A article on CNN calls attention to a viral blog( the actual blog is found here ) that delilberately mocks and makes fun of people who shop at walmart. The targets are typically fat, out of shape, badly dressed individuals using pictures sent in from shoppers @ walmart from around the country.

Now to be honest? I CRINGE at the way some people present themselves in public. I have no problem admitting I shop for my groceries and other house hold items at the walmart but I would never go out looking a hot mess and if i was fat or out of shape? i would not wear shirts that let my stomach hang out (as i have seen people do with my own two eyes) nor would i go ANYWHERE just looking any old kind of way.

In my time, a little pride in ones appearence was still in style. you dont have to get made up and suited down to go to the store, but going out looking (or smelling) dirty and looking like a bum only serves to reinforce a stereotype that IS out there about "walmart shoppers". I know about it but I dont care because i KNOW it doesnt apply to me lol! what do you think?

No, it's not cruel at all; if they either cannot understand nor care for societal norms, then presenting the 'problem' is the first step in fixing it. If they found it cruel, they may take a second to think next time about their appearance and/or the representation.

There can be much leeway in what is socially acceptable though; for instance, I had not problem with the monkey shopping, the goat guarding the car or the dont touch baby sign (because there are some people that MUST TOUCH BAAAABY to use a Seinfield reference.) I can sometimes even excuse some novelty T's, especially if they are in reference to pop culture.

I only saw a few "wrong" things, and the clown, I honestly think could have easily been during a lunch break etc, she was made too clowny to be anything but a clown. I cant imagine someone would wear that as civilian clothes. But then again, cant imagine a guy would wear hot pink shorts either.. so..

while i wouldn't say it is cruel it is a little mean and paints a poor picture of a general population that only leads to more poor conceptions

I mean sometimes I go out in like.. active shorts and a T-Shirt but that's about as slummy as i'll get but i'll most definitely NEVER go out if I haven't done my hair.

The website is mean but quite honestly it's what's going through everyone's head when you SEE people in that manner. We just don't post it on the internet.

Can you imagine if you went to that site and YOU were on it?!
