Booze and sex...who could resist?

Nicolas followed the sashaying asses of Delilah and Ava to the entrance to the sub-basement, or as he would now call it, the Dungeon of Vice. Courtney had stocked it with booze and Ava was bringing the sex with her, leading the way. HE watched the pair enter in front of him, and then he stepped to the door...

and paused. He saw SOMETHING. A man? A SHAPE? Not sure what it was. He attempted to track it, using his eyes to lead to where it should have been heading....but nothing. Nothing at all. Was Courtney fucking with him? She had been opening up a bit. But no...this was not her MO. She was more into up-front pranks if she did them at all. He started to step over to investigate further, but he dismissed it. He shook his head. Ava interrupted his thoughts with her voice.

Baby, where are you? You coming?

Yeah...thought I saw something, but it was just a shadow.

Nicolas followed the voice inside, closing the door behind him.

Carole's apartment

<< Carole was a bit startled and her opal blue eyes flashed with consternation as Michael grabbed hold of her and kissed her deeply before she pulled away in astonishment.>>

Michael said:
Do you know why I did that?

<<Carole, normally not one to be without words, silently looked, mouth agape, then shook her head 'no'.>>

Michael said:
I did that because I find you irresistible, but I also did it to let you know how I feel. I will be honest with you. I want to spend the weekend making passionate love to you.

if only it were that simple...

Michael said:
But I want MORE to understand you and put your mind at ease. You are under tremendous stress and I am here to help you relax, however that needs to be done. The ball, my dear, is firmly in your court.

oh michael...you finally convinced me to come to this moment, where I reveal to you who i REALLY AM and how I came to be HERE. We'll see if YOU remain when you know the truth...if *I* can even go on after this.

Michael said:
Mike leaned in and kissed her forehead this time then settled in, pulling the sorceress close and holding her...

Michael...

<< Carole welcomes his embrace...closing her eyes as a tear falls from the corner of one of her eyes. To be seen as a WOMAN rather than the "infamous mother of that creature"...to be LOVED...to have a man who'd prooven to be true & trustworthy thus far in spite of all that he didnt know and all that seemed strange even for Hillcrest. Carole could not deny the gift that she'd some how come upon and in spite of everything else, she'd always tried to demonstrate the depth of gratitude and love she had for Michael. She felt that tonight...finally...IF he could know her for who she REALLY IS and still remain, that she could FULLY love him.>>

<< but for now, to enjoy the moment of closeness, comfort and intimacy with someone who had earned her trust, to not have to wear the armour that she did out in public, knowing that she was now turning on a good path with BOTH her daughter and her lover...she wanted...NEEDED to enjoy this moment.>>

Delilah was looking 80s fabulous in her Jem costume. She and Ava made their way to the sub basement, joined by Nicolas on the way. She stopped and turned, rolling her eyes at Nicolas standing in the doorway like an idiot. Luckily Ava called to him and he came inside.

"Don't bother trying to scare Ava - that girl has Halloween running through her veins."

Reaching the sub-basement, she got started on the last minute touches to the place she'd brought with her.

"What time did you tell everyone to show up? I hope Courtney gets here before then."

Delilah wanted to find out exactly WHAT had happened with her mother - and to tell her how much they appreciated her choosing to attend THEIR party rather than go to Boston.

Delilah was so 80's, and Ava was so 70's in her Woodstock inspired attire. Of course she had to play up her body and make the costume sexy, but it was still fun and flirty. After opening the door to the building where the party was being held, Ava was heading to the sub-basement when she paused and turned around seeing only Delilah.

"Baby, where are you?"

Not seeing Nicolas, she stopped and finally spotted him standing by the entry door looking outside curiously.

"You coming?"

He finally made his way into the building and everyone started heading down to the sub-basement. Delilah asked when Courtney was coming and Ava pulled out her iPhone from the hip of her skirt to look at the time.

