Films that make you cry!

I had never cried while watching a movie until I saw The Color Purple with Whoopi Goldberg and Oprah Winfrey among others. When I saw that movie it was like I just let out every single emotion I could think of. It gets me everytime I watch it. It is just so heartbreaking and yet inspiring and is my all time favorite movie.

I mean when frieken Danny Glover tries to sleep with Celie's sister Nettie and she gets away from him and he makes her leave and they just cry and cry as he is throwing rocks at them and beating them. Then they play the hand game with each other through the fence and she vows to write Celie everyday! Man! I am welling up right now lol!

Oh and then when she finds out that Danny Glover had been hiding her letter through the years and finds her children! And what happens to Sophia with the White Family who wanted her to be their maid! And when she reunites with her sister! MAN that movie is so good.

I swear I cried nearly from beginning to end and at the end I had a big ass grin on my face lmao.

I just watched Finding Neverland, and I have to say, the ending got me completely. The film was beautiful and inspired; it portrayed the idea of Peter Pan in a whole new, richer light. The visual imagery was astonishing, and the acting so great that I could not help but engage with the characters to such an extent that when Sylvia truly discovered the magic of Neverland, my eyes completely filled up, since the moment was perfect, edifying, and moving.

I've never cried watching a movie until a month after my sister died I watched 4 Weddings and a Funeral I cried during the funeral speech. Heck I haven't cried sense watching a movie. I must be too macho or insensitive in general.

I guess the older I've become the more sensitive I am to sad movies. Perhaps being in the gulf war plays a part of it too, wasn't so sensitive before then.

Wow...there are a few for me.....Older movies like Love Story and Old Yeller. Also....Meet Joe Black and John Q. I watched John Q not because of what it was about though but because of how HOT Denzel is. Ended up loving the movie and balling. Pay It Forward was another as well as my all time favorite movie House Of Flying Daggers. The ending to that is just beautifully tragic.

Steel Magnolias. The scene in the cemetary after Sally Fields daughter dies and she flips out saying she's just angry because her daughter will never live and her grandson will never know his mother. Heartbreaking. I also cried watching White Oleander. That movie is just so flawless. If you haven't seen it watch it. Garden State. Walk the Line. I just watched Step Up and that made me cry. The Notebook. So many more I couldn't name them all. I'm a weakling. I cry very easily.

Okay when it comes to television and movies i can get very emotional and cry at most of them lol.
I cried when watching 'the notebook' but to be fair i think most girls cry at that movie. I also cried at 'the lion king' (when mufasa dies) all of the time when i was younger but i didn't think i would still cry at it so i watched it last week and...well......i still cried like i did when i was a kid.
There are many more movies i cry at but those are the two that always come to mind when i think of movies that make me cry.

ET gets me every freakin' time. The end with the music, the fact that ET has to go home, everyone saying goodbye....omg. Seriously, no matter how many times i've seen it, I WILL cry lol.

Finding Neverland - Like mentioned above, the ending is BEAUTIFUL. It always makes me cry....Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet are amazing in that film.

Homeward Bound - At the end when Shadow finally makes it home. It's a happy cry lol.

There are so many others, I just can't think of them. I'm just a sap when it comes to movies. Seriously. I ALWAYS cry during them lol.

Truthfully i used to never cry when watching movies, but every since i was pregnant with my son almost all movies with a sad part or really happy touching part i start to get tears in my eyes that i try to hide so my mom doesnt laugh lol.

but i know A Walk to Remember always does it to me, and oh god I watched Marley and Me, oh boy did i cry at the end.
