Delilah watched Morgan as they walked down the pristine hallway with its magnificent view. How terrible it must be for her to have to give all of this up. It wasn’t Delilah’s cup of tea, but it was Morgan’s world, and she was good at it. It didn’t seem quite fair.
Delilah nodded, empathetic. She tried to sound upbeat, somewhat unconvincingly.
“There are other companies Morgan, in other towns.”
As they entered the conference room, she assumed the stiff aura of a bodyguard. In other circumstances, Morgan probably would have teased her about being in “Cop mode”. The sales presentation was boring, to say the least, but Delilah forced herself to pay attention, to try and discern any hint of something subpar going on at the company. But other than showing that they were a bunch of scumbags, there was no useful information.
Delilah sat up, though, when the doctors from Mystech began to speak. She returned Morgan’s glance. She felt an uncomfortable lump in her throat as one doctor explained what the product did: regenerate dead skin cells. Something wasn’t right about that. But she didn’t have much time to think about it before the presentation ended and Morgan leaned in to her.
Delilah stared at the video screen.
“Yeah, like you’re Madonna.”
She inclined her head back towards Morgan and winked.
The commercial starts, and they can see a cgi’d version of Morgan, old and wrinkled.
She was about to whisper, “I KNEW that’s what you really looked like in the morning.” when she saw Morgan’s face. Her real face. And it was pissed.
As the commercial ended Delilah was speechless. She swiveled her chair toward her friend, and waited for it.
Spellbinder said:Delilah, I want to get out of here...now more than ever. After this, I don't know if I even want to come BACK.
Delilah nodded, empathetic. She tried to sound upbeat, somewhat unconvincingly.

Spellbinder said:It's like waiting for the premier of a Madonna video, only she isn’t working for a company that apparently is evil incarnate.
