Dark Alley shrieks with pain and clutches the stump of her hand closely to help control the bleeding. A quick command in an ancient language sends lightning bolts to crash down upon Riana and Toby, at the same time that the ground underneath them launches upwards. The acceleration forces as well as the lightning serve to flatten both the MoE to the ground. Dark Alley's hysterical laughter rings out.

"How do you like the Anvil of Earth and Sky Spell?


Darkchilde casts aside the lifeless corpse of Little Cheese having finally marshalled her concentration enough to cast a spell. She opens two stepping disks one that pulls Riana and Toby to safety and the other as a means to go home since they had the gem. Calling to her team, she begins moving them out of this bizarre world. Staying to fight while entertaining would serve no purpose. Farrah and Morpheus are the last to approach the disk when they are attacked by surprise. The surviving members of the Zoo Crew join together in one last all out assault. Rather than risk her team any further, Farrah concentrates and the stepping disk to limbo flares star bright teleporting the MoE team to limbo and Ororo's Garden.

Darkchilde: "Don't concern yourselves, my friends. Morpheus and I will be along as soon as we take out the rest of this trash!"

Their last sight of Farrah is of her holding her soul sword high, both it and she cracklingwith arcane power.

The team arrives in Ororo's garden, outside of the cabana that she calls home. The lush vegetation that surrounds the place is incredibly beautiful and flowers of all descriptions and types blossom everywhere.

They find Ororo, sitting along a long pool and apparently meditating. She looks very tired as if she has been overworked lately.
 
:: Euthalia looked around slowly as her and the rest of the team were teleported through the stepping discs into Ororo's garden. It was her second time coming here and last time she had seen Ororo she didn't look overworked at all. She looked over to the rest of the team and whispered trying not to disturb her meditation. ::

"Umm. . . do we just wait here? Or what?"
 
:: Being transported by Darkchilde through the stepping disk Riana tried her best not to cry out when she saw that DC and Morpheus stayed behind in the other world, re-appearing in Ororo's garden she sees the older woman meditating by the pool she quietly walked towards her, placing a cool hand on her shoulder she kneeled down beside her ::

"Tell me what is troubling you.. I can tell you've been trough a lot while we were away... how can I help you my friend"

:: Smiling as Ororo looked up at her feeling worried as she saw just how extremly tired the other woman was ::
 
Ororo smiles wanly at Riana. The bags under her eyes showing just how tired she is.

"Thank the Goddess you've returned. I dont know how much longer my strength will last. Its been a terrible battle trying to keep Ikaris anchored to his body. Had it not been for Wyatt feeding power to both Ikaris and I, I believe that I would have failed. Let me see the gem, child. And where is Farrah?"

Riana opens the box to reveal the gem, allowing Ororo to get a good look at it.

"I dont feel any part of Ikaris' essence in this gem. It may be that it is not the one we seek or it could simply be that I am too exhausted at the moment. We must prepare for a worst case scenario. I have located another of the gems, this one have been transported to the past. Would your group be willing to travel back in time to retrieve it? I have enough stregnth to send you, but I would have to teach you the spell of return for I won't be strong enough to bring you back."
 
:: Listening to Ororo's answer to her being so tired Riana gave her an understanding look, showing her the gem she nodded as she said she didn't feel Ikaris' essence in it ::

"We had to leave Farrah and Morpheus behind, we had to escape quickly and they didn't make it trough the portal in time.. but knowing Farrah she will return to us soon"

:: As Ororo told them about traveling to the past Riana nodded once more ::

"I will go, if they others want to join me fine.. if not I will go alone, anything to bring Ikaris back to us..."
 
:: Gets transported on the discs with the others. He notices he is back in Ororo's garden again and looks at the worn Ororo herself. He walks up to her. ::

"Is there anything I can do? A spell, to restore your strength?"

:: He listens to Ororo and Riana and motions to Riana ::

"I will accompany you all the way, you can't go on your own anyway...what if something happens? You'll need backup."
 
