well golly... most of those i never knew were even with us. :p BUT.. what about Chaos? did she fully step out again? i know she resigned from the Dark Apothecary, but i'd thought she would return again. lol... but then again... i'm not exactly in the loop on everything. I am back though! Hooray. :D Done with those dreadful finals. :D
 
Chaos was taking a leave of absence or that was my impression due to r/l issues. I have seen her around on a couple of occasions but I dont think she has been posting.

Go ahead and delete Shadow Dancer, that was the character I created just in case I needed more participation in Eye. I thought I had told Kris to go ahead and cancel it but had evidently forgot. Sorry about that.

Chaos is no longer welcomed to this rpg due to mitigating circumstances.

as for the rest of them....if they were taking leave of absence..they shouldve PMed someone. its been MONTHS since ive heard a word from them.

with that said....it looks to me like the GoL leaders have compiled their list as well. so i will now send them both to Tru Davies.
 
Any word on whether us lowly non-mod staff members will be given the ability to grant / deduct Gil?
 
Yes I have a question about that, how do I deduct from people and can I ? I know I can grant but I don't think or know how to deduct it : scratch
 
you're hardly "lowly" Sati:) and I have spoken to Tru Davies about it. she is definately going to work it out so that all those that i want/need to have the ability to grant/deduct gil will have it.

shes got to go into her templates and such to rework stuff so give her some time.

Riana, all you do is simply put a minus sign in front of the numeric amount you wish to take away. so if you wanted to take away 500 gil you put "-500" (without the quotation marks) and hit enter..it will then deduct the gil.

what about giving us all the ability to edit other peoples posts? cause lex wanted me to update TDA stock thread and I can't. So do you think thats possible?
 
i think in order to be able to do that...you have to be named as a mod over the forum that the post is in. there isnt anything that can be done about that.......except youll have to contact myself, ikaris (who are board super mods) or someone who is named as a mod over that particular forum.

also i think we need to bring up the issue of copying again, i mean i know there were people before me for example that wore red so i do not refer to them, but i have seen a lot more people using it and then i made it more unique by using blood-red, rose-red, and crimson. Now the first two I havnt seen but I have been seeing a few use crimson and its a little annoying IMO and I do not want to choose another red again so maybe in the next meeting we can put an alert not really a big topic to discuss unless this has happened to any of ya'll reciently but just like a heads up :shrug: just my opinion ;)
 
People always copy the higher levels, the people they look upto, but I think it's a thing worth mentioning now and then..
 
I would see how it would be important if it were a way someone uses their power or a direct object or something like that, but a COLOR? Come on Trent...

You have a suit that is like Rogue Dazzler Storm and Jubilee... should we reprimand you since you are only copying your character.. in fact Kurama Sutro is from anime so on that account your character so should we ban you? I find nothing wrong with the color thing lol.. there are only so many shades of colors lol ;)
 
lol no but nvm sorry i even brought it up to someone as simple as you Brandon you just dont get it :: rolls eyes :: its just i finally had something original and bam not anymore, so whatever lets drop it but thnx reenie for thinking its worth mentioning

lets not get too harsh here. he has a point..in that as SOON as a character becomes associated with a certain style or look..then suddenly several new comers appear that will copy that style.


i mean...how many people suddenly have "violet eyes" and DC has had icy violet eyes long before it became a "trend". it annoys me to no end......but i cant really order someone to change their eye color because that WOULD be micromanaging. ...but that doesnt mean i have to like it....and neither should Trent in his case.

as for his suit......he bought that from Illustra...and i designed it. i referenced those specific characters because he ASKED for influences by each of them for the suit. ......i mean if we were going to get REALLY particular about it....then i couldnt use the image that i use for DC even though my history is NOTHING like Marvel's DC....and several of YOUR gypsy powers would be under scrutiny as they were taken directly from the gypsies of charmed.


its about feeling like a trademark you have worked hard to have associated to your character suddenly becoming a trend...and being dilluted in its uniqueness.


on the OTHER hand, trent;...i can hardly justify speaking to members about the colour schemes of their entrance/exits. now if they were overtly mimicing the your METHOD of entrance and exit....YOU could PM them and nicely ask them to readjust their methods.....we had that happen in the original ADA.
 
Well.. all I am going to say was that we can't tell people what colors they can and cannot use, ya know? Crimson and different shades of red are considered evil colors, and I just think it's a lot to pin point the color..

I understand trademarks, I have a few myself and where as even if somebody took after them and didn't directly copy them, I would be flattered that they look up to me enough..

I would understand say if someone was appearing in rose petals and such because that IS your character... but the question was when do we draw the line between the two?
 
right i understand its just i dunno, i know no one can claim a color it just got under my skin as my roses usually follow with crimson lights lol, but like i guess the line would be blatently copying and not little things, im glad i brought this up as it spread my knowledge on the subject
 
i think its obvious.

some people will unintentionally mimic aspects of someone else's appearence or methods....but you can tell who is merely being natural about it and who is balatantly copying.

there is no way i can reprimand someone for the choice of color they use in their outfits, or entrance/exits etc..UNLESS it becomes excessive.......but that can apply to anything because some people do become TOO Detailed with their style descriptions....and THAT to me is an attempt to copy of of "DC's detail oriented attitude"


i think most of the higher ups know how far is too far....and do a pretty good job of setting an example..and if other memebrs borrow a leaf from us.....i suppose it can be considered flattering...but if we start seeing clones ..THEN it becomes rather irritating. but again...its something to be handled through PMs and NOT in a diva like manner.
