OOC Thread 5

no clue. i'm sure she's either waiting for lexi, heather, and brandon to post here, or she'll be back shortly.

a couple things to discuss

Sorry for the delay, i had to try to cover everything that had been brought to my attention in this post.

as for the current playing thread, I'm waiting for: Lexi (haleigh and zach), Brandon (erika, vivica and the twins), Heather and vilandra (if she can) to post.

Okay everyone, it's time for me to bring some issues to the table concerning "the Six."

first, let me begin by saying that we are doing MUCH better in this storyline than we were in the end of the last storyline. i was VERY happy (as were some of the players) with the way things went in the last storyline and I hope that the stunt that was pulled in the end of the last storyline will not be repeated again or i WILL remove the person(s) responsible for it.

now onto the issues:

it has been brought to my attention that one or more of you may have a problem with the current storyline. you may find it "confusing" because of the "twins" or other aspects.

i dont expect that everyone likes EVERYTHING in every aspect of the game but i DO expect that if you are that disatisfied with something that you would come to ME about it instead of talking/gossiping about it/other players. This kind of behavior is childish and only leads to breakdowns....remember what happened in MASTERS OF EVIL on Wb-D?

I am the mastrix of this game...if there is a problem, i need to know about it. this game is supposed to be BY and FOR US (and those may be reading along). there's nothing that should be so wrong that you cant come to ME about it. Ive told ALL of you that before.

the next thing: certain characters are becoming a little too "haughty" and INVULNERABLE. they are shrugging off EVERYTHING and finding a way out of EVERYTHING and its ruining the potential impact of various moments in any given playing thread. this is further compounded by characters who post and the players are clearly not reading the posts BEFORE their own and thus, the character is reacting as if they are ignoring one or more characters or situations. THIS was one of the MAIN REASONS why the "Terror Dome" thread broke down and was ruined and to be honest...Heather/Foxfire was one of the main culprits in that case. the fact that she WILLFULLY did it nearly caused me to boot her out of the game, but i decided not to at this time. However there were other instances such as when MorningStar used her powers to FREE Persephone from Haleigh's chains and yet two posts Later, Persephone freed herself. What was the point? there was clearly a lack of reading. Let's not forget PERSEPHONE'S post where she sacrificed herself to save the team from Malice's PSI Javeline and NO ONE reacted properly at all. i was VERY dissapointed by the performance of ALL the players (with the exception of MorningStar, who posted accordingly given her position at the time of the attack and Haleigh who was understandibly bitter toward Persephone due to Malice's posession of her)

ALSO, just because YOU the player may know or see that an enemy is perpetrating an illusion or facade to trick your character..doesnt mean YOUR CHARACTER has the ability to IMMEDIATELY perceive that. Even GUARDIAN, a PRECOG, has been duped and out maneuvered in various storylines and you dont see HER trying to wreck a playing thread to compensate for it. It's EXPECTED that your character takes their hits and their lumps and that includes getting DUPED if the illusion is sound. nobody here is invincible. Some characters (because of the players) may use their powers better than others but NO ONE is exempt from getting their ass kicked if the beating is handed out soundly.

Next: some characters are being IGNORED..mainly Delilah. The character has POWER and her background is one that was carefully planned out. She's an excellent addition to the team and yet during the Terror Dome thread (and in this current storyline) she is LARGELY being ignored. Delilah IS part of this team and she's NOT a weak character. Furthermore, Vilandra is an excellent rp'er. I've been working with her since the days of the ORIGINAL ADA. You guys need to REMEMBER the fact that she's apart of this game and brings something to the team.

YOU ALL NEED TO START READING EACH OTHER'S POSTS, AS WELL AS ORACLE'S. You may have to REFRESH just to make sure you're not posting on top of someone if we are in the middle of one of our heavy playing sessions. but some of you need to improve..flat out. you're missing important moments that REQUIRE responses in your post and its happening TOO MUCH and/or you're ignoring the moves/actions of other characters and situations. You also need to LABEL your posts. I've asked you this before.

