Let's discuss Michael Jackson- his music genius, albums, songs, and everything else that made him quite possibly the most successfull and celebrated (and at times controversial) entertainer EVER.

His career spans 40 years, he broke new ground not only for music but for the way black people were perceived and regarded in music. He's touched so many people...fans, colleagues, friends...the WORLD.

Despite his problems and controversies, you can't deny his musical accomplishments.

What are your favorite Michael Jackson albums or songs? Have you ever met him? Seen him perform live? Share your Michael Jackson related memories here too.

My entire life is filled with Michael Jackson memories. I sang "Lady of my Life" at my cousin's wedding. He called me just yesterday as the song played on the radio to tell me that me singing that song for him and his wife created another indelible memory that he thinks of right now with Jackson's passing...

my earliest memories are watching the Motown 25 special with my mother, father and cousin. I was 6 years old. I dont remember being as "excited" as the people actually AT the show were, but i DO remember seeing that broadcast myself. I also remember watching my mother, her sister and some of her friends doing aerobics to "don't stop to you get enough" while me and the other children were dancing/jumping around wildly lol!

Later on when I was out of highschool, i can remmeber me and some of my girlfriends doing a dance routine to "wanna be startin something" at a holiday barbeque. I was one of two white girls in the group lol

"billie jean" is another one that i LOVE to get up and dance to. its such an awesome song with a strong beat and bass line.

other personal favorites of mine are: "do you remember the time" (i made it my business to LEARN that routine he did on the video in the breakdown); and i really enjoyed the Invincible album, especially "You rock my world", "Heaven can wait" and "Butterflies" it all sounded like a nice update to the "off the wall" sound. iits quite nice.

I have random Michael Jackson memories growing up lol.

I remember when I was 11 these two boys came to visit their grandmother in my old neighborhood for the week, and I started to play with them. But even after they left I would hang out at the woman's house and play dominos with her. I remember one day Black and White by MJ came on and I just sat there and watched with her. And what was ironic was the lady was black and i'm obviously white, and at that time there weren't very many black people in my neighborhood or school [which changed later on down the line]. She was so cool. She made the best cookies LOL.

In my senior class DVD [it documented different parts of my classes senior year events] it had my three friends dancing to Thriller while in Dave and Busters in Washington DC. D&B had the video playing on monitors in the eating area, so they were dancing in front of it. It always makes me laugh when I go back and watch.

Those are the two memories that stick out the most for me for whatever reasons.

Honestly I think the first thing I ever remember from Michael Jackson was the song he did for Free Willy.. I remember we had the video and in the beginning before the movie played they played the Michael Jackson music video for the song, and that was the first time I remember ever really knowing who he was. I remember singing and dancing to that song everytime watched Free Willy!

I was honestly just remembered of it when JHud sang it at the memorial.

I absolutely adored Michael Jackson. I didn't care what a single person said, I stuck to my opinion and it never changed. He was truly and iconic genius. There will never be anyone like him. I remember first seeing him on MTV. It was his video for Black and White. The weird thing about seeing him, I always thought he was that color and thats how he always looked. Then one day I saw the Jackson movie, and saw the story about his life. I didnt quite understand why he changed his skin color, and I surely didnt care. My favorite song by him is Man in the Mirror and I loved the celeb filled song "We Are The World". He was such a caring person and its sad he left really soon. But I will remember him, I know everyone will. I will just remember all the good about him.
