes.>>

How the hell did this turn into gang-up-and-blame-Ava night? She didn't even directly STATE that she blamed Delilah, but obviously that two bit blonde bitch had insecurity issues and GUILT weighing on her. She needed to get her frustrations out somehow. And in true fashion, everyone went running to defend HER making Ava look like the big bad wolf. Rolling her eyes, she had played worse roles.

Alison pulled her back, explaining they needed Delilah there; that she had foresaw it. Ava simply glared as the walking lightbright bid everyone farewell and left. This didn't ease the tension in the room however. MORGAN soon jumped on the 'lets all defend Delilah' bandwagon and yell at her for treating her friend with disrespect.

"Well excuse me for DEFENDING myself, Morgan. I'm not going to stand back and be disrespected by ANYONE, INCLUDING your friend. So if you want me to leave, then i'll leave."

Ava shook her head and lifted her hands up in a 'i'm over it' gesture. Walking away from Alison, the precog tried to smooth things over, explaining that everyone was under a huge amount of stress, and that they would be more than happy to stay in Morgan's house. Downing a shot of Everclear quickly, Ava's lips tightened and eyes shut as her mouth and throat stung from the burn of the alcohol. And soon both Morgan and Blaze finally lightened up and agreed to continue on with the evening.

Alison: Michael Armstrong, Delilah and Haleigh's other partner...the man Ava has a crush on.

"Shut UP."

Ava snapped playfully, shoving her back.

Alison: He gave that to her after our delightful little jaunt to a place called..."BOOTY'S" on the side of town that Raccoon City apparently FORGOT to develope.

Taking a seat, Alison used to magick to begin the disc. Ava watched closely as Delilah and Mike began to recall the events of that evening. Even HALEIGH was on it....showing their experience, moment by moment, in Arklay forest. Ava's hard eyes softened at the sight of her sister, watching as her cabin had more zombies and leeches than Delilah and Mike's. She mentally detatched her cabin to SAVE her teammates. Sacrificing her life for them, which made Ava even more upset. Watching as the cabin EXPLODED, Ava shut her eyes, lowing her head away from the direction of the screen. She didn't want to watch it any further.....She KNEW Haleigh was alive--she could feel it in her bones--but after seeing the explosion, it was hard not believe that somehow she did die. Or that she was badly hurt trying to fight off those disgusting experimentations.

Cupping her hands over her face, Ava sighed.

"I'm sorry, Morgan."

Lifting her head from her hands, she looked over at her old friend.

"I....shouldn't have blamed Delilah for this--what happened. They....obviously couldn't do anything for Haleigh. No one could have.."

Now turning to Alison, looking for reassurance.

"She IS still alive, isn't she Alison? Your visions haven't change, right? [looking back at the screen] That explosion seemed so...FINAL."

in the mansion

<< Morgan didnt want to send Ava and Alison away. But this was proof that beneath the beautifull faces and large bank accounts, they were all under GREAT stress and burden. >>

<< after things settled, Alison set up the disc and they began to watch. It was all so clear and vivid...and yet it seemed so UNREAL! Morgan too was shocked by what she saw. It was like watching people she knew in a MOVIE rather this being all too real. >>

this is ...outrageous...

<< she said as she placed her hand on Blaze's arm. recalling the night Blaze was brought to Raccoon City Hospital and the PANIC that both Karen and Morgan experienced. The video feed played in its entirety and Morgan felt horrible watching Haleigh sacrifice herself. There was obviously no way Mike and Delilah even WITH her super power could have survived in that tunnel or whatever other place lay in there alone for long. >>

Ava...I'm sorry about your sister. She was good woman, honest and would help her friends without question. She even helped ME fend off a crazed stalker once.

The whole city was shocked when her "loss" was announced but now...it seems like the media output was just a coverup...and that's why Delilah resigned from the R.P.D.

<< she looked at her old friend.>>

I didnt mean to treat you like an enemy Ava. I'm sorry for that.

Delilah would never tell me ...just WHAT happened. Maybe she didnt think I'd believe her...but then again...not many people believe in WITCHES.

<< she looks at them all.>>

Blazes attack...it changed everything for me and my sister.

<< Morgan "opened" up to them a bit.>>

The R.P.D. pretty much dismissed us. We didnt even KNOW that they had sent "S.T.A.R.S." to investigate it. It's "on record" that Blaze was attacked by wild animals...but ALL of her friends were killed and two of their bodies are still missing! Blaze hasnt been the same since...neither have I...neither has my mother.

That night at the hospital...it's still as fresh in my mind as the night it actually happened...

<< she gulps down her champagne and valium.>>

I don't think anyone in the civilian world was aware of this...what we just saw here and the R.P.D. is COVERING IT UP!

<< Ava asks Alison for confirmation about Haleigh's status and Morgan looks over to see what the seer will say.>>