The next thing is something that i feel we've ALL been guilty of at some point or another and its been happening MORE lately with the arrival of Rampage.

as i mentioned a moment ago...nobody in the Six is INVINCIBLE. Whether the character is a witch, metahuman, mutant or goddess....no matter what array of powers and abilities the character has...there is and WILL be a weakness. Further more..not every attack or situation visited upon a character can EASILY be dealt with. THAT was what i was trying to show Garrick when i had Malice and the Dire Wraiths give his character such a hard time. He came into the game a little TOO STRONG and it was because he saw how we all played our characters. I don't do things in this rpg the way people on other boards do because the people I work with in this game are people who i have worked with for years now and i KNOW you are all good. Even though Garrick is our new comer, he's not without experience either. He just had to adjust to THIS particular setting.

He's doing a good job for the most part but there's areas that he (and the rest of us) need to tighten up on to keep this game AUTHENTIC and FUN.

there's no fun, no RISK for the characters of everyone can do EVERYTHING. We have too many teleporters on the team. from this momen on...SPELLBINDER is the team teleporter. Others such as Guardian, Rampage, MorningStar and BlackWidow may have PERSONAL "Movement" power and they may take ONE OTHER person WITH them...but when it comes to MASS TRANSIT...that is Morgan's department..its the basic component of her power. if there's a situation where a team teleporter is needed and Spellbinder is not there or is incapacitated, then the ONLY option for TEAM transport will be MorningStar's wormhole. if SHE is unavailable then the characters will have to do the best with what they've got and THIS is something (among other issues) that will keep the game more realistic. We do not need a team full of long distance /mass teleporters. it makes no sense.

each character has their OWN set of powers. SOME may resemble one another (Guardian and Rampage= telekinesis; Spellbinder and Persephone= wind power; Spellbinder, Rampage, BlackWidow= super strength) BUT it's YOUR duty to make sure that your characters powers dont OUTRIGHT mimick someone else's power on the team. Just because Guardian can "blow things up" with her molecular accleration doesnt mean that Rampage can some how achieve that same feat....their powers are not the same. Just because Spellbinder can lift/press 75 tons and Rampage can lift/press 100 tons doesnt mean that they will ALWAYS be able to use physical force to win a situation...one character is male, the other is female and their natures, how they do things are totally different. this needs to be SHOWN in the playing threads. Some characters ARE "more powerfull" by definition than other co characters, but that doesnt mean anything BAD. that's just how it is. how EFFECTIVE your character is with what he/she has depends on how well YOU play them.

ALSO if (for example) MorningStar BLASTS Black Widow with a photon OR laser blast...keep in mind that one advantage that MorningStar has over other characters is that HER powers activate/manifest at LIGHT SPEED. there's not many ways to get around that unless [just ONE example] you control time and are a precog (like Guardian) BlackWidow is not going to be able to simple WAVE OFF that kind of an attack. Even if she manages to get a shield up...there's still the brunt force of the attack. a focused pressor beam of photons can DESTROY A MOUNTAIN if unleashed at that level.

If Black Widow (class 10 superstrength) HITS someone (Blaze for example) who does NOT have superstrength and does not have powers geared to protect them against that OR the physical constitution then they are GOING to sustain severe damage (bruising, broken bones or worse depending the on the attack).

Characters have their sets of powers but some players have begun using ONE particular aspect of their powers TOO MUCH. they become a crutch. being telekinetic can't get you out of EVERY jam, especially if you are ensorcelled by a SPELL, blinded and dazzled by a strobe blast, slammed by enough physical force to disorient you etc. EVERY set of powers has its draw backs and relying on ONE POWER ALL THE TIME gets TIRED and BORING. people get TIRED of reading the same routine over and over and again... if your character is (for example) a mutant..and their powers focus on the manipulation of some kind of energy...that does NOT meant that you gain a host of "secondary" powers and suddenly gain the ability to fly/teleport etc etc. if you think you have a power idea for your character, then PM me so we can talk about it. Ive allowed players to spruce up their power descriptions several times since this game began. I'm flexible and i think most of you know that.