"She should be here soon. I told everyone 11 and it's 10:30."

Finally reaching the room where the party was being held, there were tons of white candles of all sizes placed around the room, the wax already looking like they had been burned one too many times. Delilah had the rest of the decorations in a duffle bag, giving them a half hour to finish decorating before Morgan, Alcide, and a few select others arrived.

"Nic, help me start lighting the candles. Lilah, you can start putting the decorations up."

Taking out two long lighters meant for a barbeque grill from the duffle bag, she tossed one to Nicolas and began to light the hundreds of candles placed throughout the room.

into the night

<< Ava, Nicolas and Delilah made the scene, as stand out "in costume" as they were in every day life.>>

<< in the halloween hideaway, finishing up the last minute touches, other select students from the small guest list begin to arrive.>>

<< Delilah and Ava were looking for Courtney. They would not have to wait much longer at all and now, the party was off to a smooth start. >>

<< to watch the young people playing as hard as they worked at hillcrest would almost make one forget that there was mortal physical danger roaming the grounds of the secluded private school.>>

<< too bad this evening would soon lose its luster...going from fun and festive to dark and harrowing. some of the party goers would not live to tell about it while others would be forever changed.>>

<<and >>

<< back at Carole's apartment, she and Michael settle into what will most likely be a wonderful weekend for them both. Carole also plans to reveal herself to Michael, just as Courtney does to her friends.>>

<< The two adults enjoy their time of privacy and closeness while the kids move toward a night of wild fun.>>

<< ALL are on a collosion course with disaster.>>

joining the fun

<< a flash of violet hued light indicates the manifestation of a stepping disc.>>

<< from the disc, Courtney emerges. Not late enough to be "fashionably late" but not "on time" either. always on her own time and in her own way, as she did most things.>>

<< she never got to tell Dee what costume she might choose...she hadnt thought about it, being that this was never a day she celebrated. but as she had prooven to be full of surprises to her friends time and recently, this evening would be another instance of that.>>

<< as Ava, Delilah and Nicolas saw Courtney arrive, they saw her in her COSTUME as well.>>

<< It was a complete look. Hair, make up and all and a marvelous homage to Madonna. if any of them had speculated what she might wear...the actuality may or may NOT have been surprising but her costume significantly altered her appearence to the point that some others in attendance didnt immediately recognize her. that was fine. she didnt care about the others, she only looked forward to spending the evening with her FRIENDS.>>

<< Noticeably, instead of wearing the necklace w/ magnifying glass pendant Madonna had worn w/ this outfit, Courtney was wearing her beautiful Beatrice Medallion, the curious and clearly exquisite piece of jewelry they'd seen her with hours earlier in downtown beacon hill.>>

<< Courtney's choice of costume was more than a little "inspired". She loved Madonna, but this outfit was showcased in the smash hit song "Express Yourself" and THAT was her personal theme. Tonight she'd tell her only true friends her secret. She'd EXPRESS herself in a way they'd never seen before, so for her...this costume was more than a mere departure from her dark glam/goth presentation or playing "dress up"...it was her own creative PROP for what would be a most memorable evening.>>

<< she looked upon Ava, Nicolas and Delilah. Soon her severe facial expression softened into a slight smile as they continued to stare at her.>>

Well...no mystic chains for me tonight. In fact...no "CHAINS" at all. My mother thinks I'm in Boston, but I decided to be here with you all.

<< each of them has a different expression on their face. Particularly Nicolas.>>

What? You don't like my costume?

Nicolas was done lighting candles and was busying himself as the scantily-clad "life of the party' in his Conan costume when Courtney made her appearance looking...well just damn.

Time to admit it, jaw dropped and briefs tightened JUST a bit.

<< she looked upon Ava, Nicolas and Delilah. Soon her severe facial expression softened into a slight smile as they continued to stare at her.>>

What do you think?

