Challenges and Betrayal

The thunderous bang of the chamber room doors opening caused Zeus to look away from Athena. Instantly narrowing his eyes at the sight of Persephone, the woman had a lot of nerve announcing herself as if she hadn't just killed his brother.

"You HARPY!"

Zeus' voice bellowed loudly. Gripping his hands into fists, Athena addressed Hecate, instructing her to step aside. At this point, he wasn't worried for Hecate's well being. She was just as much of a pain in the ass as Persephone, and if she die in this battle, then so be it.

Growing tired of Athena's pleas to Hecate, Zeus was ready to fillet Persephone whether Hecate was ready to step aside or not.

"Enough, Athena! Hecate knew very well the bridges she would be burning if she continued assoicating herself with that viper!"

The ground began to rumble as Zeus' voice echoed loudly throughout the vast chamber room. Gesturing forward, while clenching his teeth together tightly, a massive lightning bolt went hurling from the palm of his hand, hitting Persephone square in the chest. The shockwave of the impact was strong enough to send Hecate and Nicolas soaring off her feet and a few feet away. Zeus was done playing games.

[ Hecate's eyes meet with Athena's. She appreciated Athena's attempts to consider her but Hecate couldnt...WOULDNT abandon Persephone. Not only out of principal, but for PERSONAL reasons. despite the rift that Persephone could have caused between them..both women still cared about each other and Hecate would much rather defend someone who truly considered her a friend rather than just a magickal wild card to get them out of trouble like the Olympians often did.]

[ Hecate wouldnt move. and soon Zeus was bellowing in typical fashion. the Six arrived via stepping disc and Rampage stepped beside them. Hecate couldnt help but smile a bit as the young man challenged him. her face now darkened and enshrouded in shadow, she smirked as Zeus insulted her.]

old man....

[ she said in a cold, deep tone.]

the day i EVER bow before you is the day i lose my grip on life. you were not strong enough to deal with your father and you will NOT be strong enough to defeat ME. Have a taste of your OWN abuse, you old FOOL!

[ Hecate speaks with contempt as she gestures ala' Prue Halliwell toward Persephone's direction. a rushing , chiming sound is heard as SHE TK's the lightning bolt BACK at Zeus.]

Don't be in such a rush. Let your annoying wife come forward and speak her peace...after all, She's been ACHING for this moment for some time now.

[ Zeus might have forgotten about Hecate's precognition...and he wasnt present for Alison's warning to Athena...but the moment of final betrayal was now at hand.]

:: Hecate's words fell on deaf ears. Althought she was right...Persephone wasn't acting in her best interested. She was acting down right kamikaze. Regardless, Persephone stood, silent with eyes narrowed as Athena addressed her. A small laugh could be heard coming from the goddess after hearing the insults coming from Athena's mouth. ::

"Pot and kettle, Athena. Pot and kettle."

:: But as Athena continued to address Hecate, asking her to step aside, the six arrived. Damn...they got out of that trap quickly. Quicker than Persephone had anticipated. Rolling her eyes hearing Nicolas, his loyalty toward her was becoming sickening already. The more she pushed this group away, the more they wanted to aid her. The meaner she was toward them, the more they continued to try and be loyal to her. Maybe she was coming about this the wrong way.... ::

:: Persephone's train of thought was cut short by Zeus' yelling. The room began to shake, indicating something big was about to happen. With his hand extended out, a fierce lightning bolt came hurling at Persephone. Hecate easily diverted the attack, sending it back at Zeus. Without so much as a flinch, Persephone kept her stance solid as she looked upon both Zeus and Athena. ::

"You might want to keep him on a short leash, Athena. He's becoming rather trigger happy."

