Ororo's ghost story II: Outbreak

the...control room/laboratory...is just down this hall. I need to get there to get a special key to release the person I've come for. hopefully....with her help, perhaps we can escape this place together. there's also a log...Marcus' personal log. I must find it...and get it to the press. I've spent so much time giving IN to this awfull entity. If i can do something to help ENSURE its downfall...then i MUST. Only then will i know my daughters will be safe...should something happen to me tonight.

We'll get it. Just calm yourself a bit. We will be fine.

Nicolas didn't really believe it per se, but he felt that Karen needed to hear it. Nicolas knew a lot about THINGS, but sadly not much about people. He had to rely on instinct and feelings, and right now he would have told Karen anything if it would make her keep fighting.
As they entered the control room/lab, she told him of what had happened before she ended up at his room, of Marcus' transformation and assault, and of the women who came in to stage some sort of takeover...

be carefulll and dont touch ANYTHING.

The warning was poorly noted as Nicolas quickly moved to look at the figures in the oxygenated nutrient bath stasis tubes. They were grotesque, with features enhanced to monstrous proportions, their symmetry utterly destroyed through experimentation. Nicolas shuddered involuntarily to think that THEY could have just as easily been HIM. And as his TK powers kept increasing, coming into their own, he still noted the bewildering nature of the complex. It was designed to befuddle anyone not familiar with it. Even HIM. He turned back t o speak to Karen as she seemed to find what she wanted...

...only to see the walls and ceiling erupt in the same golden leeches that killed the only Dad he could remember, Sharon's husband. His screams and the smell of it all nearly drove him to his knees until he realized the danger to Karen as the enveloped her!!

NO!!! MA!!! Get AWAY FROM HER!!!

Nicolas struck out at the leeches as they encircled Karen, his power expressed in a primal manner as he literally tore the leeches apart inside out, the waves of force emanating as a massive shockwave through the room. The stasis tubes held, but one could only wonder about the more delicate computer systems. An alarms erupted the quickly died as he tore over to Karen, helping her up and checking her.

Are you OKohmygodthosewerewhatkilledmyadoptivedadsolongagopleasesayyouareOK!!!

Before Karen could respond he picked her up like a child, carrying her quickly out and down the hall to the holding cells. He set her down and checked her over quickly before he saw the cells. One contained a corpse, some poor soul who did not survive to be rescued. He appeared to be a police officer of come sort. The next one contained a zombie, his jaws snapping and throat emitting the wail that he'd heard throughout the mansion. He lunged at them, but the energy cage held him easily, and Nicolas relaxed a second.

The final one held a woman...absolutely beautiful. Nicolas was immediately entranced, having never seen a woman other than Karen and though Karen was beautiful, never having seen a woman in THAT light before. Not in person. Nicolas looked upon her and knew that her mind was the one he'd touched before. Nicolas stepped over to the cage, not paying attention to the fact that it was still on. He spoke to her mentally as he approached, his rush of emotions, mental and physical washing over Haleigh like a tide as he stepped forward.

We are coming for you, pretty lady. Do not worry. You will be safe now.

ZZZZZARK!!!!FZZZZZZZZZTT!!!

Nicolas' hand reached out to her, ignoring the feedback as he tried to reassure her. Karen would immediately notice his primal reaction to the young woman...

Everything was going well so far, at least for the end of the damned world as he knew it. At least they were united and one of 'em seemed determined to make sure that if he survived he would enjoy the after-party. They were ready to roll when they heard a scream. Delilah rushed right out to the source the team in tow when they say the Police Chief, except he looked like an executioner with a nest of hornet in his pants. He roared, showing strength and speed that Mike had never seen before. He'd heard rumors that some drugs could do this, but to see it up close...

He lunged at Delilah with the chainsaw as the rest of the team worked together. He slowed down somehow (Alison? What the fuck COULDN'T she do?!), then revved back up, going for Morgan and Delialh as Morgan put up some sort of magic whatchamajig. Mike had no time to see if it would work, so he chopped the electric line to the set of sockets on the wall, pulling the still-alive and crackling wires free with his gloved hands.

