"Hey, what's going on?"

“Her name is Jasmine Klein. She’s Spellbinder’s half-sister.”

Delilah stood watching and waiting with the others, her arms crossed over her chest. She thought it was time to get the others up to speed – they had nothing better to do at the moment.

“I was taking a walk, down past where Illustra used to be, on my way back to The Parthenon. Suddenly there was like this shimmering in the air and JASMINE is lying there in front of me. I tried to talk to her, but when she came around she just started screaming. I calmed her as best I could and brought her to the Clocktower. The Parthenon was obviously NOT an option.”

Delilah wet her lips, not sure how much she should really tell them. But they were part of the team, most of them anyway.

“And there’s something else. I saw…I saw the Siege Perilous.”

Only a handful of them would know what that meant.

“I…I thought it was coming for me…like it did Spellbinder…”

She looked at Sharon and Alycia.

“But it wasn’t coming to take me – it was there to LEAVE Jasmine. My god, she came through that thing.”

She looked to where the medical staff were working on Jasmine.

“What it must have done to her…the Siege Perilous…”

The Clocktower

She rapped LOUDLY on the door. She would have just gone in, but the bitch would probably hit her with a bunch of sand or something and it was so hard to get out of your hair.

“DOMINIQUE! Up and at ‘em! Time to GO!”

She knocked again and kept knocking on the door waiting for it to open. She had better things to do than wait for Dominique.

:: The large door flies open, and Isis is standing there, looking at Ashley as if she were a jehova's witness, or some other universally UNWELCOMED visitor, though she imagined the woman evoked that reaction from MANY::

The Clocktower

He realized, as Alycia's jacket wasn't doing enough. He averted his gaze out of courteous respect. A nurse came over with a blanket and Zach turned to Delilah.

"Hey, what's going on?"

It didn't seem right that Delilah would bring Blaze to THEM and not the Six, but Zach kept his concern under control. Delilah didn't look like she'd just been in battle, so probably Haleigh was okay.

:: Alycia moved back, letting the Nurse Pracitioner and supporting stuff take over Jasmine's care. She activated the building's protection and security measures, just as a precaution.::

Zach!

Don't you recognize her!?

:: Zach had to think for a moment, but as he gazed upon who he THOUGHT was Blaze, he saw the subtle differences, the "BLUE" accets as opposed to Firebird's "RED" He knew Alycia wouldn't joke abot something like this, but just the same...he waited till someone ELSE confirmed what his eyes were telling him::

“Her name is Jasmine Klein. She’s Spellbinder’s half-sister.”

Delilah stood watching and waiting with the others, her arms crossed over her chest. She thought it was time to get the others up to speed – they had nothing better to do at the moment.

:: Zach was visibly shocked. Alycia nodded that Delilah was correct. Sharon stood near Delilah, listening as the light bringing told them what happened.::

Delilah wet her lips, not sure how much she should really tell them. But they were part of the team, most of them anyway.

:: Alycia had worked with Delilah professionally for YEARS. She knew Delilah had no trouble with providing information, but the woman seemed to falter for a moment.::

“And there’s something else. I saw…I saw the Siege Perilous.”

Only a handful of them would know what that meant.

The Infirmary

“The Siege Perilous, you say?”

Mina walked into the infirmary, wearing a black leather trench and black slacks, accessorized as always by two long black gloves…and her cane. Mina inclined her head towards MorningStar.

“Are you sure?”

It sounded more like an accusation, delivered in her clipped English accent, than a question.

“Zachary? Come here and give me your arm. Let’s have a look at this Jasmine Klein.”

She almost spit out the words Jasmine Klein, as if they were something distasteful.

Mina allowed herself to be led to where Jasmine lay, where she stopped and slowly removed one of her long black gloves, placing it in her coat pocket. She gently laid a hand on Jasmine’s arm.

Flashes. Images. Emotions.

Mina pulled her hand back, trying to mask the revulsion she felt. She replaced the glove and made her way back to where the others were waiting.

“It is all…discombobulated. A jumble. I do not see the Siege Perilous, but I do not see her arrival via any other means either. She was just…there…suddenly, in our world.”

Mina smoothed her coat down, then folded her hands neatly on top of her cane.

“I can tell you that the one called Harbinger is the current holder of the Siege Perilous in this reality, and Alison Marble has not been in New York City since the occurrence at St. Patrick’s cathedral, of which we are all acquainted. Nor is she in the city now.”

Mina turned to address Delilah.

"If Miss Klein did pass through the Siege Perilous for a second time…that object can wreak untold damage on a person, body and psyche. There is no way to say if she would ever be the person again she once was.”

She paused.

“Assuming, of course, Jasmine is who she appears.”

She turned to address the group once more.

“It is possible – though unlikely - that she did arrive here by the Siege Perilous. But if she did, all is not well with her. In any case, something is not right here. Something is very very wrong.”

“And there’s something else. I saw…I saw the Siege Perilous.”

Only a handful of them would know what that meant.

“I…I thought it was coming for me…like it did Spellbinder…”

She looked at Sharon and Alycia.

[ Sharon looks at Alycia, then Delilah. She mentally commands her silver eye mask to reced from her face and she SHARES in the silent, collective memory of a SHARED trauma with Delilah, Alycia and Zach. She was there too. She DIED shortly before Morgan. HER story SHOULD have ended there. She died a matyr, a HEROINE, and a valiant opposer to Mystech. But in a wild, ironic twist, she was RETURNED to life by Mystech, now in the present form of the powerful Silver Swan.]

No wonder you....

:: Alycia and Sharon, along with Zach, look at Delilah. There's a SILENT understanding. They KNOW what she must have thought. The siege was coming for HER!::

We also saw the gem when Barbas attacked us at Melrose Place. It was apart of the nightmare he trapped us in. Firebird opened it several months ago, attempting to pass through it, but she was stopped by Prophet and Rampage.

But...no one simply COMES BACK from the siege...do they?

You....

:: She falters herself, for a moment::

....I remember! Zach and I...we were in Limbo, where Karen had evacuated us when Malice and Blackout attacked illustra. Ororo! She told you all that there was a chance to SAVE Spellbinder!

But NO ONE else has just come BACK from the gem.

Harbinger has said that a person who passes through the gem is basically BLOWN APART, judged by cosmic powers, and then reconstructed to feature ANOTHER aspect of their soul's potential, and then returned to another place and time, with NO memory of their former life and existence...

She also told us that Jasmine Klein voluntarily cast herself into the siege, because she believed herself lost and alone. Spellbinder and Foxfire were dead, she was orphaned...why would the gem have kept her this long, only to RETURN her HERE...and if she was torn apart and reconstructed...will she even be able to understand WHO, WHERE she is?

“The Siege Perilous, you say?”

Mina walked into the infirmary, wearing a black leather trench and black slacks, accessorized as always by two long black gloves…and her cane. Mina inclined her head towards MorningStar.

Flashes. Images. Emotions.

Mina pulled her hand back, trying to mask the revulsion she felt. She replaced the glove and made her way back to where the others were waiting.

[ Sharon watched as this mysterious woman went about gathering some insight into the mystery of Frost.]

