Over at DC comics Geoff John's newest event is killing off in Flash, the time traveling mad man Professor Zoom is using his power to alter the very landscape of time for all Heroes. During this event 14 miniseries and tie-in issues have been announced that will showcase this strange new world (totaling nearly $149.50 at DC's current $2.99-a-comics price point).

really? cause I'm excited for this one. its a Weird elseworld with a good team writing the main series and nice groups on the mini. The only thing i don't like is the massive massive list of miniseries

Well the Flash has never been my favorite so I admit I haven't personally read much about it. But I think it's a general disillusionment with all these "Events" I've been seeing in people.

:)

yeah even fatigue has been set in for a while now, and i think it was Grant Morrison that said "if your events are fatiguing for readers there's something wrong." Maybe this one will turn things around

this from the man who flooded marvel with millions of ridiculous mutants and begged the response (house of m)?

i agree w/ vil that "events" are tiresome now. they come back to back, are costly to keep up with and what purpose do they serve in this age of retcon?

meanwhile am i to understand that wonder woman and aquaman are getting married!? who's writing wonder woman these days?

In the Flashpoint alternate reality at some point the Amazons and Atlantis merge empires and are now at war with or ruling most of Europe. My guess is that Aquaman married Hippolyta at some point and Diana is leading part of the war, since one teaser shows her in front of a burning Big Ben.

meh i still liked most of Grant's X-men run

oh and the current WW writer is J Micheal Straczynski but hes currently abandoning the series (Superman too) and I'm not sure who DC is handing them off to