Nicolas was recklessly eyeballing her and she was taking her fair share of meat in as well. He smirked a bit as he kept his gaze on her.

Glad you could make it. You owe me a dance and, looking like THAT, you better be able to move that ass.

<< Courtney rolls her eyes and groans a bit as Nicolas does what he does best. Still, he meant no harm. It was kind of nice that he was [no longer] afraid to friendly flirt with her. so many of the boys on campus were and while she didnt mind being feared by most, she sometimes wished she could be more like Ava and Delilah...more "approachable" by some guys.>>

please. when it comes to "moves", WHO has a 7 out of 7 on the speed scale?

<< she smirks as she refers to her own charting for speed due to her teleporting power. aside from that, she loved to dance- THEY just didnt know that because she rarely displayed her personal interests to them.>>

you just better make sure you can keep up.

<< he could be just amusing as he was infuriating. it was part of his overall charm she supposed. but standing there dressed like conan the barbarian...it was all at once amusing and SURPRISINGLY sexy. she'd never bothered to LOOK at him before but now it was almost impossible to avoid taking at least ONE lingering look...even for the icy ball busting glam/goth bitch in heels on campus.>>

Ava, << the girl was dressed as a sexy flower child from the 60's.>> I'm usually not one for these little parties but this here?

<< looking around for a moment and taking in the setting, music etc>>

not bad!

My mom surprised me this evening. She let me go to the other gathering I told you & Dee about this morning but...after everything else...I decided to come here instead. It just felt like a better fit to me.

<< looking to Delilah, who was dressed as JEM.>>

And I have something I need to tell you all. But later tonight when its more private.

For now...I want a DRINK.

<< Courtney immediately makes her way toward the makeshift "bar" and begins pouring/mixing herself a concoction. a very STRONG one.>>

Courtney said:
What? You don't like my costume?

"Courtney!"

Delilah smiled, delighted that her friend had really shown up, and hugged her hello.

"I'm so glad you decided to come! You look great."

To Delilah, friendship was the most important thing, and that Courtney would chose them over something else she really wanted meant everything.

Nicolas said:
Glad you could make it. You owe me a dance and, looking like THAT, you better be able to move that ass.

Delilah's eyes darted worriedly to Ava. She knew Courtney meant nothing by it, but Delilah wasn't sure how much Ava was okay with Nicolas flirting with someone else.

Courtney wandered over to get a drink and Delilah followed. She watched Courtney pour herself a very large drink.

"Whoa - pace yourself, girl. I am NOT spending my evening holding your hair back while you puke."

Delilah winked, showing her friend she was joking. Then her expression turned serious.

"Is everything okay? With your mom and...everything?'

Everyone had arrived. It was a nice group of seven people including herself, Delilah, and Nicolas; the only person missing was--

Delilah: Courtney!

"Hey, you made it!"

Ava's smile grew as Courtney finally arrived. The party was now complete! Everyone who Ava had invited was here, and now it was time to finally let loose and have fun. Courtney was dressed as Madonna, an odd choice considering Ava didn't know Courtney even liked Madonna. Then again, Courtney was full of surprises considering she was just now starting to open up to them. However the sweet greeting took an obnoxious turn as Nicolas openly let his tongue wag for Courtney. And the crazy thing was, Ava could see Courtney openly checking out Nicolas. Raising a brow as she watched them interact, Nicolas asked for a dance--basically pouncing on Courtney the second she walked in the door. Ava caught Delilah's look from the corner of her eye, but Ava just scoffed softly and rolled her eyes.

Courtney: Ava, I'm usually not one for these little parties but this here? not bad!

"Thanks."

She responded in an even tone.

"We need more ice."