“It is all…discombobulated. A jumble. I do not see the Siege Perilous, but I do not see her arrival via any other means either. She was just…there…suddenly, in our world.”

Mina smoothed her coat down, then folded her hands neatly on top of her cane.

“It is possible – though unlikely - that she did arrive here by the Siege Perilous. But if she did, all is not well with her. In any case, something is not right here. Something is very very wrong.”

[ Mina's insight was foreboding. The woman was an authority on all things magickal and occult, and her knowledge was impressive, she was surprised that Spellbinder and Harbinger hadn't met her BEFORE. Still, Mina's observation about the circumstances behind Jasmine's sudden return were not exactly comforting. At the same time, people had also thought Sharon's return was a bad thing. Sharon HERSELF didn't have any say in THAT, she felt concern and empathy for Jasmine now, who lay here...all but helpless. At least she surrounded by people who meant her no harm.]

Many of us in this room now owe our current state of being to wild, even "impossible" circumstances. We can't deny Jasmine the "second chance" that so many outside of our circle will never have.

I remember this young girl. I knew her from when I was a senator, before I died. She was there, battling along side the Six against Master Mold that very night.

:: She looks around the group::

Assuming that her mind and her memories will be in tact, She's going to want to see the Six. She's going to want to see her sisters. I don't have to be a telepath or a precog to know that.

She wheeled closer to where Vivica stood.

“Can you get a read on the girl Vivica? Is she really who she’s supposed to be?”

[ Sharon's silver eyes fixed on Vivica, waiting to see what the woman would say. ]

Hearing the evil bitchmonster of death say her name, made Ashley want to change it to something else. Maybe Helga?

Isis said:
What do you want?

Helga rolled her eyes.

“What do I want?!”

She paused, pretending to think it over.

“What I want, Dominique, is for you to get your ass ready to go and meet the others. Didn’t you read Oracle’s text? Or do you need an update on the old eyeglass prescription? Here, let me spell it out for you.”

She mimicked using sign language.

“MorningStar showed up on our doorstep – without calling first – holding a naked chick who looked almost dead. Those two Amazon whores took her to the infirmary at Charope. Oracle wants you to go there.”

She paused, expectantly.

"Like now.”

Ashley hooked her thumb towards the hallway, indicating that they should get a move on.

Rich is sitting with Isis, and her mood is...troubled. She was good to him, but he could tell that something was going on. She did not offer and, since she was otherwise OK, he did not ask. Then there was a hard knock at the door. He rose to get it but a wave of Miss D's hand caused him to pause.

It was the Death Usher at the door, Rich immediately wished he had popcorn because this was gonna be good....

And she was just disrespectful as hell! Rich sent a message to Isis via their normal form of combat communication, the spell that allows them to speak with their minds to each other.

You need me to handle this?

:: Isis rolls HER eyes and exhales, turning on her high heel and walking away from Valkyrie as she is talking.::

My hearing is quite fine, thank you. So is my capacity to make descisions and declarations.

Allow me to provide you with an example.

:: She speaks with clear, crystal CONTEMPT::

I have no interest in any rudimentary method of communication you might attempt, Oldenburg.

:: Isis seated herself in a large, elegant, "throne like" chair, crossing her legs at the knee and simply staring Valkyrie down. She "steepled" her index fingers under her chin, surveying Ashley as if she were looking down the barrel of a GUN at a target. ::

You are such an ignorant, ill tempered, disrespectful, boorish cow.

:: Another matter of fact declaration::

You can leave at any time.

I will not be going ANYwhere with you.

:: Ashley stepped further in, looking like she wanted to say or perhaps DO something? Dominique did not waver::

NOR will I be compelled OR coerced by you. I nearly had your badge before. I can do MUCH worse than that, if you really have nothing better to do with your time.

And she was just disrespectful as hell! Rich sent a message to Isis via their normal form of combat communication, the spell that allows them to speak with their minds to each other.

You need me to handle this?

:: The "hearing thoughts" spell she had cast , forming a sight unseen/UNHEARD link of communication between herself and Richard remained in tact. It was a tremendous piece of strategy and source of security "just in case."::

Hold fast, Richard. But remain present, alert, and ready for ANYTHING. While I am LOATHE to engage in violence within the dwelling of Elizabeth....:: Isis noticeably pauses, and CORRECTS herself, knowing how the young woman much prefers to be called...:: ZIZI, I DO question her judgement regarding the association and teaming with THIS ridiculous creature. If a line IS crossed, SHE will be the one to do so, and then...you and I will BOTH deal with her.

Because you are woefully ignorant, I will provide a reply that even someone of your remedial intelligence could comprehend, :: holding up a hand, cutting Valkyrie off::

AND, since you are accustomed to running errands and delivering messages, like any well trained organ grinder's monkey, you may ALSO relay my response and reason of DECLINING this request from Oracle.

I am the avatar for the egyptian goddess of rebirth and magick. I am just as immersed in the world of magick as Spellbinder, Harbinger, Mina and others similar.

Again, because your intelligence is debatable, at best, I don't expect you to know, understand OR appreciate this, but do listen very carefully...

I am well aware of what has occurred. I observed Delilah's arrival with that woman in her arms, Jasmine Klein?

I am able to sense and discern the origin and state of ALL living things. This allows me to know if a person is NATURALLY occurring, or NOT, if they are HUMAN or not.

I am sensitive to the plight of the weak, and I ABHOR behavior that violates nature, MYSTECH or WilPharma, for example.

I drew a line with Malice and Enchantrah in the Hellfire Club regarding their actions and history with Mystech, refusing to be apart of it and I'm drawing that line with you, Oracle, and anyone ELSE in this group who would make the MISTAKE of asking me to assist in the care of someone...someTHING that is NOT natural and does NOT belong here.

:: She continues to gaze into Ashley's eyes.::

It is a STRETCH for me to deal with YOU, for I have seen your true visage. NOT this glamorous FACADE that you wear among the MORTALS you play around with.

And that is ALL I will offer to someone as obscene as YOU.

But I will NOT assist you with that woman that Delilah was carrying. She is NOT what she seems. Moreover, Given that she wears the form of Jasmine Klein, the half sister of Spellbinder and Firebird, that makes her a member of the Victoria family. The more approprite person to contact for any magickal assistance you seek would be Shadow Weaver.

I believe there are SEVERAL at Charope, LLC who can facilitate that?

If Oracle has an issue with my declining her request, I will be happy to discuss it with her.

Now, that will be quite ENOUGH of you for tonight.

:: Isis ABRUPTLY gestures, and a mystic tone sounds off, as a golden column of magick envelops Valkyrie and TELEPORTS her from the clocktower to Charope LLC, right amongst the group.::

:: Isis exhales and looks at Richard::

Richard, That woman (Ashley)...is DISGUSTING.

It is REMARKABLE, the way that Zizi can TOLERATE such a beligerant, incorrigible wench like her!

:: She calms a bit, after getting over the true OFFENSE that she felt at the idea of being asked to help with that creature in Delilah's arms::

Richard...

:: She thinks for a moment.::

We may be paying a visit to Haleigh Davidoff this evening.

Rich did not move a muscle, his face blank and passionless as the 'conversation' continued. But he was already prepared to do what he does. A pity, her body was banging.

