Justice League Movie?

From a recent article from a UK film website (and I've heard this numberous other places)

The long-rumoured Justice League movie looks set to go ahead, however it has been reported today that neither Christian Bale nor Brandon Routh are due to appear.
Justice League is a DC Comics superhero team whose original incarnation in the 60s included Superman and Batman. However, according to Moviehole.net, Bale and Routh, who played Batman and Superman in recent film updates, will film their respective sequels, while an all-new cast will be used for the Justice League project.

So what are your thoughts on the cast? What DC characters should be in the movie? What actors would you like playing the characters you'd like to see?
 
I've been hearing a rumor that Smallville's Tom Welling might have a part in the film maybe wearing a certain big red S
 
They always say that - they said that about Superman Returns too. From what I've read on Tom, he won't do anything else "superhero". *shrugs*

I'm less excited about this film than about the possibility of a JLA Smallville spinoff with Hottie McFoxalot. ;)

He does do a great job as Green Arrow. I was thinking for the movie Ryan Gosling might fill Oliver's green boots well.
 
If there is a movie is there any hint to the line up beside Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman?
 
Flash is likely, because there have been talks of using this movie for a Flash spinoff. I think they'll have Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern and probably Green Arrow and Black Canary for a love interest. Not sure if they'll do Martian Manhunter because he might look really cheesy in live action.
 
They did okay with him on Smallville. I think they'd be more likely to have Green Arrow than Green Lantern because the effects are less expensive.
 
Yeah, probably so. Especially when you consider how difficult telling everyone's backstory is going to be. The Green Lantern one seems significantly more complicated than Green Arrows.
 
Did anyone check out Justice league: New Frontier? I thought it was pretty good. alot darker than you might expect but it is rated pg-13 which is a first for DC animated.
