Marvel's mightiest morta?

Ok so im thinking, who do you people think is marvel's mightiest mortal?
For this we will leave out the abstract entities, watchers, celestials and all that cosmic riff, raff.

So come on people bring your 2 cents and lets hear. I'd like a reason why said character would be the mightiest of them all. Raw power? Intelligence? Wisdom? Cunning? Magical talent? Other abilities.

Later on im thinking maybe making a poll of this.
 
this is tied between the Sentry and Dr Strange.

The Sentry- strength of exploding stars stronger than every other hero. hes at least Herald of Galactus level if not higher. Hes only real weakness is his mental state and insanity.the only reason he never gets to show it cause no writer uses him.

Dr. Strange- all this guy needs is prep time and he has proven to capable of dealing with damn near anything. This guy has challenged being that powers equal god in their home dimensions (usually needing months of time to prepare) but he has done it and most people (and writers) also forget Dr. Strange has enchantments that shield his body from physical harm, and that he does not age and can not die unless under his own terms (having made a deal with Eternity which grants Stephen life as long as he wishes it so).
 
Those are pretty good choices BK but everyone knows that the Strongest Mortal on 616 is...the FORBUSH MAN!!! No really I am serious, when he removes his cast-iron pot he casts utterly realistic and hellish images into the minds of superhumans which has the potential to KILL them if they struggle too hard.

The strongest mortal is the Hulk. Hands down. The overall most powerful is much more dicey. I would argue that Sentry and Hulk have to be on the short list...
 
Dr Strange? bah...to many people have raked him across the coals.

i really cant think of anyone. i'm drawing a blank so ill come back with an answer tomorrow at work but for damn sure i'm not giving Dr. Strange ANY credit when so many OTHER Magick users have left him in the dust.

so i need time to mull of this before i offer my little answer.
 
If Binary still technically existed she would have made my short list assuming she qualifies. I would classify her as possibly cosmic-level, which would exempt her for consideration...
 
not to stray off topic, but i just wanted to say..i ALWAYS wanted to see Binary face off against the Hulk. she beat Gladiator the hell down and OBLITERATED a character whose whole schtick was being able "to access the ultimate upper limit of a person's power potential" and when he found that SHE had no limit...she literally turned him into so much cosmic dust LOL.

Carol Danvers (even when NOT as Binary she's STILL one of the strongest WOMEN on Marvel Earth)

I dont really revel much in "strength" based characters (or discussions related) but i suppose i'd give my vote to the Hulk...he's kind of ridiculous as he is now lol and it would TAKE someone on the level of Binary, Roma or HIGHER to effectively deal with him.
 
Im proposing Black Bolt.
Say all you want, and yes apparently Hulk beat him. Now he knows, next time a whisper won't do it. Anyone her imagine what would happen in Black Bolt let a scream rip :D

Nova seems really powerful now as well. Im no expert though, but the whole Nova Force gotta count for something.
 
i give it to him simply because it was the opening of WWH but i don't thing at any other time should Black Bolt lose to anyone that isn't at least cosmic power level and even then he mid to upper rank

there IS one person who COULD take Black Bolt's scream and remain standing...and if you dont know who it is...then I'll enjoy sparking a frenzy of debate (though it has been shown already) by naming HER.

Could it be.... Dazzler? Or maybe Binary?
 
the day Dazzler survives Black Bolt's scream is the day i stop buying Marvel comics. Binary did it i think
 
Black Bolt opened his mouth WIDE and aimed right at Dazzler. There is NO charted limit to the amount of sound she can absorb/transduce. It WILL brim from her body and cause her to glow like a roman candle if she takes in ALOT (witness when she absorbed all of the sound from a blaring stereo system in a hotel and NO ONE heard the sound but her)

but there's been NO 'on panel' limit shown to how much Dazzler can absorb.
 
That makes no sense Black Bolts voice is only quasi-sonic .theres still a unknown effect in the scream that she shouldn't have been able to adsorb.
 
well it happened, so dont hate. :rolleyes: Dazzler is plenty powerfull and was a one time herald of Galactus (shortly after she absorbed all that sound from Black Bolt) she's often underestimated but is VERY versatile in the use of her ability.

Maybe the quasi sonic element was retconned in later, if not mistaken the Dazzler and BB incident happened in her own series right? During the 80's? Right?

she's often underestimated but is VERY versatile in the use of her ability.
