I call this meeting to order!

Here we are at lucky Meeting 13, and there are some interesting subjects to discuss, so without further ado...

Christian-promoted to level 2.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Farrah continues to be on leave, I know that you all join Riana and me on wishing her a speedy return.

We will be holding the First Annual MoE Awards ceremony soon. The awards will be held in the following categories:

Most evil
Sexiest Male
Sexiest Female
Best Fighter physical
Best Fighter magical
Best Fighter overall
Most promising
Best Training Session
Best Non Player Character
Best use of Species
Best Trainer
Best Shop
Best Dressed
Bitchiest member
Biggest Flirt
Best dancer
Most arrogant
Shyest
Most Dedicated
Most original character
Funniest


Please send your nominations for the categories to
BOTH Riana and me via pm. We will be able to tabulate the nominations and create a ballot that way. The Awards will be a grand and Gala affair so make sure that you dust off your finest apparel for the occassion.

Training: Participation in training is Mandatory. You must attend any training sessions you are summoned to unless you contact your trainer to let them know you are unable to. Please make sure that you do this as fines for lack of participation are now at 1000 gil per session. Demotions are another possibility. Riana and I maintain regular contact with Sati and Storm so we are aware of participation levels. The GoL are working hard in their training and will mop the floors with you if you don't keep current in your training.

TOPICS OF DISCUSSION

Participation in the AHBL forum continues to be low though there are MoE who are entering the new threads. Please remember the 24 hours rule. Jules is using it to her advantage in at least one thread. Get in there and back your fellows up!

Partcipation in IQ is also low, I realize that we all have r/l things to deal with as well, but I have repeatedly asked to be informed if you are going to be out for a bit. I can keep you in if I have the information, otherwise I am not going to go looking for it and will think you have left the quest due to lack of interest. Make sure you let me know.

Sati and Storm will continue to take on the duties of Trainers with regular training sessions. Make sure you check to see if you have been summoned to training. As I mentioned before, training is mandatory and latecomers and no shows will be fined.

I have taken over the duties in Illustra during Farrah's absence. I check in on a daily basis so there should be no major holdups there. If you are purchasing something then you will need to deposit the monies directly to Farrah.

If you have ideas on improving the MoE, let us know either here or via pm.

Another thing, who will be watching over the Infernal Keep whilst Farrah is away? And new talismans - when etc?

I think any of the upper staff team can take care of the infernal keep.

Christian, your promotion was well deserved ;) You and Jex were the only active and enthusiastic people in the session. Which brings me onto the main reason that I'm posting here.

Activity is very low at the moment. Really. I mean, two people did not turn up to a training session. In past, if one person didn't turn up they were slammed, two was virtually unheard of. You need to always look at the Training Cavern thread to check if you have been summoned. If you can't be there for any reason, PM your trainer. Taken from WBD, a Critiques thread has been posted. This is where the critiques will go, so that when threads are moved to the wastelands, your personal critique can still be viewed. I'll start a new training session within the next few days.

Get voting in the MoE awards!
 
This was just brought to my attention that some might not understand the NPC category. It is for the special guest stars that have been played by various members. Gossamer/Riana in Eye of Fire is an excellent example, DC as Hades/Wraiths/Ororo in Inferno, me as Picknose/Oberon/Belasco/Sym in Eye, these are the types of NPC that are up for awards for their entertainment value.

Okay to get down to business here.. I am VERY and I do mean VERY disapointed in the recent lack of people posting in MoE.. don't tell me you're all too busy cause you weren't in the past.. if you're here, show and post otherwise not only will you be put inactive on the member roster you won't promote either, this is a WAR game people get out there and train, fight and be active...


About the awards, I'm looking forward to your pm's like Ike said send your votes to him or me and we will do the rest ;)

I will take care of the infernal keep while Farrah is away so don't worry I'll make time to look at it A.S.A.P. so talismans will be given out soon
 
Congrats Christian, that promotion was well deserved...when I first started battling you, I thought you were a level 3 anyway, you were fighting so good lol. Keep it up ;).