<< Spellbinder arrived, holding her soul sword in her armoured covered hand. the armoured gauntlet which now manifested over her right hand, arm and shoulder grafted in perfectly with her "inferno" costume and the din of the flames from the sword provided a constant noise effect even as Athena, Zeus, Hecate, Persephone and now Nicolas exchanged words. Morgan didnt speak yet but her contempt for ZEUS could be seen in her icy violet eyes. She was no longer a "servant girl" now. she was a demon sorceress with PLENTY of power to back up her bitchy posture.>>

<< Zeus attempted to bully and hurt Persephone with no care of Hecate's well being but Hecate , in true form, EASILY sent his display BACK at him and defied him yet again. She was GLAD to see that Hecate would not give in to him or anyone else on this mountain fortress.>>

<< Morgan's mind churned with a mixture of excitment and dismay. what they were doing now, could change the course of EVERYTHING in their own time in ways that none of them save Alison might be able to fathom right now. Would they have anything WORTH going back to? if they survived, how would they deal with Persephone? she rebuffed them at every turn and for NO good reason. She didnt even KNOW how they had pleaded on her behalf to Athena...would she have even CARED?>>

<< so many things to wonder about but all at the wrong time of course. Spellbinder remained poised for battle as she picked a place to stand in that gave her plenty of open aim at Zeus. She really DIDNT want to fight Athena. Despite what had taken place, Athena remained one of Morgan's favorite goddesses to study and even though the woman was cruel and unforgiving, Morgan couldnt help but ADMIRE the coldness and the heartlessness about her. They were qualities that she aspired to HERSELF though probably not for the same reasons as Athena.>>

<< the idea of castrating Zeus with the Soul Sword appealed to the sorceress, not to mention cutting out Hera's tongue, whom apparently was set to appear according to Hecate's short range precognitive vision. But more importantly, as Nicolas said...whatever Persephone was/is, whatever her problems ...they were THE SIX'S to deal with, NOT the Olympians and it was team for the team to stand together. this was NOT their final battle but if they were to SURVIVE to reach that battle...they would have to stand together HERE like never before.>>

<< in an icy voice>>:

seems to me like Zeus wouldnt be much without Athena, Hecate or any OTHER WOMAN on Olympus. in MY timeline, your name only remains relevant in the minds of dusty, old , decrepit college professors and sci-fi geeks who still watch "clash of the titans" like it was just released. Athena, Hecate, Artemis...ALL of the women of Olympus enjoy more popularity and relevance then you EVER could.

Olympus

:: Guardian had teleported with the team of course, but decided to take a stealtheir approach. cloaking herself with her magicks, she was now hidden from view and crouched above on top of a pillar. she weaved her hands silently in a pattern as she began to warp and slow down the temporal field around Zeus. the next time he struck out at anyone...his moves would be painfully slow, his reaction time would be slow as well leaving him woefully vulnerable to retaliation.::

:: Athena however was a different matter. She would be able to adapt to almost ANYTHING that anyone there could throw at her. she was the goddess of WAR after all and unlike Zeus, she had displayed only a precious few of her own individual powers.::

:: Alison hoped that the others would be ready for battle...especially Haleigh, who until just recently had been the most unreliable person present due to her emotional outbursts. Delilah's powers, since they activated at the "speed of light", would give her a tremendous advantage as well. These Olympians (save Athena) would not expect beings who looked to be only "mere mortals" to have such power and skill to fight against them.::

Olympus!!

Nicolas was impressed at the speed of Zeus' attack, and even more impressed at how easily it was repelled by Hecate. She mentioned that Hera was to have her say, but he was ready for what would come, his eyes locked on the Titan before him. He reached into his mind and pulled his SEXUAL evaluation of Athena's physical beauty, and then projected it into her mind subtly. Just enough that she realized that Zeus saw her in a rather UNFATHERLY fashion. Maybe he was looking at her from behind even now. DISGUSTING.

In addition, Nicolas caused the floor beneath Athena's feet to hold her boots, doing it subtly so that her first step in battle will be a stumble, giving someone a bit of an edge on the Goddess of War.

Persephone attempted to trap them, a move that frustrated Haleigh... WHY was the woman so anti-team? It occured to Haleigh that it was perhaps because the LAST 'battle of the titans' Persephone had engaged in with her ORIGINAL team left everyone dead. Maybe she was afraid to be victim to that again. It made no difference, in a matter of minutes, they sprung free and were transported to Olympus. Nicolas stood up to Zeus AND Athena.... and Haleigh moved in to support him by relieving him of an adversary. The man had heart, but really.... challenging them BOTH was dangerously too big a task for ANY one of them. Haleigh struck up a conversation with Athena... surprisingly calm for someone in the midst of an all out war.

