Favorite Team?

[The Doctor]

I love super hero teams. There is just something majestic about seeing a group of super heroes beat the crap out of a super-villain and I was wondering...which is your favorite team of all time? Now...ever since they announced this line-up I knew that I would love it forever and even though I haven't got the comic yet the tale of these heroes has become quite popular throughout the comic-loving community. I mean it's like when they paired the Breakfast Club up...it was perfection. However this team is a little different but still has that same sense of twisted perfection that came with the Breakfast Club. My favorite super-hero team of all time is none other than...

THE DIRTY HALF-DOZEN

Now please note that this thread is not restricted to your favorite Marvel teams. It can be anybody! Got a favorite Anime, DC, Indy, etc. team? Then by all means share them with us! This is a place for discussion and what better subject to discuss then our favorite super hero teams right? Anyways...onward with the discussion!

Wow. Great topic idea for a thread. So many choices...I'm gonna go with something a little less conventional than X-Men or the Justice League and say (drumroll)

Runaways!!!

It's just a great new take on the superhero genre with an interesting cast of characters with a lot of emotional depth. Not to mention, it's just funny as hell. Seeing Wolverine get his ass handed to him by a girl with a bunny hat on is more satisfying than a shower after sex (as opposed to the actual sex, which with me is usually nothing to write home about).

Joss Whedon has been writing it lately and doesn't seem to want to really make a major mark on the storyline, but the series has a record of killing off major characters and throwing in some very interestings plots twists. Check it out if you got the time and money - it's great.

[Black King]

i was going to go with the high powered team but when i saw this pic i just had to go with StormWatchHD (Post Human Division). not sure if they quality cause most aren't actually super. First created as an alternative to high budget responses squads to fight posthuman outlaws.they are underfunded and overworked, their mission is to find "cost-effective" methods of saving the day. \ former Weatherman Jackson King.
NYPD officer John Doran,
a depowered Fahrenheit,
a former Stormforce soldier codenamed Paris,
a master manipulator and former moll to supervillains called Gorgeous,
a former sorcerer's apprentice named Black Betty,
a shape-shifting ex-supervillain and forensics expert named Dr. Mordecai Shaw a.k.a the Monstrosity,
an ex-supervillain and technology expert called the Machinist.

**BTW Best new book of 2007 read it**

I cant even say the "X-men" anymore, as i've long ceased to care about them.

i really don't have a CURRENT favorite team, but i'll tell you who i LOVED in the 90's

The Femizons

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Femizons

women who collectively channelled a wide and deadly array of powers and took on everyone from the squadron supreme to the avengers. they certainly let Captain America's ass have it LOL!!

[Scarlett]

I would have to say currently my favorite team is The Runaways. They all have really unique and fun powers and the way they came together and how they handle their situation is really fun to read about.

[willblade]

Guardians of the Galaxy...they have Rocket Raccoon. That alone equals pure win. Haha...it is actually a great series and quickly became one of my favorite things to come out of the whole Annihilation series. Great team they created here. Check 'em out if you haven't.

[Arsenal]

The Defenders were my favorite. Ghost Rider, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Daimon Hellstron, Hellcat, The Valkyrie, Silver Surfer, Gargoyle, Moonstone (if I remember correctly)...absolutely awesome.