:: Placing a cool hands on Tobies arms she smiled warmly at him ::

"Thank you my friend, it means alot knowing you will acompany me on this" :)

:: Turning to Ororo again she got a serious look on her face, waving her hand sher restored the woman's health completly taking away the pain and extreem tiredness she felt in her body ::

"Tell us what we have to do to retrieve the other gem and about this spell to get us back to the precent time"
 
OOC: Ri, Ororo can't be restored to health that easily. She is feeding Ikaris energy and that is draining her. You would have to feed her that same amount of energy, depleting yourself. And not even thinkng to check on Ikaris, some friends, lol. ;)

BIC:

Ororo is partially rejuvenated by Riana's magick, some of her vitality shines in her eyes once again, though Ororo knows that her respite will be short lived. Taking Riana aside, she teaches her the spell to return to her present time frame. The words are old and several sigils would be traced in the air to complete the spell but Riana manages to get everything committed to memory.

:: Watching Ororo closely as she teached her the ancient spell Riana took in everything she needed for this new journey ::

"Thank you my friend, I want to check on Ikaris before I go will you lead me to him so I can see him for a bit?"
 
Ororo escorts Riana into the cabana that she calls home. Due to its mystical nature, the buildingis easily three times as large inside as it is outside. As they near one of the doorways leading to a guest room. She gestures for Riana to remain quiet as she opens the door.

The room is darkened for the most part, a small lamp burning in the corner provides the majority of the illumination. Riana sees Ikaris laying unconscious on the bed, his features slack. Wyatt sits next to him, holding his hand. A faint aura of light surrounds both of them as Wyatt pours energy into Ikaris, trying to revive him. As tired as Ororo looked, Wyatt appears much worse, he appears to be wasting away before their eyes. For a brief second as Riana is watching Wyatt, from the corner of her eye, it appears as if Ikaris is no longer there, but when she looks again, all is normal once more.
 
:: As Riana walks closer to Ikaris she feels tears appear in her eyes, sitting next to the bed she softly kisses his forehead, he feels cold and yet hot at the same time as she presses her lips to his skin ::

"We'll bring you back my friend.. I'll make sure of that"

:: Looking Wyatt in the eyes she softly smiled at him touching his hand she send some of her own power to him reviving him a bit ::

"I know you will watch over him.. tell me if there is anything you need and I will do it for you"
 
Wyatt nods to Riana then focuses again at his task. As Riana makes to leave the room, she once more experiences that touch of double vision, where Ikaris is gone and Wyatt sits alone in the room. It lasts only a moment but the vision if that is what this was is enough to chill her to her bones.

Outside the room, Ororo waits to escort her back to the garden. Each of the women remains silent during the walk back, lost in her own thoughts. Once back in the gardens, Ororo begins to speak.

"Child, you should gather your allies together. You will need to go soon. I wish that the others had returned with the gem they had been sent to find, perhaps that one would have been the one we seek, and you would not have to make this journey, but evidently it was not what the Goddess decreed."

Ororo moves to one side of her garden and begins to cast the spell to transport them to their next destination. A portal forms in front of her, swirling with dark blue and silver energies. A slight pull can be felt from the void. The group stands ready before the portal, Riana looking back to smile encouragingly at the mutant sorceress before stepping forward and into the portal.

There is a feeling of falling that seems to go on forever before they step from the other side of the gate. They find themselves in a wooded clearing, most dizzy and nauseaus from the spell. The air is crisp and clean, like nothing they have known before. As they recover from the effects of the spell, they hear a noise from overhead and look up in time to see a flying vehicle zoom by.


OOC:Two things that I need to give you a heads up on, the first is that I may or may not be able to post for the next couple of days. We are ex-pecting a bad winter storm in my area and I may not have power. The second thing is that people are needing to get their butts in gear with their posting. There are only two members of this team who are excused and those are DC and Morpheus. Everyone else needs to be posting on a daily basis or to send me a pm with the reason they are unable. Bad things will be happening to those who dont bother. Riana and Tobias should not have to carry the Quest on their own. End of sermon, have a nice day! ;)
 
:: As the vision of Ikaris disappearing hit her the first time Riana felt worried, now that it happend again she knew they would have to hurry, Ikaris was running out of time.. and fast, turning to Ororo she nodded that she was ready to leave, following her back to the garden she was quiet as was Ororo the both of them lost in their own toughts ::

We'll get you back Ike.. one way or another we'll get you back

:: As Ororo began to cast the transportation spell Riana looked at the other members in the group, telling them to be ready, watching each of them pick up their weapons and personal belongings they step trough the portal, it's power making all of them extremly dizzy and nauseauted, looking around the clearing she spoke to the others ::

"We better get out of this clearing before we are spotted by the people here... since this is the past we're more then likely to look very different then they do"

:: Looking up as a vehicle flew over their heads she raised an eyebrow ::

"What the hell..."
 
