As if the first remake wasn't awful enough there is a sequel! I managed to find the trailer for this movie, check it out:

Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) ends up in the hospital following the events of Rob Zombie's Halloween, his reboot of John Carpenter's legendary slasher film that started it all. The brand new trailer gives us a look at the beginning of H2: Halloween 2, while also displaying some crazy imagery that has loaded us with questions ranging from the return of Deborah Myers (Sheri Moon) with blonde hair (is she a ghost?) to the image of Daeg as little Michael (was he really digitally added to the film?). Dimension Films will release the sequel in theaters August 28th.

i've seen more stills and clips of this film and I'm guessing Rob Zombie was seriously HIGH off of mushrooms or some other drug when he concocted this sequel? It is LOOSELY similar to the original Halloween 2 but looks like it will be filled with truly weird , bizarre moments.

I've made no secret of my dislike of Rob Zombie, i think there's something SERIOUSLY wrong with him.

I generally dislike Rob Zombie as well, though I did enjoy the Halloween remake (once I stopped thinking of it as a remake and looked at it as an entirely different film that is). This one looks scary, so I'm going to try and not compare it to the original.

I agree with Vil I really liked the remake! But I like Rob Zombie films (House of 1,000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects) So I am pretty excited to see the next chapter in the saga!

I like Rob Zombie. I like his music and a few of his films. So I didn't hate the remake of Halloween....I like how he did a backstory for Mike Myers and how disturbing he was as a kid. I mean, obviously the original is a classic, but I think RZ did a good job on putting his own spin on it.

I'm not on the edge of my seat excited to see the sequal, but I would definitely go see it if my friends wanted to. It looks pretty good.

Ugh see I hated those movies lol

Well I liked Devil's Rejects better but both of them were just frieken demented and I thought they were good horror films!

My friend loves them so much she got a tattoo on her hip that says "Mama Firefly" haha ;)

I'm gonna go watch this on Friday with some friends in NY along with Final Destination. I'm so excited!

Alright I've gotta say I absolutely love the original Halloween movies, some of my favorites actually, i watched the remake of the first halloween and though i enjoyed the first part, the ending sucked to me, i dunno it just didn't appeal to me i think they should have sticked to the original in the end not go all screwy with it. I've seen previews of this one and honestly part of me really doesn't want to see it the previews look so stupid to me, in the end i'll probley watch it but nothing will ever beat the original. I just hope this movie sticks to the original a bit more than the last

I liked Corpses, thought there was some actual TALENT in his directorial style but DR wasnt as good in my book. I would have considered myself a fan of his work, until I read of his Halloween remake. And no, I have not seen it- I refuse. Nor will I see the sequel. But honestly, it cannot be as bad as the many 'revisions' and (loose) remakes that flood Hollywood. Next, it will be Rob Zombie's Silence of the Lambs..

Ok so I gotta revise my post I guess lol, Rob Zombie basically says his remake isn't going to be at all like the original so eh that sucks but i'll probley still see it because i am a horror fan and a huge Halloween fan so how bad can it possibley be?

I love House of a Thousand Corpses and Devil's Rejects. I think Devil's Rejects is better though. It has one of my favourite endings to a movie, ever.

I also quite enjoyed Zombie's Halloween remake. Luckily, I did quite a lot of reading up on it before watching, and I noticed he was referring to it as a 'reimagination' which kind of made me just want to appreciate what he wanted to add the series. I liked it, but some of it was way disturbing! :p

I'll definitely watch this one too. I haven't seen the original sequel for ages. I think I'll wait til after I've seen Zombie's one, or I'll compare them to each other too much.

There were a few rumours around at the time of the Halloween release that Rob Zombie was set to remake lots of the old classics, but it doesn't appear that much has come from it...

Come on.. that scene in 1000 Corpses when the deputy is getting killed.. there is no movement, no sound.. I thought the drugs finally kicked in.. I was frantically trying to turn up the sound so I could hear it. The cutting, the editing.. 1000 Corpses was a good film. I think he has gone downhill since. Sure, maybe Devils Rejects was a better story, but it wasnt a better movie.

I'm so surprised at how many people who LIKE HIM! I agree w/ Jill. I find him to be mentally disturbed. The only reason I even allowed myself to watch H. of 1000 corpses is because of Karen Black. She's a horror film icon that i discovered when I saw Trilogy of Terror at a friends house years ago.

I hated the idea of him "reimagining" Halloween. A classic doesnt NEED to be imagined. It works fine the way it was...and Halloween is most arguably the father of modern day slasher films. I'll pass on H2 definately. MAYBE ill rent it on DVD or ....il be really cheap and wait for someone to put it up on youtube LOL!

I think I liked DR more, because it wasn't as 'cult' as House of a 1000 corpses, which had all the crazy lighting and stuff.

I just liked DR for the fact it made you get behind the killers. Well, I think it does. I've had this argument on numerous occasions. lol

I still don't find 'reimaginings' and bad as 'remakes'...although I suppose that sometimes they have better graphics and stuff...Halloween however, was and still is awesome.

Yes, very true. I felt the same way when they redid The Fog. You just dont NEED to.

I think both of the movies were good and I think MANY people are mentally disturbed LOL.

But I do see what you are saying Harbringer, sometimes you just SHOULDN'T mess with the classics and leave them as they are. I felt the same way about The Fog as well!

Also I hear they are doing a remake of The Breakfast Club... I almost want to cry!

I haven't seen the Zombie version yet, though I love the original. I'm apprehensive about seeing it, though...