Ooo the MoE awards sound very exciting...I wonder if I'll get a nomination this year lol. *goes to nominate*

I try to post once a day in IQ, and I'm sure the rest of the people taking part could do the same. It's not that hard lol... Oh yeah I was going to ask about the Infernal Keep thing lol, because I'm waiting for my Water Talisman lol.

I'm so happy that the MoE awards are back! It'll probably be twice as much fun this time.

Also, i'm sorry I haven't been very active, just right now things are a bit hectic, with school and all, since I'm still getting back into the swing after Winter vaca. Soemthings you just can't give up. . .

Hey, firstly congrats on the promotions! I'm sure they were well deserved!

Next, I'm going to try my hardest at the moment to drop by at least once a day and get to posting, I'm halfway done exams at school and I have two more coming up for which I have to study for or else there's a chance I could do very badly on them. So yes... thats going to keep me a little bit. I'll trying and make it into AHBL as well.

The awards sound interesting. I'm going to have to go around and see who I'm going to nominate and I'll send my nominations in as soon as possible!

and i shall be posting more often - i apologize just gettin into the groove here and whatnot - shall be heading into AHBL shortly..after i return from some tennis whuppage action anyway :p
 
Farrah is out on account that she has the flu and is bedridden until she gets better. Poor girl :( So happy i don't get the flu! LOL

As for the MOE Awards, it seems there's a bit of a miscommunication, if you'd check your PM inbox Ikaris ;)

I asked this at the last meeting, but i guess no one paid attention to it. Ikaris/Riana, are one on one trainings still available? I asked trent about a month ago and never received any reply. Am wondering if i could get a training thread up with a trainer yet?

I may be in and out this week as we have finals and i need time to study :) So hope yall have fun and kick some GOL behind! Congrats to Christian and Drag, enjoy your new powers ;)

You aren't alone Sati lol, there was only like one pair fighting in our training thread as well (Great job Axis and Rayden ;)). Hex came and left so Trent got into the fight. Drag posted once...replied to my PM and then never posted again in the training. What happened to you Drag?? :( Inactivity just makes trainings boring and you don't learn to use your powers much when there's no one to fight lol.

The "MOE Drout" time was really scary. No one posted at all, and i mean no one, not even staff members, cept the occasional XS post or shop order...that was very creepy to see. I'm glad we're moving up in activity somewhat lol.
 
Amy, I got your message and sent you one as well. As for the one on one training, I dont think this is available right now as we are trying to keep bandwidth down (is this the right term? ) unless it were to occur on a messenger service, like aim, msn, or yahoo. You would need to check with the individual trainer to see if they are available. Hope this answers your question. :)
 
Ok, first of all, i want to apologize for my inactivity in the last week. Wednesday and Thursday, I was usy getting ready for a retreat with my church and Friday-today I was at the retreat. (It was awesome, by the way ;)) I may not post much this week for the fact that I have to seriously study for midterms.

Congrats on promotions and I will send my nominations soon for the awards.

Training: I hope I was called this time...just hope im not late.

I cant help to agree with you Sati :) It is very few that is active which isnt fun... but I hope it will come around.

First off, congrats on the promotions...

Next, something obviously needsto be done with the participation level. The very few members of GOL who actually do go inot ahbl fighting threads are very limited. In fact i can name them now...

As for training, i am still eagerly awaiting for one for me. :D

And what Amy PMed you about, Jay, so do we still go on with the awards? Maybe you should sort of pospone it for the moment? Besides, the categories are too little... There should be more..
 
I've posted about this subject in the Mod forum Lentl, there has been a mix up when it comes to the awards since a few of us didn't know that You and Amy were working on it with Farrah, I want the awards to take place a.s.a.p. and have sugested we compair notes on this.. I'm waiting for Jay to get back to me on it ;)

I don't know how long Farrah will be away for.. I hope she'll be back soon but for the mean time we'll do more then our best to keep things going over here :)
