:: Desire stood abruptly when she saw a drunk sticking his toungue down Amy's throat. Her aura suddenly turned black as her heart and she stopped herself before attacking. She thought again and made her way towards Amy and the students. Her aura glowed a slight red as she approached. She began manipulating them slowly, and the drunk moved away from Amy. Desire made them feel distracted and vulnerable, but joyful. She slipped into a chair and smiled. ::

"You boys need refills on your drinks?"

:: She motioned towards a waitress for another round. She leaned back and asked softly ::

"Do you boys happen to know anything about Loki?"

:: Desire looked quite seductive and she herself knew she would do anything for information. ::

*She fought off an urge to completely cripple the annoying students as they touched and grabbed at her, and then finally had enough after one student decided to play doctor. She looked up at Desire thankfully as she came over and toned them down. She intruded the men's minds and made them less defensive and a little less sober so they could understand the questions. She winked at Desire and then looked at the overgrown pigs again, her words lulling them in with the siren voice she'd copied from Enchantrah.*

"Other than his nasty little tricks he likes to play, now there's a man for ya girl."

::Ti sat down silently at the table in the darkest corner as her group filed in... she nastily mocked Rama and his "dont go getting us all smited" in a whiney and girlish voice that clearly was meant to be offensive... she watched as the others began to fan out, prodding the locals gently into providing answers... Ti was never good at the gently part... she stayed where she was-- she knew if she got answers-- and she would GET answers-- she'd be beating it out of everyone. She listened to what everyone was saying, manipulating her comrades' voices to be whispers in her ears, while the local's voices were loud and clear. Her mind was quickly calculating and processing... so Loki was behind it eh? A Norse god... of evil and mischief... sounded kinda sexy if you really wanted the truth... but Christy locked that thought to herself-- not even the strongest telepath would've heard it... She figured that they wouldn't get too much info from the people in here... if someone had some shiny new magickal gems, would they REALLY be spreading the word??::

:: Brenthon collectively read the thoughts of the Drunken warriors as they tried to comprehend the questions the team were asking them. Brenthon gathered a general consensus that if there was something going awry, then The God of Mischeif, Loki was usually behind it. He turned to the group and began speaking to them ::

"Ok.. I say we have spent enough time here. It smells like piss, the guys are all drunk, there is not a pretty woman in sight, lest our MoE women here, and I think we have a lead, I know my girl Ti won't have a problem going after a God, but the question is will the rest of you? Gods are no joke, and if you have any doubts, express them now, because if you don't, you should all know by now that I will be able to tell.."

:: He winked and he began thinking. Maybe he should enlist in the help of the Valkyries. If he explained who he was, they might take pity on him, since the mother of his child, Danielle Moonstar, died in their care, and help them find these Soul Gems or whatever they were called. It was an option, but he just didn't know what to do. This was a hard place for him to be in. ::

"Well, we ready to pack up and head on out?"

*She heard Brenthon speak and turned around, looking at him as she listened to his words. She nodded her head and looked back at Desire, motioning with her head for them to go. She stood up and excused herself from the pigs and walked back over to the group's corner, glamouring back into herself under the shadows. She looked up at him and grinned.*

"Hey, I took on Belasco, a girl needs to have some goals and a God sounds like a good step. Count me in."

:: She watched, eyebrows raised a little, as Amy had a close encounter of her own kind with one of the drunken louts. At the same time, she took in the appearances of the beings around them... noting that they were rather larger than even the MoE men, they were especially bigger than Sati, who was smaller even than most of her comrades - in physical sides only. Subtly, and keeping an eye out that none of the "locals" noticed, she sized herself up a little; not enough to attract unwanted attention, just enough so that she might blend in a little better. ::

:: As Brenthon spoke about leaving, she watched him with the hint of a smirk, shaking her head almost imperceptibly. Whatever people wanted to call her - and she had been called many things in her time - Sati was just the opposite of a coward. She was not afraid to take absolutely anyone on ::

"Agreed - we're not going to get anything good out of this place. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not afraid of taking on a god."

:: Her violet eyes twinkling with amusement, she grinned at Amy, remembering her own encounters with Belasco ::

"Sounds like fun."

Leaving the tavern quickly, they follow the generalized directions and begin to cross the city after managing to steal some cloaks to hide their outland clothes, trying to blend in.

During the several hours that it takes to cross the city and find Loki's home, most wish they could fly openly or at least transport themselves, butrealize that they might not want to draw any more attention to themselves.

Eventually they find Loki's home, a tall and forboding building of dark stone. Various gargoyles decorate the building, giving it a sinister look.

:: As the group leaves, Kurama looks around and heads in the direction of Loki's house of residence. Rama arrives with the group finally at a stone building, reminding him a lot of Belasco's palace. Kurama looks for the door and smirks at the group ::

"Well lets not just stand here, lets knock!"

