Irredeemable

[Karma]

While visiting my local library, I noticed a vol 1 tpb of Irredeemable & I decided to check it out.

Wow. what a read. What a DEPARTURE from the marvel fare that is common place in "Today's Marvel". It's dark, bizarre & @ times, twisted.

The main character "Plutonian"...I find him completely infuriating & unsympathetic BUT I'm definitely looking for vol 2 now lol

Has anyone else heard of or read this series?

I read this and collected the series in graphic novel format. The beginning was interesting as was the recap of why he went mad and the stuff with the skeleton children which also doubled up as some fucked up shit. Still, the ending, with the exception of the explanation of his powers, was rubbish utterly bonkers. There was much to like about Irredeemable but it just didn't weave or gel together for me.

Incorruptible, however, is completely underrated and totally enjoyable. Being a villain is so much better than being a hero. Hell being a reformed villain is better than being a hero turned evil and this book proves that.

[Black King]

I liked both series, I thought they would be one note songs but they were really great. I think near the end Irredeemable drags on and Incorruptible ends a little fast but they work well together as a set.
