everything i've read up to this point suggests that in regards to this unwarranted scrutiny, with the exception of a first lady who who got busted for bigamy & a president who tried to pay off a mistress whom he fathered several illegitamate children with,- no president in this country has ever had to show their birth certificate. mind you, some of these so called "birthers" are the same people who wanted to alter the citizenship requirements just a few years ago when they wanted arnold schwarzeneger to run for president but suddenly its a problem bcause obama won? gimme a break. i get so annoyed with how people try to be covert with shit. call this what it is.
to your second point, these days thats exactly how people get fame. its interesting you mention that because im scream 4- the character jill mentions the fact these days "its all about the fame" and to achieve it...a person has to be willing to do/have the most outrageous/bad/crazy shit happen.
i also read an article just last week speaking about the "current" up and coming generation, the millenials, and how they are truly preoccupied with fame...not from talent or accomplishing something. no they think that fame via youtube, bad behavior caught on tape etc is the way to go. this isnt speculation either this was an article from a psych e-mag.
that being said...im still stuck on trump. i want somebody to tell me how it is that he was single handedly able to revive this bullshit ass "birther" thing to the point that the president finally ended up releasing the long form of his birth certificate. where are trumps credentials ? did he go to/graduate college? did he VOTE? (well we know the answer to that now)
he needs to sit down. this is just bullshit.
