<< darkness gives way to light........that steely blue cobalt lighting....Black widow and Prophet awaken to aching muscles..find themselves forcibly restrained by the state of the art energy restraints which suspended them inside a cylindrical field..and in Prophet's case white noise generators orbiting around him...blocking his ability to manifest any psychic feat.. their armour and weapons were stripped away..leaving them in their under garments only and the battle scares from their previous trevails in the citadle>>

<< the room was wide......spacious....yet still dimly light...a soft hum of power...and a faint echo in the air.....were all that they had for impressions of their surroundings for there was no telling how far down in the citadle they were now. the floor glowed with fiberoptic accents......and soon, the sound of rushing water was heard, as Imagiomg appeared in view in front of them>>

Imagiomg: you are now under the power of MysTech.....be thankfull you have your lives, rabble.

<< the other worldly, haunting mage glided forward....his eyes glowing with energy as he glared upon both of them>>

« As Cameron watched the Demon Mage shake off both Haleigh and his own attacks, which he figured might happen, the Telepath soon found himself bombarded with a blast of black lightning. He watched as the lightning threw him back and destroyed his armour leaving him only in his white cotton brief. He began to convulse as his body flopped up and down on the floor, his sweaty chest rising up and down and his eyes rolling in the back of his head as he shook and rolled across the floor. In his mind it was like he could see the lightning eating his power, his energy, his psyche. The pain was worse than Cameron had ever felt in his life and before he knew it, he was completely unconscious. Though his journey didn't end there. As a defense mechanism, Cameron's astral form was teleported to the Astral Plane. His body, though still battered and bruised felt slightly better as when he was in the Plane his healing rate was always much faster. He began to look around at the permanent blackness that had now surrounded him. The Mage's powers must have been strong because the Plane never looked this way. It was always colorful and seemingly powerful. Now the Astral Plane seemed dead. Having access to his most basic of powers, he used his sight to see if Haleigh was alright but he couldn't even pick up on her. He was too weak. For now, Cameron had to rest. All of a sudden, Cameron's body was pulled back into his body by a burst of pain. It was if Cameron's entire mind was going through his memories. »

He saw the beginning of his life, the hospital, being in a room. Cameron was instinctively scared and didn't know what was going on. Before long he heard some kind of screaming coming from some woman in the other room from what he could tell. Soon the woman looked over him and he knew this was his mother. For whatever reason he just knew. Only she had far from a motherly look. Her face was filled with disgust and discontempt. She looked at some doctor and continued to snipe, looking at Cameron once more she commented. "This is a boy! I'm not supposed to have a boy Dr. Sanders! I am supposed to have a girl!I have two girls! I need one MORE! That is the only way! You know very WELL my line of work, and I CANNOT and WILL not be burdoned by a USELESS child! You get rid of him and you get rid of him NOW!" With that the woman squinted her eyes as the doors flew open ripping them from their bolts as she stormed out of the room. The memory was painful, and it seemed as if Cameron was frozen in it. He couldn't move. Everything was at a stand still. The pain was overwhelming for now not only did he feel the physical and mental pain of black lightning but the heartbreak of a ruthless mother who cared more about her power than himself. Feeling as if he had lost, Cameron lost himself in the pain as everything turned to black. Cameron was completely unconscious, almost in a coma like state.

« What seemed like hours had passed before Cameron's eyes began to flutter as they opened to see that he was no longer near the hangar dock, but in some different part of the Citadle. He tried to move but his aching muscles prevented the feat. He was so drained. He noticed it was if Haleigh and himself had been shackled to some mideival type of dungeon. He looked at Hales. She wasn't up yet. The room was so dark as all of a sudden he heard the rush of water, a sign that had previously warned him of the Demon Mage's arrival. Cameron's muscles tightened as he waited for what happened next. Soon Imagiomg. He did everything he could not to stare at the man, or whatever he was. He didn't know what other powers the Mage had and he didn't want to test them out. He pondered his words. The power of Mystech? Were they going to be used against Spellbinder and the others? He couldn't think much more than that.. thinking hurt and he didn't need any extra pain as the entire ordeal had left a great strain on his body as he looked at the large gash on his chest from the Shadow Demons earlier. Although it was closed up, he saw a line of blood began to drip from his scar. What was going on? »

