Armani tried a counterattack, and Mike wanted to laugh. His knee was well-placed..for such a pussy. Mike was prepared to blast his ass when Haleigh ushered him out quickly, his wolves in tow. He was mildly insulted, but no harm, no foul. These crazy people could bang whoever they wanted...but Zach was due to get hurt...BAD. He was walking back towards his apartment when Morgan approached him, pointing to his wolves and asking what he was doing, then to the apartment and asked what was going on.

You have YOUR pets sorceress, I have mine. Primarily large...dogs and very loyal. As for in there, Haleigh had an old pet roll back in. Needless to say, he makes VERY bad assumptions, has a smart mouth and we do not get along. Keep you healing handy because I am going to shoot him. SOON.

As Mike finished, all of them could hear Haleigh yell for Zach to get out, followed by his immediate exit. Mike had about ten million evil thoughts that dissipated as Haleigh admonished them to let him go. He had three words as he watched him exit.

Too bad, "playah".

MP -- Apt 5

He had one last smart thing to say, and the spite in his voice was enough to let Haleigh know he was hurt and angry to. She didn't care. Maybe he hadn't heard her before when she told him to leave. ;)

"GET OUT!"

The tv behind exploded, strictly for dramatic purposes… and she mentally turned the doorknob to the front door and flung it open. If he was even REMOTELY smart… he'd realize the game was up… and he did. Shaking his head angrily and storming out, Haleigh slowly followed him to the threshold, folding her arms across her chest and leaning against the doorway. The courtyard wasn't exactly empty. Mike, Morgan, and Delilah were there, looking like they'd just witnessed a bear attack a park ranger, and maybe if they just stood still enough and stared, with their mouths agape like that, the angry bear would just lumber away and leave them alone.

Oh fucking well.

She thought. It wasn't like EVERYONE didn’t probably ALREADY know Zach was here. After all… both Mike, Sharon, and probably Nicolas had seen him come in, and it wasn't likely that Alison had forgotten to take her 'know it all, share it all' pill this morning. Mike looked like he'd been given the go ahead to attack, but Haleigh shook her head, discouraging him.

"Just Let him GO."

She said, mostly to Mike, but open enough to apply to anyone who might be considering any kind of retaliation. She may not be Zach's biggest fan right now… but she didn't feel up to dealing with a fight. Mike still offered Zach a few parting words. Haleigh grimly rolled her eyes and turned back inside, the door slamming behind her. She didn't want to talk about it, least of ALL to Morgan…. And it really wasn't anyone's business ANYWAY, though she didn't doubt that everyone would form their own opinions.

Exiting her bedroom with her cell phone held up to her ear, Claudia made her way down the hallway and into the spacious kitchen overlooking the livingroom.

"The Roosevelt? [pausing] Okay, good. Be discreet about it and call me when he arrives."

Lowering the phone from her ear, Claudia ended the call and placed the PDA on the kitchen counter. Turning to the refridgerator, she opened it and withdrew a container of iced tea. Grabbing a mug from the closest cabinet, Claudia poured herself a drink before placing the iced tea back into the fridge. Taking a small sip, Claws glanced over at the clock....it was only a matter of time. Her plans were already in motion and all she had to do was wait. Putting her best men on the job, she knew that if anyone were going to follow Zach Armani, they'd have to be extremely good and extremely stealthy. Being involved with Haleigh Davidoff for as long as Zach was, he most likely picked up a few tricks and some knowledge about how to spot someone who was tailing him. However one of her men, Armando, never got caught. He never had a slip up....but that might have been because Armando had the ability to become invisible. ;) Those little things always helped the Zacchara's get ahead in their buisness. And remain untouched for so long.