Miss D read her ass though, then dismissed her. He stood down as she turned to speak to him.

<< Dr. Karen Victoria makes her way down the sidewalk. She is on her way to Bell, Book, & Candle.>>

<< In the sprawling steel and stone metropolis that is NYC, Bell, Book, & Candle, is indeed a curious, and unique place.>>

<< This was a well stocked, well maintained APOTHECARY, one that withstood the test of time, as the world abandonned its belief and respect of magick in favor of an obsession with science and the mental opiod known as RELIGION. >>

<< This mysterious store was filled with a variety of trinkets, crystals, accessories, talismans, fabrics, the finest and most rare of ingredients, potion vials, and MORE, all genuine, all authentic, and all available to witches of all ages, levels of power and occupying various positions in various disciplines of magick and witchcraft. This was a beacon, a place of familiarity for witches and other magick users, and in necessary times, a haven and sanctuary. >>

<< The building itself, much like it's mistress, was far more than it seemed.>>

<< This place was also a source of information and knowledge, the kind that can't be googled or pulled up on a smartphone, and even the mother of this era's sorceress supreme knew that not everything could be solved with a spell, a mystic force bolt, or a soul sword.>>

<< Karen descended from bloodline of Hecate. Witchcraft wasn't just a POWER, it was a WAY of being.>>

<< She'd been visiting in NYC for several weeks, seeing her patients, namely Haleigh Davidoff and Ava Cassadine, providing them with assistance, counseling and support in her capacity as a psychotherapist.>>

<< But Haleigh's case in particular was disturbing, WEARING on her, more than she initially thought.>>

<< While she mainted that sterling, pristine presentation she was known for, signs of strain were starting to show. She was agitated, easily startled, not sleeping well, having NIGHTMARES of a deeply personal and terrifying nature. She was feeling increasingly OUT of balance within, and sensing it AROUND her as well. >>

<< She hadn't shared this with anyone, not even her companion and confidant, Michael Armstrong. a.k.a Arsenal, ally of the Six, chief of security at Minerva's Aerie.>>

Healing, nutrition, alleviation, and many other benefits derived from using ingredients both natural and mystical, creating potions, using the innate propery and ENERGY of different crystals for various effects, meditation, astral projection, all these things and so much more would help a witch live a happy, healthy, LONG life, and now, the doctor was here to gather together ingredients to help her in her quest to tap into/BOOST her own natural ability to restore mental clarity, serenity, physical homeostasis, and protection!>>

NYC- on the way to Bell, Book, and Candle

<< The doctor walked along, dressed stylishly, and wearing a wrap, and high heels.>>

<< There was a slight, cool breeze in the evening air.>>

<< Years ago, the doctor had an office on the other side of town, in Soho. She lived and worked in NYC, running a thriving practice, until Bishop brought all of the Six AND their allies' lives crashing down, just like Illustra.>>

<< In the time that has passed, so much as happened, CHANGED, SHE has changed. >>

<< Now she's back here. Her credentials were restored some time ago, and she is semi-retired, dividing her time between NYC and Minerva's Aerie, and counseling a VERY small, SELECT group of clients. She enjoys her life as it is NOW, with Michael, Alison, Blaze, and the rest of the Six family, one that is currently MISSING it's SPELLBINDER. HER daughter, this world's sorceress supreme. That absence has been a sad fact since the aftermath of the Blue Moon, and it's a sadness that does not go away for Karen. >>

<< Karen is a powerful sorceress, beautiful, immortal, skilled in the highly complex discipline of psychotherapy. She found a new life and love with a man who is everything her husband, Morgan, Blaze and Jasmine's father, Christopher Victory was NOT. But beneath all the successes, the power and skill, there is a woman who is a SURVIVOR, and as many times as she's counseled any number of patients on this, she knows that being a survivor does not come without it's own unique set of damages, injuries, insecurities, or even mental health issues>>

<< The psychotherapist is thought by some to have the most diffficult and dangerous journey of ANY specialized mental healthcare professional. Indeed, it is well documented that many psychotherapists often end ground breaking, productive careers, being in dire need of mental health services themselves, after a lifetime of helping OTHERS. >>

<< Karen has ALWAYS had this worry...this FEAR that this would one day be HER fate....in the back of her mind, but she has kept it secret and hidden well. >>

<< But lately, with Morgan's absence now beginning to present real pressures and even PROBLEMS for more than one person, along with the truly unique and increasingly disturbing nature of the case of Haleigh Davidoff, the doctor has started to wonder if SHE is reaching that dangerous cliff that so many other psychotherapists before her once did. >>

<< Are her instincts as a mother and a woman SCREAMING something to her about Haleigh that she cannot BEAR to give voice to, and is THAT, in turn pushing closer and closer to the EDGE?>>

<< Are the memories of Christopher Victory and the DANGER he posed to her and Morgan, along with the heart CRUSHING GUILT over her attitude and treatment of Blaze (Fielding), now being stirred up by the nature and details of Haleigh's case, posing a mental health crisis for HER?>>

<< So many questions have been racing in her mind since her latest emergency session with Haleigh. But who can SHE talk to? She's NOT worried about how she'd look or sound. After the numerous situations, personalities, stories that she's heard from as many clients through her years in practice, she is BEYOND the petty trapping of worrying what someone would THINK over her needing to talk or confide.>>

<< HER problem is that she often doesn't feel she HAS anyone to confide in. A member of the Six? Out of the question. She's widely perceived as the MATRIARCH of the six family, a perception and role she has easily stepped into and willingly occupied. She DOES have genuine relationships with others outside of her daughters in that group, but she generally regards them as CHILDREN. >>

<< Michael? Perhaps, but how far could she go with him before he was truly UNABLE to understand, or worse...reached some sort of THRESHOLD that he found he could no longer tolerate? She was guilty of underestimating him, not because he was a "mere mortal", but because she didn't want to burden him. Even now, after all this time...she was STILL not always able to LET herself TRUST that he would ....COULD go that distance with her. Somewhere...much like that fear of her one day "cracking up", there was that fear that Michael would be ANOTHER Christopher!>>

<< So much concern, so much worry...anxiety...building up....pressing down on her, hampering her...>>

<< She HAD to stop this, she had to regain her sense of clarity, that serenity, and even that homeostasis, and it was not to be achieved by simply casting a spell, and THIS was why she was heading to Bell, Book, and Candle, to gather the items she needed, to create a potion, create a an energy barrier, and other healing, protective measures that would work with her body and mind to restore her!>>

<< She'll reach the apothecary soon. She retrieves a list from her purse....>>

List said:
- assorted oils, purest extract, a singing bowl, Crystals- hematite, blue lace, opal, moonstone; Incense - coconut, passionflower, franckinsense, lotus; potion vials, and the finest selection of ingredients for calming and restorative elixirs...

<< She had a list, she had the knowledge and skills needed, she had a PLAN. She would execute that plan. She would take care of herself, she would be OKAY. Just REVIEWING the list as she neared the apothecary was a source of encouragemenet.>>

<< But her train of thought was suddenly interrupted but an unexpected gust of wind, and the realization that something...SOMEONE was approaching. She almost COLLIDED with this person...a WOMAN.>>

Oh my stars!