Undisclosed Location -- Waking Up: Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh lays back on the cold stone floor.... its kind of soothing to the aches and pains in her back and sides... she pulls at her restraints... they are tight around her wrists... she cant wriggle free.... and struggling makes the rope cut into her skin painfully. she rolls over... allow the stone to soothe her other side... and though she cant even see her hands two inches from her face... she is now facing the doorway of of the room... she wished she had some light... she could evalute her holding cell and the health of her team... ironically... as she thought this... the door a few feet away opened... and light fell across Haleigh's body... BLINDINGLY bright.... she shuts her eyes and looked away... the sudden flash of white had been incredibly painful and she was reeling. she rolled a few feet back, covering her eyes with her hands, as two men entered and took one of Haleigh's men out of the room for questioning. Blackness fell back upon them... but Haleigh was seeing spots and little shapes of light and color... something like when you look at the sun suddenly.... what a wakeup call... it had served well in paralyzing and shocking the captives... now everyone was reeling and at the moment the men had come in... no one had been able to fight back. it was called Sensory Deprivation... and it was only the beginning.

Back in the Citadle.... Haleigh's conscious began to stir... and as she came to... the area started to warm up to compensate for the warmth Haleigh's suit had provided...Haleigh tilted her head back, letting her hair fall off her face as her sensations began to come back to her... and with her sight and other senses... also came the aches and pains of the battle.

"Ungh.... ohhh.... FUCK meh....."

Haleigh groaned quietly. She felt as though she'd recently been in an intensive full body work out... her body complained that she'd worked it too hard... under normal circumstances.... Haleigh liked feeling sore.... she'd be stronger in a few days... as Haleigh opened her eyes... she didn't think she'd live to see the stronger days. She slowly looked around... She pulled on her restraints as forcefully as her aching body would allow.... which only made her wrists burn intensely. She looked down at her body psattered in some places with specks of blood, cut and bleeding slowly in others... and noticed she was in her undergarments... and she caught sight of Cameron next to her... also in her underwear.

"Well this is interesting enough. Nice briefs..."

There wasnt much to indicate where exactly they were... the hum of machines... maybe a lab? and medical room? it was dark... they could very well be in the deepest part of the citadle... perhaps the biolabs... which is where the initial power outage would have occured.... power here would still be recovering...Haleigh wondered how likely and escape could be exectued as Im showed up... Haleigh tried to stare the mage down... as if she werent in shackles... she returned his glare with a malicious scowl of her own. She was rather peeved that she was here in her skivvies... That suit had cost her millions to design and produce... and as great as she looked in her undergarments...she was NOT happy with the current developments. The truth was that she KNEW how stacked things were against her and Cameron... but here she was.... still alive... and she wasn't going to allow Imagiomg the power of intimidation. There was no WAY she'd cower.

"I'm not thanking you for SHIT, ya ugly bastard. You know WHAT? You can take the Power of Mystech.... and stick it right up your ass." She smiled, almost as though she were drunk. "How do you like that?"

Entering Security Sub-Station: Alexis Quartermaine

:: Alexis continued to walk down the corridor towards what looked like another pair of glass doors leading into an office. Reaching the door, Alexis placed her hand on the silver handle, but stopped herself, looking into the room closely..... ::

"Jackpot.."

:: Whispered Alexis as she peered into what looked like a security sub-station, a normal feature in a large operation like the citadle. In the small box like room, were monitors on every wall with pictures of the different rooms, corridors, and offices on the level Alexis was currently on. Glancing from one monitor to another, some were snow filled...inoperative, and useless to her in this situation. But others were of great help. She saw Alison and Eva in the office down the hall snooping through papers, she noticed some humans infected with the TO virus in another section of this level, and other interesting images as the cameras panned around. Shifting her eyes downward, she saw what used to be a security office laying on the ground in a pool of his own blood. But something was odd about this dead person. His head was clearly cut off, but it was placed in an upright position facing the monitors, on a swivel chair next to the corpse. It almost seemed as if whoever killed this man, left his head to "watch" the monitors in a jokingly like manor.... ::

:: Nevertheless, Alexis turned the silver handle and tugged the door open only to be bombarded by the smell of death. Coughing, trying to breath in untainted air before she walked into the room, Alexis' senses began to get used to the smell as she soon stepped into the small office. Gently stepping around the corpse, her crimson boots squished into the blood that filled the office floor....Glancing from one monitor to the next, once again, she tried to find anything that looked like it would lead Alexis to her father. Sighing, nothing seemed to catch her eye....but soon, something did get Alexis' attention. ::

"WHOA.."