Hearing the faintest sound shouting coming from outside, Claudia distinctively heard 'get out' while the rest was muffled. Her brows furrowed with curiousity as she made her way into the livingroom and over to one of her windows. Holding her mug with both hands, Claudia peered through the slats of her vertical blinds spotting Zach being thrown out of Haleigh's apartment. Amused, she watched as he stormed out of the courtyard. Stepping away from her window, Claudia smiled triumphantly.

"You just made this so much easier...."

Almost immediately, Claudia's cell phone began to ring. Walking back over to the kitchen, she put her mug down and picked up the phone.

"Yes? [smirking] I know, I just saw him leave. Keep track of him. I'm headed to the Roosevelt now."

Hanging up the phone, Claudia grabbed her black clutch purse and tossed the cell inside as she headed for her front door. Shutting the lights off as she exited her apartment, she locked the door and started down the stairs to the main level of the courtyard. Wearing a black silk ruffled top with dark wash skinny jeans and a pair of red peep toe pumps, Claudia's long ebony hair was loosely curled [avatar picture] and makeup subtle yet smokey. A few of the residents were outside in the courtyard, including Haleigh. Claudia passed them, giving Morgan a curtious nod before she disappeared through the gates and out of Melrose Place.

<< Morgan looked at Mike with a "oh no you didnt" glint in her eye as he seemed to get smart with her. She was about to tell him about himself when suddenly Haleigh's apartment door opened after they all heard Haleigh shouting "Get out!".>>

...

<< Zach came out, rather hurridly. Morgan looked at him for a moment. He certainly kept up nicely since the Silver Swan caper which was the last time SHE'D seen him. He was visibly pissed. And from the look of his clothes and face, he too had been in a fight. The situation with Mike.>>

<< He walked past Delilah, Mike and herself and as she turned to look at Haleigh, the hybrid slammed the door.>>

Well, when you do bad...bad comes back to you.

<< Morgan said callously. Referring to What Haleigh had done to HER and now she was in emotional distress herself.>>

<< she then looks at Mike >>

and as for you? First of all, MY pets are small and relatively harmless. They don't pose physical danger to everyone in this building, much less any passer by on the street or a delivery person or any one ELSE that might have business here. THose arent "large dogs"...they are miniature HORSES at best!

<< rolling her eyes. Claudia suddenly emerged from her apartment, everyone momentarily looked at her as she made her way down the steps, nodding to Morgan. Morgan nodded back, watching her a few more moments before she left through the gates and out onto the street.>>

<< back to Mike.>>

I told you before i want those things kept under a close watch. That doesnt include using them as part of your macho displays and dog fights with other people's partners. If they hurt an innocent, or a human or anyone else that doesnt warrant their attack....I'm REMOVING them myself. Is that CLEAR?

<< she abruptly takes her leaves , taking Delilah with her. as the walk past the pool, toward the stairs Claudia had just descended. Up to apartment 8 where Blaze and Alison would most likely be. Morgan knocked, waiting along side Delilah.>>

Well...I can see there will HARDLY be a dull moment around here.

Mike smiled as Morgan took her piece of flesh. His time with Karen had made him FAR too thick-skinned for this to bother him much. He nodded at her as she spoke. As she walked briskly up the stairs, he answered her, his voice quite happy as he returned to his own apartment.

Don't worry Morgan, these...HORSES have a better track record than anything here at Melrose Place, animal OR human. Trust me, you have bigger things to worry about I'm sure. I'll take care of these two. Take care, ladies.

Mike took his leave, closing the door behind him, still smiling. After a good evening with the doctor, his humor had returned in full force, even after his dance with Zachary. In fact, thinking of her gave him an idea. It was EARLY morning there, but Karen was more of a "morning person" since they had started their relationship...in fact...a visit could be FUN.

I'll get the wolves settled, grab a shower, and decide whether I am up for another visit...though right now that is sounding better and better.

[ Nicolas knew better than others how much the Silver Swan deteseted close personal contact. It was part of some of the fundamental changes to the woman that is Sharon Kelly. However, despite the many mistakes he made, he always seemed to know just how to reach out to Sharon without upsetting her (too much :D ). Their history transcended everything else that had happened.]