When a character is attacked by another character, a foe, or the victim of a situation...make sure that you take your hits and your lumps. some set ups are just too thorough or too clever to ignore and even though YOU may figure out a solution..its okay if the CHARACETER has to suffer for a post or two. we're not here to out do each other. we're here to have fun and weave one fantastic on going story.

The bottom line is this...play your characters within COMMON SENSE LIMITS or will have to impose a set of rules and i really dont want to do that.

the last issue: for those of you who are playing mutiple characters, if YOUR character(s) are more the focus of any particular storyline...YOU need to do your best to stay up on the playing thread and be able to post as much as you can. granted there's no pressure or deadline for us to meet since its OUR game and we arent doing a coven vs. coven thing...it's just consideration for other players. if you are unable to post for several DAYS due to whatever..please let ME know or post in the OOC thread about it. Most of you have been really good about that but i just wanted to bring it up once more.

please feel free to respond to this post and give your feed back, questions or concerns. we're here to dialogue so the game can continue to be fun for us all.

Well firstly i'd like to apologize for any times that someone has done something directly to my character and I didn't acknowledge it or respond to it accordingly. Sometimes I just quickly skim through posts and obviously miss vital information. So i'll make sure from now on to read more thoroughly. :)

Secondly, there have been cases where I've seen posts that seem either unfair or like that character can't be touched regardless of what another character tries to do. I understand that some character's are either slightly more powerful than others, and/or the RPer's themselves are more advanced when it comes to battle RPG, but i've always been taught (as a RP) to take hits. You take them and you dish them out. Plain and simple. If there's a logical way to get out of the attack, then yes, obviously you can avoid it. But in some cases in the past, certain characters will either constantly avoid attacks aimed toward them, or actually take the hit of the attack, but minimize the actual damage it could do to their character. Now yes, everyone's guilty of that, including myself every once in a while. But some people do it constantly which is extremely discouraging. It's like, why bother?

Hmm...I was going to comment on something else, but my head is killing me and it honestly slipped my mind. LOL. So if I remember i'll post it here. :)

But aside from those two things (and the one that slipped my mind...), I still enjoy RPing with everyone! It's such a joy to escape reality and just come on the boards and do crazy shit with ya'll. So I really hope we can work through whatever issues we have, and continue forth with this game. :)

I have to say that I agree with a lot of what Farrah is saying here. I personally feel like some parts of the RPG are on their way to getting out of hand if there aren't some boundaries put in place. Characters are having too many (often unrelated) powers apiece, and getting out of things too quickly. I just think it's making the stories less fun. Especially if someone takes the time to come up with something really cool for a story or a really interesting move and then it's just brushed aside in one post. (And it's not one character, it's all of us doing this.)

There have been times in the past few storylines where it's made me not even want to post or give up on the RPG altogether cause it feels like, What's the point?

PS My friend is visiting from Ireland, so I might not be on this week as much at night time but should be able to get on during the afternoons (internet connection permitting lol)

:)

I definitely understand what Farrah is saying. I think that it has become a bit of an arms race as far as invulnerability is concerned. I can say that I have been sucked into it myself pimarily because I am seeing too many situations where a character is simply getting out of the way of another's attack, or where someone sets up an attack and is so proud of what they thought up that they also write the FULL RESULT. Another situation I have seen is when you do something as simple as hit and the other player say something like "the person TRIES to hit but it doesn't work...". That is frustrating and inevitably leads to the layer saying, "If they can do it, so can I."
Lastly, I can say with my own character is that I wonder if anyone has actually READ his bio. I have discarded his increased invulnerability in practice (no one seems to be listening anyway) and his TK and telepathy, while at Omega-Class level, seems to be dismissed as parlor tricks.

"Omega class" is like the TOP level of any type of power. its a term coined by Marvel mostly. I used it when describing Malice, who at the time was the ONLY omega class telepath in the game until Rampage came. Not even Cameron was THAT strong of a telepath but he definately was more fluent with his psi powers where as rampage seems to rely more on his TK.

