I'll tell you in another lifetime when we are both
Does this happen to anyone else, since my early teens I've always had vivid dreams, and I am always partly aware in my dreams because my conscious mind knows things such as I can't be killed in my dream. To put that into context, I've had nightmares and can consciously remember being scared and then realising that I can't be killed so take action because of this - actions like getting up and walking off, fighting back etc. I can't remember all the specific details of my dreams but I can remember the thought and that action or that I took action.

When I got to my mid teens I had my first 'DREAM' (I have no other word for them). These often happen at the end of my sleep cycle and are incredibly detailed, normally set somewhere I've been recently but sometimes places I've never been at all. Most scarily, when I awake I can remember everything for a time including my emotional state in the dream. I'll forget the dream over time, it'll slip from my concious mind with the memory of my emotions during the dream leaving last.

So, deep dark secret: I write the events of the dream down and analyse the key points. There are always things in these dreams that are more poignant than others, it's those things I analyse. I'm not going to say they come true, its all down to interpretation but, for example, before my girlfriend and I knew she was pregnant I dreamt that we were having sex and a hand reached from her vagina and grabbed my penis. She took the test and it came back negative. I didn't believe the test, the dream was too strong, so I kept at her to take another test. She did a week later and it showed she was pregnant. My girlfriend had no such pregnancy dream and they say that women normally do, men don't.

Coincidence? There may be a thread on here made years ago with me talking about the exact same thing, Ddeams. That one was about a Lion behind the door and a mouse on the other side, some other things happened that I can no longer clearly remember but the analysis came back that I was in for a profound change /shock and it had to do with work. Week later I was faced with redundancy. I acted on the analysis and had already started looking for another job. Other such dreams (which are always solely about me and never about anyone else) have also happened and I've never told a soul before. I've just acted. Partly why I'm back here to be honest but now, I'm feeling a little more 'open'.

So, I'm curious about two things.

i: Is anyone else receptive to their dreams in this way.

ii: I need further guidance on how to analyse my dreams, any recommendations? I use the internet at the moment but I want to go further with this.

You may now laugh/flame.

My recent Dream 3/10/2013
I dreamt that my brother went to Uni and met my long lost daughter that I didn't know I had. This was in Liverpool, and so he invited her down to London so she could meet the family at a family meal in a restaurant. I literally had this meal the night of the dream. We couldn't tell her I was her Dad my Mum wouldn't allow it, she was too young. At the end of the meal she turned to me and said the experience was weird, so I told her that I'd tell her why when she was older.

When they - my brother and daughter - left to go Uni I fell to my knees and cried, waking to remember every vivid detail and emotion and other details like my Dad being there as well as my Mum, but not my GF and son. Weirdly my parents and I spoke to my daughter but not my brother.

I need the key points analysed.

This is interesting to me DonDaddyD :)

I'm reminded of something that S'ym said to Madelynne Pryor during the prologue to the Inferno when she had a dream that fast turned into a bizarre nightmare: "Dreams are but a facet of reality..." I totally believe that.

I have had dreams that were not just merely random, whimsical dreams were i was a merely a "spectator" in my own subconscious. I've had ASTRAL episodes & I've also demonstrated the ability to be a LUCID dreamer. The first time was aroung age 16.

Like you, I've had dreams that have warned me about things and PEOPLE(the latter being the case more often).

I've had dreams that to this DAY i still remember them b/c they were that deep, that memorable & impacting. Astral events where my physical body in the bed would react to what was happening in the dream. Again, the first experience w/ this was around age 16.

Most of the intense dreams I've had of late involve the revelation of ppl who pretend to be nice or well meaning turning out to be bad with ugly hearts & meaning to do me harm or sabotage me. I have learned to act on/pay heed to these dreams & more often than not...the truth is revealed but I have managed to maneuver myself away from them so that they can't harm, damage or set me back.

These dreams are VERY vivid & detailed & i have sometimes awakened feeling VERY angry & resentful @ the the person.

In order to better understand your dreams, start with your astrological sign. which one are you, which side of the sign are you own. I'm an air sign & on the sun side of it, b/c of this, I know that i have a very vivid mind & imagination, a need for access to information, & am more likely to have astral/premonition type of dreams. i've been very open & receptive to this since i learned about it & it has prooven to be quite accurate.

My history with dreams has been a long one. If you know my family background, everyone in my family has "gifts". My uncle is a well established Psychic Medium/Shaman who works out of Telluride, Colorado and then spends part of his time in Holland during the year to craft jewelry made with healing stones and things of that nature. My mother is a solitary practitioner of the Craft and has been for as long as I can remember. She, along with my sister are HIGHLY empathic (my sister is also a witch), my grandmother can channel and also does Automatic Writing, and so on.. Everyone in my family (well, the women and the gay men lol) has a degree of psychic ability that manifests in different ways.

And for ME? For as LONG as I can remember, I have had a very INTENSE and at times GRAPHIC dream life. I STRONGLY remember all of my dreams from when I was a very young child, at 3 years old specifically. My dreams always contained somewhat adult concepts that as a child I shouldn't have really understood. I was very enveloped in my dreams when I was little. I remember having a dream when I was little about a house. I felt like something bad had happened in this house or around the house. And I dreamed of it often when I was little. Flash forward about twelve years, and my Mom got engaged to her high school sweetheart and we moved to New York to go live with him. He lived...in THAT house. And I later found out that my Stepfather's young cousin had SHOT both of his parents in that house, and was now serving a life sentence in prison.

As I grew older, my dreams became far more graphic. Really intense and grotesque imagery, that while I was in my dream I wasn't necessarily disgusted by but when I woke up I was like "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" (like a dream I had of an old woman eating human hands, or watching this girl running from all these crazy angles and then enter this warehouse that had been covered in BONE) I felt like there had to be a reason for all of this stuff I was seeing, so I actually contacted a psychic that my grandmother is friends with (I usually never go to my own family for that kind of thing)...and Karrie (the psychic) told me that "The Other Side" speaks to me a LOT in my dreams, and that I am very connected to that world in my dreams, that often times I am getting messages about things, they are just coded in all of this symbolism, she said I wasn't a "prophetic" dreamer but urged me to keep a dream journal and go from there.

SO, my point being that I have studied a LOT about dreams and their meanings, and I just find it all very fascinating. I did this thing where I meditated every day for a year and a day (this is a witch timeline of learning something new, studying it for a year and one day).. and during THAT time? Oh man I was dreaming like crazy, experienced astral projection for the first time, experienced a few ASTRAL SHOCKS (where your body becomes conscious before you are back "in" your body - which caused my entire body to VIBRATE in a VERY weird manor. I originally was scared that I was actually having seizures in my sleep until I found in an astral projection book the very thing I was experiencing), and opened my mind to all SORTS of things.

I love dreams!
