Getting the most out of radio

i really love music. there used to be a time where i didnt have to depend on my cd's in the car but now aside from select news programs in the morning and a few things on the evening drive from work...im not really interested. it was better in detroit but down here? ugh...radio today is horrible. given that 95% of all radio stations come under the clear channel umbrella (and that company itself is "right" alligned). stations dont play any real variety and always favor the "heavily marketed" or "young/new" over the talented. i think its a regional thing too. some parts of the country get stuff and say "here's some new..." and its already OLD on the east or west coast lol

the alternative is digital xm but im still not sure i feel like paying another bill.

anybody here have it in their car? would you say its worth it?

I don't have it. I'd rather spend the money buying CDs of artists I do like lol

My parents had a free trial of Sirius though when they leased their cars and I don't think we even used it.

MP3 saved to my phone or when i have a wifi connection Slacker Radio or Pandora

I listen to my iPod instead
