Ororo begins to help everyone to their feet, clearly relieved to have escaped Oberon's kingdom. Her attempt to break the spell on Amarisy were only partially successful. Amarisy's eyes had lost all color and her vision was now partially impaired. She was able to see large shapes but finer details escaped her. Rama's feet would haveto heal on their own and wihle no more damage was being done to them, they still pained him greatly as he could not bear any weight on them.

Ororo:"Welcome to my Garden everyone. We will be safe here. Rest for awhile, you will find fresh clothing up at the pavillion after you bathe. I will prepare refreshments."

Ororo leaves them to enter her home and begin preparing food and drink for them all.

:: Euthalia smiled as Ororo left them out in the garden. ::

"Well, that was very odd, I've never really been enchanted by anything, but new things always happen. "

:: She said, it had been a while since she had actually spoken, not thought. ::

"Do you two feel any better?"

:: She asked Rama and Amy. ::

:: After finally escaping the city and then falling from another jolt of pain. As Rama suddenly found himself in Ororo's garden he watched as she tried to undo Oberon's spell on Amy and saw as she partially undid it. He nodded as she informed him that she could not do anything for his feet. ::

"Perfectly alright, I always liked flying moreso than walking anyways."

:: Rama smiles happily being out of that accursed court. He sees the bathing area and floats over to it. He goes in for a dip, careful of his feet. After bathing he flies out to the pavillion and puts on fresh clothes. He then hovers in the air awaiting the others ::

*She landed on the ground with a thump, after the group had been knocked out of the sky. She laid there, wondering what was going on when she felt light heat on her face. She touched it to see her nose and mouth reforming, and her eyes were back...sort of. She looked up at a disfigured form of Ororo and nodded, taking her hand as she stood up. She walked over to the pool of water for them to bathe and missed the edge, falling straight into the water. She cleaned herself as best she could, then started to get out of the pool and stopped.*

"Erm...anyone mind giving me my clothes??"

*She waited until someone threw her things to her and then got out of the pool, hiding in a corner of the garden to put them on before walking back out to the rest of the group. She placed her hand on a tree in the garden, just in case, waiting for whatever was next to come.*

:: Following Rama, she landed on the ground. She flashed him a warm smile before mouthing "Thank You" to him for aiding her in the ride there. Her eyes slowly wandered the Garden - of course, it was enchanting and more beautiful than she could ever imagine. Maia giggled at the sight of Amaris falling into the pool and helped her up. She dipped her feet in the water first, letting her body temperature get used to its'. Sliding carefully in the pool, she bathed herself quickly then looked up at a pile of clothes and grabbed it while still in the pool and changed as she got out ::

She's done so much for us... We should repay her.

:: She sat down on the grass, leaning on her forearms, as she closed her eyes a bit, trying to relax from all the drama that happened at the Trial ::

Ororo returns shortly with refreshments and having changes into a loose fitting robe. Seeing that everyone is managing to relax and recuperate, she sits down on one of the chairs. She knows that this time of rest is only going to last a short time. They would need to continue on their journey and she would need to focus on warding her Gardens against intrusion by Oberon and his forces.

She sets her drink down and addresses the group:"Your time here is short. I have preparations to make and you will need to continue on your journey by morning. I will be able to shorten your travel a great deal, but your quest will still prove to be dangerous and difficult. When you reach the mountain, you will have to climb it. Belasco's spells nullify flight in the mountains vacinity. I will do what I can to keep the beasts that live on the mountain away from you, but be prepared to fight for your lives. Once you have reached the top and enter the castle you will very likely find yourself facing Belasco's bodyguard and servant. The creatures name is S'ym and I cannot stress strongly enough just how dangerous he is. His stregnth is unbelievable, capable of breaking adamantium and he is nearly completely invulnerable. The only chance you will stand is by using your wits.

If you manage to subdue S'ym then you should be able to find Belasco within his throne room. As dangerous as S'ym might be, Belasco is a thousand times worse. He is a master swordsman and one of the most powerful sorcerers to ever walk the face of the planet. His one weakness lies in the fact that he is completely blind. Its the Eye of Fire that grants him the semblance of sight by granting him a type of radar sense. Children, you must not underestimate him! I have faced him myself and nearly lost my soul in the fight and that was before he had the Eye. I will leave you now to seek your rest. Come morning you may leave by following this path(pointing down a long winding path that hadn't been there before). Food and supplies will be waiting for you when you wake. Good night and good luck, my friends."