<< The doctor narrowly avoids the woman, who seemed to have just appeared out of no where, or maybe Karen was just so wrapped up in her thoughts, and her list that she hadn't noticed?>>

Excuse me. I didn't see you.

<< She nodded and smiled a bit, preparing to move on her way. The apothecary was just a few doors down the street now. Michael would be meeting her here soon. >>

:: Vivica looked around the room at those in the infirmary and furrowed her brow. Something was definitely wrong with them. Outside of the obvious stress and concerned that read on their faces over this sudden and shocking discovery, there was something...different in the air. Their faces registered their normal patterns of distress, or at least they did in line with what she had experienced with them in the short time she knew them, but it seemed as if there was something altered about each of those in the room, especially those with strong ties to The Six. ::

"If Miss Klein did pass through the Siege Perilous for a second time…that object can wreak untold damage on a person, body and psyche. There is no way to say if she would ever be the person again she once was.”

She paused.

“Assuming, of course, Jasmine is who she appears.”

She turned to address the group once more.

“It is possible – though unlikely - that she did arrive here by the Siege Perilous. But if she did, all is not well with her. In any case, something is not right here. Something is very very wrong.”

:: Vivica found herself transfixed on Jasmine's face, which was an uncomfortable experience. This was somebody that looked...so much like a person that she had gotten very close to recently. Though their lives were threatened on a daily basis by things that went bump in the night, it definitely gave her pause. There was also a matter of Vivica getting the lingering feeling that this was something for The Six to be involved in...and for her specifically NOT to be. She was torn, but she also felt a bit of a sense of duty to FIrebird to at least figure out the situation. ::

:: Recall got closer to the body of the supposed Jasmine Frost as he accessed her power to assess the ability of mutants around them, by analyzing their mutant potential. Squinting her eyes she began a mental scan on the body, trying to account for any detail that she could. If this person was merely a shell, or the manifestation of a VERY strong spell, she would be able to detect it, as she somewhat had a natural shield against magick and psychic attacks based on how her brain worked. She looked up at the group. ::

"My scan indicates she's showing a STRONG representation o a true ice elemental, a true classical, psychic and physical embodiment or..."expression" of her element. I see her power extending to all forms of energy it's tied to at the deepest level. Comparing the two power sets with each other, it's the same as Firebird in the opposite direction...if the two were to fight they would cancel each other out."

[thinking for a moment]

"Mina could be right..there is obviously room for something that can't be discerned by the situation right now BUT my abilities are saying..."

[pausing]

"GURL...That's JASMINE KLEIN!"

:: Vivica felt torn. On the one hand, she trusted her own abilities, but the fact that Mina had said something was wrong really began to rack her brain. This showed a strong indication that magick was involved, and not just something like the Siege. If she was whole and fully human, like she was presenting to Vivica, Mina wouldn't have reservations, and though she had only known the woman for a very short time, Zizi tended to keep people around her that were precise, it was why her and Oracle had connected so well. Something was wrong, but since Vivica couldn't discern EXACTLY what it was, she remained silent, calculating the patterns she saw around her, looking for some kind of clue that the others couldn't see. ::

The Hellfire Estate - NYC

< The winds of change continued to blow through The Hellfire Estate as a great renovation was under way. Her exile on Sheena Island had ended and her work there had garnered her a bit of freedom. However, she was a woman who's life was defined by her work, so the concept of "free time" was rather lost on her. The departure of Dominique Devereaux had been a well timed one, as there was work to be done here that could no longer remain "in shadow." >

Robotic Voice: "Doctor, security systems of the lower levels have been upgraded per your specifications, and construction of the lab is going smoothly. We believe full completion of the project in possible within a few days."

< From the dark halls of The Hellfire Club, the woman in shadow steps INTO the light, to reveal a face not seen in this timeline in quite some time. Her wild and familiar icy blue eyes look up and down at her creature before her, a ghastly creation with multiple cybernetic arms, a human like torso, and a circular head that contain a haunting bright orange orb composed of a number of different swirling energies, bound together by the chains of magick. >

"We need to work faster than this. Though I take great pride in all of my creations, The White Queen does not see the beauty of my creations for what they are. Return to the re-charge station, I'd like to take a look at your productivity sequence and see if there's a way to increase it even further."

< She spoke to the creature in a low, breathy and cerebal tone, one that indicated her interest, but refused to betray her confidence. >

Robotic Voice: "Affirmative, Dr. Shaw. Heading to re-charge station. Re-charge to be complete in two hours."

< She nodded, taking a moment to look at her perfectly manicured black nails, fussing with them for a moment as she made her way down the hall and towards a wing of the mansion that she had just acquired; the quarters of the former Black Queen herself, Dominique Devereaux. At the far end of the east wing, she opened a door that led to her Chamber of Shadows, a place for her to get away from the cold and sterile environment of a laboratory, a palce where she could connect to her magick, to plot her next move, to ensure that she was centered. She had nobody tying her to this timeline, or rather, nobody that she herself was connected to, but all around her she could sense the presence of her counterpart, a rather dissappointing woman by the name of KELLY KING aka Witchfire. She knew that coming to this timeline she would be vulnerable to any number of different versions of herself, but she never expected that she would run into a timeline where she would be DEAD. The longer she spent in this world, the more she was able to see about Kelly King's life and the more she became dissappointed yet determined. The only legacy she had left behind was one of mental illness, and her three children, Alison, Cameron and Erika. One of them was dead and the other two had dedicated their life to DESTROYING the very work that KELLY SHAW had dedicated her life to doing. This world may look at HER and think she would suffer the same fate as her counterpart, but the world, what was left of it after what she planned to do to it, would be VERY wrong. >

< The Chamber of Shadows was a place where she could very much insert her own true identity in the world, solidify her new life. The second she entered this timeline, she felt destiny call to her, her gift of sight alerting her to exactly where she needed to be and what she needed to do. Across the multiverse, all of their work had been tainted, BLIGHTED by The Six and their allies. It seemed to be fate that this version of herself happened across this version of Diana, The White Queen, and it was an opportunity to fix mistakes, to further the cause, to continue to do the work she had dedicated her life to until it was destroyed in THE INFERNO, though not the one this world knew. As she entered the room, she noticed a box with various, gawdy gold trinkets and knick knacks left over from the previous resident of this office. Kelly Shaw rolled her eyes, pulling out a small tape recorder and speaking into it.

"Note to self, burn the witch's box."