And with that, she walked away and headed out of the room and down the dark corridor towards the kitchen where the ice machine was. Annoyed, Ava usually wasn't one to get jealous. Why should she? She could get any guy at Hillcrest. But for whatever reason Nicolas' blinding flirtation with Courtney, and Courtney actually reciprocating, was getting under her skin. Nicolas always tried to flirt with Courtney, but she turned him down flat everytime. Perhaps it was the fact that Ava knew nothing would every come from it. But now that Courtney was becoming more open with them....it left the door wide open for Nicolas to actually pursue his interests.

Huffing out, this insecurity crap was annoying. She was so not the insecure, jealous girlfriend! Why was she feeling like this?! Then--BANG.

Jumping with a gasp, Ava turned around seeing nothing but the pitch black corridor she had just walked down.

"Hello...?"

No one answered. She was beginning to rethinking walking around in the empty building alone...

<< Curiously, Ava departs the scene for more Ice? Courtney was unaware of Ava's discomfort with the interaction between herself and Nicolas. In her mind, Nicolas was merely doing what he always does but he already knew what it would lead to...NOTHING. Courtney indulging his "request" for a dance at the party was the most she'd EVER given him for his repeated flirtation but it would not go anywhere from there.>>

<< four way split fame view of Ava, Delilah, Nicolas and Courtney- in their costumes.>>

<< It was a testimony to Courtney's personal growth and the reemergence of some of her past aspects- the bond she had forged with Delilah and the friendship she had accepted from Ava. Even moreso, the dramatic change in the dynamic between herself and nicolas. In the beginning , Nicolas had tried to pick on her, playing a cruel practical joke on her. She retaliated for revenge in a way that left him in a state that FEW before or since could have caused- FEAR. Had Ava and Delilah NOT intervened and actively mediated between them for a sustained period of time, the relationship between Courtney and Nicolas would have taken a dark direction, becoming increasingly antagonistic and hostile and eventually resulting in brutal conflict and given the unique power sets of each of them...the outcome would have most certainly been tragic.>>

<< The four of them were necessary to each other and Courtney had finally allowed herself to accept that, acknowledging that they willingly filled a painfull void in her left that was caused when her brother murdered all of her original friends and her sister. Individually they were standouts as OMEGA level mutants at Hillcrest. TOGETHER as a quartet, they were something much more...a team...a FAMILY, though they couldnt lable it as such, it was subconscious.>>

<< Today's events alone, marked a rapid deepening of the bond between them all. But despite all the emotional/psychological dynamics and observations one could draw watching them, the bottom line was that they were still kids. youthfull mutants possessed of great power AS WELL as the awkwardness of continued growth, transition, hormones and the like...Ava's reaction to Nicolas and Courtney's interaction was a reminder of that.>>

<< Ava needn't worry though. In fact, if Courtney had ever found out what she was thinking, she'd probably smack her for being "so dramatic" , as Courtney often called her "Scarlett O'hara" in bitchy jest.>>

<< back to events at hand>>

You won't have to tonight. It's already pulled back!

<< Courtney sticks her tongue out at Dee in response to her joke>>

<< Delilah was concerned about the situation between Courtney and her mom.>>

<< Courtney took a GULP of her drink before responding>>

No...but for the first time...things are changing. They...WE may be "okay"...or something like it after all.

<< it sounded kind of cryptic, and yet, the tone of Courtney's voice suggested a "hope" that hadnt been there before.>>

You might think she let me go just because Mike Armstrong was coming over to spend the weekend with her, but it was more than that. I finally saw a glimpse of my MOM rather than "The Warden" or "Headmistress Dr. Starr"

<< she said as she held her drink and looked down into the swirling concoction>>

I feel like I can...BREATHE again. Like it's no longer a crime to be....

