Who would you love to see come together in the music industry for a performance?

OR which duos that have already HAPPENED do you still love?

for me, duos i'd LIKE to see:

Cher and Debbie Harry (Blondie)

Cher and Sting

Madonna and Janet ( its a shame they cant stand each other)

Madonna and Diddy

Madonna and Michael Jackson (it almost happened in 1992 but it was quashed by a jealous Janet)

Chaka Khan and Chante Moore

Celine Dion and Whitney Houston

Duos that have already happened that rocked?

Aretha Fanklin and George Michael - "I knew you were waiting"

Madonna and Britney Spears- "Me against the Music"

Madonna, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliot- 2003 MTV VMA's "Like a Virgin/Hollywood" mix

Aretha Franklin and Lauryn Hill- A rose is still a rose ( that song is simply sublime...the message, the music, the production..just FABULOUS.)

Blondie, Wu Tang Clan and Mob Deep- 1999 American Music Awards "No Exit" performance. ( Wu Tang Clan and Mob Deep BOTH remarked that they had alot of respect for Debbie Harry, and i was surprised to see that they were so into her. they said they wouldnt have performed on stage with just ANYONE...and so to see this was just an amazing display of genres coming together to make memorable music)

Brandy and Monica- much like everyone wanted to see Madonna and Janet come together in the 80's and 90's...Brandy and Monica as a duo were the stuff of fans dreams in the late 90's and it actually HAPPENED! the video of "The Boy is mine" was more fun to watch than to just listen to the song...but still, it was a surprising (if not strained) collaboration.

Madonna and Babyface- their collaboration on "Take A Bow" in 1995 gained Madonna one of her biggest hits of all time. The song was a big winner both critically and commercially and their collaboration on her ALBUM "Bedtime stories" (not to mention working with Nelly Hooper, Dallas Austin, Bjork and Herbie Hancock on the album as well) allowed her a well received cross over into the R&B genre. this was a duo that DEFINATELY rocked.

Lisa Stansfield and Barry White- in the tradition of Tina Marie (and to a less degree, Madonna) MANY people thought Lisa Stansfield was black when she first hit the radio waves with "Been around the world". But she was a white woman from England who had one hell of a voice. When she teamed up with Barry White for a live version of "Been around the world", he was the PERFECT match to her voice, filling out the song in a way that was just awesome. She always admitted to having a "musical crush" on "the maestro" and so this was a duo waiting to happen.

Throughout the world we have had the pleasure to witness some pretty classic collaborations. A few that come to mind that I enjoyed are:

Santana & Rob Thomas - I LOVED Santana's sexy guitar work here with Rob's vocals with the song "Smooth." It was a nice combination between both worlds.

Method Man & Mary J. Blige - Their collaborations were a true favorite with "Your all I need" and that other song "Love at first sight". Method's rapping and Mary's vocals mixed with a hot beat, it can't get any better than that.

Diddy, Faith Evans & 112 with a powerful combo for their farewell tribute to Notarious BIG with "I'll be missing you."

Aaliyah & Timberland with their sizzling song "We need a resolution." This song was another favorite of mine that was intoxicating with its haunting beat and Aaliyah's sultry voice.

Kayne West & Jamie Fox with "Goldigger" this song was really unique not to mention catchy.

Eminem & Elton John for "Stan". I loved this collaboration especially with all the negative publicity Eminem got for his 'homophobic songs' It was a crossover between the rap / hip - hop world meets pop. Something we have seen before but these two diverse individuals really shocked audiences.

Beyonce & Shakira with their tantilizing song "Beautiful liar." The song is hot as is the video! Latin meets hip / hop / pop. Nice combo here!

Shakira & Wyclef Jean with "Hips don't lie." Great beat and vocals from both.

Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey - "When you believe." Put these two diva's together and there's bound to be a hit!

Michael Jackson & Janet Jackson - "Scream." This was awesome as was the video! It was raw, powerful, and provacative.

Kayne West & Fall out boy - "This ain't a scene, its an arms race." I LOVED this! Enough said lol.

As far as who I'd love to see I'd go with you, Farrah.

Janet Jackson & Madonna is number one for me. Or even Madonna and Cher would be cool.

If Aaliyah was still alive I'd like to see her with Tamia or Deborah Cox.

Justin Timberland and Kanye West or Diddy would be pretty cool.

if Vh1 ever did another "Divas Live" this is the line up i'd love to see:

Madonna
Janet
Whitney
Mariah
Celine
Cher

I know its likely NEVER to given the way madonna/mariah/janet/whitney all feel about each other....Celine and Cher have shared the stage on Divas together though.

Madonna is in the studio NOW working with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake is supposed to be featured on her upcoming album. she's going back to a more R&B /Dance style sound similar to what was seen on "Bedtime Stories" and "Erotica" so THAT should be one hell of a "duo" to watch out for in the next year.

I'd definately like to see a Nickleback/Phil Collins collaberation or perhaps Eddie Money/DJ Tiesto.

My favorite collaborations:

Whitney Houston and Wyclef Jean -- "My Love Is Your Love"

Michael McDonald and Patti LaBelle -- "On My Own"

Parings I would like to see...

Brian McKnight and Beyonce

Jay-Z, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, Naz, and Royce Da 5'9"

Take Six and Boyz II Men

The Fugees re-unite!!!