:: Kurama pulls back his hand and flings it foreward sending a telekinetic bomb blast, to knock on the big stone door ::

"HEELLLLOOOO ANNNY OOONNNE HOOMEEE?"

::Ti makes the weary trip without a word, seemingly unaffected by the lengthy measures they crossed... they all look up at Loki's home... Ti is nothing more than a chilling black shape, wearing a stolen hooded cloak, her face shrouded in darkness and the cloak slightly oversized, hiding her features... her comrades do not see her expression as Kurama flings his hand forward... she is standing almost directly behind her, and can't see her movement as she throws up her own hand to halt his bomb blast before it hits the door and then lunges at him, clamping her other hand tightly around his mouth to silence him... her voice is a quieted hiss as she speaks only loud enough for Rama and the closer people to hear...::

"Shut up you fool! Are you TRYING to get us killed? The best thing we HAVE is the element of surprise... you think the God will just hand that gem over if we ask for it??"

::Her hand still tightly clenched on his jaw, she looks around... her face is still hidden... creepily, all that is to be seen of her features are the luminescent red eyes... her voice is low and slightly gravelly as she speaks loud enough now for the rest to hear::

"We need to find another way in... we need to ambush him with tact... we NEED to catch him off his guard... or better YET... we need to use a little slight of hand and acquire the gem right under his nose!"

:: Brenthon was glad that Christy had stopped Kurama's telekinetic bomb blast because it could have started a lot of trouble. He didn't want hordes of Loki's minions on them after mere seconds of reaching his abode. Listening to Christy, he tried to think of a plan that would incorporate all of these things, but he wasn't seeing a way to do it ::

"I don't know how we could do it and not get caught.. I would think he has a way of protecting his place, or at least detecting the forms of visitors... My guess is, he already knows we are here, but it is still best to go in here all covert opps style.. Let's think..."

:: Brenthon surveyed the tower, wondering if there was any way to get in without being noticed, maybe the moat, if there was one, was there a back entrance? It all seemed hopeless as if they were lost. Sure they could go in there and just blast the place to pieces, he and Christy would have no problem with it, but they were with others who had not had the same experiences and going in together would be inevitable suicide, and Brenthon was not going to die in the same place as his fiance, if anything he would get this gem in honor of her. ::

"So any ideas yet? I could project an invisible astral form around the quarters to see where the best point of entry is and let you all know? How about that?"

:: Now he was just searching for some way to get in ::

:: Sati nodded alongside Brenthon, relieved that Christy had stoped Rama's telekinetic bomb blast before it had gone too far. In a futile attempt to keep themselves off Loki's radar, she lasped into mind speak, projecting her thoughts to everyone else ::

All: To be quite hoenst, I'd be surprised if he wasn't already aware that we're here... still, in answer to Brenthon's suggestion.... I could send two of myself inside or around the outside, camoflauged, and if all else fails; I can take the form of some sort of servant; whatever is appropriate. If you think that wouldn't jeopardise our operation, I'm willing to let me clone and astral take the chance.

:: She paused, waiting to hear their responses. If nothing else, Sati was a master at keeping herself hidden... unless, of cause, the person doing the looking could be fooled by nothing ::

:: Brenthon nodded to himself. Sati would definitely be the best person to put in this situation. She was the Metamorph and metamorphs were masters of covert missions and espionage. Her powers were designed to get into places that others could not. He turned to Sati and smiled at her ::

"I vote for Sati, she is the Metamorph, she is physically and magickally designed for this kind of stuff.. She can get in undetected if need be and will prove most useful..."

:: He hoped that the others would listen to Brenthon because he really just wanted to get in and out of this place as fast as he could. Asgard gave him the heeby jeebies. He soon became irritated by the lack of response he heard from the others ::

"Look, we don't have time to waste here, Sati, go ahead.. I'll open a Mind Link that will act some what of a walkie talkie, so that we will be able to hear you. Meanwhile, we need to stay hidden, anyone have any ideas about that?"

:: He began looking for a place at which they would be able to be protected, as he pondered the thought, Brenthon shoved Sati at the castle and wished her well as he opened the Mind Link. It was up to her ::

Sati works her way towards Loki's dwelling, using her powers to remain undetected. She finds a side entrance to the building unlocked. Warily, she sneaks inside, trying to remain unnoticed.

After roughly twenty minutes, Brenthon feels a jolt of surprise through the mind link, then nothing else. Its like the mind link was erased or Sati had fallen asleep. Alarm spreads through him and he quickly relates what he felt to the others. Before they make their move to storm the building, they hear Sati's voice calling from an upper window.

Sati: "The place is empty! There's no one here except me. I think I may have found what we are looking for, get up here. I unlocked the front door. Come on!"

Sati disappears inside the window as everyone makes their way quickly to the front door. The door opens and they see Sati gesturing them inside.