Blaze has an Omega class healing factor...the result of the experimentation on her by mystech involving the Techno Organic Virus.

to address some of garrick's comments, dont forget, that ORACLE may set up some situations that NO ONE can get out of ...this is for the express purpose of effect/outcome of the story and it can happen to EVERYONE. also some characters may proove to be WEAKER or VULNERABLE to something than others...for example, Blaze was more vulnerable to Malice and the Wraiths definately took Rampage to task.

but in OTHER instances...Morgan and Alison were religated to "support" players during the A.I.M/NERVOUS storyline because their magicks were not effective against the heavy technology and so it was up to Haleigh, Cameron, Delilah and Alexis.

i would like to address one thing now: the comment about this being "the morgan and alison show" was extremely inappropriate. for one thing..in the last storyline, Morgan spent most of HER time in a regressed state of mind and only had a few appearences until near climax. the last storyline was supposed to be EVERYONE struggling to fight and survive against Malice and the Wraiths. the END of the storyline featured Morgan and Alison wrecking havok but for an OBVIOUS reason.

in THIS storyline..we have a mixture of things going on and Morgan is a supporting character and ALISON as you see has a minimal role right now. Guardian does her job well so she cant be faulted for that.

as for what garrick mentions about someone "writing out someone ELSE'S response." i have said BEFORE that is not something that i want to see. Now if Oracle is narrorating and a character goes down for the count or becomes immobilized in a way that cant be disupted, then it is what it is.

some examples to keep in mind: if a person does a psychic attack against someone with a PSI SCREEN...its not going to do anything. the exception is an EMPATHIC or a TELEKINETIC attack and even with Telekinesis, i don't want to see a character's every move as one big telekinetic flex.

if a magick user of sufficient power casts a spell then the spell's effect MUST be felt UNLESS the person the spell is cast against has the specific ability to WARP a spell.

if you are blinded by a strobe light blast, if you are rendered mute or physically incapacitated in some way..you cannot just keep fighting as if nothing HAPPENED you MUST respond accordingly. if your character can COMPENSATE for blindness etc via telepathy , precognition etc thats fine but you STILL have to deal with the attack sent against you.

some characters may have the ability TO dodge certain types of attacks or deflect/ redirect them (via telepblinking, stepping disc, "light speed reflexes", sheilds etc) and thats fine but you're STILL not going to be able to avoid EVERYTHING.

several charaters have been maimed, or killed through the course of this game...that should be a reminder to everyone.

(Edit: this is reacting to Rampage's post :))

But to put in my two cents...it really shouldn't matter all that much whether someone's read the bio or not, because the characters should base their interactions with a character on what their characters have learned in the RPG. If I put in my bio, for example, that I'm evil, but your character meets mine and I'm nice to you, you shouldn't react to me like I'm evil, because your character doesn't know that.

As for power strength - I think it's assumed that each character is strong in their powers, but that doesn't mean (just taking Nicolas' telepathy as an example, and I don't mean that you have actually done this) they should be all knowing, or a character whose power has nothing to do with hearing suddenly comes up with super hearing to hear a whispered conversation 100 yards away. There need to be some things that stay secret / some vulnerabilities in the game or it's too predictable and no fun imo.

:)

well, lol, i dont have much to add here in the way of discussion. I agree with pretty much everything that been said.

I know we are probably ALL guilty of overlooking things every now and then, in the heat of a heavy session we post over each other and speed read, and i know i've forgotten to DO something occaisionally and had to edit it in.

and as far as that issue AND invulnerability goes, I think if we all acknowledge it as rather annoying to be on the receiving end of and TRY
to work on keeping ourselves from commiting the 'sin', we should do okay. I've always hated fighting an invincible opponent because like yall said, it seemed pointless and NO FUN.

I agree with everything that has been said but I think sometimes it is a little hard to understand the scope of some people's powers. Garrick take it from me for someone who has RPed as a Telepath for almost three years as Brenthon and now as Cameron, Telepathy is strong but when you are going against someone who has a PSI Screen it is pointless. I had that problem in the beginning. I felt like I just couldn't touch people like Morgan and Alison, but it's not like that.. Garrick you are a TELEPATH, you can read the minds and thoughts of others, you can possess them, mentally sedate them, render them unconscious, constructs shields of psychic energy, force beams that can paralyze and even kill due to mental pain.. These are strong things.. There are only a FEW in the world who have PSI Screens, and you just happen to RPing with two of them lol.. It is tough.. I mean if you want any help or pointers just lemme know.. Not trying to say I am better at RPing a telepath than you but I am just offering friendly advice.

