I wept at the trailer

For realz. Water at the corner of my eyes. I heard talk about this movie for a while and then heard nothing. I figured it was dead. Then behold a trailer dropped for it today and I watched it and felt friggin tears welling in my eyes. I have no explanation for it. Other than for as long as I can remember I have known this franchise. I try to turn everyone onto it and none seem to like it.. but screw them. Phantasm V is coming and I am like... oddly emotional over it.

Well, Angus recently passed. This was his last movie. It was supposed to have been released years ago but with JJ Abrams restoring and talking about his love for the movie it renewed interesting in this one. It's going to be released digitally on the second, I believe, and then in limited theaters.

The trailer really reminds me of the second one, which was one of my favorites.

They have big "festivals" for it and everything else. It's got a really big cult following.