Thank God for insulation...

As the beast raised his chainsaw high to cut at Delilah and Morgan, Mike placed the raw wires to the base of his neck, half-expecting it the raw voltage to do little other than get his attention, but determined that no one else here would die. Not today.

He jumped back as the voltage arced onto the once-Police Chief...

After it was established that Delilah had the grim reaper tailing her, what does the bitch do? Go running after a mysterious scream down the hall.

"You've got to be KIDDING me?!"

Morgan high tailed it over Delilah, and everyone else followed--including Ava. By the time Ava entered the room a man came rushing at Delilah with a chainsaw about to make mince meat out of her. Alison quickly froze him, but to both hers AND Alison's surprise it only slowed the man! Morgan quickly tackle/flew Delilah away from the chainsaw wielding man giving Mike time to take some bare wires and electrocute him. Though raw electricity was damn powerful and could kill any human in seconds, if this man could fight through Alison's freezing power, Ava had a hunch that Mike's efforts would be in vain.

The man seemed to stagger and struggle from Mike's quick thinking, so Ava took this opportunity to cause the floor beneath him to turn into quicksand. With his erratic movements, he instantly sunk into the ground up to his torso. Solidifying the ground before he realized what was happening, the man was completely stuck. For how long, she didn't know. But it at least gave them the chance to get rid of him for good.

"Someone, cut off his head before he escapes!"

Alison had given her what pretty much amounted to a death sentence. But she couldn't think about that now, so she pushed those thoughts all the way down into her subconscious. She couldn't fall apart now, not with so much left to do. And if she had to die to save Haleigh, well, then there was no question about it, was there?

It felt strange to be back in her old S.T.A.R.S. uniform, but strangely comforting as well. She still believed in the idea of it, in what it was supposed to stand for. But it had just gotten too far away from that - it has been corrupted by those who should have protected it.

As they heard a scream (and oddly for a police station, a chain saw) Delilah rushed toward it, not thinking, and a little too cavalier even for her. Delilah saw the woman. She saw the crazed maniac (her former boss - same difference). She saw the chainsaw. And everything slowed down. She paused, for just a second. The thought seeped in: Was this how it happened? That second of hesitation allowed him to come toward her - but luckily Morgan was there, pushing her out of the way.

Persephone said:
"Someone, cut off his head before he escapes!"

Delilah snapped to as if she had just awoken from a deep sleep. She pointed a finger at the former police chief, and with a beam of light as sharp and defined as a razor and a flick of her wrist, she separated the man's head from his shoulders.

She stepped over to where his body lay in two pieces, looking down.

"You should have listened to me, Chief."

It wasn't quiet down here. There were constant sirens and occasional screams, the gurgling snarls from her next door neighbor, and the general cacophony of unrest that seemed to come from every corner of the place. But there was one noise that sounded itself clearly, breaking through the rest and commanding her full attention.

Hello...

It sounded nearby and yet, did not seem to come from any particular direction. Haleigh glanced around to identify the voice. The Alpha Stars captive was dead, she knew that. She looked at the other 'live' captive, the zombie which hadn't spoken any intelligible words in 48 hours.

"Did you-- [eyeing it doubtfully] Never mind."

It snapped and snarled at her some more, confirming her dismissal of its ability to communicate effectively. But the voice she'd heard.... that continued on with perfect articulation.

where are you? If I can locate you, I will come for you as soon as we find whoever else we are supposed to free.

Haleigh sighed. Hearing disembodied voices was a bad sign. Surely she had lost her mind completely, cracked under stress. It happened often, really, to people who'd experienced situations much like this. She supposed she should have expected it sooner. Still, it was a bit disheartening. How could she hope to survive if she hadn't any powers AND wasn't right in the head? What if she let her new imaginary friend talk her into doing something senseless?

She was debating over whether to tell 'him' to stop talking to her, or just go ahead and go crazy with some conviction, when the whole structure shook beneath her and a deafening sound reverberated from down the hall. Haleigh warily rose to her feet, tempered both by caution and by the collar that kept her submissive. Something was coming this way, and she wasn't sure if she should be thrilled or terrified. She thought she heard Karen, but then.... now that she was imagining voices.... she couldn't be certain.