<< eldritch chimes sound off in the air as she turns to look at Delilah. curiously, a ray of SHADOW seems to cast partially across her face, particularly her EYES.>>

MYSELF.

scarey cat

<< Even the charismatic, well put together, powerfull young mutant Ava couldn't escape the trappings of human emotion. She experienced discomfort and agitation at Nicolas' OVERT flirtation with Courtney and Courtney's response which far different from her usual flat out rejection and dismissal of him.>>

<< Courtney often seemed cold and aloof to most young men on campus. Those who tried to pursue, court or harrass her suffered the consequences. Nicolas was no exception, as Ava well remembered. If not for her and Delilah's efforts, those two might have become true enemies, which in turn would have presented a serious concern to the teaching staff, but thankfully that never happened and after all this time Ava spent establishing Courtney's trust and building a real friendship with her...she knew in her heart of hearts Courtney wouldn't betray her like this.>>

<< Still, it would be unsettling for ANYONE to see their boyfriend, scantily clad and showcasing a spectacular physique, openly flirting with the one of the most mysterious girls that was seemingly unattainable to anyone, only to find that girl responding in a way OTHER than her usual response of rejection.>>

<< so wrapped up was Ava in her own issue of concern at the moment, that she was startled by some movement and then a large BANG from somewhere in the dark hall she was now in.>>

<< In this subbasement, many relics and archives of Hillcrest were stored. It was a sturdy place but in the darkness like this it was also rather eerie. With the halls, rooms, doors, turns and more...it was quite possible that something ELSE could be here, something no one would want to find.>>

<< the sounds of the party were faint and muted, only Ava's heart beat and breathing were front and center as she moved along the dark corridor and reached the room where the sound had come from.>>

<< in this room, there were several large globes and other pieces from the library stored. nothing terribly remarkable but SOMETHING made that sound...or SOMEONE? From insecurity to paranoia? Maybe it was just the product of an emotionally charged evening for her?>>

<< She slowly entered in, feeling along the wall for a light switch.>>

<< As soon as she felt it and flicked it up, the old lights flickered a bit before finally turning on fully. But JUST as her eyes were adjusting...>>

<< a SCREECHING, HOWLING sound is heard, and suddenly the SHAPE of something comes FLYING OUT from an open box!>>

<< Ava understandibly lets out a START as the shape makes CONTACT with her, causing her to stumble and trip over the leg of one of the large floor model globes and fall back into a stack of half filled/empty boxes>>

<< the SHAPE is...a CAT. A stray that Courtney had found on the grounds of Hillcrest one night during a bad storm and brought here to keep safe and hidden. She, Delilah, Ava and even Nicolas all helped in caring for the cat, keeping it fed, making a little bed for it and playing with it. But keeping it well hidden for students were not allowed to have pets in their dorms. It was another one of the secrets the four kept amongst themselves.>>

<< So there was the source of the BANGING and other little noises Ava had just heard. The cat meows as it scampers off leaving a startled Ava to pick herself up and collect herself.>>

<< It's Halloween after all. Everyone's entitled to ONE good scare, right?>>

<< Just the cat, rummaging around and probably more scared by Ava than she by it. She couldnt help but laugh a bit at how this had all turned out, and soon, she was on her way back to the party.>>

<< what she didnt know...what hadn't occurred to her was that there might have been something or someONE ELSE there that had scared the cat away. Something lurking silently in the shadows, bathed in darkness and silence as only a HUNTER and PREDATOR could be.>>

"Thanks."

She responded in an even tone.

"We need more ice."

And with that, she walked away and headed out of the room and down the dark corridor towards the kitchen where the ice machine was.

Huh?

Nicolas turned as Ava walked out of the room. He felt her discomfort and...insecurity?! Nicolas was FLOORED. Ava was the hottest girl on campus and his BOO. Sure, he LOOKED because he had eyes and he was a young guy...but Courtney was just a momentary distraction in his mind. Hot as hell for real, but he saw her as a friend. COULD he hit it if she gave him a shot? SURE. But not if the trade-off was hurting Ava. THAT was his girl. And so he went smoothly after her, determined to make this right. He was a charmer and flirtation was one of his weapons in that regard but he had stayed good while with Ava, turning down a LOAD of ass on-campus.