Secondly, this is NOT the Morgan and Alison Show so whoever is saying it really just needs to shut up. If you want your character noticed than do something about it. Everyone has their weaknesses.. For Instance.. Morgan Victoria is deadly afraid of snakes and vulnerable to empathic attacks.. Alison is vulnerable to empathic attacks as well. If Alison is unable to see in her mind's eye an opponent she is just as vulnerable as the rest of us.. All of the CHARACTERS have weaknesses.
I mean come on! Give your character depth, you make your character and if you feel like you are getting noticed enough then that really is nobody's fault but your own...

I will probbly take you up on the pointers, but to remind EVERYONE about the use of Nicolas telepathy....
He was introduced in an arc where the opponent was also an Omega class telepath with 20 years experience on him and no compunctions about killing anyone he attempted to wrest from her control.
The next arc was dominated by magic users, all of whom seemed to have the damn psi screen (is it REALLY that universal? GEEZ!!). In that arc, even his Class 100 strength was trumped because it was aginst a mage who PHYSICALLY dominated him using magic (just venting a bit, but I worked it out).
So I expect to use his mind powers a lot more in the future (but not on Erika, who apparently was issued said psi screen as soon as she cast her first incantation, lol).
I also undrstand the idea of working within the RPG as Vil said but my frustration is in certain obvious situations. If Morgan, Haleigh, or Nicolas hits you PHYSICALLY, you better have a DAMN good reason why you're still standing. If you haven't PERUSED the bios, you think a tall black guy hit you, not Hercules. Conversely, you would also realize that harming him is also hard to do in a PURELY physical sense (such as a simple slap or a punch, unless by Morgan, Haleigh, Blaze?). It doesn't make him impossible to beat, but he represents a different challenge, just as psi-screened individuals and the use of magic to get around physical advantages is a situation I have to deal with.
Lastly, Farrah, does this new teleportation rule mean Nicolas cannot Castle anymore in battle (switch combatant teams by teleportation)? He has done it twice so far...

to be fair, Malice was introduced BEFORE Nicolas ever joined the game. Her purpose was clear, no one could know what kind of character you were coming up with until after he was introduced. its not that people expected you to CHANGE your character, but it was kind of obvious that Malice had Nicolas beat across the board.

The next arc was dominated by magic users, all of whom seemed to have the damn psi screen (is it REALLY that universal? GEEZ!!).

from what i've seen in Marvel (which is heavily reference in this game) it IS pretty much like that with magick users. the powerfull ones anyway. as well as technological based characters.

In that arc, even his Class 100 strength was trumped because it was aginst a mage who PHYSICALLY dominated him using magic (just venting a bit, but I worked it out).

creatures from another area of the galaxy who were like 12 feet tall and had killed Darkchilde's whole coven? what did you THINK was going to happen?

So I expect to use his mind powers a lot more in the future (but not on Erika, who apparently was issued said psi screen as soon as she cast her first incantation, lol).

so she (and others) have psi screens, there are OTHER ways to attack them. For example, Erika isnt nearly as physically strong as Alison (and i've only used her TK to augment her physical blows a FEW times in all of these storylines...just to point out ). she's also not as fast. She may be Alison's sister...but she doesnt have Alison's powers.

I also undrstand the idea of working within the RPG as Vil said but my frustration is in certain obvious situations. If Morgan, Haleigh, or Nicolas hits you PHYSICALLY, you better have a DAMN good reason why you're still standing.

It's like Sam & Spell said, you take your hits and dish them out when you get the opportunity. We ALL have to do that. there've been plenty of

exactly. everybody here has a character with unique advantage points. sometimes we all should go back and re/reread bios but we all have characters with weaknesses too. I could see Nicolas taking a few "molecular acceleration" attacks from Guardian [depending on how fierce a level she uses] because of his own unique PHYSICAL structure, which is outlined in the bio but that doesnt mean he could last FOREVER. Just as Guardian being a precog hasnt always saved her or the Six from disaster.