And then she found reason to be elated, for she saw Karen coming down the hall towards her. There was someone with her, a tall dark and handsome. Haleigh was so relieved she allowed herself to be amused. Karen, you cougar you.

[to Karen] "Good grief, am I happy to see you."

Her companion came closer, and the zombie in the cell next to Haleigh went crazy with hunger and rage.

[to Nicolas] "Oh, don't mind him, he's rude but he can't get out."

The man neared Haleigh's cell and she looked up at him to find herself OVERWHELMED with.... desire? How strange. She was fairly DIZZY with it and she wasn't even sure where it came from. She too distracted to realize it was rolling off HIM in waves. The voice spoke again, assuring her that she was safe and would be freed soon. Haleigh gently sat back down on her cot, taking a slow breath to steady herself, her hand going automatically to her forehead. She was only vaguely aware that Karen's accomplice was stinging himself against the energy field that emanated from the very bars of her cell.

"Karen, you've got to get this thing OFF me... I think it's malfunctioning... it's... [unable to explain without sounding ridiculous] something's wrong."

:: As if things couldn't get possibly worse than what they were right now everyone was alerted to the sounds of screaming and a chainsaw. Everything was moving so fast. He knew that he wouldn't be able to slow the psychopath but he could help the killer's victim. He looked at the woman who was in agonizing pain as he pushed into her mind as his pupils dilated. ::

"Sshh.. It's alright dear. Calm down. It's gonna be alright..."

:: He whispered to her as the telepath mentally sedated the woman, calming her mind and causing her to go unconscious so that she wouldn't be in so much pain. He turned back as he watched Ava trap the man in quicksand and Delilah seemed to finish him off. ::

"This night just keeps getting better and better..."

keep BACK!

Ava followed up, keeping him from recovering as she used her power to trap him down into the floor and finally, Delilah snapped into focus as she used her LASER. and decapitated the crazed man. he dropped to his knees and slumped to the floor as Alison stopped the chainsaw from moving.>>

oh GAWD...

was that it? was that the death vision you saw, Alison?

Alison: No...

<< Morgan looked dismayed.>>

Alison: If they survive, the word about Mystech will spread. the COVER UP they try to use will fail. They are going to try to use the chaos of this nightmare to mask their MURDERING of Delilah first and foremost and then Mike.

Morgan: Not if I have anything to do with it! Delilah is FAMILY to me!

Blaze: and ME! Let them bring it...I'll burn them up the way I SHOULD have in the forest!

:: Alison looked no less grim even as they dispatched the crazy, violent police chief.::

I wish i could tell you that was it, Morgan. But it's not. Not by a long shot.

:: but before anything else happened, they all found themselves looking at the young woman on the chief's desk. she was telepathically sedated...but badly hurt.::

There's nothing we can do. Cameron, use your telepathic powers...and ease her passing. make it as quiet and painless as possible.

:: with the exception of Ava, the others looked at Alison in disbelief.::

Blaze: you're going to KILL Her?!

:: Alison looked over at the green eyed fire elemental::

Alison: What would suggest we do, Blaze? Heal her and leave her behind? LOOK at her. Her injuries are designed to PROLONG pain and suffering. Even if Morgan and I combined our magicks to restore her body ...where would we send her? if we leave her here...she will die. THIS way she will be granted a painless passing and set FREE from her suffering. It is the most humane thing. Moreover, we do not have the TIME to be here any longer! we have our destination...we must get there and escape while we can! Her life...and its course were FOREVER altered and DOOMED whe she came here for shelter from what was happening outside. NOW , at least she will be able to pass on in peace and safety.

Cameron, go ahead.

:: Alison said in a somber tone. She took NO joy or pleasure in this, BUT she knew the logic of this and the overall bigger picture.::

Arklay - Underground

<< Karen rubbed her forehead as she regulated her breathing. Nicolas, after destroying that hoard ofo leeches, immediately picked her up, although she would have preferred he NOT, and carried her away from the area. >>
Nicolas...put me down please...