Ororo steps into her home and shuts the door behind her, leaving the others to talk among themselves.

:: Euthalia listened to Ororo carefully, knowing that whatever she said must be true. She waited until after Ororo had left the garden to say anything. ::

"S'ym sounds alot like a titan if you ask me. Though he's probably just some creature from another part of the planet or even from the cosmos. "

:: She said, picking up a glass of water at the same time. ::

:: Frowning slightly, Sati listened as Ororo talked, carefully memorising everything she had said, noting with particular unease the extraordinary strength of S'ym. ::

"Maybe some kinda of titan or gladiator... If he is as strong as she says he is, then we go at him as fast and smart as possible. Everything has some kind of weakness... I guess brains may be his."

:: She paused, carefully not ringing up the subject of the subesquent battle against Belasco. If his servant was going to worry the group, then the topic of the big cheese in these parts was going to worry them even more. She waited patiently to hear the opinions of the rest of the group ::

:: Tobias bathed and put on some clean, fresh clothes and met the rest of the group. When Ororo came out he listened intently to what she had said, making sure he didn't miss anything. He has a drink and listens to the others. He had nothing to say, shocking isn't it? For once he didn't know what to say, he was actually worried about what lay ahead of them. As a group they may be able to take this S'ym, but will they be able to take on Balasco aswell? Only time will tell. ::

:: Rama listens to Ororo while looking off in the distance. He had already heard of S'ym. He knew bits and pieces about him but not enough to help though maybe it would in a tight pinch. While scanning his memory for helpful clues he hit on one that everyone should have at least heard rumor of. Rama says softly ::

"The power of Magik or rather Darkchilde"

:: Rama suddenly was remembering the legend and tales of how when Magik or which ever one of her it was, defeated Belasco and S'ym. He looked to the others but he was troubled as well ::

"I wonder.... if the spells from the darkhold would work there then we or one of us could cast the power switching spell in conjunction with the wish spell. Hopefully working to allow someone to tap into the original power that defeated both creatures. I doubt it would work but I mean it could be worth a try if it comes to it. Hmm I wonder if Ororo knows if our spells would work in that realm"

:: Rama quickly sent a message into the psyche of Ororo ::

Ororo, would it be possible to use the spells of the Darkhold in Belasco's realm? Or would he have spells up negating our own spell use?

*Amy sighed as she heard Ororo speaking, telling them about the palace and Shy'm as well as the sorceror Belasco. She couldn't really tell where the Oracle was, but instead just listened to her words, taking it all in before she heard the woman leave. She looked around, trying to find the others, but only managing to find blobs. She couldn't tell who was who, or where voices were coming from, so she just leaned against the tree and waited for everyone to finish talking.*

"Shy'm may be powerful, but is he strong enough to take us all on? The guards may be easy, so we can split ourselves up, half on the guards and half on the creature. As for Belasco, Ororo said his only weakness was his blindness. Why don't we go on that. We take out the Eye and he's hopeless...we'll just need strong people fighting him off while 2 or so get the Eye."

:: As Ororo spoke of the "titan/gladiator" type character, who went by the name Shy'm, her lips curled into a frown as she leaned back against the tree beside Amaris. Maia knew there was a catch to this and she knew this relaxation wouldnt last forever... ::

"Sounds like a brain over brawn kind of thing to me."

:: She flashed a look to the rest of the group ::

"Are you guys up for this?"

*Amy was a little spooked by the loud voice of Maia near her, but she seemed to have already known someone was there. Her other senses were starting to accelerate, to make up for her partial blindness. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad after all.*

"I'm up for anything if it gets us the heck out of here. We should all eat and get some rest, ease ourselves for tomorrow if we're going."

Rama's telepathic message only meets with a blank wall...the same type that he already associated with a sorcerer who is deep in concentration and is unable to be disturbed. While he would have liked an answer from Ororo, he knew that she must be casting some very complex spells and that to push contact on her might ruin her concentration causing any number of difficulties for everyone involved. In such a case, the best they could hope for would be a quick and painless death.