:: Jumping, startled from the noise, Alexis turned around quickly, hearing a squeaking sound, like a door opening, from behind her. Immediately her eyes went to the door that she entered the room in, but it was locked tight. Confused, Alexis stepped forward looking around the tiny dark room, until she noticed a small light emitting from the corner of the room. Slowly walking towards the light, it was in fact a door. The nob and outline of the door only hiding in the shadows, making it impossible for Alexis to notice it before....::

:: Placing her finger tips on the door, she gently pushed it open, peering through the growing gap into the other room. The squeaking continued to grow until the door was completely ajar, allowing Alexis to finally see what was in the other room. Flickering lights illuminated the "room", showing it was yet another hallway matching that of the one Alexis was just in. Biting her bottom lip, Alexis turned back towards the monitors contimplating whether she should take this lead and go down the hall, when something stopped her.....peering towards one of the working monitors, something rather strange caught her attention....::

4th floor

<< as Spellbinder rounded the corner madly...she saw , far down the all....a room from which a dark energy eminated...she recognized the power signature from years ago..when Black first attacked her in her penthouse in London>>

THERE!

<< she flew down the hall...so quickly and in a panicked state that she almost charged past the doorway...immediatlely rushing inside...she found Black standing over Foxfire....the massive hulking creature reeked of depraved evil and his cold aura immediately touched Spellbinder's skin with an unpleasant feeling.>>

<< Spellbinder gulped ....as she stood for what seemed an eternity.....he was back...he was alive....and she was alone...would she be able to stop him this time? she swore she would...or perish herself!>>

NO!! GET AWAY!

<< Spellbinder hefted a large mainframe computer, as she ripped from its foundation in the floor...causing a fury of sparks and sounds of surging electricity to fill the air.......Black, who had his massive fist raised...in order to pulp foxfire, turned around...his glowing white eyes fixed on the sorceress...who's violet eyes locked with his>>

you wont hurt her again!! i wont allow it!

<< she gritted her teeth and exhaled feriously as she hurled the large mainframe computer at Black...a hard impact is hard as the massive machine slams into Black dead center....causing him to fall back and skid across the room before hitting the wall so hard...the room and ceiling shook>>

<< without wasting time....Spellbinder rushes forward and scoops up Foxfire. with her super strength...carrying her sister is an easy task. she takes one last look at Black...who is struggling from the electricity and being hemmed against the wall...as he begins to push the mainframe off....and then, spellbinder rushes out of the room...lifting into the air and flying down the hall>>

I have to get out of here.......but where am i going to go!?

<< she can hear Black's roar of annoyance ...even as she distances herself from the room , flying quickly down the hall and rounding the corner..with her sister still in her arms>>

:: Narrowing her eyes at the one monitor that caught her attention, Alexis stepped away from the door and walked slowly to it. Her blue eyes widened as she saw Spellbinder fighting Black, this massively large creature. Alison and Morgan were right, he was enormous! Spellbinder flew down the hall and disappeared from the one monitor and appeared on another....her eyes followed as Spellbinder flew down the corridors trying to get away from Black. Obviously if she was in dire need to get away from him, he was as big and bad as Alison and Morgan hyped him up to be.....Alexis couldn't just stand around and do nothing. She was a bitch, but she wasn't THAT heartless. Reluctantly, Alexis turned away from the monitors and ran out the door of the security sub-station, and down the corridor. ::

"MORGAN!"

:: Screaming, she knew Morgan was in hearing range....Turning down the first corner, she continued to run until she saw Morgan round the corner, heading straight for her. Skidding to a stop, her boots slid on the white tile, making her slip, as she pivoted, and placed her hand on the ground preventing herself from falling. Without stopping, she pushed off with her hand and started to run in the direction she was coming from, with Spellbinder following behind her. ::

"Common! I know a way out!"

:: Yelling, if Morgan was smart, she would follow Alexis and not be her stubborn self and ignore her. Continuing to run down the long corridor, Alexis glanced behind her to make sure there weren't any signs of Black....wherever he may be, he wasn't dumb. He would be right behind them sooner or later, which ment, they needed to get to Eva and Alison, and get the hell off this level. ::

4th floor

<< Spellbinder charged down the corridor....her icy violet eyes seemed wide with desperation as she held her sister tightly........she turned her head...and was slightly startled as she saw Shockwave running towards them>>

<< she slowed down..so as not to collide with the meta human>>

Black is on this floor....and i dont have the power to stop him....we have to get out of here!!!