"Well.... we meet at last. I must say, I have always held you with high esteem... I mean, it's not HARD to see why YOU would appeal to me. It is.... such a SHAME we find ourselves on opposing sides here, Athena. Now, I KNOW that you are not as afraid of me as you SHOULD BE...." she says, as she begins handling a small object, causing it to make several clicking sounds that will undoubtedly confuse those of THIS time, who are very unfamiliar with the sounds. "But that's okay... I won't take it personally... I realize that you do not possess the CAPACITY to understand WHY you should fear me at all. Indeed.... I suppose it would be pointless to try to explain it. Perhaps we should just get started?"

She says cooly, as Bupol takes flight from Athena's shoulder, as it seems to understand that WHATEVER Haleigh is holding is NOT good. Haleigh raises her hand, and the glint of sunlight on the barrel reveals her toy to be a small handgun... it is the one she keeps on her person JUST IN CASE she is unable to manifest one, for any reason.... because Haleigh is never one to be prepared. A single resonating CRACK is heard, and the bird is hit INSTANTLY in the wing and falls, wounded and shrieking with pain. Haleigh turns her attention [and the barrel of her gun] immediately back to Athena.

"I AM Sorry..... that it has to be this way. [shrugs] You brought this on YOURSELF."

Persephone
Persephone
Great job picking up that Perse is pushing them away to avoid loosing the six like she lost her team! I think you're the only one who did lol.
Olympus

:: Athena's golden eyes narrowed with contempt at Nicolas. Bold and Brave as he was, he was a FOOL to think that he would overpower HER. Nicolas seemed to have FORGOTTEN that Circe's CHARM had already CLUED Athena in to the identities and abilities of The Six. their powers might have SEEMED "out of this world" but it was simply a matter of them being known different in this time and there were telepaths among the Amazons, so Nicolas' mind trick would not go unnoticed by a woman's who's mental discipline was beyond ANY non psi screened individual that HE had ever encountered...not to mention her INDOMITABLE WILL.::

:: as Nicolas attempted to plant the seed of Zeus' lusting after her in her mind, Athena looked at him sharply and HE would feel his own projection being REJECTED painfully.::

FOOLISH BOY!

:: her voice echoed forcefully.::

I am well aware of ALL your abilities and how you may well use them.

:: Athena's thoughts became like QUICKSILVER, impossible for Nicolas to read or manipulate definitively. Nicolas found himself on the receiving end of ANOTHER force blast, like the one at the Parthenon, only THIS time, she didnt hold back as she released even MORE deadly force.::

WAR and STRATEGY are MY platforms, HATCHLINGS. I have the power to take you at any and ALL your measures.

:: she was interrupted as Haleigh addressed her. THIS one was the most peculiar of the group. appearing to be merely human and possesed of a hybrid physical nature that wasnt even manifested by the DEMONS that Athena or her Amazons had faught. Haleigh was the most "out of this world" of the group, but her manifestation of WEAPONRY would be something that wasnt as great of an advantage as she THOUGHT.::

:: Athena watched as Haleigh addressed her with a cool familiarity. The young woman's arrogance and moxy suggested that she was more ethan a little "mad" in the mind.::

I have NOTHING to fear from you child. Your existence is finite...a flame that can be ALL TOO EASILY EXTINGUISHED in any NUMBER of ways. Your disjointed aura clearly indicates that you've experienced this BEFORE. [ being murdered during the Inferno]. Though you may have the benefit of escaping death's embrace once before...do not be so hasty to count this day as yours.

:: Athena looked almost bemused as Haleigh brandished a fire arm. Bupol flew from his mistress' shoulder. Athena looks up at her owl, not sure why it suddenly seemed so skittish and then, to her shock...Haleigh fires upon her beloved pet and it falls to the ground, crying with pain...twitching as it is wounded.::

BUPOL!

:: Athena cried out. stumbling as Nicolas' attempt to hold her boots to the floor finally prooved to be a small problem. but now....this was too much. they had harmed her beloved Bupol. WHATEVER was to come next, it would not stop her from hurting them BACK.::

:: As Athena stumbled forward, she extended her hand....the gun in Haleigh's hand MELTED into WHITE HOT SLAG and would most surely destroy any flesh that it came into contact with. the boiling liquid then glowed before changing into a swarm of killer bees that attacked Haleigh's eyes and mouth.::

SUFFER, barbarian, as you have inflicted needless pain upon my beloved bupol!