<< he set her down and checked her over as she coughed a bit. and then looked around. Nicolas had quickly carried down down the long dark hall into the actual area of the holding cells. she knew where Haleigh was. she'd visited her there often, especially when Marcus had attempted to probe HER genetic structure.>>

Haleigh said:
[to Karen] "Good grief, am I happy to see you."
Her companion came closer, and the zombie in the cell next to Haleigh went crazy with hunger and rage.
[to Nicolas] "Oh, don't mind him, he's rude but he can't get out."

<< Karen didnt immediately respond. she was still getting her own bearings. the evening was beginning to take a physical toll on her now. she was in GREAT shape, better than most "cougars" her age and she looked well younger than her years but her body WAS that of an older woman's.>>

<<sigh>>

ZZZZZARK!!!!FZZZZZZZZZTT!!!
Nicolas' hand reached out to her, ignoring the feedback as he tried to reassure her. Karen would immediately notice his primal reaction to the young woman...

<< Nicolas was responding on a variety of levels to this young woman who was pretty indeed. certainly more close to his age and more reasonable and expected for him to be drawn to Haleigh in a PHYSICAL way than Karen who viewed herself as a mother figure to him.>>

Haleigh...I'm sorry for the delay but it REALLY couldnt be help, as you've no doubt observed even from where you've been. I dont know that I would have gotten here, even with my own special abilities and knowledge of this dreadfull place without the help of this young man, Nicolas King.

<<she looked at Nicolas. the fact that Karen had achieved her goal but was not more relieved was not a good sign for any of them. but as Nicolas touched the forcefield and the feedback sounded off, Karen saw what was happening and knew why.>>

Nicolas!

<< she said in a firm, maternal tone....followed by her pointing her finger and zapping him on his behind with a small bolt of magick to get his attention :D>>
We will have Haleigh out soon enough and I will remove the collar on her neck, if you would kindly step back?

<< she waved for him to move back as she stepped over to the kep pad and keyed in the access code to unlock Haleigh's cell. Once free from confinement, Haleigh stepped forward, silently eager for freedom from the collar! >>

Hold still for a moment...

<< Karen brought forth the golden small key and applied it to the key hole of the collar and turned it. after a few seconds, the power turned off and the collar unlocked, Karen took the collar from Haleigh's neck.>>

You may experience some disorientation as your body reintigrates itself...your your powers and all becoming yours to command again. We have a precious few moments to rest here...but i'm afraid thats it.

<< she looks between Haleigh and Nicolas.>>

Nicolas, this is Haleigh...like you, she came to be a guest of mystech's some time ago...only she was captured and held prisoner. i did my best to make sure she was treated humanely and kept from the bulk of Marcus' machinations and now Haleigh, I must ask....

<< she looked at Haleigh with her tired and haunting blue eyes...>>

I trust that our agreement still stands? You will make sure that my daughters are granted safe passage out of raccoon city and ALL files on my family are erased?

I don't care what happens to me...but you MUST make sure that they are safe!

<< whatever happened to Karen tonight, Haleigh could see the trauma had scarred her. Like Nicolas, She learned awhile ago too that Karen was more VICTIM than perpetrator here in this awfull place.>>

Despite Delilah's need to go run off and protect every living thing in Raccoon City even though Alison had just told her her life was in danger, the woman finally got her shit together and laser-removed her ex boss' head. As he slumped forward dead, Ava looked over at Alison who had her eyes trained onto the unconscious woman laying on the desk.

Alison: There's nothing we can do. Cameron, use your telepathic powers...and ease her passing. make it as quiet and painless as possible.

Blaze: you're going to KILL Her?!

Ava wasn't as surprised about this revelation as everyone else seemed to be. Alison was the most logical person she knew--and for good reason. With the burden of seeing the future, how could you not be? Even if the woman was healed, how would she survive this city? If they took her with them, how would she survive the forest? She would a liability to them and most likely not survive either way. So as Cameron slowly eased the woman into death, Ava lowered her eyes and softly sighed.