[ he spoke from the heart, and touched that part of Sharon that remained in tact despite the shocking changes that turned her into the Silver Swan. That maternal instinct. Those memories of Gustav.]

Gustav...he came to me at a time in my life when i was empty inside. My husband Robert and my son Kyle were lost. All I had left was Alycia and my career but I was on auto pilot. Gustav helped me to LIVE again!

[ Sharon took her refreshed glass of wine.]

I remember meeting you. What a handsome, bright young boy you were. That first night...I cried in Gustav's arms because I couldnt help but go back to Kyle. It was that night when i finally told him of my horrible ordeal at Arklay Mansion, but i made him PROMISE not to tell anyone else. Only he and Alycia knew all the details.

Time passed, and Gustav and I grew closer. He took me at my best AND my worst...and treated me like the rarest flower. I either forgot what that was like or wasn't used to it...but he was good to me. And I always enjoyed you. I remembered thinking how much fun Kyle would have had if he had you as a playmate, a friend...or even a step brother.

[ She looks at Nicolas.]

He'd be about your age now... just a little older. If he was still alive...and had never been touched by James Marcus. He was a mutant. Diana said so. But I never found out what gifts he would have.

[ Nicolas revealed that he could understand how Sharon must have felt and that his Father Gustav would have understood as well. Sharon believed Nicolas when he told her that Gustav still loved her. She still loved him too. She could never forget him and although Nicolas didnt always do things she would approve of, She still cared for him too.]

Nicolas.

[ She allowed her own armour covered hand to reach up to his...and as she did, she used the skill and technique taught her by the Amazons to mentally manipulate the armour which was apart of her physical being. the armour flows and pulls back. No longer is she wearing her "Silver Swan" garb, but instead she's wearing a silver tank and a short skirt revealing her well toned feminine form. her own natural hand touches his.]

Whatever happens Nicolas...I still care about you too. i'm not sure how I became lucky enough You and your Father, Gustav to come into my life at just the right time. I know it wasn't to "replace" Robert and Kyle...but to help me truly LIVE again.

[ Sharon enjoyed her dinner and her talk with Nicolas. She saw more of the young man she remembered and LESS the "mark of the beast" from Set. But even as she spoke to him, her hearing allowed her to hear what was going on OUTSIDE. Haleigh, Zach, Morgan and Mike. ]

Apartment 8

While all the drama seemed to be radiating outside, Blaze's apartment was drama free. She didn't have any enemies on this world, she didn't have her ex-boyfriend knocking on her door, and she didn't break up a relationship. It was pretty calm and collected for her. About the only drama she did have was the car accident.

Even for a fire elemental, Blaze was calm and collected. Usually more so the level-headed one on the teammate. Although even she had been known to blow a fuse under times of stress.

Unknown to Blaze she would be receiving company in the form of Alison. The Seer would blink right next to the couch causing Blaze to jump.

"Jesus Alison! Are you TRYING to put me in the hospital in the form of a heart attack!"

Touching her beating heart Blaze was only jesting though as she smirked over to her. "Its good to see you around though."

Her doorbell would ring as Blaze stood up, "See most people use the doorbell. A traditional means of greeting someone."

Chuckling, she walked over to open her door to see Morgan and Delilah. Flashing both a bright smile.

"Hey guys, come in."

Standing aside she glanced out of her apartment door, "What was all that ruckus outside about?" She was referring to Haleigh and Zach mostly.

Shutting the door she moved to sit down. "Can I get you guys anything to eat or drink?"

Roosevelt Hotel -- The Tropicana

If Mike thought he was 'cool', it was completely lost on Zach, who had more IMPORTANT things to deal with that playing 'king of the sandbox' with a haughty, smug chump. If Haleigh wanted to associate with such an ignorant CLOWN, that was HER problem… but luckily for Zach… he didn't HAVE to put up with Meathead Mike. He could simply walk away-- and that's precisely what he did.

