Love in Comics

[Black King]

There are more than a few relationships between characters of the various comic universes. I was just wonder if there are any that just fell by the wayside or just felt right together. Personally i felt that the Victor Von Doom/Morgan Le Fey "get together" in Mighty Avengers was actually one of the few rare moments of true emotion with either character and they actually play off one another pretty well. Anyone that you feel simply should be together??

[The Doctor]

Bug and Mantis. They had great chemistry during Annihilation Conquest: Star-Lord and Bug was obviously crushing over Mantis from the moment he first saw her.

 

[Karma]

Madelynne Pryor and Havok. She's everything Jean ISNT in terms of a WOMAN (outside of powers). A woman with FIRE in her spirit and the perfect person to bring out the badness in Havok as she prooved during the Inferno and even BEFORE that.

I think his subconscious love for her was what propelled him to successfully saving her from herself in Mutant X when her goblyn force power threatened to destroy everything.



Storm and Wolverine. I know they've always painted wolverine to be obsessed with Jean, but he's better suited to Storm and many of their closest moments on panel have proven that. She's a goddess and he's secure enough to revel in it while still being his own man. He often called her "princess" and was the perfect balance of roughness to her elegance.

T'challa is boring and hardly deserving of Storm IMO.

Even though it never happened, I would have loved to see Ms. Marvel end up with Captain America! America's iconic hero with Ms. Marvel, who is arguably one of Marvel's best female icons. I think Steve would have been the perfect balance for Carol especially during some of those traumatic low points in her life pre AND post "Binary".

That's not entirely true there was something sort of like that in What If? vol.2 #114 (What If the Marvel Superheroes remained trapped on Battleworld?) however Carol's personality had overtaken Rogue's body and snuffed out Rogue's conciousness completely. The two had a teenage daughter named Sarah in that comic.

Storm and Wolverine were married in that What If as well and had two children a teenage daughter (I can only remember her superhero name "Torrent") and an unnamed infant son. I know its a What If comic but it did a good job of showing how well couples like Steve/Carol and Wolverine/Storm would have worked out together.