:: Athena was now standing tall once more, and with the sound of a mighty gong, her trademark helmet along with a sword and shield composed of golden energy. the weapons were unbreakable by any means and would shift to suit her needs. BEYOND Haleiegh's control, these were anointed weapons, gifted with the power of the goddess of war as well as blessed by Demeter.::

I will see your blood flow through these halls, as your shade joins Hades' in the underworld.

:: Haleigh might have thought she was prepared to battle Athena, but she couldnt have been more wrong.::

:: Glancing to her right as Haleigh took a step forward to address Athena, Persephone shifted her attention from one woman to the next. With her arms folded and her body weight resting on one leg, Persephone hardly looked like she was about to battle her life at any given moment. ::

:: Immediately the clicking grabbed the goddess attention. With a smirk slowly forming on her lips, she looked to Athena just as Bupol flew from her shoulder. Seconds later, a loud crack was heard and Bupol fell to the ground screaming in pain. Persephone began to crack up laughing. That bird was the one creature on this earth she would actually love to see suffer. ::

"That was brilliant, Haleigh. Funniest thing i've seen in a long time."

:: Still chuckling a bit, Athena became agitated and released an attack against Haleigh, the metal of her gun melting on her skin. Shooting a deadly glare at Athena, Persephone unfolded her arms and clenched her fists. She could feel Hecate's hand on her forearm, keeping her from attacking. There was a sequence of events that needed to be followed, and that was the only reason Persephone hesitated to attack. ::

There was a glint in the darkness as the light reflected off Hera's golden eyes. She stepped from the shadows, her face not masking her rage. Her voice boomed and reverberated through the hall - the voice that had caused humans to flee in terror - as she focused her anger on Persephone.

"If it isn't the woman who put the "whore" in horrible. You mock Athena even now, with what you've done."

She moved forward towards them.

"You have insulted us all with your latest act of treachery. You betray us, the gods of Olympus, who so mercifully allowed you to live when you killed Demeter, one of our own. And now you've taken Hades from us..."

Her gaze flicked briefly to Hecate.

"...and from one who you called your friend. Who even now stands by your side. You bring outsiders to our most sacred of places. Your insolence knows no bounds."

She looked at Nicolas.

"And you, you defend her at all costs. You would have made her a good husband...but standing with her is a grievous mistake now, you will find."

She directed her words now at the rest of the gods.

"Hecate takes sides with the traitor, so she is no better. The crime is now hers as well."

She turned and took her place next to Zeus, turning back to face Hecate and the Six. Her voice was cold, yet filled with the smug satisfaction that those she despised were about to be eliminated. She had won once again.

"Kill them. Kill them all."

Olympus!!

Nicolas was surprised but not totally shocked at Athena's defense of his mental attack. Her rebuff was painful indeed, but too many run-ins with Malice had hardened him to the strain. As she chided him, and attempted to mask her higher thoughts, she threw a wave of force at him. AGAIN. Like he didn't see THAT one coming. He erected a stone barrier that easily protected him as he saw her take her attention to Haleigh. BIG mistake.

The melted weapon that was threatening to burn Haleigh disappeared, reappearing on TOP of Bupol. His screams were pitiful as the slag burned away feathers and tissue.

As the beast screamed its agony, Hera entered the room, berating all who would stand with Persephone and painting them as the moral high ground. Nicolas was filled with contempt at her attitude and he decided as she passed her own sentence that he would not wait any longer to strike the first blow.

Rampage ran forward towards Athena to strike a mighty blow. As he threw the punch he teleported, punching Zeus instead in the face with a shot that would rival anything the Six had seen, a shot whose reverberations shattered anything glass in the surrounding area and cracked the marble floor beneath the pair. The force from the impact itself would be sufficient to separate the royal pair of Zeus and Hera from one another.

[ Guardian and Spellbinder SHATTERED Persephone's vortex and teleported them back to Mount Olympus. Even after all these years MorningStar could still be surprised by their sheer power.

Upon their arrival Rampage - impetuous and proud to a fault - called out the gods...

MorningStar meanwhile surveyed the scene. Alison was still hidden, but the others stood with her, some of the assembled gods faced them, and Persphone and Hecate stood on their side if a bit away.