Out on Melrose Avenue…. Zach scowled as he pulled out his iPhone, checking the distance from here to the hotel. It was only 2 miles or so…. Not worth bothering to call a taxi. He liked walking anyway… he missed walking the dogs [Haleigh's].

He couldn't figure out what had gone so catastrophically wrong…. They were doing fine, GOOD even… and she HAD kissed him back, that was something he couldn't be mistaken about. But Haleigh had gone off like an accidental firearm discharge, and Zach had been the one who got shot… and he REALLY didn't like the feeling.

He kept a swift pace, propelled by frustration. He reached the Roosevelt in a little under a half hour… but as he entered the hotel…. He saw a sign advertising the historic Tropicana… he remembered walking by it earlier, and decided that after his CRASH AND BURN at Haleigh's…. Maybe putting out the flames with a drink would be a good idea.

Once under the glow of the neon lights of the Tropicana lounge, Zach bee-lined for the bar and took a seat.

Barkeep: "What can I get you?"

[gruffly] "Jack, on the rocks. Please."

Barkeep: "That bad, huh?"

Zach looked up at him, not seeing the need for so much conversation.

[surly] "Yeah."

<< she shrieked as she sat up with this alarming thought.>>

Already situated at the Tropicana Lounge bar, Claudia kept her back to the door and cell phone up to her ear. Armando trailed Zach as he walked from Melrose Place to the hotel and immediately called her when he entered the lobby. Quietly thanking him, she promised a hefty paycheck to be deposited into his account tomorrow. Ending the call, Claudia placed her phone on the bar next to her purse. Picking up her martini, she glanced over to her left seeing Zach approach the bar, still extremely upset about what happened with Haleigh. Peering over the rim of her glass at him, Claudia took a sip of her martini before looking away and resting the drink back down on the small red napkin in front of her. Almost instantly Zach downed his drink before the bartender had the chance to move away. Pressing her glossy lips together, Claudia lifted her hand and casually motioned for the bartender to come over. Giving him a smile, she leaned forward and quietly whispered something before he nodded and left.

Picking up her drink once again, her eyes followed the tender as he placed a fresh Jack on the rocks in front of Zach.

Bartender: "From the lady"

He nodded in Claudia's direction to which she gave Zach a small smile and lifted her martini glass up a bit, in a 'cheer's' gesture. Taking a sip, she finished off the rest of her drink and picked off the remaining olive from it's spear, eating it. Claudia sat casually, calling over the bartender once again, while waiting for Zach to take the bait.

Roosevelt Hotel -- the Tropicana

Zach practically INHALED the drink as soon as it was delivered.... and he sighed grimly.... under it wasn't the burn of the liquer that was a problem for him... but rather... the burn of realizing he probably didn't have a snowball's chance in HELL with Haleigh.

Barkeep: "From the lady."

A new glass of Jack. The barkeep tipped his head in the direction of a sultry brunette who was several barstools down. She smiled at him... but wasn't really in the mood to smile back. She was sexy, alright... and Zach loved a girl who made the first move, but the LAST thing he needed was to pick up a woman in a bar and get involved in yet ANOTHER messy relationship. 'Oh how did you lovebrids meet?' 'well, I followed my ex-fiance across the country on a mission to get her back and found so and so in a bar instead.' Yeah, THAT sounded romantic.

But still...even though he couldn't smile or feel like being particularly charming... it would be a SIN to ignore such a beautiful woman. He lifted his glass in silent response to her 'cheers', and then looked sullenly away as he drained about half of her offering.

The bartender promptly made Claudia another martini with three olives speared side by side and left in the glass. As the tender placed her drink down in front of her, Claudia folded a white napkin and slid it to the man and discreetly nodded her head over toward Zach indicating she wanted the tender to give it to him. As the man walked over to Zach, Claudia picked up the spear of olives and pulled one into her mouth using her teeth. As the barkeep slid the napkin to Zach, Claudia casually rested her elbow on the bartop and kept her gaze away from him.