He walked down the hallway...it was dark as hell, causing his TK to ping a bit to slightly augment his vision. He did not see her. He continued down to where the icemaker was, looking for Ava to make things right...

Delilah laughed as Courtney returned her "porcelain goddess" joke.

Courtney said:
You won't have to tonight. It's already pulled back!

"Planning ahead, were you?"

The subject turned to Courtney and her mother.

Courtney said:
No...but for the first time...things are changing. They...WE may be "okay"...or something like it after all. I feel like I can...BREATHE again. Like it's no longer a crime to be...MYSELF.

Delilah looked strangely at Courtney for a moment, that last sentence bringing with it a strange sadness, a sense of foreboding. But Delilah shook it off just as quickly as it had come to her, smiling brightly and squeezing Courtney's hand.

"I'm so happy things are looking up for you - and I'm glad you came."

She looked around, seeing that Ava and Nicolas were surprisingly (or not so surprisingly, but it WAS early) absent.

"Uh...why don't you choose some music, Courtney?"

She gave her friend a conspiratorial smile.

"And then things can REALLY get out of hand."

<< Nicolas had gone off to find Ava but of COURSE they'd have to return. After all, this was AVA's party. Still...Courtney...MORGAN was by no means a wallflower.>>

well...

<< gulping more of her concoction down.>>

there's something I DO feel like doing right now.

<< quickly turning her head to look toward the stereo, she unknowlingly smacks an unsuspecting passerby with her barbie doll pony tail. across his face. Delilah can't help but laugh a bit at the unintended slapstick moment.>>

Dancing like a slut!

<< swallowing down the rest of her drink with alarming speed, she grabs Delilah's hand and rushes over to the stereo.>>

<< she begins to change the music and looks over at Delilah.>>

Ester Dean, Drop it Low!

<< and as the song begins with booming bass, those in attendance are ignited with an excited to dance and cut loose! what would Dr. Starr say? WHO CARES!>>

<< and with that, Courtney leads Delilah to the center of the small impromptu dance floor amongst the guests and the begin to dance with a vengeance.>>

help me out, dee! give us a SPOTLIGHT!

<< and soon "Madonna" and "Jem" were joined by two other students, one of whom Delilah had her eye on from earlier and the other, a cocky young man named Bobby Dacosta aka the solar powered mutant SUNSPOT dances up on Courtney, who surprisingly doesnt react violently but instead welcomes him in closer. the beat and song drives them all along.>>

<< there would be plenty of time to be serious soon enough. for now, Courtney NEEDED this time to cut loose. she needed to revel in what was a TRUE taste of more FREEDOM. >>

Courtney said:

"Well, you should be good at it by now."

Delilah stuck out her tongue and then laughed as Courtney pulled her out to dance.

Courtney said:
Help me out, Dee! give us a SPOTLIGHT!

Delilah was happy to oblige, not only highlighting Courtney but also using her powers to create a "mirror ball" effect as more and more of the guests decided to dance.

Bobby and Alcide started dancing with them, and Delilah shouted to Courtney over the music.

"Too bad Ava's missing her own party!"

well really it's an ESTER DEAN song that just happens to FEATURE CB :p LOL!
Stupidly, Ava went to investigate what the noise was. As she was feeling her way around the dark hallways, it dawned on her that SHE was the stupid hot girl that got killed first in slasher flicks.

"Great."

She deadpanned. Finally reaching a room where she heard the bang, Ava didn't get two steps in before a black cat came flying out at her, hissing. Screaming, she fell back onto her ass and started to crack up.

"Jesus Christ."

She said between laughs. Shaking her head, she watched the cat scamper down the hallway and disappear. It was the cat they had been feeding the past few weeks and it must of gotten trapped in the room. Pushing herself up off the ground, she began to dust herself off.

"Okay, everyone's entitled to a good scare on Halloween. You [the cat] got me good."