Another memory was triggered within Rama, he remembered more of Darkchilde's battle against S'ym and realized that it was her Soul Sword that made the difference in the fight. S'ym possessed a high level of resistance to most magicks. If they were going to use magick against him, then they should also have a back-up plan as well.

Eventually, everyone manages to settle down to sleep. Ororo has provided hammocks for each of them and the temperature is warm. Of all the nights that they have spent roughing it on this quest, this one is by comparison, absolutely luxurious. A feeling of well being and of safety combine with their exhaustion to quickly lull them into sleep.

They awaken a little after dawn, feeling rested and refreshed. A large breakfast of breads, juices and fruits awaits on a nearby table. Rama finds that his feet are a little tender but no longer cause him any pain. Amy's vision is clearing up more. Things are a little blurry but she is able to make out objects and people's faces. Sati discovers a set of packs, similar to those that had been provided by Ikaris at the start of the quest, inside are water jugs as well as food. At the bottom of each of the packs is a single silver link, as from a chain.

Ororo's image appears before them and its obvious that this magical construct is her means of leaving a message for them as she attends to other matters.

Ororo: "Children, listen closely. You must leave as soon as possible. Follow the path that I showed you, it winds through my garden and will deposit you at the foot of Belasco's mountain. Use the tool that I provided you to help defeat your foe. Remember, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link."

The image fades from view, leaving everyone to prepare.

:: Euthalia smiles at the image as she faded. ::

"Well y'all heard the woman! We best be off gang."

:: She got up off the hammock and stretched her arms out. She then went over to where Sati had found the packs and picks one up. She took out the piece of the chain at the bottom of her pack looking at the others, having the feeling they should combine them before heading out, to help them one there. ::

*She woke up from her peaceful sleep in the hammock, rubbing her eyes as it seems she can see a little better now. She gets up and eats her breakfast, taking some time to digest and then goes to grab her pack, checking inside to make sure everything's secured before putting it on. She held the link in her hand and looked at Euth.*

"What'd you have in mind?"

:: Rama comes up blank in his messages. He then feels a memory surfacing and seeing that he was in partial error in thinking it was DC's magicks that helped turn the tide of battle, it was her soul sword. Rama goes to sleep with the others while formulating a plan in his head on what to do. After awaking and eating, Rama tries to walk again and finds his feet mearly tender. With a sigh of relief he continues eating. After the meal, he sees the packs Sati has found. While digging through his pack, he finds a silver link, he puts it in his pocket and makes sure it is secure. After the image and message of Ororo, he nods to everyone and heads off with them ::

"Hmm guys I think we need a plan of attack before we get there. I was thinking, one magick group and another physical group, or all magick and if that does not work then switch to physical. But that is just my idea"

:: Maia awoke peacefully as she let out a silent, wide yawn. She immediately tied her hair back and looks over at Euth, Amy and Rama already awake. Turning her head to Ororo, she nodded slightly before sliding off her hammock to find a platter full of fruits and breads beside her bed. At first, she thought, this was too much... Ororo had definetitly done so much for them, she's starting to really out do herself. Shrugging it off, she took a few pieces and stuffed them in a pack Sati found. After her meal, she sighed and looked over at the group, to Rama in particular ::

"That's sounds like a good plan, but I think it takes more than that. I mean, we all have to be confident. Like what Ororo said. We're as strong as our weakest link..."

:: Nodding, she rumaged through her pack, shaking her head ::

Having eaten and bathed in the pool(ooc:sorry you all stink, you haven't done any bathing since water world, lol. ;) ) They gather their belongings and head down the path the Ororo had indicated, quickly losing sight of the paviliion. The path twists and turns repeatedly for what seems like hours until finally the vegetation begins to thin out before disappearing completely.

About a mile ahead of them stands Belasco's mountain fortress. Even though they had seen the mountain at various times during their quest, it had done little to prepare them for the reality of it. The Mountain rises some five miles above the plain that they stand on. Had they either their teleporting powers or flight, getting to the top would be no problem, as it stands though, they would have to climb. After taking a short break to eat and prepare. They cross to the mountain's base and begin their trek upwards.
