Part one of a MAGIC EVENT that spans across the ages. Ian McNee wanted to be the Sorcerer Supreme but was bested by Stephen Strange (MARVEL FANFARE #6). Now a collector of magical and bizarre artifacts in the lower east side of New York, he's on a dangerous quest for four items that he thinks will keep a crazed Ancient Egyptian Priest from resurrection. This issue, the object is the Sword of Bone, and we finally discover the story of what really happened when Magik traveled to Ancient Egypt and met Storm's descendent during NEW MUTANTS #34 in a 22-page story by Louise Simonson and Steve Scott. Plus, Ian McNee comes face-to-face with the sword’s guardian in a special 10-page story by Marvel magic historian David Sexton and Eric Nguyen.

[The Doctor]

I have heard about this. It's supposed to be Annihilation for Magic Users like Sister Grimm and the Scarlet Witch. But I wonder how it could work out...? It's not like anyone cares if the Dark Dimension gets invaded by Shuma Gorath or Blackheart.

ahem...MAGIK is involved..THATS why people should care!

the fact that Louise Simonson is involved and she used to handle Magik and the rest of the new mutants in the glorious 1980's and that it revists and looks DEEPER into one of Magik's more mysterious capers...is definately something to watch. Magik and Storm have a deep connection as shown in the Storm & Illyana: Magik LS Even doctor strange has acknowledge (with some fear at times) the power and potent represented within Illyana.

and the mystical world in Marvel can be VERY intriguing when handled by the right team.

[Black King]

i already got the first one and i already have an idea where th story might me shaping too. its really good but the reason people should be reading isn't magik being involved its the Sister Grimm one shot.