After a few beats of silence, Ava quietly broke it.

"...We should get going."

Spellbinder: was that it? was that the death vision you saw, Alison?

Delilah's head swiveled toward's Alison, waiting for the answer. But it could never be THAT easy, could it? Delilah had been a cop for a long time - she was used to having her life in danger. There were years where each day could have been her last. She wasn't sure that the knowing was worse than the not knowing.

Alison: No...

Alison: If they survive, the word about Mystech will spread. the COVER UP they try to use will fail. They are going to try to use the chaos of this nightmare to mask their MURDERING of Delilah first and foremost and then Mike.

"Oh, so it's just someone trying to murder me. I can handle that - better than death by brain-eating."

She tried to make a joke, but somehow it didn't come out that funny. Especially when she turned and looked at the frightened woman, the one that they were apparently going to euthanise. Delilah didn't even know what to say about her. Normally, she would have argued that she deserved the right to a chance to live. But now, with things the way they were, weren't they right that this was the merciful thing to do?

She kept uncharacteristically silent. Because for some reason, she couldn't bear to have the woman's fate on her shoulders, either way. Although she knew that even in keeping silent, she was signing the woman's death certificate, either way.

Mike sighed as the "boss" had his head removed for him. He stood quickly and looked over the woman who was laying on the table. Alison declared that Cameron should euthanize the woman, who did have serious wounds but was not unsalvageable for THIS bunch.

Mike looked at her in disbelief as she explained to Blaze, who found her voice first.

Her life...and its course were FOREVER altered and DOOMED when she came here for shelter from what was happening outside. NOW , at least she will be able to pass on in peace and safety.

Cameron, go ahead.

Mike held up a hand.

Hold on a minute, before we start MURDERING INNOCENT PEOPLE and trying to say that it is a noble thing. It may be logical, but it is still murder.

He paused a moment so that the thought would sink in. He made no effort to sugarcoat what Alison had suggested.

Besides, she COULD be of use to us. Can't we heal her and teleport her to...say...Las Vegas or LA with telepathic instructions to deliver a copy of our proof to the media? Wouldn't that both give her a fighting chance and maybe keep our HUMANITY intact?

Mike was pleading even as Cameron worked...he hoped the telepath would stay his hand...this was all he could do.

Nicolas!

<< she said in a firm, maternal tone....followed by her pointing her finger and zapping him on his behind with a small bolt of magick to get his attention >>

We will have Haleigh out soon enough and I will remove the collar on her neck, if you would kindly step back?

Her tone and the tingle of her zap to his backside pulled him out for moment, but the openness of Haleigh's mind and the feedback of emotions and sensations still had him intoxicated. He stepped back just enough to allow Karen to help her then he looked into Haleigh's eyes deeply as he regarded her after she was free.

He could sense her mind working, and he worked to restrain himself as she came around. he smiled widely, speaking to her with his voice, at once even, smooth and deep.

I TOLD you we would find you. Now let's get out of here and help the others.

Karen: Haleigh...I'm sorry for the delay but it REALLY couldnt be help, as you've no doubt observed even from where you've been.

Haleigh steadied herself, as Karen neared, slowly withdrawing her hand from her eyes and managing a small smile.

"If course, Karen. I understand, it's been… chaotic tonight. Well I'm glad you both made it here, delayed or not."