Bartender: "This is also from the lady."

Inside the napkin, three words were written in perfect script: I'm no lady.

Roosevelt Hotel -- the Tropicana

Zach drank a little more... and a little more... and a little more, until the second drink was gone. He searched the bottom of the glass... but found little solace there, and glanced back over at the woman who'd sent him the drink. She wasn't looking directly at him... she was passing something to the bartender, and it gave Zach a discreet chance to get a better look. There was, after all... no harm in looking. ;)

The bartender came back over... another gift from the lady... only.... as the napkin itself seemed to assert... she was no lady. Zach glanced back over at her... but she wasn't even REMOTELY looking in this direction. He looked back down at the napkin, giving the matter one final consideration... and then closed the napkin in his fist, got up from the bar and left.

Passing by the pool on the way to his room... he decided he was being foolish. She was, after all... very appealing... and it wasn't like his relationship with Haleigh was going anywhere. During the entire arguement... Zach HAD agreed with Haleigh on one thing... comfort was a night 'well spent'. He turned around, going back into the Tropicana.

"Barkeep."

He called, stopping to write a reply on the napkin, enclose a keycard to his room, and pass it to the bartender, along with a $50 bill.

"That's for her... and this is for the tab-- mine and hers. Thank you."

Zach waited for her to recieve his message -- and I'm no gentleman.-- and gave her a parting, questioning expression before leaving the bar again. He wouldn't press it. If she wanted to follow... she would. But judging from her pursuit... she would.

Hearing Zach get up from his stool, Claudia turned her head in his direction, watching from over her shoulder as he left the bar. Smirking, his gut instinct was to run; be faithful to the woman who he still loved but knew he couldn't be with. If it wasn't so sad it would be sweet. Turning back to the bartender who offered to make her another martini, Claudia lifted her hand in a 'stop' motion and shook her head no.

"I'm fine. Just the bill."

Picking up her clutch, she opened it and placed her phone inside before taking out her wallet. But as Claudia opened it to get her cash, out from the corner of her eye, a body approached the bar causing the brunette to glance over. Seeing it was Zach again, she slowed her movements a bit in an absent attempt to continue what she was doing. Seeing Zach slip the bartender something, the man walked over and placed a folded white napkin in front of her. Lifting a curious brow, Claudia unfolded it immediately seeing a keycard. Sliding the keycard off the napkin with her fingers, in print she saw the words 'and i'm no gentlemen' written beneath her message. Looking to where Zach was standing moments ago, he was now gone.

Picking up the keycard, Claudia withdrew a hundred from her wallet, preparing to hand it to the bartender.

Bartender: "The gentleman already took care of you miss."

"Is that so?"

Tapping the keycard on her wallet in which she held with her other hand, Claudia slid the bartender the one hundred anyway and closed her wallet, placing it into her purse and sliding off her barstool.

"Thanks."

Walking out of the Tropicana Lounge, she made her way to the elevator and pressed the up button, waiting for it to pick her up. Looking down at the keycard, Claudia grinned as the elevator arrived at the lobby, doors opening. Walking inside, she pressed the 10th floor button and waited until the elevator slowed to a stop on the designated floor. Exiting, Claudia stood in the quiet hallway; the elevator doors shutting behind her. Opening her purse, she took out her cell phone and dialed Clara's number, it immediately went to voicemail.

"Hey Clar-bear, i'm not going to be able to make dinner tonight. I had a meeting that suddenly came up. I'll see you when I get home. Love you."

Ending the call, Claudia placed the phone into her purse and proceeded down the hallway to room 1016. Looking at the golden numbers mounted on the door, Claudia held the keycard in one hand before KNOCKING with her other. Folding her arms across her chest, she leaned her weight onto one foot, waiting.