Re-adjusting herself, Ava began to hear foot steps coming towards her. Looking down the dark hallway, now she knew THAT wasn't the cat. Her brows furrowed until realizing it was Nicolas. Sighing out, she rolled her eyes.

"Sneaking up on a girl in the dark? Not very gentlemanly."

Ava began to walk toward him and then PASSED him.

"But then again, neither is getting a HARD ON for your girlfriend's friend."

Ava waved her hand dismissing what he was about to say. With a scoff.

"Sex is SO out for you tonight, buddy. [turning around in mid walk, she continued to walk backwards] Which sucks because i'm extremely horny."

Turning back around as she walked, Ava smirked wickedly knowing exactly how to work Nicolas and in what ways. But at the same time, she was also trying to hide the fact that she was legitimately concerned for loosing him to his infatuation with Courtney. It was an irrational fear, but then again, Ava WAS only 16.

Nicolas heard a bit of a scuffle, but he saw the cat run past and realized that it was only it and Ava getting acquainted. He walked up to her, the smoothness pretty much gone, intending to say something important to her when she STROLLED past.

It did hit in one way like a ton of brick, because he was SO ready to wax ass. But there was something else...and he needed to say it.

Hey baby...I can take my punishment tonight as long as you know...

He reached out and turned her quickly but gently round.

YOU are the only girl I REALLY want. Sure I look, and I....I'm SORRY if it made you mad about Courtney or anything else but...you gotta know babe...it's all about you. So if it's off tonight, so be it. I probably deserve it. But I know I am lucky to have you. You are my girl, my best friend, all that.

He gave Ava the look that always melted her. He had a good thing and he knew it, and he did not want to fuck it up over a flirtation that was going nowhere with a girl that was as unavailable as she was fine...moreso even.. And so he told her how he REALLY felt and gave her a hug in the darkened hallway. Nicolas pulled back and looked at her.

We cool baby?

He looked at her poker face for an answer. He would feel it as soon as she did.

Feeling Nicolas' hand on her wrist, Ava sighed as he spun her around and stopped her from walking. Avoiding eye contact with him, he began to apologize. Not the typical "Nicolas" apology where he cracked jokes and tried to make her laugh. But a sincere one--one that actually showed he CARED. Ava's eyes lifted to meet his, but her face remained even.

Nicolas: We cool baby?

Ava remained silent for a few moments before breaking eye contact and looking down. A small smile tugged on her lips.

"Yeah."

She responded softly before looking back up at him.

"We're cool."

Her stoned expression had softened into the normal inviting expression she always had.

"I admit, I overreacted. BUT...."

With a smirk, her voice changed into a cutesy "girly" voice.

"I don't like other people playing with my toys."

Toys being a reference to Nicolas, Ava cracked a smile and turned around, taking Nicolas' hand in hers.

"Common Casanova, lets get back to the party."

She could hear the base of the music echoing down the hall.

"...annnnnd....maybe sex is still on."

Giggling, she knew Nicolas was hers despite his flirtations with Courtney. And she knew that Courtney would never pursue Nicolas. However, having mutant DNA didn't cancel out normal teenage hormones and emotions. Ava had a 90210 moment, but fortunately, she also had a boyfriend who knew exactly what to say to ease her insecurities. After all the drama within the past 15 minutes, she was ready to drink, dance, and party with all her friends!

As he knew, he felt it before she said it. All was forgiven and better still, SHE was OK. Best of all, now that she was no longer upset, Nic could sense that she would indeed be doing the do tonight. He could hardly wait...it had been at LEAST 2 or 3 days since their last encounter and she knew he needed his medicine. :makeout:

He walked back to the party with her, popping her on the ass with a SLIGHT sting as they entered.

Now girl...show me how you can shake that thang. Last one to the dance floor is on the bottom later on.

Nicolas flashed his winning smile at Ava and pretended to dash towards the dance floor. He let her win though...she loved being on top.