Delilah looked at Hecate suspiciously, still scornful of her leaving them there and doing what she saw as amounted to giving Persephone a death sentence - sending her to face her fate alone. Despite Morgan and Alison's connection to her, Delilah did not trust Hecate. Not one bit. But Persephone was one of them whether she chose to ackowledge that or not, and so they had to be allies in this. For now.

Delilah had to admit to herself that were she in the gods' position, she would be calling for Persephone's head as well. She had killed not one, but two, of their number. If they had done that to HER team, nothing on this earth would have been able to stop her from slaying them all. But she would not sacrifice Persephone, even for this.

She moved forward as Nicolas had done, standing with he, Persephone and Hecate. ]

"Persephone is one of us - you will not claim her this day, not while there is breath left in my body."

Hera's sharp eyes - honed through hundreds of years of spying on Zeus' many conquests - saw Nicolas' blow coming a split second before it made impact. She was not worried though - Zeus was a god, and it would take more than mere human child to harm him.

As the shockwaves came, she gracefully turned herself into an eagle, leaving her balance intact. In nearly one movement, she returned to human form and lightly set herself down on stable ground.

"Foolish boy..."

Haleigh smirked as Athena mentioned Haleigh previous demise. She had quick enough reflexes to drop the gun as it heated and Nicolas removed it anyways. Haleigh seemed bored with Athena's posturing. Her eyes glinted with devil-may-care defiance.

"True, true... I have been killed before.... and yet.... here I am. It would seem not even DEATH wants anything to do with ME."

She mirthed, as the slag proceeded to turn to kiler bees, relieving the shreiking animal and turning its vegeance on Haleigh. Haleigh held up her hand in a 'stop' gesture.

"TRY not to be so bitter, Athena... I merely convey the HARD truth. YOU are the PAST of warfare....." The bees were instantly coated with steel, and stopped in midair just as they were reaching her. Whatever insecurities her teammates had seen in her before were clearly hidden deeply away, in fact, it seemed almost as if when it counted most, Haleigh turned on DEMAND into exactly what she needed to be. "And I. AM. The FUTURE."

She flicked her hand, as if dismissing a servant. The metallic bees exploded forth, as if expelled from the barrel of a shotgun. she may not have the weapon, but she had the power to recreate the effect. The projectiles would hit Athena with more speed than ANYTHING she'd seen in this time, where the fastest weapon in flight MIGHT be an arrow from a crossbow. Athena drew her weapon of choice, yet Haleigh seemed LESS than concerned. Rampage flew forth, and Haleigh nodded towards him, as if to WARN her to look out. As Athena dealt with THAT attack, Haleigh moved with MACHINE speed around and behind Athena. The woman had a SWORD.... but that could be difficult to manuever in very CLOSE combat, and Haleigh used this to her advantage, as she grabbed Athena from behind in a 'sleeper' hold, with an arm around Athena's neck. This was merely to hold the goddess in PLACE as she plunged a newly created blacksmith's knife up to the HILT in Athena's left buttock.

"I HOPE you don't plan on sitting DOWN anytime soon."

Hardly a DEADLY wound, but therein was the worst of it... it was deep and EXTREMELY painful in a muscle used more often than one thought.... And Haleigh's warped sense of humor began to show.

Haleigh quickly backtracked to avoid immediately retaliation, keeping a ready stance.

"Oh, TRUST me, Goddess of War.... you do not want MY blood flowing ANYWHERE in the precious world of yours."

Olympus- dawn of the red moon

[ Hecate was many things, but she wasnt depraved or cruel...which was something that Nicolas and Haleigh seemed to revel in. Bupol was an innocent, a creature that had harmed no one. if the Six were supposed to be the protectors of the innocent....they were certainly showing themselves to be no better than Zeus right about now.]

[ she glared unapprovingly at Nicolas, for Bupol had been enchanted by HER and given to Athena as a GIFT shortly after the conclusion of the battle against the titans. the owl had been a peace offering.]

savage! do you think yourselves to accomplish ANYTHING by using your force against a harmless, innocent CREATURE? one that I CREATED as a GIFT to Athena!?

[ she gestured, suspending time around Bupol as her magicks UNDID the damage to the poor bird and encased it in a cuccoon before teleporting it away. it would recover, but not for a while.]

worry not, athena. despite how your brothers and sisters may wish to treat me...I will not see Bupol harmed in this fight. he was my gift to you...and though clearly some SAVAGES in the room care not for the lives of the most innocent creatures, i will make sure that he does not suffer.

