GUIDEBOOK for the Infernal Legions
Greetings Master of Evil! This Guidebook will give you helpful hints and a general outline for fightning in All Hell Breaks Loose (AHBL), our battle forum. This guidebook is designed for newbies, but it doesn't hurt the seasoned MoE member to look at it every once in awhile to refresh their memory
Please read Masters of Evil: "At-a-Glance" along with the GUIDEBOOK!
-*- The first thing you should do is to browse around
The Oracle's Lair and familiarize yourself with your character. You will not defeat any Crusader of Power (CoP) unless you first understand yourself!
---------- You should know all there is to know about your specie! The catalogue is located in The Oracle's Lair, in the thread Catalogue of Species. It is YOUR responsibility to keep track of the powers and abilities for your specie. The table for specie-related powers can be found in The Oracle's Lair in the thread titled Species/Character Type Power Tables and Definitions. You should know at what level which power manifests itself!
---------- You should become familiar with The Darkhold, our Dark Book of Shadows. Remember spells are useful in battle, but they are NOT everything! Spells should be used as a means of defense, to augment an attack, or to hinder your opponet....they should NEVER be your soul use of attacks/defenses. If you use a spell remember to always have a "Plan B" because your spell could be countered, blocked, deflected, etc.....All members are encouraged to submit spells to be added to its pages! PM your spell to Darkchilde for approval!
--------------------You should NOT use any spells that exceede your level without prior approval from a Dire Wraith or Dominion!
---------- Remember to keep track of your Demonic Rewards (Talismans and Enchantments).
-*- Use Trials and Tribulations to its full extent. Get involved in the tournaments and fights. Grow and learn from one another which is what a family does!
---------- Take advantave of the Personal Observations thread in this forum. Add to it, it will only be as good as you the member makes it!
---------- If you're having trouble PM any Dire Wraith or Dominion for assistance. You may also ask your fellow Masters of Evil for advice and tips.
---------- Keep an eye on The Ungodly Counsel which is where weekly meetings are held, training sessions announced and tournament sign ups take place.
-*- Our Blaque Diamonds Collection provides an array of boutiques to shop from allowing you to enhance your look, accessorize with items/weapons of power and even purchase familiars/pets with power.
----------Take note that these items will help you in battle, but they shold NOT be too heavilyrelied upon!
-*- After you have practiced and honed your skills you should participate in the battle forum here. Take your skills and power and use them to deadly effect in All Hell Breaks Loose (AHBL) as you battle with your foes, The Crusaders of Power!
---------- Be familiar with the Battle Rules of the AHBL! You should keep track of the rules so you do not break them, and also if you see any member breaking the rules alert a Dire Wraith or Dominion immediately PM!
---------- You should join the battle threads only if you are capable of and intend to fight! Do NOT join in a battle and forget to post a clear "leaving" post if you have to leave for some reason...if you do NOT post a clear exit..you could be attacked or killed!
---------- Newbies should enter battle threads that already contain seasoned MoE members or enter in groups so they may back one another up incase trouble occurs. Entering alone is risky and should only be done against other low level GoLs or when you become more seasoned.
---------- Don't Play With Your Food! That's right folks mamma was right all along. When you enter battles a little play is OK, however do not let it drag on. Our purpose is to KILL and MAIM the CoP. The longer you prolonge their death the more open you become to death yourself!
---------- Never underestimate the CoP. Yes we are better than them in almost every way, but never think you will totally dominate. Be prepared and expect the unexpected!
AHBL Guidelines
- No technical weapons of any kind. (Machine guns, bombs, ect.)
- Fighting, conflict and bitchery remains in this forum or any other designated forums and nowhere else within the communal areas of TRoW OR Tru Calling boards- so don't try picking fights in rule threads, information threads or in ANY area outside of TRoW.
- All players who enter this forum do so at his/her own risk. This is a battle forum and there is no garauntee you will survive your battles in here; all entrances and exits most be clearly posted, failure to do so could result in deadly consequences for your character.
- Posts should be as realistic as possible. This means that you must sustain the damage/injury rendered upon you to a reasonable extent. No one is invincible and grandstanding/invincibility plays will be dealt with on a ZERO TOLERANCE policy
- You must play your character correctly, using the proper powers and abilities for your level. Use your powers, skills and techniques with logic & creativity. The leaders will know if you abuse your powers and/or use powers not covered in your species' power table and will penalize you accordingly.
- No editing of posts allowed to dodge or circumvent an attack already fairly rendered upon you.
- Personal paraphanelia such as Tailsmans and Amulets are bonded to the essence of the person who carries them and as such are not ACCESSIBLE for use by another foe, so do not try to take them away from each other.
- Physical Weapons such as swords, daggers, shields that are apart of a characters' personal arsenal, purchased from a shop etc AND ARE NOT tailsmans or amulets are FAIR GAME for disarment and being used against the owner.
- OOC (out of character) chatter/discussion MUST be kept to an absolute minimum to avoid clutter and needless conflict in battle. if you MUST post OOC then please be sure to post BIC(back in character) when you resume your battle! OOC spamming will be met with severe penalty including suspension from All Hell Breaks Loose and Blaze.
- All the general rules of the AHBL apply to all fighting threads within the forum. The only rules that you may omit or include is in regard to the use of spells. If a trend of not allowing spells in threads occur this will be dealt with by the moderators of the forum. Do NOT abuse this privilage.
- If you attack someone, and that person is not responding to your attack, you must wait a minimum of 24 hours before you can attack that person again
- If you need healing you must contact a leader of your perspective side or someone with the ability to heal you.
- For those characters that posses healing/regeneration powers, tailsmans, amulets... you may only access those particular abilities up to 3 times within the entire fight. specialty potions, charms and enchantments are not applicable in this rule BUT if excessive use occurs, there WILL be a judgement against the person doing so.
- In the matter of instant death spells the peson igniting the spell must be 3 levels higher than the person the spell is being cast upon. In the case of certain spells that result in instant death or serious injury, there is NO avoiding or negating the effects of these spells.
- All spells cast must by member of either coven must detail their effects and duration (length of time) that the spell will last. If the validity of the spell is in question, do not attempt to cast a spell that has not been scribed in your coven's Book of Spells. If the spell is questionable an investigation will be conducted. If found guilty the person who cast the spell will be banned from the AHBL.
- Once you have been killed in a particular battle you cannot return to that thread, although you are welcome to participate in any of the other battles occuring around AHBL.
- IF you are destroyed by the Soul Sword, your character is completely negated and you CANNOT return to AHBL until a leader from your Coven contacts Darkchilde.
- No one will take their character outside this or any other designated fight forum - that is, there will be no bashing, name calling etc. of anyone, anywhere else on the boards. If this happens then normal rules relating to this conduct will be enforced. "I was just playing my MOE/COP character" will not be considered a reason.
- Abusive, Disrespectful, Harrasing posts/behavior is NOT tolerated and will be dealt with quickly based on a ZERO Tolerance Policy
- Remember that within this forum you are to play your character to the best of your ability, using the techniques and skills you are taught within your coven to further their cause in the battle field. style, creativity mixed with logic and imagination will make for a well rounded, successfull player!