<< Shockwave was on the same mindset..informing Spell that she knew a way off this floor....she immediately followed as Alexis hauled ass down the hall...flying high up toward the ceiling so as to keep a clear view ahead>>

Alison and Eva....they must still be upstairs........the corridors are wider up there...we'll have more room for fighting!

:: Alexis heard Spellbinder but didn't bother to answer...she just continued to run down the hall towards the enterence of the corridor. Finally reaching it, she rounded the corner, almost colliding into the wall from the amount of speed from Alexis' sprint. Panting, her eyes were fixated on the security sub-station door ahead....she knew once they were in there, they at least had the monitors to help them locate Black, which in the end, would by them time and their lives. ::

"It's just ahead!"

:: Continuing to sprint, Alexis finally reached the door to the security sub-station, and ran inside the small room. Holding the door open for Spellbinder, she awaited her to enter before shutting it. Only slightly out of breath, Alexis was pretty athletic, therefore she didn't burn out very easily....but mainly, her adrenaline was pumping from the sheer fact that Black was only down the hall from the three woman. Alexis quickly pushed the red "Lock" button on the keypad next to the door, to seal the door shut. Obviously this wouldn't stop Black, but it could stall him for the time being. Turning around, Alexis looked at Spellbinder, then the woman in her arms....Foxfire. She was extremely beautiful, the pictures in the file she found earlier didn't do her justice. Stepping away from the door she just locked, Alexis walked up to the wall full of monitors and allowed her eyes to skim over each the monitors trying to locate Black. Soon her eyes fell upon the office in which Alison and Eva were still in. ::

"Alison and Eva are still in that office. We need to get to them and get off this floor before Black busts through that door."

:: Kicking the chair with the severed head out of her way, Alexis gestured to the door opposite of the one that they just entered....this door leading into the west corridor heading towards the office both Eva and Alison were in. ::

"Hopefully by now they found floor plans to this place."

:: Alexis turned and took one last survay of the monitors...Black seemed to be no where in site which was odd and very unsettling. All the more reason to get the hell out of there. Turning back around, she stood waiting, allowing Spellbinder, and an unconcious Foxfire, out the doorway and into the corridor first. Soon there after, Alexis followed suite. ::

** Foxfire rested slowly through the realm of unconsciousness, she was recovering especially her omega healing factor. Her skin coloring was becoming more tanned than her previous shade of pale. Various cuts and bruises were disappearing rapidly along her frail body. Although she was unconscious, somehow she felt safe unsure why. In reality it was her sister Spellbinder and Shockwave, their protection over her karma and soul helped assist her body in its natural healing both spiritually and physically. Blaze began to stir in Spellbinder's arms, she herself could feel her sister's weight shift. **

** Slowly but surely Blaze's piercing green eyes opened revealing a spark within them. Blinking her vision back she gasped to see her older half sister Spellbinder carrying her. She wrapped her arms around Morgan's neck for a better secure hold. She couldn't help but smile up at her sister. Her ears picked up a second pair of foot steps, glancing over to Shockwave. For a second, Blaze looked right through her soul, a chilling sight she often did whenever uncovering someone knew. Immediately she knew this was Adam's daughter, they had very similar features especially the eyes. This must have been Shockwave recalled Fox from the files she saw. The woman seemed protected of something or someone, many secrets lay behind those breathtaking eyes and Blaze sensed it. Looking away she called out to Morgan**

"You can put me down Spell, I'm able to run."

** Her voice sounded weak but it still contained that vibrant soft spokeness she always carried. A smirk ran over her lips to be reunited with her sister now, it had been too long! Morgan was just as she had remembered, strong and powerful like a bird of prey. Acknowledging Shockwave, she turned to greet her as well. **

"Shockwave I presume?"

** Blaze was willing to give this woman a chance, even if she was the daughter of a man she now detested along with her own father. Perhaps this woman shared the same feelings she did. Rubbing her forehead, Blaze began to get acquired with her surroundings. She felt her powers growing in strength, that vitality returning. **

"Where are we headed?"

Undisclosed Location: Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh was growing impatient... it didnt matter that it was DEATH that she was waiting for.... she could never wait very long for anything... and this Mage was tkaing his sweet time... and Haleigh couldn't stand it. She'd been pulling on her restraints until her wrists began to bleed... and then she gave it a rest. She was SOOO thirsty... and she had a headache that didnt just pound.... it THUNDERED through her head... it wasnt helping.