Zach took the elevator up to his room... his spirits a little higher than before. The woman from the Tropicana was a PERFECT distraction from the disaster of the earlier evening. A man followed him into the elevator-- a man he actually recognized. He glanced over once, then back at the floor counter above the elevator doors.

"Robert Downey Jr."

He said casually... and after a moment or two... got the confirmation from the man. Zach nodded gently.

"Loved Iron Man."

He said gently, looking over with an approving nod. He got a smile and a thanks. Being around Haleigh's celeb photography front, Zach was immune to starry eyed fandom.... but everyone liked to know their work was appreciated. Downey Jr got off on the 8th floor... and Zach rode alone up to the tenth.

After entering his suite... and turning on a lamp, Zach unbuttoned his cufflinks and tossed his wallet and phone on the kitchenette bar. It didn't take very long before a knock came at the door... and his brow furrowed in confusion. Maybe it was room service or something? Opening the door... he found the woman from the bar standing there, arms crossed. Zach warily leaned out of the threshold, looking left and then right down the hallway, trying to make sure this wasn't some kind of set up or ambush. He pulled back, raising an eyebrow at the woman.

"I gave you a key."

The door opened; Claudia shifted her eyes over to Zach, her expression even.

"I gave you a key."

"And i'm giving it back."

Unfolding her arms, she held the key out between her index and middle fingers toward Zach for him to take it.

"I don't make house calls. [taking some cash out from her jeans pocket, she slid the folded money into Zach's front pants pocket.] And I don't like getting taken care of at the bar."

She was sharp and confident, but she wasn't dismissive. In fact, her standoffish attitude was more of a game; foreplay if you will. She NEVER let a man believe they had her figured out. She would play their games by HER rules, and Zach was no exception. Even if she was the one trying to seduce him.

Don't worry...I "saw" you surviving the experience.

"I bet you did, Al. We all know you're the closest being into voyeurism here. But we really need to get you a man. I saw the way you were appealing to Sean back at the club."

Winking over to Alison with a chortle from her jest. But Blaze hadn't ever recalled the Seer getting serious with a man. Although it could have been her marble heart wouldn't allow the luxury.

Well, it looks like its business as usual. Strife and Drama following Haleigh where ever she goes.

"It kinda makes sense why she was so frigid on the old world..."

Rambling that last part under her breath, Blaze was referring to Haleigh's alternate who literally became an ice box.

Lover boy Zach is back and Mike has engaged in a macho feuled territory contest. Melrose Place has just had its first DOG FIGHT, a first in the history of the property i think. and your newest snake...i mean resident [ Claudia] has conviniently left for the evening.

"Mike?! Out of all the people to brawl with Zach his name hadn't come to mind. I really didn't think he was that close to her. If it was for Karen's behalf I could see but Haleigh? I haven't met Claudia or the other woman. But as much as I love your cryptic insight Alison I would love just once for you to beat around the bush."

You guys just couldn't resist, could you? and don't let Blaze fool you. She's just as nosy as you two are.

"I may have been CURIOUS! Its not a crime. Its not like I'm watching people behind closed doors getting busy."

Chuckling she was referring to Alison 'seeing all', something that slightly creeped her out. If it wasn't Haleigh scoping them out with her surveillance it was Alison. A little too weird for Blaze's liking who was a private person.

Next stop of train wreck express? Melrose Place, apt. number 5!

"You guys are horrible!"

She chided playfully while giggling at Alison's remark.

Sharon is missing out on the fun.

"Yes, where is Sharon?"

Hugging Morgan Blaze turned to her sister.

Blaze, how are you?

"I'm not too bad and yourself?"

No thanks. Haleigh already ruined my relationship. What she's getting NOW is the least of what she deserves.

