MARVEL Heroes Get Nekkid For ESPN MAGAZINE's 'Body Issue'

ESPN The Magazine presents Marvel Comics’ pantheon ofheroes in a way they have never been seen before – in a special insert inside the magazine’s annual Body Issue on newsstands Friday, July 10th. The custom edition, entitled The Body Issue: Super Heroes Edition will feature Iron Man, She-Hulk, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Medusa, Hulk, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage.

This is an interesting idea. I'm glad to see that the line up will feature MALE characters as well as female characters. Most of the ones to be feature make sense....but Iron Man & Hulk? not so sure lol! Oddly enough, I haven't seen it on any publication stands around here. I wonder if it's b/c I'm in the bible belt LOL!

It was on ESPN a few days ago- before comicon started I think- it's not the characters, it's the drawings.. the comic characters. They 'skinned' them to show muscles, etc. I dont think bible belt (or many other people) care.

this is a creative idea. I looked @ the website & it was cool to see the different artists explain how they decide to draw these characters. I especially like the woman's explanation for how she draws Captain Marvel. After years of seeing female characters like Psylocke, & others (most infamously Power Girl on the DC side) being drawn so ridiculously "out of proportion", its nice to see that someone understands.

I will NEVER like Carol's short hairstyle though