:: Tobias followed Rian through the gate and is disgusted as he took a deep breath. ::

"Yuk...where's the smell of carbon dioxide, and all those horrible gases that we love huh? I mean this is why I hate going to the countyside, how vile is this clean air?"

:: He forms a fireball in his hand and smells the fumes coming from it. He then makes it disappear. ::

"Ah...that's better..."

:: He then notices a vehicle. ::

"What in el Diablo's name? I thought we were supposed to be going into the past Riana?"
 
The group decides to see if they can spot where the vehicle is headed, perhaps it would give them some sort of clue as to their whereabouts. Tobias levitates to the top of the trees and nearly falls from the sight he is faced with.

In the distance stands an enormous city, completely domed to protect it from the elements. From what he is able to make out, the size of the city would easily rival the largest mortal city. Flying vehicles dart towards and away from the city, attending to whatever business they might have their. Somethign about the layout of the place seems familiar to Toby but he is unable to place it at least for now.
 
:: As Toby comes down and tells her what he has seen Riana nods, she was suspecting they had been send to the future instead of the past but something inside of her tells her that they are in the right spot and this isn't a mistake made by Ororo ::

"We'll have to figure out what year this is and dress so we will fit in"

:: Waving her hand her outfit changed to a black leather catsuit, the matching black knee high boots made the outfit complete, her hair hanging loosely around her face gave her a softer look ::

"Be careful people try to blend in as much as possible"
 
:: Tobias decides to levitate to the top of the trees and is shocked by what he sees. There seems to be some kinda of de ja vu about it, but he can't place it. He levitates back down, racking his brains as he does so. As he reports back to Riana, he feels as though he was about to remember but he looses it again. He then copies what Riana does and waves his hand over his body as his clothes suddenley disappear to be replaced by combats, a t-shirt and a long black leather coat. ::
 
OOC: For those who have not been posting in the quest as you are supposed to, I will be eliminating you, one by one. I will also be imposing a 500 point fine to each of you for inconveniencing everyone else. You can't say you weren't warned.

BIC:

Deciding to try the city as a possible starting point, they begin making their way towards it. After travelling for an hour or so, they come to a stream in the forest and take a break for a couple of minutes.
Dragnolias bends to drink from the stream, reaching his hand into the crystal waters. He pulls his hand back, screaming in pain. At least 5 dark blue leech like creatures are attatched to his hand and begin burrowing into his hand. His screams warn the others who turn to see Drag flailing his hand. His motions cause him to overbalance and he falls into the stream. Covered now with the leeches, Drag tries helplessly to scrape the creatures off him. As the things burrow deeper, his comrades see them moving underneath Drag's skin moving incredibly rapidly towards his torso. Drag collapses on the bank of the stream, his skin turning blue as the leeches venom works on his body. In seconds he breathes no more. Several of the leeches burst from Drag's lifeless body, swollen with stolen blood, almost seemingly searching for another victim.
 
OOC: O lordy.. *cracks up* Ok people before anyone else dies and they will.. you see what happend to poor old Drag here ;)

:: Watching in horror as Drag was eaten by the leeches she tries to save them almost getting attacked by the leeches herself, placing a hand over her mouth she muffeld a scream in dispair, turning to the others she took a deep breath ::

"We'll have to move on.. and next time let me check if the water is safe before ANYONE tries to drink from it.."

:: Motioning them to walk on they head for the city on their guard for anything that they can encounter on their journey ::
 
:: Tobias sees poor Drag getting mauled by leeches and he was compelled to do something. But it was too late, he was gone even before he fell into the water... He listens to Riana carefully and nods. He then follows her and the rest of the group to the city. ::