"Haleigh? Oh Morgan, its not like she climbed on top of herself! Nicolas isn't exactly no saint here either. He obviously likes to have his cake and eat it too so I don't think it was just Haleigh her. Sexual chocolate boy had gotten his hershey kiss satisfied. So, I would be less concerned about Haleigh and more so about Nicolas."

It was obvious Blaze sided with Haleigh on this. Granted the hybrid wasn't innocent by any means but Blaze didn't feel the blame should be placed all on Haleigh's shoulders either.

No thanks, I'm on a diet.

"So, stick thin is in this season?"

Smirking Blaze didn't know why her sister bothered with watching her weight in the first place.

Delilah, Alison and I came to check on you and make sure everything's alright. Alison is leaving back for Greece shortly

"I appreciate that. I'm doing fine but I hate just sitting around but there's only so much you can do with one arm." Motioning to her broken arm she turned to gaze from Morgan to Alison. "That sucks, too bad Alison couldn't stay here. I could use the help unless you have something pressing to attend to."

But it looks like nearly everyone is abuzz about Zach's arrival. Did you see Mike? He was in there FIGHTING Zach!

"Why are we ooing over Tarzan for? From the way you tell it, it sounds like Mike is overly protective of Haleigh."

Oh my goddess...I just had a terrible thought. WHY would HE be fighting Zach...unless...HE's cheating on my mother with HALEIGH!?

Blaze rolled her eyes before reaching over to Morgan's waist to pull her back down onto the couch.

"Would you sit your skinny blonde ass down before you give yourself an ulcer. I doubt Haleigh would do such a thing. I think Haleigh has learned her lesson the hard way!"

Blaze pondered telling Morgan about the night at the club. Nibbling her bottom lip before she gazed in Alison's direction.

"Alison could tell us if Haleigh and Mike are doing the McNasty or not."

Claudia: "And I'm giving it back. I don't make house calls."

Ooo... a little bit of attitude. She held out the key to him... and he held eye contact with her as he slowly reached up for it, making SURE to graze her fingers with his own as he took the card back. She leaned forward stuck something in the front pocket of his pants, presumably money, because she added that she didn't like getting taken care of at the bar. He grabbed her wrist as she began to pull away, smirking.... hoping that she liked getting taken care of in bed. ;) He didn't let go of her wrist... and he didn't break eye contact either.

"Well what DO you like??"

He asked coyly. He didn't really need the answer.... he had an idea... and he KNEW she was playing with him. He understood.... a woman had to give the illusion of being hard to get... even if she wanted the EXACT same thing the man wanted.... otherwise she might look desperate for so eagerly picking HIM up at the bar. She had to PRETEND to have standards, he assumed. WHATEVER the reason.... he wasn't going to be so easily deterred.

Claudia's eyes dropped to Zach's hand that grasped around her wrist. Parting her mouth, she raised a single brow before lifting her gaze back up to him.

"Well what DO you like??"

Claudia twisted her wrist and grasped his forarm before jerking her arm back to her, pulling Zach toward her so their faces were only inches from each other. Tilting her head to the side, she kept her dark eyes locked with his; pieces of her curled ebony locks falling across her cheek.

"If you have to ask that, then i've come to the wrong room."

This time, Claudia pulled her arm out of Zach's hold and stepped back away from him and turned to head to the elevator. He wanted it as much as she did. She could see the hunger in his eyes. The need to drown in pleasure to stop from thinking about his pain. The sad thing was it mirrored exactly how Claudia felt every time she slept with a random man since she was a teenager. The need to claim back the power that was taken away from her as a child. The need to show that she wasn't a victim and could be the one that caused the heartache and pain. It was warped and diluted, but deep down past her denial, she knew it was true. She knew she was trying to fill a void in her life. But after nearly 19 years of supressing everything, it became second nature for Claudia to hide everything involving her past with Trevor. She was extremely hard to read; only confidence and allure radiated from the Italian beauty. Especially now, standing in front of Zach.