[ she spoke coldly....knowing that this last good deed would be over looked as Hera condemned Hecate to suffer the fate of the six. between the six, persephone and now the olympians, Hecate had had ENOUGH....and thunder began to rumble as she looked upon Hera...before snapping at Rampage and Haleigh, whose attacks on Athena were not going to damage her anyway for "no weapon of man" could harm the goddess of war.]

STOP IT! JUST STOP IT!!

[ Hecate screamed at Nicolas and Haleigh, a rushing chiming sound is heard as Haleigh and Nicolas are TK'ed against pillars and HELD there.]

FOOLISH, IMPERTENANT IDIOTS! You're GETTING IN THE WAY!

[ Her voice cracked with anger as she turned back to Hera.]

Do YOU really believe that my life, my lively hood is predicated upon YOUR hypocritical judgements? you whiney sow?

It was MY foresight that showed me the ADVANTAGE to AIDING you and your wretched brotheren in the battle against YOUR FATHER. Everything I have done...ive done of my own volition and UNLIKE YOU, I am NOT bound by Zeus' word. You seek to CONDEMN ME after ALL that i've done for you and these ungreatfull olympians!?

[ she seethed with indignation as she lifted her hands.]

at EVERY TURN i have been disrespected, marginalized, BETRAYED, USED and ABUSED by people who cared more about themselves.

[ casting a hurtfull and HATEFULL glare at Persephone before SLAPPING HER away from her side with MORE than a fraction of her super strength.]

even NOW these careless humans show NO regard for the work that i do as they take perverse pleasure in harming an innocent creature that i gave to Athena as a GIFT of our unspoken friendship.

[ she looked at Athena...and in the last moment...her eyes conveyed one last final "thank you" for her attempts to consdier her.]

and now....as with EVERY pendulum, the time has come for this to swing in the OTHER DIRECTION! the time has come for me to ABANDON any restraint that i once had in my dealings with you repulsive creatures..you who were not even strong enough to deal with your own father. the time has come for ME to exact my JUST REVENGE and to make sure that it is felt time and again by you and those who follow you.

[ Olympus began to tremble as the MOON began to change...]

the moon will run RED with my hatred of ALL OF YOU and before this night has passed, you will learn the FATAL ERROR of your ways!

[ turning to Hera as a chime sounded off.]

and as for YOU, Oh how i've LOATHED and DESPISED YOU.

Now I will do to you what I have yearned to do for SO LONG!

[ thunder CRASHES and lightning strikes....so blinding that it causes everything that was visible to become enshrouded in shadow and vice versa, Hecate unleashes what can only be described as the first "eldritch blast" of extreme mystical power on Olympus.....her arms forward and her hands "palms out" a LARGE halo of violet hued energy, much like what Circe manifested the moment she destroyed Barbara's estate.]

SAY HELLO TO DEMETER AND HADES!!

[ Hecate's hair FLOWS around and behind her as her eyes glow solid white.]

<<ZARK!!>>

[the blast is of the SAME magnitude that Circe had unleashed against Persephone and Minerva's estate...and this time it is ALL directed at HERA! the blast radius expands, to BLAST Athena and Zeus away as if they were nothing but the brunt os the blast slammed into HERA's body...irradiating her from within causing her to glow, sparkle and convulse before finally EXPLODING!]

[ the moon was BLOOD RED and Hecate was clearly beside herself with RAGE. She was heart broken, bitter and now she was past the point of understanding...much like Morgan the night of inferno. the sight of Hecate obliterating Hera was much like that of Morgan obliterating Haleigh...Haleigh HAD to have noticed the parallels and of course the question now was, would Hecate ATTACK The Six?]

Olympus

:: clearly Haleigh didnt realize that part of Athena's power was IMMUNITY from the weapons of man. her attempts to injure Athena's physical body with the steel impliments or dagger FAILED and she also had no way of knowing the extent of Athena's physical strength. the two women struggled as Haleigh attempted to hold Athena, this was merely Athena taking Haleigh at her measure but when Bupol was further injured by NICOLAS...Athena's golden eyes glowed as she cried out and BUSTED loose from Haleigh and kocked her down.::

FOOL! you cannot hope to prevail against ME! I am EVERYTHING that you aspire to be and WITHOUT ME, YOU would not EXIST.