"So.... bonebag.... whats your MASTER plan here? I mean, you must have one... because otherwise you would have killed us when you had the chance. Unless you're SOFT... but then you would've just left us where we were.... SO I know and you know You have a plan... and if its all the same to you.... I'd like to GET ON WITH IT."

Haleigh looked over at Cameron... he looked as tired as she was... she could see he was in pain as well. She couldn't help but feel responsible... being held captive with Cameron hit home... she felt like Cameron was all the team she had...she remembered their pact... and then remembered James... and was worried that this would end up a repeat of five years ago. She didn't think she'd MENTALLY survive that... and she was ready to fight tooth and nail to avoid it.... It was strange what this encounter with Mystech had done to her... just Yesterday she'd been plotting to TAKE several lives... now she was trying like hell to SAVE the lives of people she'd just met... and countless lives of strangers in the city above.

Catacombs: the bio systems lab

Imagiomg: << gliding slowly across the floor....as he moved from one area to another...seemingly prepping a machin... Imagiomg at first ignored the retorts of Black Widow...as he considered both of them to be beneath him (and they were in many ways)

<< finally...at her last comment...he stopped what he was doing...and glided towards her...his large looming form filled her entire frontal visual range..as he was 9 ft tall...and his flowing robes seemed to suggest he had a massive body..dispite his skeletal hands..which glowed with extreme mystical power>>

Imagiomg: INSOLENT WENCH......you do not conceive the peril that you face....for as you so often do....you foolishly think that you will somehow gain the upper hand.

<< he takes Black Widow's face in his skeletal hand....the cold touch of evil washes over her body>>

Your human frailties are on matched only by your far reaching bravado.

learn the folly of your ways!

<< black lighting....sparks and crackles around his hand....as he unleashes a current of cold, relentless dark energy through Black Widow's body...to painfully shock her>>

Now be SILENT....or BE SILENCED!

<< the SAME words that Guardian threatened her with back at Illustra shortly after she destroyed her two men......coincidence????

<<Imagiomg looks at Prophet....his glowing eyes show no sign of compassion or restraint>>

and this one .....he too is long due for a lesson in humility. it is a pity that when he discoveres just who he is...he will take that revelation to his grave with him.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Back at the office pool

<< Spellbinder, Shockwave and a newly rescued Foxfire arrived back to the first floor of the Citadle....just a few steps away from the office pool....but there was now evidence of an explosion...and chaos....papers were still falling to the ground...sparks fllying....and a small scale fire raged at the counsel where Alison was once sitting>>

Spellbinder: what the devil happened here!? where is Alison...and Eva??

<< the tallest of the three....Spellbinder craned her neck to see if she could spot them...but to no avail. >>

this fire....its too much..

<< she extended her hands...and in a circular motion...with a chime..she summoned a cold, wet sparkling winter wind...that immediately quenched the fire...and cooled the place down....as the wind disapated....Spellbinder slowly stepped forward..crushing a bit of debris under her high heel.>>

<< an in icy voice>>: something is wrong.....look at that monitor...its been destroyed....i suspect from the scorch marks...it was Alison's molecular accelration power that did it....but where is she??? and where is EVA!?

<< there was an eerie sound in the air... it was a fair ways off...but it sounded like metal ...dragging along..then hitting the floor...it was a slow..yet repeated pattern..... and it was coming toward them>>

Undisclosed Location: Relapse -- Haleigh Davidoff

Haleigh clenches her jaw... and tries to pull away as Im reaches up to her face... his touch sends chills through her body, she visibly shudders. She looks up at the Mage... and as he chides her about her bravado... she puckers her lips as if to blow him a kiss.... her smartass expression is almost immediately turned to one of pain... she grimaces and opens her mouth as if to scream... but no sound comes out. She struggles against her restraints as the shock shoots through her body... but soon her head slumps forward and her senses dull... she can hear him warning her to be silent... and feels as though she'd heard it before... but where? Her minds cycles back... and stops on Alison as Haleigh's body slips back into unconsciousness.... back to the nightmarish replay of her past that her subconscious seems to be stuck on....

Haleigh squirms against her restraints... she feels as if her body is on fire.... no, its more than that... she feels like her very BEING is on fire. She can only hear the loud electronic hum of the electroshock machine.... and then it stops surging.... and Haleigh sucks in a breath, leaning back in her chair... This room is unbelievably bright... but her eyes have somewhat adjusted... there are two men here with her. One has his hand on the machine.... the other is leaning against a wall. The one against the wall is doing all the talking... he stands up, walks over to her, leans close... insists that it doesnt have to be this way.... tells her that they have very NICE holding cells as well... suggests that she could be VERY comfortable. Haleigh stares back at him with a dark look. Her head turns slowly to the young man at the machine. He can't be more than 18 years old... but hes acting smug as can be.