Once everyone moves into the building, Sati shuts the door and takes a torch from a bracket nearby. She hurries up the stairs, leading the way.

Sati:"This way!"

At the top of the stairs, they enter a large room, the one that Sati had been calling to them from. Crumpled in the corner of the room, lies Sati, her body wreathed in some sort of mist, lightly snoring. They turn to find the God of Evil, holding the torch with a smirk on his face.

Loki: "What, you were expecting someone else?"

*She listened to all the suggestions and smiled at Sati, nodding her approval for her to go in. She watched the others and waited till they were let in. Shocked a bit as Brenthon began to tell them of the link snap, she rushed inside with the others, seeing Sati up at the window, waiting for them. As they made their way up the stairs, she paused for a moment. Brenthon had said something had happened to the mind link, he was a far better telepath than anyone in the group, and if something cut him off from Sati...then what they saw in the window was definently not their friend. They walk through the door and into the large room, looking around as she hears faint snoring noises from a corner, spotting Sati. Immediately alarmed, she looks over her shoulder as the torch bearer had already turned back into his trickster form.*

"Anyone else with some bright ideas for him?"

:: Brenthon had confidence in Sati's abilities but he was still dreadfully worried. He hoped that she could get in and out quickly, but he was counting on Loki not knowing that they were already there, which he wasn't sure of. All of a sudden, there was a powerful jolt within their Mind Link, and then nothing, it was if, she was unconscious or asleep. It extremely worried him, but before he knew it, Sati was calling down for him from one of the windows, which made him EXTREMELY unsettled, but relieved to see her ::

"This is quite odd.."

:: He looked to Melody and expressed some kind of concerns, but apparantely she didn't hear them as they visciously ran after Sati unlocked the doors for them. Brenthon followed slowly behind the others as they rushed ahead him, without another gasp, he was pulled into a full on astral premonition, he was in another room of the castle, that much he could tell, and he saw himself and the others in the room, Sati crumpled on the ground, and the group facing Loki. A fear of panic and fear ran through Brenthon's body as he sped up the stairs and tried to find his team members ::

"NO! No! Don't follow that! It's not Sati! It's! It's.. Lo...!"

:: Brenthon was too late. By the time he had gotten there, they were standing before the God Mischief himself, tall, large and in charge. The Gypsy somewhat gulped and laughed. ::

"Ki... Loki...Uh.. hiya Loki.."

:: He sent a telepathic message to the rest of the group ::

"Just a note, the next time my body shakes, my eyes close and get all out of breath, you MIGHT want to wait for me..."

Loki bows deeply to Brenthon, smiling cruelly.

Loki;"Well, if its not the Gypsy come lately. Finally decided to join the party? And you know me, what a nice surprise. I was afraid that I had been forgotten in the mortal realms. Its nice to know that one's reputation preceeds one. Since you are slightly familiar with me by reputation, you can convince your friends that they have no chance of getting the gem from me. Its mine and I intend to keep it, so the lot of you might as well leave now. Before you go Gypsy perhaps you will be able to answer a question for me that has me slightly puzzled. Why is it a human Gypsy reeks of Asgardian Magic and Woman's Magic at that?"

::Though she has an apprehensive feeling about allowing Sati to go... she agrees to it, in the interest that it might get them closer to their goal... though she is apprehensive about following the suddenly chipper and loud Sati into the castle... her group goes ahead, excited to be getting in, and she must follow, if only to protect her charges, for they press on to quickly for her to call a stop...::

::she is not surprised when they reach their destination... to find Sati slumped to the floor and Loki with a cunning smirk... still shrouded in the cloak and its hood, her glowing red eyes [think the promotional image for 28 Days Later, only red. if anything good comes of that movie, it is that they chose excellent promotional artwork for it :p] flicker to Sati, then to Loki... her group once again parts for her, she moves to the front once more, making progress even as her situation AND her tactic was comprimised... she is formulating a plan and developing a safety net for them all...::

::At first, all Loki can see is the dark figure with red eyes penetrating the shadows of its hood, moving forward with a regal, powerful tone... the height makes him assume it is a man-- especially since Asgard is so male dominant. When the alluring, almost intoxicating tone of a woman rings out, he is slightly taken aback...::

"My apologies for gaining access to your home by snipe methods... we were unsure about how we would be recieved-- as so far... we haven't been having the best day."

