Heart Attack
I over heard some ppl @ my job today getting quite upset about images of Occupy protestors in Oakland, CA, who have been under brutal attack by police out there, burning the american flag.
These ppl were very upset & said it was "wrong", "disgusting"...one even called it "treason".
I rolled my eyes & kept going on about my business but it made me wonder what anyone here might think about that topic.
I personally don't care. I don't see burning the flag as some outrageous act of treason. it's a FLAG. yes it's the symbol of america (or whatever country you may live in, since all countries have their own flag) but its something that has been replicated 100's of times & can easily be replaced. I'll go even further & say w/ the way things in this country are right now...our gov't in bed w/ the 1% & these corporations...its not even the same country the flag is supposed to represent so then I REALLY don't have a problem w/ burning it.
