Due to the wild (and official record breaking) success of Madonna's current concert tour "Sticky & Sweet", the big M added MORE shows to her tour. In her opening in London, she performed a funky new version of her classic hit "Holiday" and surprised the audience with an affectionate tribute to her friend, Michael Jackson!

I first heard about it on TMZ and went to check it out. What do you think?

Pretty GODDAMN Kewl!!

The guy was good (not as good as Michael but who was) and the sentiment seemed quite genuine. I give her props for being gracious. She didn't have to do that and the fact that she did says good things about her IMO.

I actually respect her more after that...

the ONLY thing I would have loved to see beside this...was Madonna herself dancing to those two particular songs. She didnt have to do any "MJ style" moves although she was a famous "Crotch grabber" a'la MJ in her "express yourself" video lol! Billie Jean and Wanna Be Startin' something are two songs i have ALWAYS enjoyed dancing to (as i said in the MJ thread) and to see the Queen of Pop dancing to them would have been SOOO awesome!

STILL, as it happened, this tribute I thought was very affectionate on her part. They WERE friends. Started off as rivals in the early 80s when both had the world transfixed (understandibly so) but what alot of people either dont know or hate to admit is that MJ was friends with many powerfull, legendary people whom they would often like to see pitted against him. Madonna, Cher, Liza Minelli, Diana Ross...ALL legends and ALL PERSONAL friends of MJ, along with Jane Fonda, Kathy Hilton (Paris' mother) even that asshole Donald Trump LOL!

I saw that on TMZ. I thought it was really sweet of her to do a tribute for MJ. :) U2 also did one at their concert as well. Bono sang bits and pieces of some of MJ's songs.