:: Hera appeared and defended her husband against Rampage. despite her being annoying most times, the woman prooved that when it came to home and family, it was NOT a good idea to mess with her. Hera handled Nicolas with finesse while Athena's golden hued energy weapons sparkled with a flury of power as she took aim at Haleigh intending to purge her with the golden light of vengeance but almost as soon as Athena's rage peaked, so too did Hecate's.::

:: Bupol had been a gift from Hecate and Athena had become very attached to her feathered friend. to see it be so brutally hurt , it caused the hatred in Athena's soul to rise to new EPIC levels. she would do harm to Haleigh that was beyond ALL KNOWN philosophies and if Haleigh that she was suprerior to Athena...she would find herselef PAINFULL WRONG.::

::but before she could STRIKE OUT at Haleiegh, the woman and nicolas BOTH were hurled away, slammed and pinned against pillars. Athena could see that Hecate had reached a breaking point. ALL she had wanted was for Hecate to stand aside and let what she considered JUSTICE to be dealt...but Persephone's wretched companions interfered and things had now degenerated. Hecate was now beside herself with rage and indignation...but the horrid thing was that Athena could see it was JUSTIFIED!::

:: Hecate slapped Persephone away with force and spat a final curse to Hera as the moon changed...becoming BLOOD RED and the halls of olympus trembled with fearfull anticipation of what was to come.::

HECATE!

:: it was too late, Hecate OBLITERATED Hera and the shockwave blasted Athena HARD as it sent her flying up in the air and falling back to the ground....she was clearly hurt by the impact but Hera...HERA was DESTROYED!::

:: this was not part of Athena's plan. indeed, this was not what she had wanted at all!! Hecate was now unleashed in a way that was dangerous for both the olympians AND the six!::

Mother...

"I knew it, I fucking knew it."

[ Delilah said it under her breath, but things had certainly gone from horribly bad, to all-out-apocalyptic-crapfest awful. Hecate had used her powers not only against Nicolas and Haleigh, but Persephone as well. THEN she'd evaporated Hera, and had now apparently gone mental. As if they didn't have enough to worry about...

Nicolas and Haleigh hadn't taken the smartest course of action - egging on a goddess - but Hecate chose NOW to be pissed off at Persephone? Didn't anyone else see the big picture here? Why did everyone seem to be hell bent on making things worse?

Hecate still held Nicolas and Haleigh fast - Delilah looked at Morgan and called to her. ]

"Look at her - she's JUST like Circe. I knew we couldn't trust her. Now we're in the middle of a war we have no business fighting!"

Olympus

<< Spellbinder's icy violet eyes widened as poor bupol was seemingly killed! the poor creature.... Morgan shut her eyes and shook her head with disapproval at the fact that Haleigh and Nicolas seemed more intent on being HURTFULL against Athena than actually defending Persephone for the right reasons. They were prooving her POINT that they were all as savage and cruel as Persephone herself.>>

<< Athena busted loose from Haleigh's grip while Hera kept Nicolas at bay. it was TRUE that Zeus wouldnt be where he was without the GODDESSES on Olympus and it was most evident now.>>

<< Hecate's rage and indignation began to crest. Morgan could FEEL it in her own soul, it was almost like the riptide effect she felt from Circe but she wasnt being PULLED into it against her will, it was more like EMPATHIC impressions. She could tell what was coming. the weight of everything bearing down on her and with Hera's final condemnation of her...this was it. Hecate had been abused, used and BETRAYED by one TOO MANY. Morgan couldnt help but remember what SHE felt like during the weeks that lead up to INFERNO. she wanted to reach out to Hecate and do SOMETHING ...but she knew better than to interfere. Not out of fear of Hecate herself..but for further damaging the time stream.>>

<< Alison had predicted this moment to Athena but the specific events occurring didnt seem to feel right. there was too much violence too soon! Morgan moved over to Delilah and stood in front of her to protect her from what was coming. Delilah was already expressing her misgivings, her feelings that Hecate couldnt be trusted....>>

Delilah, you dont understand....Hecate is....she's at the point that I was the night the INFERNO began. Ororo and Alison couldnt appeal to me...it was too late and its too late NOW for us to appeal to hecate!