< She had yet to meet Isis, but she hadn't been impressed by her initial assessment. Dominique was a woman who had the power to destroy GODS, and yet Kelly had noticed she spent most of her time performing parlor tricks for mortals and dazzling them with a less than exemplary voice in a casino like atmosphere under the ROOF of her would be enemies. The Hellfire Club was better off without her. >

< Taking a seat in her sleek black desk, candles began to burn brightly upon her command, their flames highlighting a number of "trophies" on the newly decorated walls of the room. Across from her was her floor to ceiling length mirror, which hosted no reflected but instead a swirling black hypnotic, pulsating energy. This was The Eluvian, a powerful scrying tool that had the capacity to facilitate inter-dimensional travel. She had pieced it together herself from pieces she had found around the world during her internment on Sheena Island. On the far right wall was a large framed pair of holographic wings, that were the ones she had crafted for The Choir and The Right before The Purifiers Attack. On the opposite wall, were several pages of The Book of Vishanti, a POWERFUL spell book in the right hands. And finally, next to the fire place on a magickal stand, stood The Staff of One, a beautiful and hypnotic, darkly powerful staff that she was hoping would give her an edge in the days to come. She had learned so much in such a short time, with modern technology filling in gaps that weren't possible yet in her timeline. She was in a good place, for as much as somebody who had bound her own emotions away with magick some time ago. In this timeline, she had opportunity, and with THIS Diana, she saw the path to success. >

< Part of that pathway to success was a "march towards darkness", one that both Kelly and Diana had been working on for quite some time. Waving her hand in front of her, The Eluvian began to swirl and buzz with a haunting magickal energy as an aerial view of the city zoomed forward until it revealed KAREN VICTORIA aka Shadow Weaver, walking down a cold New York Street, on her way to a magick shop. Though she was not one for comedy she couldn't help but laugh to herself for a moment. >

"Hundreds of years of modern science, and witches still flock to shops filled with sage, incense and books full mostly of nonsense."

< There had been many over time who had attempted to blend the worlds of magick and science, but Kelly Shaw had been one of the few who had succeeded. For some time now, she had been authoring a new craft, a new way to manifest power and to connect to the ambient forces of magick within the universe, so many of which had yet to be discovered. To consistently turn to the old ways as some sort of homage to one's ancestors never felt right to Kelly. While there was power in invoking words that had been said since the beginning of time, there was something to be said for blazing new and uncharted territory. >

< Tucking a tendril of dark brown, almost reddish hair behind her ear, she watched Karen walk down the street with perverse curiousity. She had known Karen in her native timeline, even tried to help her at one point, before she lost it. But she had to remind herself that this was not the Karen that she knew. None of them were the people she knew and as such, she looked at this world and the people in it, with the same kind of scientific curiousity that drove her life. As she surveyed Karen, obviously feeling the effects of the magick she had put into place earlier, she became engrossed with ideas. Would this Karen break like the other one when faced with her past, with her choices? This Karen was decidedly darker, managing to survive what she hadn't before, but it was always good to test the waters, to assess your opposition and see what they were made of. The Six would experience her tests soon enough, but for now, she had set her eyes on Karen. Call it nostalgia, call it perverse machinations, there was something about the witch that made Kelly want to "open her up and see how she worked." >

< Walking over to her vanity in the corner, she grabbed one of the many unholy, glowing crystaline bottles and selected one with a purple hue, spraying herself like perfume that was really a combination of chemicals and magick blended together to create one of the many potions she was famous for. Everything Kelly did had a purpose, and this was a part of things as well. From beneath her dress, she felt her Omni Pistol, one of her most deadly weapons, a mystical gun she had crafted that was capable of any number of desired effects. The chamber was full of five bullets, containing syrums, potions and compounds that could ignite her power, and fight back her foes, each bullet introduced at the SPEED OF LIGHT, it's magick protecting it's presence. From inside of her Chamber of Secrets, she shimmered away and appeared RIGHT in front of Karen Victoria herself. >

Karen: "Oh my stars! Excuse me. I didn't see you."

"No worries. It's a frosty night. I can't think of anything else but this cold."

< She peered at Karen with an alluring smolder as her "perfume" began to swirl in the air around them. Actually a complex potion, it was compromised of a number of chemicals, magickal herbs and pheremones, that dulled the senses, blurred the lines between reality and dream, inducing somewhat of a waking hypnosis. This would cause a normally very guarded Karen's pulse to slow, thoughts to become disjointed, but act far more responsive than she would normally be, all without her even knowing. Her black manicured hands grabbed the doctor's arm a bit softly. >

"I don't mean to bother you, but aren't you Dr. Victoria? This may come a bit from left field, but I actually studied your work for my thesis in college. There weren't many leading female voices when I was in school, and I will thank you for not guessing what year that was."

< Tilting her head slightly. >

"Such a shame about your husband, Christopher. Just goes to show you that even us licensed professionals can't always determine if the people we love are going to batter our bodies or kiss our wounds, am I right?"

< She saw the confusion well up in Karen's face. She was reacting in line with Kelly's hypothesis. Time to press further. >

"You're daughter seems to have turned out quite nicely, though. Beautiful girl, when she isn't manifesting horns and trying to swallow the Earth whole...and let's not forget about about your other daughter..the one who you let take the brunt of the abuse your husband doled out when you went into hiding? How is she doing?"

< Kelly was playing the part of concerned friend and chilling temptress. Her words began to echo ALL around Karen's senses, almost as if she didn't know where they were coming from. Her body would go ice cold, her face would break out in a cold sweat as her vision went in and out of blurriness. WHO WAS THIS WOMAN? And why did she feel the need to rationalize her choices all of a sudden? What was happening. Kelly's voice went lower, while still maintaining it's melodic apathy. >

"But what I really wonder Karen, is what happens to the woman who counsels them all, when she needs counseling herself? Sure, you can turn everybody else into nice and neat little packages, but who is fixing the cracks in YOUR psyche? Who counsels the counselor? Could it be Michael? No, probably not. He can't handle that kind of darkness, not again, not after everything you've already put him through? Oh, that would just be crazy, but then again, that wouldn't be very outside the realm of reality, would it? In fact, women in your field often lose their careers...and their minds due to their work, needing more help than the ones who've paid you to help THEM..."

< She got CLOSER to Karen, speaking quickly, confusing Karen with the pace at which she was speaking. >

"You've lost it Karen, you've lost it entirely, and there's only one person here who can straighten you out...and... [pausing, feigning sincerity] I think we both know who that is...."

"MEEE!!!!!!!!"

< Karen would HEAR AND SEE Christopher Victory all around her, lunging at her from every single direction, attempting to HIT her, attempting to BRUTALIZE her like he had done before! Karen was LOST in the imagery of Christopher around her as Kelly continued. >

"You can't keep this up, you're losing your grasp...and when YOU lose it...[whispers] so will they."

<
Kelly sensed the impending arrival of Michael via her omni-sight. She was done. For now. >

< Shimmering out of the area, Michael would run up to find an EXTREMELY distressed Karen Victoria, seeming to SCREAM and shout at HERSELF, fighting with something completely imaginary. He didn't know, and neither did Karen, that she had just come face to face with Talisman for the first time! >

Clocktower - Isis' Suite

Ashley tapped her foot impatiently as Isis blustered.

Isis said:
You are such an ignorant, ill tempered, disrespectful, boorish cow.

She conspicuously looked at her watch.

“And? Do you have a point somewhere in there?”

Isis said:
You can leave at any time. I will not be going ANYwhere with you.

She took a step towards Isis. This really was ridiculously painful.

Isis said:
NOR will I be compelled OR coerced by you. I nearly had your badge before. I can do MUCH worse than that, if you really have nothing better to do with your time.

“Lady, do you seriously think I give a shit about a JOB? I ain’t afraid of some retread who thinks she’s an actual goddess. When she’s NOT. Are you even FROM Egypt?”