Karen called Nicolas' name sharply and broke his concentration, and at once Haleigh felt the emotions that had overcome her like a riptide finally abated and released her. She eyed him suspiciously for a moment but said nothing as she carefully stood and stepped forth to be freed from the wretched collar. Karen warned her about the side effects of removing the collar, but Haleigh was already insouciant. She was certain any discomfort she might experience would be brief and WELL worth getting her powers back. Her smile grew as the collar came off, and she absently rubbed her neck where it had been, feeling truly liberated despite still being trapped in this awful mansion. Karen introduced her to Nicolas and she gave him a winning smile, now free from the nausea and temperance of the collar, she was feeling much stronger than before. They met eyes and she felt another wave of emotion but this time, she realized it was not what she was feeling, but what HE felt. It didn't surprise her, but then, attraction was not a reaction that was unfamiliar to her. She had long since learned to overlook the kind of attention that her beauty consistantly garnered her. That kind of desire was easily sated. What SHE yearned for was something meaningful, something she'd come to realize she may NEVER find. It seemed that men who didn't see her as merely a conquest often found to her be too intimidating, too independent, or too opinionated. Once the initial attraction wore off for this young man, Haleigh was certain he would be no different and so, she regarded him politely. But something about his gaze was unnervingly piercing… as if his searching eyes could see right into her soul, yet she did not look away… she felt transfixed there under his beaming smile.

Karen: "And now Haleigh, I must ask…"

Looking over, as if snapped out of a daze, her attention settled on a weary Karen.

Karen: I trust that our agreement still stands? You will make sure that my daughters are granted safe passage out of Raccoon City and ALL files on my family are erased? I don't care what happens to me, but you MUST make sure that they are safe!

[nodding solemnly] "Absolutely, Karen. You held up your end of the deal, and I shall do the same, you have my word; whatever ELSE may happen, your daughters will be safe, free and clear when this is over."

Nicolas: I TOLD you we would find you. Now let's get out of here and help the others.

It was the first time Nicolas had spoken ALOUD to her, and she instantly recognized his voice as the one that had previously been in her head. Well… he could have mentioned that, and not left her wondering if she'd been insane all this time, but it didn't matter anymore. She gave him a sly smile and amusedly shook her head as she looked at him.

"Yes…. Indeed you did. Well, I'd take the time to thank you, but you're right, time IS of the essence. Let's move. Karen, stay tight to the rear, you let us mow down the opposition. I have the floor plan of this place, I'll lead us out of here if you don't object. I'll try to take the path of least resistance, but a LOT of the cameras are malfunctioning, so we'll have to take our chances in some spots."

As Haleigh regarded him, locked into his gaze, he could see her feelings laid bare. Desire...certainly it was shared. In fact, some of her thoughts were things that he'd not considered previously in the realm of physical pleasure. But the thing that stuck out to him was her lack of faith in something long-lasting, in the permanence of devotion.

Nicolas already felt an attraction, and now he felt a kindred spirit as he himself had often closed himself off from others emotionally because he sensed that they did not TRULY care (as in his abductors) or that they would not always be there (even Karen fell into this category now). But this woman...a prisoner like him, someone looking for permanence...he was drawn to her.

Nicolas returned to speaking to Haleigh mentally as he took his place.

Perhaps we will have to time to spend at a later date and I can hold you to that "thanks". Especially if you can do THAT with your body. I would not miss that show for anything.

Nicolas chuckled a deep chuckle in her head. His confidence was reassuring.

I doubt I will find you too intimidating or opinionated to deal with since I like debate very much, and NO you are not crazy. So let's move-OH! One last thing. You can make metal objects with your mind? Now THAT is cool. Can you make THIS?

Nicolas sends her specs for a HUGE hammer/axe combination of exquisite design and detail.

I would REALLY like to have that if you don't mind...

The girls death seemed to be a done deal. Delilah kept quiet...which was very surprising to Ava since she was enthusiastic about saving EVERYTHING. Morgan and Blaze just looked somber about it. And poor Cameron....he actually had to COMMIT the act. Lowering her eyes at the silence that overwhelmed the room, finally Mike spoke up. Voicing his objecting to killing the girl.

Mike: Can't we heal her and teleport her to...say...Las Vegas or LA with telepathic instructions to deliver a copy of our proof to the media? Wouldn't that both give her a fighting chance and maybe keep our HUMANITY intact?

Glancing over to Alison, Ava's eyes were lifted with a bit of hope.

"That's actually not a bad idea, Alison. I agree that we can't take her with us. It would slow us down AND be a death sentence for her. But if Morgan teleports her out of here....atleast ONE person gets out of this alive, AND we could expose these bastards for what they've done."