<< turning to Delilah.>>

Like it or not..the Olympians..INCLUDING Persephone, brought this upon THEMSELVES and Haleigh and Nicolas just didnt help....

<< Morgan shakes her head>>

was it REALLY necessary to hurt Bupol? not to mention hades, the constant judgement and abuse from hera and zeus and knowing what Circe will do.

<< the din of Hecate's blast filled the air and Morgan, who had now released her sword (and it disappeared) covered Delilah to shield her from the mystical fall out. Alison would be protected and Nicolas and Haleigh had enough durability, plus the pillar for support. Persephone was already down and would miss the brunt of the fall out, but just in case, Morgan moves her via disc to herself to keep her safe from danger.>>

<< she looked up, the red moon was in full effect.>>

this is the moment Alison warned us of. It's not that Hecate cant be trusted Delilah...it's that she's HAD ENOUGH! these things that we've seen..they already occurred....its HISTORY and we watched it unfold! you were so quick to defend persephone and now you wish to condemn Hecate, who is FAR more justified at this moment...

<< she crouches down as the WORST of the backlash from Hecate's DESTROYING Hera radiates around the hall, shaking Olympus.>>

but NONE of that matters now! all we need to do is survive long enough to get back to OUR TIME...to do what WE'RE supposed to do!

[ It was as if the world itself was falling apart around them. She was protected by Morgan, thankfully. She crouched with her friend, as she defended Hecate's actions. She spoke solemnly. ]

"I don't wish to condemn her, Morgan, but I won't allow her to destroy us all in her rage, either. So now, what do we do - leave her here like this? Is that what was meant to be? And even if that's the case, how do we return to our own time? We are well and truly fucked if we've ever been..."

Olympus

:: Guardian cursed as things spiraled out of control!::

DAMMIT!!

:: she watched with horror as Athena's owl was ravaged without any real reason by Haleigh and Nicolas, Athena was clearly about to unleash her wrath upon Haleigh while Hera handled Nicolas and kepet Zeus protected. HE hadnt fallen into her temporal trap yet. Morgan and Delilah WISELY held back...and Alison finally manifested, crouched down on top of a pillar.::

Persephone! MOVE AWAY!

:: she called out..but it was too late, Hecate struck Persephone with such force while Haleigh and Nicolas were pinned against pillars.::

no one listens....

:: Hecate's rage grew and grew as she finally unleashed her bitter hatred upon the Olympians, cursing them before murdering Hera outright and now she seemed poised to attack ANYONE at this time. Morgan shielded Delilah and moved Persephone to hers side to protec her from the fallout and Alison used her own magicks to divert the force away from Nicolas and Haleigh so they would not be crushed. Athena's physical constitution allowed her to withstand what should've been a fatal backlash.::

:: she drops down with grace, landing on her feet as she faces Nicolas and Haleigh.::

THANKS ALOT!

:: Alison spits with agitation, she gestures, doing her best to break them loose from being trapped against the pillars. Hecate wouldnt attack her...she just wanted THEM out of the way and she KNEW that the next round would be between Hecate and Zeus...and that THEIR primary goal was to protect Persephone...keep her alive as LONG as they could.::

now...RAMBO and RED SONJA if you two would REMEMBER the GOAL is not to harm helpless animals....it is to PROTECT PERSEPHONE.

:: as Hecate unleashed her fury agains the halls of Olympus, causing massive statues to be obliterated and pillars to come apart and crash down, Alison, with GREAT STRAIN, was able to BREAK Haleigh and Nicolas free.::

get over there to the others...and WAIT!

:: pushing them as she ran, they narrowly avoid a falling head...that from the statue of HERA as it crshes down on the floor where they once stood.::

:: reaching Morgan, Delilah and Persephone, Alison knelt down and tended to Persephone's face wound.::

THIS IS ALL WRONG....but there's nothing we can do now but go with it.

:: how bad this could get....Alison didnt bother to say, since it appeared that no one would listen to her anyway and they were all used to "we're all going to die" visions. they just didnt seem to realize that death could come any number of ways and just because you came back once before, didnt mean you wouldnt die AGAIN more painfully.::

Zeus will survive Hecate's assault and make another pass for Persephone. Athena will come for Haleigh...
