Marvel's mightiest morta?

yes it did happen in her own series but that doesnt change the fact that it IS one of her listed accomplishments. However BB's power is defined NOW, his power could NOT harm Dazzler.

and yes, I too noticed her ability to return from the dead ...about 3 or 4 times and counting now in the 2nd Excalibur series. If im not mistaken, that is supposed to be delved into?

not sure it keeps happening but they yet to do any read look into it. so far its just a running gag. as for Black Bolt's power not effecting her i'm not too sure bout that this is a guys who's voice managed to rip a hole in reality itself.

Dazzler might be strong, but she's not the mightiest there is. Her powers are especially good against opponents who use sonic attacks, but alot of others would stand triumphant in a fight with her.

Binary might have been one of the mightiest when she was at her peak, seeing how she took out a WHOLE planet of Brood. Thats a feat few others can boast of.

AND she stopped the sun from exploding ;)

It was then she "lost" her Binary form right? I know she could do it later, but never keep the form for long right?

If he hasn't already been mentioned i'd like too mention Dr.Strange he can be one bad mofo, i guess so can most of those who are on Dr.Strange's level.
Margali Szardos maybe? Didn't she defeat Dr.Strange once? I have heard that her powers grow and weakens depending on certain factors, is this true???

she its part of this thing called the Winding Way it cause her powers to wane and wax kind of like the moon

yes, Binary long term injuries from stabilizing the sun (neither thor NOR the hulk can boast such a thing) and while she DID regain her power as Binary during Avengers vol III, they almost HAD to depower her because she wouldve out powered everyone on the team. she didnt NEED to be on a team while in FULL binary form but even at her current levels, she's still powerfull as hell and still possesses that unlimited potential and Dr. Strange (i wish Lawless were still here to back me up on this) was AFRAID of Magik.

Margali Zsardos has mopped the floor with Dr. Strange MORE than once. She's warped his spells and turned them BACK on him, she's wrested control of his most prized talisman from his posession.

Margali Zsardos subscribes to the path of the "winding way" which is a mystical ladder that dictates times of power and times of recession as the person makes their way to ultimate knowledge and understanding. She's CHEATED and ripped through the winding way on several occassions, one being when she obtained posession of the Soul Sword (during the misbegotten "Soul sword" trilogy storyline in excalibur). She murdered anyone who was AHEAD of her on the winding way and obtained their power and skill.

Indeed, Binary is mighty and I would pay to see her and the Hulk go at it. The thing I see here is an unwillingness to understand that the Hulk has a varied power set.

First of all, he is not simply strong. He possesses strength, invulnerability and regeneration on levels not matched in the MU by any ONE individual. In addition he has the ability to tap into the intelligence of one of the foremost minds on Earth, an ability to adapt to harsh conditions, and a physiology that is enhanced by energy, not destroyed. In fact the Hulk has manipulated energy as if were a regular object and applied his muscles to break the applicable laws of physics.

So the Hulk is not simply strong. Colossus is strong. Thing is strong. The Hulk has the ability to transcend regular physical laws through the exercise of physical prowess and sheer will. There is no measurable limit to what he can physically accomplish.

oh i realize that he's far more than just a big green oaf. he's come a long way over the 40+ years he's been in print. I just had a delayed reflex against some of the "thor can do anything" mantra i used to see on MD...AND since I know you'd probably go so far as to see he could knock the earth out of orbit :)p) I had to include Hulk too. :D

I dont take away from him and i dont deny him because he's really moved beyond just being a character about "super strength" but unlike other beings such as PHOENIX (sigh) he's not turned into a crutch or a plot device and kept out of the center of things enough to keep him fresh and intriguing.

That is one of the things I like about the Hulk. His evolution over time. The problem is that if you are not a regular Hulk reader, or if your get your Hulk fill in his spots on other books, you of ten see the misconceptions or the watered-down versions of him. In his book it helps to lay out how he is physically the pinnacle of what is possible. The neat thing is how that can cross over into so many other things. For example:

He has physically rejected energy from his body and handled energy as an object.

He has the ability to see ghost, astral, and cosmic forms. He also has ridiculous hand-eye coordination that helps him close the gap against speedier opponents and the ability to adapt as he goes, physically and mentally.
