We all have movies we love or we even obsess over. Some movies are the type that whenever they are on we cannot help but watch it from beginning to end. Or sometimes on channels like TNT, they have back-to-back runs of the same movie.
As such, I wanna know what movies you guys like that you can't seem to get enough of.
Working Girl - While her boss (Sigourney Weaver) is out with a broken leg, a secretary at a Wall Street firm secretly takes over her job with her own ideas while finding romance with another executive. A portrait of women in the business world and a romantic comedy in one, the film captured 6 Oscar nominations and launched Melanie Griffith's career.
The Cutting Edge - Can a rough and tumble hockey player and a snooty ice dancer find love and a gold medal at the same time? That's the burning (or more appropriately freezing) question in this romantic drama. Kate Moseley (Moira Kelly) is a world-class figure skater training for the Olympics; she has genuine talent, but years of being spoiled by her wealthy family have made her all but impossible to work with. Doug Dorsey (D.B. Sweeney) is a hockey player with drive, skill, and a full complement of arrogance; his team is also on the fast track to the Olympics. Unfortunately, an eye injury suffered during a game affects Doug's peripheral vision enough to put him on the bench for the rest of the season. At the same time, Kate's colossal ego scares off yet another skating partner, and her coach, Anton (Roy Dotrice), needs to find a replacement as soon as possible. Desperate to stay in Olympic competition, Doug agrees to try working as Kate's partner, even though he has a hockey player's macho contempt for figure skating. Needless to say, the first few practices between Kate and Doug do not go well, but in time they learn to work together and become a pair to be reckoned with both on and off the ice.
Monster-in-Law - 's not unusual to see two women fighting over the same man in a movie, only this time it's his mother and his fiancée vying for his attention in this broad comedy. While Charlotte Cantilini (Jennifer Lopez), known to her friends as Charlie, has never had much luck in her love life, one day her ship arrives in a big way when she meets Kevin Fields (Michael Vartan), a doctor who is charming, handsome, and wealthy. Kevin also has a famous mother, Viola Fields (Jane Fonda), who has enjoyed a long and successful career as a news broadcaster. When Kevin and Charlie fall head over heels for one another, he opts to propose marriage to her as he's introducing Charlie to Viola over lunch. However, as far as Viola is concerned, this could not come at a worse time -- Viola has just been fired from the anchor desk, and regards her son as the only anchor left in her life. Not willing to share Kevin with anyone, Viola sets out to sabotage his relationship with Charlie in any way she can, often with the wary assistance of her secretary Ruby (Wanda Sykes). But once Charlie gets wind of Viola's schemes, she decides two can play this game.
Underworld - In this supernatural version of Romeo and Juliet set in modern times, a stylish vampire (Kate Beckinsale) falls in love with a mortal (Scott Speedman) who is being hunted by werewolves, setting up a showdown between the eternally feuding rival clans of vampires and werewolves.
Underworld: Evolution - ‘Underworld: Evolution’ is the continuation of the battle between the Lycans (werewolves) and the Death Dealers. Kate Beckinsale resumes her role as Selene, the vampire heroine, to learn about the legacy of feuding between the two tribes and to unlock the secret of her ancient bloodline. Her journey plunges the vampires and Lycans deeper into war.
Save the Last Dance - Following the death of her mother, a white small-town girl moves in with her father in Chicago and enrolls in an urban, predominantly black high school, where she falls in love with a gifted and popular African-American student. Together, they overcome racial hurdles, and she rediscovers her dream to dance.
Step Up - Everyone deserves a chance to follow their dreams, but some people only get one shot. Tyler Gage (Channing Tatum) is a rebel from the wrong side of Baltimore's tracks – and the only thing that stands between him and an unfulfilled life are his dreams of one day making it out of there. Nora (Jenna Dewan) is a privileged ballet dancer attending Baltimore's ultra-elite Maryland School of the Arts -- and the only thing standing in the way of her obviously brilliant future is finding a great dance partner for her senior showcase. When trouble with the law lands Tyler with a community service gig at Maryland School of the Arts, he arrives as an angry outsider, until his skills as a gifted street dancer draw Nora's attention. Now, as sparks fly between them, both on and off stage, Tyler realizes he has just one performance to prove that he can step up to a life far larger than he ever imagined.
Just a few movies I can never tire of. What about the rest of you guys?