Raccoon City police department

<< Morgan looked on rather grimly as Alison prepped Cameron to ease the woman's passing. part of Morgan understood this course of action and she knew Alison didnt take any JOY in this, but part of her felt GUILTY. Something about it DID seem wrong. Blaze was the first to object, then Mike. Ava seemed to agree with Mike's suggestion.>>

<< Morgan couldnt help but think back to Jennifer on the roof. That wasnt a stranger, that was a friend, an innocent. She had been let down (however unintentionally) by them and now was a chance to sort of tip the scales? or at least allow them to do one meaningfull thing to help an innocent?>>

We failed Jennifer...but there's still a chance with this woman. Yes, let's help her...the way we couldnt help Jennifer. Alison, you're a witch like me. We can combine our magick to completely heal her...and then Cameron could find out from her mind a place that she knows...a safe place and I can send her there with a stepping disc. She'll be alive and she'll be safe...far away from here and she'll have the chance that Jennifer did not get.

<< she looked at her sister Blaze who nodded in agreement.>>

:: Cameron knew what he had to do and he was willing to listen to his sister. As the others objective he did indeed thought for a moment that it would be better to try and heal her but at this moment, it just wasn't logical. In times of war sometimes one has to sacrifice a bit of humanity. ::

"I will go with whatever majority thinks but we don't have much time. Our minds are already linked but SHE doesn't have much time and.. in fact she is already headed towards the light.. I need a decision.."

:: He couldn't wait much longer because Elise (the woman) was fading fast. Telepathically he could see her body, he could see her suffering, where she was hurt the most as he tried even more to sedate her but not enough to the point that it would kill her. ::

"My personal feeling is that eventually she is going to remember things. She may be safe for awhile but unless we want to personally counsel her on how to deal with the surge of memories she will later suffer through. I feel like it's a temporary fix. We aren't God but this woman is dying, and either way the woman who lived her life here in Raccoon City is DEAD already... Alley Cat.. what's the plan?"

Rpd

:: Alison's colbalt blue eyes shifted as Mike joined the protest. She jutted her jaw in annoyance as the man spoke. BUT Ava and Morgan seemed to agree with his idea and Alison thought for a moment. She knew she was asking Cameron to do something grave and ultimately scarring.::

:: sighing as she paused, she finally turned back to the others.::

Fine.

:: not that she had her HEART set on ending the woman's life, but she , like her brother, knew this would present complications for the woman LATER on. BUT that was a minor detail one that would pose more harm to Mystech than anything else.::

keep her sedated Cameron. Morgan, if you'll join me?

<< the witches join hands at the woman's side and with a few moments between them, they manage come up with a spell and ignite some of their stronger, more complex magick as they work to restore the woman from the group up. the woman is soon healed completely in her body while Cameron calms her mind and makes it so what she's experienced tonight is a memory she will not have to deal with for a while.>>

<< with a place meaningfull pulled from her mind by Cameron, Alison and Morgan give final preparations to the woman before Morgan sends her on her way via stepping disc.>>

and on they go

<< the men and women watched as the young woman was sent away...she would wake up inside a local hospital in the town where her parents lived....clear across the country. Her life would be forever changed but because there would be at least ONE survivor of Raccoon City, the seeds of Mystech's destruction were now firmly sewed.>>

<< now the group looked among themselves...somewhat hardened by what they had experienced tonight...for Mike and Delilah this was but a prelude to what they had expected to face ever since their time in the forest and train but never did they imagine it would be like THIS!?>>

<< after a few moments...zombies come BURSTING through doors and crashing through windows...but the group is GONE, courtesy of Morgan's stepping disc. the city continues to burn and run with blood and walking dead. attempts to contain it by law enforcement at the local have failed and amazingly...media coverage of this has been widely regarded as some special effects HOAX!>>

<< but now...the final and perhaps most deadly run of this escape from Raccoon City was upon them as they got out of the deadly chain reaction and now approached the SOURCE of the nightmare where deadly secrets, revelations and possibly tragic reunions would take place.>>

<< and so we watch>>