Rampage said:
Lastly, Farrah, does this new teleportation rule mean Nicolas cannot Castle anymore in battle (switch combatant teams by teleportation)? He has done it twice so far...

that move is similar to what Guardian has done with her teleblinking power. if you LIMIT it to use during battles ONLY , you can keep it but just remember that Alison has a power similar in effect and she uses hers in a more precise way.

this is my point...we dont need every character being able to do the same thing as the next.

Morgan is supposed to be the TEAM teleporter and we have a back up in MorningStar but if BOTH of them are down...its going to make any kind of "escape" situation more dire and thats what makes the game more fun...the characters having to COME UP with solutions (witness the battle of Master Mold or the Super Soldier )

Just to try to be clear. iwasn't complaining that Nicolas telepathy was useless, I was explaining why he used it to so little effect so far. It was obvious, Guardian, that Malice had him if by nothing else, then experience. he goty about one or two decent licks in out of all their encounters. I I get that, I am just saying that doesn't mean that Ia m not aware f how to use a telepath, i simply have had little REAL opportunity.
Also, your height does not necessarily confer THAT level of physical strength. It just means you are very big. In fact, Goliath can reach a much larger size but lacks that level of strength. I took the feat as a product of magic exercised upon Nicolas.

Everyone brings up valid points to this game. I haven't been on the top of my game for a while due to some very stressful and personal issues that I'm still reeling from. Which when I become stressed I lashed out on others, I admit it. It showed in OOC and IC and I apologize for that. I should have posted when I had the full potential to reply with a coherent - realistic post. I've been better in that regard instead of trying to juggle various things.

I apologize to the players and especially to Farrah for my behavior and the way I conducted Foxfire. I was not trying to purposely steal the limelight from Spell and Guardian. However, how many times can we see Morgan lose control or Alison attack her family? Personally, I would like to see Delilah let lose, she's a character that could turn heads. I mean granted Morgan and Alison are awesome characters and powerful but we've witnessed them "behaving badly" back on the yacht. I think Delilah gets overlooked, but she's a character I like and I'm curious to learn more about.

I too get overly irritated to see certain characters "copying" other players powers or powers they do NOT possess. That really gets my blood going and I lose interest playing or I delay in playing for lack of desire. I've read bio's and certain players have a tendency of adding physical powers. I myself made the mistake of that back when Morgan was grabbed by MM. I learned my lesson and I stirred clear of that.

This storyline is very confusing to be honest. Things don't make sense and it seems slightly unrealistic in parts. However, once Brandon PMed me about small spoilers it made sense and I liked the twist of what's coming.

Overall I agree with what everyone has said. I'll definitely read posts and post accordingly. I'm hoping to take this as a template for my own learning experiences of what not to do.

Just to clarify an eariler point - I did not mean that I hadn't read the bios, or that people shouldn't read them, just that they shouldn't be the end all be all of your character.

:)

The Bottom Line

IM about to say somethings that some people may not like and if you have a big problem, feel FREE to withdraw from the game.

-this storyline is DANGEROUSLY close to being cancelled for the following reasons.

1) Erika and the Twins...are just NOT going over well with other players NOR the readers. Some ideas sound good and are always worth a try but sometimes theory doesnt translate into successfull execution. Brandon, we have TOO MANY women in this game. We need MORE MEN and I need you to play a male character. Normally I don't go this route, but I'm doing it now because the game is getting DISORGANIZED at this point.

to that end, Erika's involvement in the storyline will be WRAPPED UP soon and the rest of the storyline will be abbreviated as well.

2) AGAIN, people are not realizing the fact that ORIGINALITY is important. We had Persephone, a centuries old character who has lived in TWO timelines and heralds from greek antiquity, speaking Greek and suddenly EVERYONE ELSE can speak it too? I DONT THINK SO. Haleigh i can understand given her family ties and it would even be logical or reasonable for NICOLAS to be able to speak the language simply because its been shown that a telepath can instantly translate and learn foreign languages with their psi powers but even HE didnt do that.

