Bill Maher revealed an EMBARRASING thing on his show recently. 68 % of those offered the american citizenship test FAILED. 1 out of 2 couldn't identify the vice president; 3 out of four couldn't name even 2 supreme court justices OR identify the currente Chief Justice; 1 out of 2 could not identify whether or not the U.S. was involved in World War II or who it's enemies were etc. It was shamefull & the you could hear audible gasps & expressions of disbelief in the audience.

Ppl today are very uninformed & downright DUMB. I heard a girl on TV one night who when asked "Where do indians [as in native americans] come frome?" Her reply was: INDIANA! :eek:

The one question I did get wrong was due to my not reading my choice of answer closely. It was kind of a "trick question" considering the right answer was quite similar in wording except for one key point.

At least I'm not as clueless as I once thought. :p

I should've gone with my gut instinct on same of them, like Eisenhower - I was actually going to go with WWII but I went with the Civil War.
 
well im glad to see that our board members are definitely bucking the trend of "dumbed down americans!"

our non-u.s. members did a good job answering these questions as well :nod: I think they did better than some of the ppl who bill maher was slamming on his show. 63% of american citizens who took this test FAILED it! that's really sad.
