Larry King (imo) is SLIPPING. Why is he GLORYFYING a BATTERER by giving him air time and interviewing him? We KNOW what he did and that he's getting off LIGHT for it (as most celebrities do). Chris Brown is an abuser.

His half assed apology a few months ago on TV was probably the most pathetic, transparent thing since John Mccain telling black people in Atlanta Georgia he "was sensitive to African American issues' [ and yet he was one of the main congressman front and center who repeatedly voted AGAINST making Martin Luther King's birthday a national holiday, but i digress] He's only SORRY that he got caught and his career has taken a DIVE behind this.

After seeing clips of it on Larry King and CNN's pages on facebook, I REFUSED to watch the full on interview (which aired tonight) because I dont condon men who batter women. To me its not a "MISTAKE" to be forgiven. He now says he "doesnt remember" doing it. He doesnt REMEMBER brutalizing , choking, biting and beating Rhianna and telling her he was going to KILL her.

Is there anybody here who HAS seen the full interview? What are your thoughts on it or this issue in general? I think Larry King has been making some really BAD choices with his show as of late.

I haven't watched the full interview either but I mean if you are going to COMMIT an act like that in the first place at least FULLY ADMIT to it. We know what happened, we've seen the pictures, we read the police reports.. How DARE he not fully acknowledge what he has DONE?! It drives me crazy.

Sorry Chris Brown but you will NOT be getting my SYMPATHY!

and for him to sit there and blame everyone from bloggers to "a generation of angry youth" is just pathetic. he couldnt even TALK to Larry King. from the clips i saw he just mumbled. I refused to watch the interview the night it broadcast because I feel like Larry made a BIG mistake by giving airtime to this abusive bastard. BUT I've read reaction blogs and seen more clips and two things become apparent to me.

His MOTHER is partially responsible in that she set a BAD example for her son by allowing herself to be victimized by an abusive man and STAY in that relationship. REALLY (and im not just "SAYING" this)...it would take ONE time for a man to hit me, especially in front of my child. If i couldnt KILL him, i would damn sure make sure I got away from him. the relationship would be OVER> I dont care what , why or whatever else...its DONE.

The other thing is that despite his success and all that...he's not a man, he's a BOY. He acts and talks like a boy rather than a young man and its pathetic to see.

I hope that people who DID watch this realize that they need to really set better examples for their children, young girls need to learn that its NEVER "too soon" that you might become victimized by an abuser. and of course, this kind of behavior is CRIMINAL!