::Ti removes her hood, and completely sheds the cloak... to reveal a pin-striped black pleated skirt, that dropped to about mid-thigh, a crisp button-up, made of a thin fabric, and so white that her black lace bra could be seen through it. With the sleeves rolled to just under her elbows, the shirt all the way buttoned, and a playful black silk tie fixed loosely around the collar... giving her a naughty school-girl look... Her lips parted slightly, a gentle sigh emitting from her lungs... Her eye make-up is dark and sultry looking, a perfect accent on her metallic-tinted blue eyes... her lips shine, tainted with a peach color... and she's playing major sex appeal. Not a straight male, God or mortal, within eyesight would have enough wits about him to look away...as Brenthon stumbles in, she slowly turns around to look at him, making eye contact, but not risking a telepath message... she hoped he would catch on. She would sacrifice her own safety, to create an opening for her team...::

"We are not enemies, you and i, Loki. Forget the gem... it is the original reason we came... but the long walk here has given me much time to develop plans that could be even BETTER than a lousy gem... We could make a devastating alliance... You are the God of Evil... I am a Dire Wraith of Evil. Come, walk with me... the plans i have for the two of us are far above most of the heads here..."

::She had locked her attention back to Loki, and by the time she finished speaking, was begining to lean against Loki, her voice lowering to a whisper.::

::Seeing how everybody were leaving, Devon thought parhaps he should just leave such mind manipulation to the more adept people and follow on till his abilities were needed. Sending an emphatic power across to the guy, Devon made him suddenly feel very sad while leaving the tavern together with the others. Following the group, they treked across Asgard, and after a tiring journey which could have been easier if powers were used, they arrived at what appeared to be Loki's abode. Devon watched in silence, shaking his head as Rama attempted to blast the door down, and then watching as they think of sneaking while wanting at first to offer trasforming into a bird to survey the area, but later noticed Sati as a Metamorph would be more useful. So he simply watches on as the group proceeded on, and with what appeared to be Sati's voice, they went in::

That is so SO doubtful...

::Nontheless, Devon knew it was not his place to speak, and so he merely goes through the door with the others while keeping himself prepared if the need arises. Devon knew with an ancient Gypsy and a demonic wriath with them, there should be little he need to worry in a confromtation. Devon so far was feeling slightly disappointed to a certain extent that he hadn't been of any use yet. As the group went through, there stood Loki the God of mischief with Sati lying on the ground::

I'd like to say i knew it... But...

:: Devon then watched as Brenthon and CHristy attempted to talk things out with Loki. Devon however was rather sceptical at the prospects of Loki working with them. He attempted to communicate with Christy when she seem to wish to forge an alliance with Loki::

Uh Christy? What are you talking about? How can you hope for something like that? Surely Loki is not one to be worked with...

:: Devon said that out of concern. He knew Christy chould know better, and it definitely wasn't her to say something like that. Devon merely remained silent while watching what was going on. He'd just wait till there's a chance for some action to be kicked in::

EDIT: Edited because i completely misread Ti's post...

:: The words cut through Brenthon like a knife but he did not show his anger in words, he simply let his painful and angry emotions grow and be absorbed into the essence that constantly surrounded his body, the essence of the Crimson Gem of Atlas. His body grew in size and stature as he was now almost towering at 8"5', his body much more toned, and muscular. He completely understood what was going on with Titania, and it was a convincing performance. She made him proud. Christy would provide room for them to get the gem right out from under them, but Brenthon still couldn't control his anger, hence the increase in strength, size and stature. ::

"You know, Loki, she was the woman who nearly KILLED the Gods of this realm and fought off death countless times! DANIELLE MOONSTAR!"

:: Brenthon was ready to sprawl and attack, but he remembered that they had a plan to put into action and he would gain his revenge on the God long after this situation was taken care of. He just needed to focus long enough to get the gem, and maybe a shot now and then, Brenthon put on a show for the God to show his support as he psionically altered the emotions of all in the group to become extremely sad and shocked at Christy's comments, Brenthon's face fakely scrunched with anguish ::

"Christy! What are you doing? I know you want to get back to your old position but NOW is NOT the time to do it! PLEASE! Think about this, don't let abjurate pride get in the way!"

:: He hoped others true feelings would shine through as they would soon express their voice of concern on Christy's "actions" ::

Loki listens to Ti's spiel letting her go on for a while. When she gives him the come hither looks and invites him to go for a walk, he finally loses control and bursts out laughing, tears running down his cheeks.

"By the Ones Who Sit Above, woman, you are delightful, though if Amora, the Enchantress of Men and Gods can't seduce me, you really dont stand much chance of doing it. It was a fine effort though wasted. Keep trying."

He pats Ti on the head as one would do with a precocious child and turns his attention to Brenthon.

"Why is that name familiar? Ah, yes. The mutant Valkyrie. I remember her now. Pretty thing for a mortal, but certainly not milady Ororo. Now she is someone worthy of becoming a God. Whatever happened to your little Valkyrie? Sitting at home, minding the children?"

Loki has chosen his words with great care wanting to drive both Ti and Brenthon over the edge with rage. Here in his home, he sits atop his center of power and none of the group can match him for power. His godly stregnth will protect him from physical attacks long enough for his plan to work, he is sure.
