I always think of Dita von Tess when I think of the word "burlesque".

But with the movie, [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REBzuGg87mQ"]Burlesque[/ame], coming out...I'm interested in seeing it.

Early buzz seems favorable and the pictures of Cher and Christina on the red carpet for the primier a week or so ago were amazing.

Anybody else going to check this out?

I'm going to go see it with my mom on Thanksgiving. It looks really good, but everytime I see a singer headlining a movie I immediately think of Mariah Carey in Glitter and how bad that was lol. I hope it's not like that because I've been really looking forward to this since I first saw the previews.

LOL! Glitter was exceptionally bad wasnt it? I finally saw it on DVD nearly 9 years later and I think had ANOTHER person...a REAL actress been invovled, the film could have done better.

and im surprised J.Lo still even HAS a movie career (of sorts) after "Gigli"...THAT movie could be used as psychological warfare against the enemy in combat LMAO!

But where J.lo fell flat in "monster in law", Jane Fonda definately made up for it and more.

and even if Chritina sucks , you know Cher will do a good job. She's one of the few singers who CAN act even if people dont want to give her props for it she's got the chops.

Of course I'm going to see it, I'm a big Cher fan! I also like Christina Aguilera, so it'll be interesting to see her in it too. I always think of the movie "Nine," when ever I see trailers for this movie, because it looks like it has a similar movie style.

^And you're right about J.Lo, her acting was pretty bad in "Monster-In-Law."

So has anyone seen the movie yet? I saw it with my mom last weekend and I really liked it. I was very surprised by how good Christina's acting was. I was honestly thinking I was going to cringe throughout the whole movie everytime she came on screen, but she was good! And Cher was damn amazing. I absolutely LOVED her rapport with Stanly Tucci. They were amazing together.

I hope Cher decides to take on move movie roles since she's retired from music. She really won me over in this movie. :)

I will be seeing it this weekend. I've been very busy and I WANTED to go see it this past Tuesday night but that didnt happen.

Meanwhile- Sam, girl...you're about 25 years (at least) too late on realizing how AMAZING an actress Cher is. :p If you havent seen the following, i recommend: Silkwood, MASK, Moonstruck, The witches of eastwick, Unfaithful and Tea with Mousilini(sp?) all excellent films. MASK especially

Dark Lady
I love The Witches Of Eastwick!
I saw this a few weeks ago. I heard it was supposed to be bad but honestly I loved it.
Cher is amazing in ANYTHING she does. Christina is pretty good too. I enjoy Stanley Tucci in the movie. Every role he takes on comes out amazing. Kristen Bell I thought was good to, Julianne Hough as well. Overall I think everyone was great.
I was surprised to see Dianna Agron as Cam Gigandet's finace. Not expecting them to use her.

I'm watching this for the first time tonight :D I know it is supposed to be bad but I don't care will let you know what I think of it laters :D

I thought Xtina was a bit BORING honestly BUT the movie overall wasn't bad to me. Cher was great & the theme of FAMILY looking out for one another was something i appreciated in the film