"You know... with your hand on that thing... you almost look like you've hit puberty. Why don't you flip that switch again sugah? Ti' a tatte facci, Arruso."

The man gets up... he seems to be the less rational, more violent of the two... he punches haleigh in the right ribs so hard that everyone hears a sickening crack. Haleigh's following breaths are ragged and painful.... he'd likely broken a rib or two. The violent man speaks for the first time... he's getting impatient.

"Isn't that cute? Was that italian... I wish I spoke italian... Why don't you repeat that last part... IN ENGLISH."

He says, a near growl, as he jabs Haleigh's ribs with two fingers. Haleigh winches... at this point... she couldn't stop herself from showing pain... because the pain didn't stop.. it just spiked whenever they turned the machine on... or hit her... She looked up at the man and repeated herself, as per his request.

"I SAID.... I'll strip your face, Asshole."

The man slaps her vehemently across the face... and walks back up to the machine, turning the power up and flipping it on again. Haleigh starts jerking against her restraints again and her nose begins to bleed. A voice on intercom system intervenes....

>>Turn that thing OFF. I TOLD you.... her heart can't take surges in rapid succession OR in increasing doses so high. We don't want her dead... YET.

The man switches it off and folds his arms across his chest, glaring from a large mirror to Haleigh. The mirror was actually one sided.... there were people observing on the other side... watching and taking notes. The first man, the less outspoken one, moves in again, trying to coax Haleigh to cooperate. Haleigh's head turns slowly again, locking eyes with him. She smiles, a chilling serial murderer smile. She starts speaking slowly and quietly at first.... but then begins to yell and struggle to break free.

"1. I am an American, fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense. 2. I will never surrender of my own free will. If in command, I will never surrender the members of my command while they still have the means to resist. 3. If I am captured, I will continue to resist by all means available. I will make every effort to escape and aid others to escape. I WILL ACCEPT NEITHER PAROLE NOR SPECIAL FAVORS FROM THE ENEMY. AND WHEN I ESCAPE, MOTHERFUCKER, I WILL COME AFTER YOU! AND WHEN I FIND YOU, YOU SORRY SON OF A BITCH, I WILL KILL YOU. I'LL RIP OUT YOUR VOCAL CORDS AND STRANGLE YOU WITH THEM! I'LL--"

The violent man has walked across the room and struck Haleigh over the temple with his handgun.. and knocked her out. The men's ears are still ringing... as he reholsters his weapon. "What the hell was she raving about?"

The first man shakes his head, and begins to unlock the metal bands on Haleigh's wrists and ankles. "Well... save for that little bit of Homicidal Hysteria at the end... it sounded like she was reciting the U.S. navy Code Of Conduct."

"Bitch ain't reciting anything now."

"Yeah, and now we can't interrogate her. Good work, you goddamn moron. Bind her wrists and take her back to the holding cell."

The first man says, leaving the room.... Haleigh's autonomic nervous system has taken over... she's shuddering in sudden spasms from teh elctroshock, and her breathing in labored... but she's not feeling pain at the moment... she's not feeling anything...

Back in reality.... Haleigh's body is reacting in much the same way... she is shuddering and twitching forcefully every few seconds... her body has taken on the glisten of perspiration and her breathing is shallow and labored. Her head hangs loosely, her chin resting on her chest. She's somewhere between the conscious and unconscious.... her hearing and sight is coming back... but in echos and distorted noises, and she's seeing everything in psychedelic coloring and in warped and shifting vision.

** Blaze listened to the concern in Spellbinder's voice, she could sense her sister was on edge for her teammate. Once the sorceress placed Foxfire down, she looked around. Taking a step forward, she inhaled a large portion of air, allowing her sixth sense to work. Moving over towards the now burned console, Foxfire crouched down by it, her nose definitely detected Guardian. She could smell the designer perfume within the other woman, and judging from Morgan's friends, they often had expense taste. **

"Her scent was at this console, she sat right here! But then it fades forward, almost like she was thrown or vaulted."

** Standing up, Foxfire dusted her hands off, her eyes zooming down past the office hall. She remembered the bewitching look Alison carried. That familiar metal pierced Blaze's ears causing her to grab her ears roughly with a look of pain. **

"What the hell is that?!"

