Do Comics Rot the Minds of Children

Might just be my nerdy self calling BS on this but would kids reading comics really be that bad? Alan Moore once said that he learned more from Superman then his teachers, Niel Gaimen has both been refereed to as modern day classic literature when he puts pen to paper. Do you think its a bit much or is it not enough?

And why is the little black girl reading previews her family couldn't afford an actual book??

They have to lay off teachers because they hired more than they could afford to pay...but I digress.

Reading comics is not a bad thing, as long as kids read books too. It's all about being well-rounded.

its just annoying when reading a comic is seen as the coming of the end times. I'm not saying children shouldn't read books too but damn be happy they enjoy words on paper!
