Alright Golden Girls fans...CHECK IN!

Let's talk about this modern classic which originally aired from 1985 thru 1992, has one spin off (The Golden Palace) and is now being show on Hallmark channel.

This show was a precursor to "Sex & the City" and was a runaway hit with 10 emmys (and everyone in the principle cast won an emmy...a feat only matched by "All in the Family" and "Will & Grace" ). Who is your favorite Golden Girl, Favorite episode?

Beatrice Arthur (R.I.P.)- "Dorothy Zbornack"

Betty White - "Rose Nylund"

Rue Mclanahan - "Blanche Deveraux"

Estelle Getty(R.I.P.)- "Sophia Petrillo"

I just took that quiz on Hallmark Channel website "Which Golden Girl Are You?" and I got BLANCHE then it played a clip from Blanche immediately after that where she says..

"It's my birthday...who wants to be the first to spank me?!"

I definitely love all of them in their own way. They all have made me laugh alot over the years and I don't think I can choose. They were all so different. One of my favorite episodes was Blanche's Full Moon Party where all the men are after Dorothy and Sophia thinks she has to break an old sicilian curse by doing all these crazy things. I also love the episode where the girls get arrested for prostitution!

I got Dorothy! :) and she was my absolute favorite on the show.

"You share Dorothy's no nonsense traits and dead pan sense of humour. you, like Dorothy, probably like to give direction and keep the crowd under control. A truer friend you'll never fiend than a Dorothy-type."

EACH of them brought something to the table that made the whole what it was. It wouldnt have been the same without any one of them missing.

Haha, I got Rose in the quiz. :p

Well, my favorite is Blanche. I think she's absolutely hilarious. And I love the fact that even in her 50's, she still goes out and gets laid like the best of them! She defines the meaning 'age ain't nothing but a number'. :D

I loved this show... My favorite was Sophia by far... she was great, Its a shame Estelle passed away, such a sad day that was. Me and my grandmother would watch this show together all the time, she is really the one who got me into it.

She & Bea Arthur are gone now :( that leaves one half of this amazing ensemble. I'm actually on Rue Mcclanahan's facebook page. I dont know if Betty White has one though.

Dorothy was my fav. the intereactions between Sophia & Dorothy were some of the best!