EVERY CHARACTER cant DO EVERYTHING EVERY ONE ELSE DOES. PERIOD.

3) AGAIN, people are NOT following directions. Sometimes, a person may want to put a specific scene into a storyline to develope their character and so When i specifically state that my (or someone else's) character is about to do something, that does NOT MEAN that someone ELSE comes along and just jumps the gun and posts ahead. That ruins what OTHER people are trying to do. We NEVER had this many problems in a storyline until the ending of the LAST ONE and now in this one. If any player here is having "personal problems" or whatever else and it is going to effect how you play a GAME then you dont need to be involved until you get your issues resolved.

The game isnt going anywhere...but if players dont start acting like they know what they are doing...i can ASSURE you that some PLAYERS WILL BE "going" right out of this game.

I'm getting TIRED of saying the same thing OVER AND OVER again.

EVERYONE needs to start playing your characters AS THEY ARE WRITTEN in the bios YOU made. This means you do not ADD powers to a character during a playing thread as you see fit.

FOR EXAMPLE: if you are a fire manipulating mutant...this does NOT give you the right to turn into a dragon or become a lycanthropic shapeshifting vampire.

Furthermore, if characaters have similar powers by coincidence, the character who is MOST associated with that power gets PREFERENCE when it comes to who should be using "similar powers".

For example: If Morgan and Persephone are fighting someone and Persephone unleashes a wind attack then it makes NO DAMN SENSE for Morgan to follow up with the same thing as Persephone's power is OVER THE WEATHER and Morgan GENERALLY uses her wind power to FLY, and will sometimes use her winds to SURPRISE her foe if it is a strategic move but that is a rare thing.

Guardian has "teleblinking" and Nicolas has "castleling"...the powers are very similar in their effect but since Guardian's teleblinking is one of the hallmarks of her character...i expect that Nicolas will not make it a HABIT to be "castleling" everyone and everything everywhere.

Every character has their own set of powers...and some of you need to STOP trying to copy off of other people. If you didnt have "glamoring" before...then you dont have it now. if you arent a precog then you ARENT one now. its THAT simple.

i've TRIED to be laid back about how i handle things here...and i shouldnt even have to say these things THIS many times given who im playing with in this game but some of y'all are pissing me off...FLAT OUT.

we NEVER had to have this many "OOC" moments in the year and a half that we've been doing this game and all of a sudden people are acting like they are in REMEDIAL RP or something its ridiculous.

the bottom line is this:

This storyline is FLOUNDERING because one person responsible for multiple characters is not keeping up (for whatever reason) and its become too difficult to try to integrate the two sides of the story so things are about to be abbreviated. All those who want to stay in, GREAT. Those who dont, well you know what to do.

its time this game got BACK into shape.

You know, I really do have to agree with the points Farrah has made. I've been RPing with everyone here for years. Some people since the original ADA which is a pretty damn long time. We are all creative people, we all know how to build character's that are our own and have our own flare. But seriously, it's getting to the point where I come to the six and post something as Persephone (or even Alexis back when she was around) that I either want to make unique to my character, or that is already unique to my character, and later on down the line another character suddenly does the same exact thing. Perfect example was the language thing. I had Ava speaking a different language on the phone to to show that she's versitile in other languages just as Persephone is. And suddenly Blaze can speak another language too? Okay granted, i'm not saying since Persephone/Ava can speak other languages, other character's can't, but it just frustrating when i'm trying to make a point that being able to speak multiple languages fluently is not common amoung American's and suddenly everyone and their mom can do it.

Yes, this is only a game. And it's only online, blah blah blah. But after work/school, or even after a really crappy day, I enjoy coming to the game and getting lost in the fantasy of it all. It's enjoyable to sit back and read the on going storylines and contriubte to them. I love it otherwise I wouldn't still be here. But when all this bullshit drama starts that is completely unnecessary, that's when I debate why even come to post here in the six at all? I have enough bullshit in my real life, I just want to enjoy myself here.