Isis said:
AND, since you are accustomed to running errands and delivering messages, like any well trained organ grinder's monkey, you may ALSO relay my response and reason of DECLINING this request from Oracle.

“You couldn’t have said that to her yourself and saved us both this excruciating time together? RSVP – it’s not optional.”

But Isis just continued talking. Droning on…and on…and on. I am the avatar for the egyptian goddess of rebirth and magick blah blah blah – who could stand it? How could that Rich kid LIVE with this woman? She was too frosty and shriveled up to be banging him.

Isis said:
Now, that will be quite ENOUGH of you for tonight.

“Don’t you fucking dare-“

And then she was at Charope.

“Insufferable hateful WENCH!”

Ashley fumed.

Zizi: “Ashley! What happened? Where’s Isis?”

“It’s Helga now.”

Zizi: “Huh?”

She shook her head.

“Nevermind.”

She took a deep breath.

“That bitch YOU made me go see, is not coming. She knows all about the arrival of this Jasmine chick, and she said something about, not helping us with something so unnatural blah blah. Avatar of Isis blah blah magick – she told us to ask Shadow Weaver instead.”

She crossed her arms forcefully and GLARED.

“Can you BELIEVE her?! She MUST be kicked out of the group after this – why in the hell should we put up with that shit?!”

The Infirmary

Delilah gave them a rundown of what she had seen, and told them the girl’s name.

Jasmine Klein. Zizi typed the name and also Siege Perilous into the keypad on her chair, to see what information she could quickly find. She would do a full workup when she returned to the Clocktower.

Delilah was visibly shaken when she spoke about the Siege.

Delilah said:
“I…I thought it was coming for me…like it did Spellbinder…”

Alycia went on to describe the aftermath of the attack on Illustra. Zizi rested a hand gently on Delilah’s forearm, looking up at her with concern.

“That must have been terrible.”

Her eyes moved to Alycia and Zach.

“For all of you.”

Mina arrived, looking as grouchy as ever! She got immediately down to business. That girl really needed to lighten up…

Mina said:
“I can tell you that the one called Harbinger is the current holder of the Siege Perilous in this reality, and Alison Marble has not been in New York City since the occurrence at St. Patrick’s cathedral, of which we are all acquainted. Nor is she in the city now.”

“I can confirm that: none of my scans have picked up on Harbinger since the battle with the Purifiers.”

Mina’s head turned towards her, as if she were giving her the evil eye.

“Not that you need confirming, Mina.”

And then she realized…

“Oh my goodNESS – where are my manners? Mina Harker, Delilah Trelaven. Everyone else I think you both know.”

Mina said:
“It is possible – though unlikely - that she did arrive here by the Siege Perilous. But if she did, all is not well with her. In any case, something is not right here. Something is very very wrong.”

“Then we need to find out what that is. We need to help this girl – but we need to be smart about it. There’s a reason she’s here, and I want to know what it is, sooner rather than later.”

Vivica reported that via her scans Jasmine appeared to be who she seemed.

Vivica said:
"Mina could be right..there is obviously room for something that can't be discerned by the situation right now BUT my abilities are saying...GURL...That's JASMINE KLEIN!"

Zizi nodded, deep in thought. This whole situation was so odd.

Ashley said:
“Insufferable hateful WENCH!”

A tornado had arrived in the form of a Valkyrie.

“Ashley! What happened? [looks around] Where’s Isis?”

Ashley said:
“It’s Helga now.”

O…kay… That one she didn’t understand. She gave Ashley a confused look.

“Huh?”

Ashley said:
“Nevermind. That bitch YOU made me go see, is not coming. She knows all about the arrival of this Jasmine chick, and she said something about, not helping us with something so unnatural blah blah. Avatar of Isis blah blah magick – she told us to ask Shadow Weaver instead.”

Oh yeah, Ashley was pissed. Which, to be honest, was sort of hard to distinguish from how she was the rest of the time, but still.

Ashley said:
“Can you BELIEVE her?! She MUST be kicked out of the group after this – why in the hell should we put up with that shit?!”

Zizi spoke to her gently, trying to use a soothing voice.

“Now calm down, Ashley, no one’s being kicked out of the group. If Isis doesn’t feel comfortable…though that doesn’t bode too well for us, does it?”

She looked over to where Jasmine – was she really Jasmine? – lay.

“Even better reason for us to figure this out quickly. Dominique’s suggestion is a good one: we need to find Shadow Weaver and get her here. And then we’ll go from there. I’ll find what information I can from here – I want to know something before she wakes up.”

Oracle said:
“I can confirm that: none of my scans have picked up on Harbinger since the battle with the Purifiers.”

She turned her head towards Zizi’s voice, pursing her lips. Confirm?

Oracle said:
“Not that you need confirming, Mina.”

“Quite.”

Oracle said:
“Oh my goodNESS – where are my manners? Mina Harker, Delilah Trelaven. Everyone else I think you both know.”

Delilah: “Nice to meet you. I remember seeing you at the Cathedral.”

“Yes. You left quite abruptly after killing the nun.”

Sharon said:
Many of us in this room now owe our current state of being to wild, even "impossible" circumstances. We can't deny Jasmine the "second chance" that so many outside of our circle will never have. I remember this young girl. I knew her from when I was a senator, before I died. She was there, battling alon side the Six against Master Mold that very night.

“That’s a lovely sentiment, but you must prepare yourselves for the very real possibility that this is not the girl you knew then. She may not be a girl at all. Caution is needed now, more than compassion.”

Sharon said:
Assuming that her mind and her memories will be in tact, She's going to want to see the Six. She's going to want to see her sisters. I don't have to be a telepath or a precog to know that.

“As I said it is extremely unlikely that that will be the case. She may want to see her sisters – but that could be the very trap she was sent her to loose.”

Mina felt a disturbance in the air which could only mean a spell. And like clockwork:

Ashley said:
“Insufferable hateful WENCH!”

That was a voice she would hear in her night terrors.

“Someone please strike me deaf as well as blind.”

Ashley said:
“That bitch YOU made me go see, is not coming. She knows all about the arrival of this Jasmine chick, and she said something about, not helping us with something so unnatural blah blah. Avatar of Isis blah blah magick – she told us to ask Shadow Weaver instead.”

“Isis is a powerful being, Valkyrie - you should not underestimate her.”

Ashley: “Oh you just shut the fuck up, before I throw you in a cage with the rest of the animals where you belong.”

“Any time you want to try, I would be happy to entertain your attempt.”

Mina took consolation in the fact that one day, Ashley would provoke the wrong person and wind up a smear of ash on the ground.

The Infirmary

Alycia said:
...I remember! Zach and I...we were in Limbo, where Karen had evacuated us when Malice and Blackout attacked illustra. Ororo! She told you all that there was a chance to SAVE Spellbinder! But NO ONE else has just come BACK from the gem.

“Not until now.”

Those memories were still hard to think about. When they thought Spellbinder was dead…Sharon WAS dead…it was one of the most horrible times of their lives. She was brought back to the present by a very perky voice.

Oracle said:
“Oh my goodNESS – where are my manners? Mina Harker, Delilah Trelaven. Everyone else I think you both know.”

