I am so not savvy about link exchanges lol! I hate doing them. The only thing I know about it is to find sites that you think might agree to it then email them. That and what I do which is assign a mod to be in charge of links lol! I nominate BK :D :D :D

I was hoping the Livejournal would get us some traffic. I had a lull in posting on there but I've started up again so maybe. I've been promoting it in my signature as well on places.
 
I frequent a SVU board, but it's hard to recruit people because this board is so general that sometimes it doesn't pique their interests, you know? But i'll try.

Other than that, I don't really go on any other message boards that I would be able to spread the word about.
 
Oh also I'm going to try starting threads for shows, instead of one thread per episode like I was doing before. Maybe that will be better.

Oh but for links, maybe Sam can make us some little link buttons that say Screen Gems on them?
 
Suggestion:

I think we should move the Electronica Express out as a main forum rather than have it as a subforum. To me it doesn't seem to fit the randomness that is the Moonlight Lounge. It seems like it should be a more prominent forum since it's directly dealing with hollywood gossip/issues.

Hide all the subforums in tv land and movies forum. I think we could do without them considering some haven't been used since 2009. And keep the ones in the comic forum because they continue to have activity.
 
Great minds... :D I was going to suggest a general entertainment news forum, either at the top of The Pre Show or The Entertainment.

that makes three. i was thinking about maybe moving some things around too. i agree we should move EE out into the main area near the top. Entertainment. Keep "The Buzz" open in Film Reel because that's where UPCOMING movie info is s upposed to go. Keep "Rountable" open in Moonlight Lounge but hide games galore. hide any other subforums outside of Great Escape with no recent activity.
 
I was thinking EE should go where Moonlight Lounge is. Since besides us, there's only one forum in that section that's visable to normal members.
 
I think it belongs in "The Entertainment" section. But maybe we should move Moonlight Lounge UP? or the "Six forum UP? so that people dont have to look as far down? (although only a lazy person would have a problem scrolling but most folks these days dont want to read anything more than two scentences).
 
let's merge "what's the 411" and "help desk" into one. move EE into "The entertainment" section. "The After Party" w/the moonlight lounge ABOVE "the actors studio". inside of Moonlight lounge, hide "games galore" but leave round table viewable
 
Seriously, though, I'm happy to do all that. The only thing I would put my 11 cents in about is merging 411 and Help. I think if you want to do that you should put EE in that category, cause cats look sort of odd with less that three.

Oh, and also, why not put The Six forum below Moonlight Lounge (combining those two categories into one)? That way the archive of old threads isn't above the Six.

But I'll do whatever you want, I'm not fussed about it or anything.

Okay, I lied. After making those changes, I had more thoughts. What about merging EE and The Buzz? That way all news would be in one place and people wouldn't have to dig into a subforum for it.

Also, how about moving the Round Table to under Moonlight Lounge on the main page? That way it's not buried either and spotlights the "adult debate" ness of the board?
 
can you make an icon for EE, like you did for the other existing forums in "the entertainment"? yes i think moving "the buzz" into EE is a good idea, lets just make sure we put all UPCOMING movie info in there first. lets go with that.

okay lets try that with the roundtable. im kind of liking this whole moving stuff around and making the board more simplified.

any other ideas/suggestions?

Do you want to change the anime one on the inside to an actual picture of anime? That icon I think is from another comic category we had - I didn't realize we added that anime one lol

Hmm maybe we want to change the description under Moonlight Lounge from "The Epicenter" to something like "General Discussion" or something? Not that people actually read forum descriptions anyway. Or maybe just add a last sentence saying more what should be posted there, like "Here's the place for the threads that don't fit anywhere else." but you know, better than that lol

I kinda still think we should add back the Help forum, just in case.

Also, do you want me to move the admin and mod forums to their own category at the bottom? I mean, it's only us that sees them but if it bothers you...

oh okay, well Sam would you please make an icon for EE to match the ones you did for Film Reel, Plasma Screen, Spin and Great escape?

Yes lets change the one for "Anime" to an actual anime icon. yes lets move mod/admin and vault to the bottom and put the six back in "the actors studio" as well, above the mod/admin section though. i dont like it being in the same section is moonlight lounge.
 
I can make an icon later tonight for EE....although I don't know what image to use for it. Suggestions??

Also....where did the six go?
