Young wizard-in-training Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) returns to Hogwarts for his fifth year of studies, only to find that the magical community seems to be in a curious state of denial about his recent encounter with the sinister Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) in the fifth installment of the popular fantasy film series based on the best-selling books by author J.K. Rowling. Rumor has it that the dreaded Lord Voldemort has returned, but Minister for Magic Cornelius Fudge (Robert Hardy) isn't so sure what to make of all the hearsay currently floating around the campus of Hogwarts. Suspecting that Headmaster Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) may be fueling the rumors regarding Voldemort's return in order to undermine his authority and lay claim to his job, Fudge entrusts newly arrived Defense Against the Dark Arts professor Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton) with the task of tracking Dumbledore and keeping a protective watch over the nervous student body. The young wizards of Hogwarts will need something much more effective than Umbridge's Ministry-approved course in defensive magic if they are to truly succeed in the extraordinary battle that lies ahead, however, and when the administration fails to provide the students with the tools that they will need to defend Hogwarts against the fearsome powers of the Dark Arts, Hermione (Emma Watson), Ron (Rupert Grint), and Harry take it upon themselves to recruit a small group of students to form "Dumbledore's Army" in preparation for the ultimate supernatural showdown. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

I don't know if I would see this in theaters...It looks cool but not cool enough to spend a bajillion dollars on tickets. Plus...I am saving up to see Neil Gaiman's Stardust when it comes out. But anyways these Harry Potter movies aren't all that good, the last one certainly wasn't nor were the other two sequels before it. I say just stick with the books they include much of what is left out in the movies and they are more exciting.

^^ I disagree. I think all the Harry Potter movies have been fantastic. The last one the best of them all. I'm SO excited to see the next one. The books are fantastic, and are definitely more detailed, but the movies are in a league of their own in my opinion. I can't wait! :)

Hm. I am definitely more of a fan of the books.. But I do see the movies, and even though I thought the first two were really crappy, they do get better and better quality wise. And I have to say that I really look forward to this movie, mmmhm..

While i will admit i'm looking forward to the movies the books are still far superior IMO. The movies are good and getting better but i really don't think they should do all seven.

Really looking forward to the last book, when it comes too the movie i'll probably see it, most likely i will wait until it gets released on dvd.

Oh gross now i remembered what happened during the last movie.
In the same building i work in there is also a cinema, and apparently one day when it was showing a man was kicked out because he was FRIGGIN masturbating during the movie, that's hella sick:igitt:

Amen to that!:raspberry Although I've never read the books at all. When Harry Potter first came out I was Anti-Potter. I didn't see the big deal but when my ex wanted to see the Goblet of Fire? I think that's the fourth one? I was in awe at how creative this realm of witches and sorcerers are. I actually went back to watch the other films.

I wonder if Dumbledore will be killed in this film or how its going to play out. I had friends who read the book and they were devasted by his death.

I was watching E! News and they mentioned Ron's character would be getting a girlfriend, I believe in the next movie and there might be some steamy scenes there.

There's also been talk that Emma will not be reprising her role as Hermione because of a crazed fan who was stalking her while at her school.