Delilah regained her composure, and smiled at the woman out of habit, realizing after that she couldn’t see it.

“Nice to meet you. I remember seeing you at the Cathedral.”

Mina said:
“Yes. You left quite abruptly after killing the nun.”

Well, then. This one was a bit icy, but they weren’t here for a slumber party, it was the end result that mattered. Mina chided Sharon for wanting to help Jasmine, the girl they had both known so long ago. Ages, it seemed.

Mina said:
“That’s a lovely sentiment, but you must prepare yourselves for the very real possibility that this is not the girl you knew then. She may not be a girl at all. Caution is needed now, more than compassion.”

“Let’s cross that bridge when we come to it. Right now, as Sharon and Zizi said, Jasmine needs our help.”

The blonde from the Clocktower re-appeared, to tell them that Isis wasn’t coming and had told them to ask Karen instead. And Delilah was just about over the amateur bickering.

Ashley said:
“Oh you just shut the fuck up, before I throw you in a cage with the rest of the animals where you belong.”

Mina said:
“Any time you want to try, I would be happy to entertain your attempt.”

“Let’s focus please.”

Delilah looked to where Zizi sat.

“I agree with Zizi – the first thing we need to do is find Shadow Weaver. *I* will find her and bring her here. You all see what you can find out – see if there were any other disturbances tonight. And if she wakes up, keep her calm. Innocent until proven guilty, remember.”

Delilah started to leave.

“I’ll call Haleigh and have her pinpoint Karen’s location…”

Zizi [looking up from the control pad on her chair]: “No need. She’s at Greenwich & 10th. Half a block from Bell, Book & Candle. [pause] Traffic cams.”

Delilah nodded to her and then quickly was gone.

Charope, LLC - The Infirmary

Alycia: Zach! Don't you recognize her!?

Well of course, it's Blaze, but...

At first glance, he'd thought it was Blaze..... but now that she was adequately covered, he looked closer. There were subtle differences, he saw them now.

Delilah: Her name is Jasmine Klein. She’s Spellbinder’s half-sister.

"Oh, HER again? Awesome."

His initial look of surprise melted to one of exasperated understanding. Now he understood why Delilah didn't involve the Six. He would DEFINITELY recommend that they didn't involve Haleigh unless they had to. Haleigh and Jasmine had a tumultuous relationship, which Zach remembered all too well.

Now, people coming back from the dead wasn't all that surprising, hell, it happened all the time for them. But then Delilah revealed how Jasmine arrived, via the Seige Perilous. This was bad, very bad. In his experience, that thing was a horrifying sucking vortex that ripped people apart. He glanced from Delilah to Sharon, then to Alycia. They ALL seemed to be remembering the same terrible experience. Alycia mentioned that the only person who had ever come back from THAT was Morgan.

Mina: Zachary? Come here and give me your arm. Let’s have a look at this Jasmine Klein.

He obliged, guiding her outstretched hand to his arm gently and leading her to the bedside. He observed patiently as more intel was discovered. Mina didn't sound hopeful that this was going to have a fairytale ending, which was an opinion Zach shared even if he didn't know a lick of magic.

Sharon: Assuming that her mind and her memories will be in tact, She's going to want to see the Six. She's going to want to see her sisters. I don't have to be a telepath or a precog to know that.

"Yeah, that's understandable, but I remember her too, and the LAST time she was here?"

He shook his head with a wide eyed expression.

"Didn't go so well."

Mina: She may want to see her sisters – but that could be the very trap she was sent her to loose.

"There's also THAT."

And then Ashley appeared right in front of him, and that woman was like a force of nature, ESPECIALLY right now. Her back was turned to him and she started venting right away.

Ashley: That bitch YOU made me go see, is not coming. She knows all about the arrival of this Jasmine chick, and she said something about, not helping us with something so unnatural blah blah. Avatar of Isis blah blah magick – she told us to ask Shadow Weaver instead.

Ashley's frustration splashed over Zach like a torrent of water, but at least THIS cascade didn't dye his hair Joker green.

Mina: Isis is a powerful being, Valkyrie - you should not underestimate her.

Ashley: Oh you just shut the fuck up, before I throw you in a cage with the rest of the animals where you belong.

Mina: Any time you want to try, I would be happy to entertain your attempt.

Oh, SHIT.... it is getting HOT in here.

Zizi tried to soothe her with a calming tone. Zach reached out and began massaging Ashley's shoulders, seeping that anger out rapidly to help Valkyrie relax before she went scary-face on them. It was the least he could do after she revived him during the purifier fight. Zizi agreed that they should contact Karen. Zach didn't have any better ideas, so he looked around to see if anyone else did. Delilah volunteered and thankfully, Zizi located Karen and negated the need to involve Haleigh.

Today was a good Day....

The song blared on the radio as Mike Armstrong rolled up to the apothecary. He had some fresh flowers laying in the seat beside him and he was neatly dressed. He was planning for a nice lunch and...perhaps...an even better dessert. Nothing is more unfair than leaving your man alone and lonely on an island except for a goddess and two witches that seem to love being in what can best be called different stages of undress. Every man has needs!

And so he planned to treat his lady and spend some quality time. Stepping out of his 1968 Roadrunner , he strolled down the street to the meeting spot when he spotted something odd...

He broke into a sprint, the flowers falling away as he reached Karen in only a few strides. He saw no one harming her, and so he did what he thought best, he reached out and grasped her hands into his and tried to reach her.

Doc? KAREN?! It's Michael, honey! Snap out of it! What's wrong?

<< Karen breathes in. Her shuts her eyes. What should have been a normal blink, seemed to last an ENTERNITY as there was some odd interaction occurring>>

<<FLASH!>>

Seer:
<< this moment, which would normally unfold and pass in less than seconds, now seems to SLOW to an almost FROZEN moment in time and space. We see the pattern of Talisman's chemicals, magickal herbs, and pheremones reach and activate or DEactivate various subtle senses and processes associated with Karen's physiology. Talisman, who had been WATCHING Karen up until this moment, was deliberately exacerbating symptoms that Karen had been suffering from over the past few weeks.>>

<< That deadly first contact is made. We now see things unfold at the normal rate of speed.>>

<Her black manicured hands grabbed the doctor's arm a bit softly. >

<< A STRANGER, touching her? Shadow Weaver's personal WARDING spells SHOULD have activated and forcefully, PAINFULLY REPULSED this woman's touch! But the doctor, already suffering from various, very real symptoms, was now being tampered with on a very subtle level designed to play on her symptoms, and her disjoined emotional state, allowing Kelly to BYPASS Shadow Weaver's normally FORMIDABLE defenses.>>

<< The doctor looks down at her arm, and the woman's hand touching it. She noticed the woman's well manicured, black colored finger nails. A style choice that ALISON would be known for, but sadly, the doctor would not think anything more of that observation>>

"I don't mean to bother you, but aren't you Dr. Victoria? This may come a bit from left field, but I actually studied your work for my thesis in college. There weren't many leading female voices when I was in school, and I will thank you for not guessing what year that was."

...Yes, I am.

....

<< Karen blinks a few more times, her eyes were experiencing a tingling sensation.>>

That's very kind of you.

