How in the hell did the Kardashian sisters make $65million over the last year!? what's so great about them? and WHO is buying their shit to such a degree that they're making this kind of money??

they can't act, they can't sing OR dance, they're not ANYTHING and the biggest joke of all is that it was Kim who opened the door for the other two by opening her legs to Ray-J all those years ago LOL!

I look online and i see more "news" blurbs bout them, RHOA, Beiber and other NON celebs than i do ACTUAL celebrities. wtf is going on? have people become this stupid and undiscerning in their tastes? LOL

I mean I'm not obsessed with finding every detail out about any real celeb either...not even my favs like Madonna or Farrah Fawcett. I'm a mega fan BUT i have a life and i pay attention to what's going on around me.

The Kardashians make money by being very beautiful...simple as that.

They are sexy and accessible, and they sell everything. To quote an article about them.

The family splits a six-figure check for each episode of their several reality shows, but this just serves as a marketing platform or "commercial" for their related efforts: the Dash stores, books, fragrances, skin care, diet products, a line for Sears, etc - next up are slot machines for The Mirage Hotel.

That is just smart. People like to look at them and know about them, so they give out access and in exchange they hawk products. I can appreciate their hustle: think of them as models that own the products they hawk and the shows that they advertise in. They save on advertising and improve their Q rating with the visibility of their shows.

Their shows are the most watched ones on the networks they are on.

Bieber...the kid is talented for so young. Girls love him. His marketing is flawless. I give him his props. The kid can sing and he can dance and with his connections (Usher et al) he is on the inside track for long-term success.

we have supermodels who get paid ridiculous amounts of money to be beautiful, stand there and take up space, and warrant a little TOO much "celebrity status" lol. the kardashian sisters are not even true, seasoned models. they are girls who benefit from celebrity parentage and one sister opening her legs to one of the ugliest guys in the music biz. i can appreciate "hustling" when you have to...but even CALL GIRLS are more classy than what she was in that video.

i just dont see why they warrant "celebrity" status. they're not talented AT ALL and you can BUY beauty if you have enough $$ and know some good plastic surgeons.

I dont see anything interesting or talented about him. i suspect its a "generational" thing for me and the fact that what passes for "pop" music nowadays is such crap. at the same time...this 16 yr. old was asked (BY ROLLING STONE of all entities) for his views on ABORTION. wtf? this BOY doesnt know WOMEN, he doesnt know the significance of roe v. wade...who would care what his uninformed "view" on abortion is??

The best thing he said when asked about abortion and rape, was that he can't answer that due to not having that experience...

Beiber is making a mint cause like previous pop stars he takes his predecessor as a genre of music in this cause Usher, just like Usher used Micheal Jackson as a genre and if i was older i be able to tell you who Jackson was living off of at the time.

Any hoo back to the Kardashians they managed to make money hand over coc . . . fist by marketing themselves to the male gaze and taking advantage of this freaky shift in culture that calls anyone woman that can successfully sell herself a successful businesswoman. An article in i think the daily news called it out the best talking about a "professional mistress's" new book deal, "remember when selling yourself used to be something to be ashamed of?" Not just women but men and children are now encourage to accept that sell yourself to get somewhere attitiude and the attitude is proven to work in our culture every day we watch crap like Jersey Shore, The Surreal Life, Bad Girls Club and that one i'm blanking on where the Brides compete to get plastic surgery but the point still stands. Our world used to be work hard to get where you want now the message is sell yourself just cash in (yes i stole that from the Jewel song what of it?)

I'm guilty of being a BGC fan...well I WAS a fan up till season 4. But now? the show has totally degenerated into the same thing all the other reality shows are. its not about the girls REFORMING and LEARNING like the previous seasons...its all about which one can race to (over) the top with their antics and how many can parlay their time on the show into 15.5 minutes of fame. so I havent been watching BGC since season 5.