** Shaking her head, the screeching metal disturbed Foxfire more because of her heightened senses, the metal sounded like nails on a chalkboard to her. There were two options for what the sound was, Guardian or the nightmare she feared, Black! But Foxfire knew from the reports she read, they needed to find Guardian before Black found them. She followed the scent of Alison once more, a similar aroma of smoke and ash linked nearby, the remains that Spellbinder extinguished **

"She's this way."

** Foxfire said quickly over her shoulder, she headed towards Guardian's signature waves, following her nose. **

:: Allowing her body to rest for a few moments, she began to catch her breath from the sprint down the corridors. Closing her eyes for a few moments, her chest expanded, viably being seen through her crimson suite. Hearing an unfamiliar voice, Alexis opened her eyes and looked up. It was Foxfire. How did Fox know who she was?.....It alarmed Alexis slightly, but Foxfire didn't seem threatening, so she nodded to the woman. ::

"Yes..."

:: She didn't say anything more. She didn't know the woman, so why should she trust her? Perhaps she was exactly like Morgan, maybe she wasn't? Who knew...all Alexis knew was that she was with two sisters that could EASILY turn on her. Shifting her eyes towards the monitor, she looked back at Spellbinder, then Foxfire. The two were concerned that Alison and Eva weren't here. While Foxfire began to investigate the consoles, Alexis stepped passed her and to the doorway. Alexis could give a rip about Alison, she only dreamt that witch was dead. But Eva on the other hand, Eva and her seemed to click....so she was slightly concerned. But soon, Alexis heard a scraping sound that grabed her attention...something like metal. Listening closely, she couldn't pin point what the noise was...or who was making it. Looking up, Foxfire seemed to be on the trail of something, telling both Spell and herself to follow her. Hmm....a Bloodhound on our hands? Wouldn't that be helpful. Stepping forward, Alexis followed behind Foxfire, continuing to stay quiet. ::

the 1rst floor--office pool

<< moving further inward the office pool...Spell slowly surveyed the damage left by the recent explosion....thankfully the dead bodies in here were uninfected and would remain dead...she looked down at her suit...it had proven most effective, and although it was custom designed and purple hued..she began to miss her own cutting edge, dominatrix themed ensembles which often added to her intimidation factor>>

<< it was a vain, fleeting thought that soon left her mind when Foxfire picked up on Guardian's scent....at the same time..hearing that awful sound of dragging metal that repeated itself in a slow yet steady pattern>>

<< in an icy voice>>: it sounds like......a large weapon...being hauled this way...

<< stepping over a corpse..she brought up the rear...following behind Shockwave as they were led to where Guardian should be. They would find her sure enough.....battered unconscious...and laying face down.>>

the office pool

::Guardian lay a few feet away from the console, just as Foxfire had been able to pin point. she lay face down...unconscious from the brunt of the blast of the console....no longer wearing the suit that BlackWidow had provided, but once again in her black leather cat suit ensemble with gloves and stilletto boots...her shiney brunette hair pulled back in sleek bun. even unconscious she still had an intimidating look abouat her::

:: her face seemed to be frozen in a look of consternation.....she obviously had been locked in a confrontation.....shortly before she was rendered unconscious....and Spellbinder knew that it was nearly IMPOSSIBLE to catch a precog off guard like that::

:: despite her obvious mishap....Guardian and Eva HAD succeeded in uncovering a hidden express tube that would take them past the rest of the administrative floors of the Citadle and straight to the bio systems lab....placing them that much closer to Adam and Christopher the sound they all heard down the hall was coming closer....and now...a heaving breathing could be heard as well...::

:: Finally approaching Guardian, she couldn't help but allow a small smirk to appear on her lips at the sight of the woman laying unconscious on the ground. But her smirk faded as she caught the sight of Eva laying only a few feet away from her from the corner of her eye. Walking past Guardian, she made her way up to Eva, kneeling next to the woman. Brushing her long raven locks away from her charcoal covered face, Alexis pressed her fingers against her neck checking for a pulse. Luckily Eva had a pulse, although it was faint. ::

"She's still alive....barely."

