So she's on American Idol. I hardly got into that show myself and I definately dont care about it now. the majority of the "winners" don't do shit afterward, some of the runner ups actually end up ECLIPSING the winners with their record sales and really the only one who truly benefited from this machine was Kelly Clarkson and even she isnt doing much right now.

As for J.lo- her last two or three albums have bombed and now she's a judge and using the show as a vehicle to promote new material of her own? can you say LOSER!? Her career as a "music artist" was done the moment she released that silly bullshit "Jenny from da block" and then "bennifer" and GIGLI KILLED her career in general.

She had some nice songs in the early phase of her career as a "singer"...but I was through when she dared to say she was "the gloria estafan of the new millennium" LOL

She needs to sit down....oh no wait, she needs to call Beyonce and say "Hey Bey, look at me and where I'm at now? 5 or less years...you'll be here too!" :haha:

LMAO totally agree. I remember when I was saying that she only had a singing career because she was dating Puff Daddy. lol

It is so funny to watch you hate on Beyonce for being a great singer and beautiful and a good dancer.

And J. Lo was always a hack, just a pretty one that could dance.

Garrick, baby, to each his/her own. But seriously- There aint nothing "great" about Beyonce as a "singer". I see so many comparisons between she and J.Lo as far as their fast rise to "it girl" status, their push to become a multi media/market brand and now the moment their star begins to fall...all in a relatively short period of time (10-15 years)

Beyonce was tolerable as part of Destiny's Child, which as a girl group, wasnt that bad (but still no SWV). But the not so obvious grooming of her to be the lead "solo" star thanks to daddy knowles and her associations with Jay-Z made her less likeable.

Come on...since being solo, she's like a pitiful attempt at "making" a Diana Ross for the new millenium and it was a failure. Even Diana had relevance beyond her looks and how funny is it that Bey played the "Diana" (allusion) role in the "Dream Girls" remake?

She is still one of the best-selling artists out...the world disagrees.

J Lo would kill everyone she knows to have Beyonce's career.

Carrie Underwood has actually outsold Kelly Clarkson, just throwing that out there. :p Although I love BOTH artist, and they're my favorite AI winners. I actually stopped watching AI after CU won because it became stupid and repetitive.

Anyway!

My mom still watches AI and says that she thinks Jennifer Lopez is great on it and tries to get me to watch with her. I just can't stomach that woman OR the show anymore, so I kindly decline. :p LOL. When I heard that she was being put on as a judge I thought it was absolutely ridiculous. This woman's career only started in the late 90's, and sure she's successful, but she's not by ANY stretch of the imagination an "icon" in music. Steven Tyler is a hot mess, but atleast he's been around the music scene for a few decades.

The only reason I watched in the first place was because of Simon Cowell. That man is hysterical, tells it like it is, and knows what he's talking about. That's why i'm waiting for X-Factor to come on. :D

Anyway, have you heard her new song with PitBull? Or better yet, seen the video? It looks like she's trying to be "cool" again like she was in 2000 when she was J.Lo LOL!