<< smiling a bit, doing her best to maintain her elegant, pristine presentation>>

<< Establishing a line a communication using points of professional recognition, familiarity, and even a touch of well placed humour that any professional woman of a certain age in this aegist/sexist world would appreciate. This stranger was certainly engaging and adept at social interaction, but Karen should have REMEMBERED that most SOCIOPATHS are ALSO the most CHARMING.>>

I'm sorry, I didn't get your name? What is your field of discipline/specialty?

<< A legitimate question that was easily asked from one peer or would-be colleague to another, to establish common ground, but this woman was NOT here to find common ground, Karen just didn't know it...YET.>>

< Tilting her head slightly. >

"Such a shame about your husband, Christopher. Just goes to show you that even us licensed professionals can't always determine if the people we love are going to batter our bodies or kiss our wounds, am I right?"

<< Karen looks a bit puzzled, a slight frown forms aross her face as this woman's unusually forward demeanor begins to cross what SHOULD be unspoken BOUNDARIES by leaps and bounds. The doctor wasn't even sure she'd HEARD right just now.>>

I BEG YOUR PARDON!?

<< Karen immediately responded with that sharp tone that many in the Six had come to recognize as a WARNING>>

<< The moment of curiosity and potential good will was now EVAPORATING. Karen's skills as a psychotherapist, and her own instincts, honed from the unique and sometimes TERRIFYING circumstances of her life were now telling her something was WRONG here, and this WOMAN was NO friend.>>

<< She quickly pulls her arm AWAY from Kelly's unwelcomed touch, and steps BACK.>>

<< She closes her eyes TIGHTLY, swallowing hard as she tries to get a handle on herself AND get a clearer view of who this mysterious and increasingly IMPERTINET woman was! When she opened her eyes again, she didn't feel any more focused, her vision was not what it should be in this moment, and her MAGICKS were failing her just now, it was as if she'd FORGOTTEN she had them to use! What could bring her to a place like this!?>>

<< This woman was crossing ALL the lines with Karen, NOW she was speaking directly to one of her most private, most secret FEARS! >>

<< Was this REALLY happening? Was Karen even OUT here, or was she back in the parthenon...having another NIGHTMARE!?>>

By the dark moon!?

<< Karen's mouth opened with a pained look on her face, and she she exhaled in what felt like her LAST BREATH as her heart all but STOPPED>>

<<FLASH!>>

Seer:
<< We see Karen Victoria and Kelly Shaw standing before one another, face to face. ZOOM AROUND for a clockwise, 360 view of both women, locked in this bizarre confrontation.>>

<< Our view settles on Karen, who looks HORRIFIED as we see a "DOLLY ZOOM" effect around HER as she beholds the man that turned her into a SURVIVOR, the man of her NIGHTMARES.>>

NO!!

"You can't keep this up, you're losing your grasp...and when YOU lose it...[whispers] so will they."

NO!!!!

<< Kelly may have UNDERESTIMATED her target though. SHADOW WEAVER had built strong, DEEP defenses in herself on multiple levels, to protect herself from Christopher and ensure she'd NEVER be at his mercy again. Her conscious mind may be suffering, lagging...failing her in her surface attempts to protect herself, BUT her INSTINCTS do NOT fail her, and her mana begins to manifest around her, counteracting Kelly's "parfume"...BURNING OFF it's effects on her as she shakes her head...shutting her eyes tightly, Karen was now calling on those DEEP reserves needed in times of distress...or PANIC. SET underestimated her too...and he SUFFERED for it, she even forced HIM to retreat! THAT was the moment that Karen BECAME Shadow Weaver. It was MORE than a mere code name! Karen is scared....and NOW!? SHE IS ANGRY!>>

STOP IT!

<< WHOEVER this woman really was...whatever she thought she knew about Karen, she was about to FIND OUT , if she pressed ANY FURTHER!>>

ENOUGH!

<< Thunder CRASHES in the night sky all around the area surrounded the two women...SHAKING the very AIR and space they face. >>

Kelly sensed the impending arrival of Michael via her omni-sight. She was done. For now. >

<< Shadow Weaver opens her glowing eyes, as a now increased wind around her causes her hair to flow. She's ANGRY, and having finally BUSTED LOOSE from the trance that Kelly had some how induced, she's ready to STRIKE this woman DOWN!>>

HOW DARE YOU!

<< MICHAEL ARMSTRONG was in the vicinity. He felt the wind pick up, HEARD it whistle, and then he heard HER voice, and the crash of thunder! Shadow Weaver was in confrontation with SOMEONE and he needed to get her. He moved. But as he closed in on the scene and rounded the corner...>>

HOW DARE YOU APPROACH ME, SPEAK TO ME....VIOLATE ME LIKE THIS!

JUST WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?

Arsenal said:

I shall endeavor to TEACH YOU BETTER!

<< Shadow Weaver was in confrontation mode, and ready to lash out with her magicks. Michael had come around the corner to where she was, HE was ready to join in whatever was happening and HELP HER, but to his SHOCK...he finds an APOPLECTIC Shadow Weaver confronting...SCREAMING at....>>

<< NO ONE! HERSELF!>>

Michael:
Doc? KAREN?! It's Michael, honey! Snap out of it! What's wrong?

<< He reaches her, grabbing her arm. But in her mind...it's CHRISTOPHER/TALISMAN>>

AWAY FROM ME!

<< ZAP!>>

<< Michael is forcefully and PAINFULLY REPULSED by Shadow Weaver's personal warding spells, so STRONG is the defense, that it hurts him on MULTIPLE levels and sends him staggering back. His exclamation of shock and PAIN JARS Karen out of her ENRAGED state, her green eyees blink a few times...and she realizes that her mysterious assailant is...

GONE!?

<< She didn't even realize that from MICHAEL'S point of view, no one had ever BEEN there. By the time HE reached her, he ONLY saw Karen, screaming, enraged, and ready to ATTACK....NO ONE. It was a seen EERIELY reminscent of what happened with Spellbinder in the courtyard of Melrose Place during the Barbas caper, when she thought/BELEIVED she was being attacked by RAMPAGE, and fired upon him, only to hit an APARTMENT instead.>>

<< Michael is visibly hurt by Karen's defense. She reels in horror over what's just happened. For the moment, her mind is quite clear>>

HECATE!

Michael!? When...WHERE did you come from!?

<< She rushes to him, and takes hold of his arm.>>

I'm SORRY!

I ....I was being stalked...ATTACKED by a woman, she said the most AWFUL things...and then, when I was finally able to DEFEND myself, the woman DISAPPEARED!

<< Karen places her soft, well manicured hands on his arm, and immediately counteracted the injury her ward had caused Micheal's arm, she soothed his skin, muscles, bone, cells with her magicks, and healed it, restoring it to normal state and function>>

<< Sighing, as she continues to settle>>

I'm so sorry, Michael. I didn't mean to hurt you. It was HER....that woman...she was the most awful, impertinent, OBSCENE creature...and she did something to me on a pervasive level, allowing her to bypass my normal defenses. By the time I was able to resist and fight back...she DISAPPEARED.

Coward!

<< She said, reegarding the woman's abrupt departure.>>