:: Alexis was soon distracted, hearing the sound of the scraping metal making its way closer...and now accompanied by the sound of breathing. Looking up, her eyes looked down the corridor to where the noise was coming from....every moment it got louder and louder. Looking down at Eva, she began to open up some of the compartments that were placed around her suite...finally coming across a very small water bottle. Twisting the cap open, she took a very small swig of it, before pouring it onto Eva's face, hoping to jolt her awake. Looking up at Spellbinder and Foxfire, her eyes soon trailed down to Guardian....God, must she really ask this question? ::

"Is she dead?"

:: It almost seemed as though that question had to be forceably asked...Alexis didn't care about Alison, hell, she HOPED the woman was dead. But Alexis wanted to know if they had to drag two woman with them until they woke up...or one. Praying for the second option, Alexis glanced back down at Eva before she stood up from her kneeling position. Looking back up towards the corridor where the grunting and scraping was coming from, the meta-human knew they had to get going. ::

** Raising a curious brow at Shockwave, Blaze smirked to herself. She immediately sensed the woman was almost self conscious of herself and any strangers around her. Glancing over her shoulder to peer into Alexis' eyes. **

"I think you worry too much Alexis, I'm not you're enemy. I can see right through you and you're cheap designer perfume."

** A devilish smirk crossed Foxfire's lips while her eyes illuminated for only a mere moment. Turning to follow the signature scent of Guardian, she walked over to see the woman laying face down. Her passionate emotions sensed a warrior within Alison and her facial features depicted such an inkling. Crouching down next to Guardian, her warm hands maneuvered across Guardian's catsuit placing them on her shoulders to gently turn her onto her back. Blaze didn't bother to check for a heartbeat, her ears could hear the rhythm of one. **

"She's alive. But you don't sound so concerned Shockwave. Perhaps you're more concerned with you're girlfriend over there."

** Blaze winked at Shockwave on purpose, how could someone be so heartless? But then again Foxfire had yet to meet the acquaintance of Guardian. Running the palm of her hand against Guardian's forehead, she released a gentle sonar of warmth to Alison. Her eyes turned to Spellbinder for council **

"A restoration spell might be in order."

"Cheap Designer perfume?"

:: A small smirk appeared on Alexis' lips. Well, well, well....she is the sister of Morgan Victory now isn't she? Just Alexis' luck...but either way, she did care for Blaze's pointless remarks about her sexuality or "cheap" perfume. Very nonchalantly, Alexis responded. ::

"Hmmm...now isn't that a contradiction? Cheap....Designer? Well, nevertheless, perhaps you should worry less about trying to be catty, and go back school before you make yourself look like an even bigger oxymoron."

:: Raising an single eyebrow as if to say she was through with this conversation, Alexis then rolled her eyes casually and turned away from both Foxfire and Spellbinder. Alexis was a very intelligent woman, graduating from NYU with a Masters in Journalism and English Lit....so she obviously knew what she was talking about and enjoyed flaunting it. Clearing her throat, she found it pointless to get into a fight with the two woman....two meaning, she knew Morgan would jump to the rescue of her baby sis, and lash right back at Alexis. These were the times she was glad she was an only child growing up. Turning back around, she glanced back down at Eva, then back up at the two woman. Hearing Foxfire say something about a spell, she parted her lips, speaking once again. ::

"You might want to hurry up...that thing down there isn't going to wait for the both of you to heal Guardian."

:: Alexis was being a smart ass, but it was true. The scraping and grunting was at its loudest, sounding like whatever it was about to round the corner. Alexis was never the one to hold her mouth, even in situations like this. She could give a rip if everyone hated or turned against the her---she never had anyone growing up as it was. Being alone and taking care of herself was like second nature to her. Crossing her arms, Alexis waited for whatever Spellbinder and Foxfire were planning on doing. ::

"Yes, designer perfume, you know the kind Walmart sells. I'm sure you're the number one customer with them."

** Blaze liked this girls fire, she seemed to hold her own. Her smile faded becoming serious once more. Glancing over to Eva, she remembered her facial imprint from the monitors back in the testing lab. Blaze detested insecure people and that's exactly what Shockwave was coming off as. It did help Alexis was catty, it showed her zero tolerance for jokes. She'd leave Shockwave alone, Fox was only purposely provoking her. This was her method for investigating those around, pushing buttons for answers. And right now SW seemed worthy to be left alone. Until she made the mistake of hurrying herself and Spellbinder up, she sucked in a breath. **

"What is it you do SHOCKwave? Shock everyone by how overdone you're Avon make -- up is, fooling everyone into thinking you're nothing but a clown?"

** She listened for a retort, knowing full well Shock would supply one. She turned to Morgan once more, awaiting a response from her. **
