So I guess that NBC is doing a remake of the Bionic Woman that is coming in the fall to be slated for Wednesdays after Deal or No Deal and they have a preview clip up so I am going to post it for you, it DOES look pretty interesting ;)

It seemed kind of cool to me. we cannot hold on to the past forever...although the new girl didn't look so cute to me there.
 
somethings just shouldnt be remade.

Poseidon Adventure and Bewitched (their recent ill fated remakes) are prime examples of that.

who are people going to associate with "Bionic Woman"? Lindsay Wagner.
 
There are actually a LOT of people out there who will not even remember the old show unprompted, and others who will remember it as the spin-off from the $6 Million dollar man that they hated.

It is hard for you and me to see anyone other than Linsay Wagner, but I wonder ow many others feel the same...
 
Yeah, I can't remember enough about the original Bionic Woman to be appalled or offended by this. I've all but surrendered to the tidal wave of Hollywood remakes.

The preview on the NBC site looks pretty darn fun to me though. It seems to have a lot more in common with Terminator, Battlestar than 70s Bionic Woman, in terms of the feel.
 
lol I read about this while at work on AOL and I thought of Farrah. I haven't seen the previews as of yet, I only read the article. I'll have to check the previews to form an inkling of the new show. I was really surprised that they would sort of remake a show yet disappointed for the creators for not having the creativity for creating something new.
 
early user reactions to the previews of this show are already citing bad casting for the part of Jaime Summers.

it's being called a "bad reimaging of a classic hit show". THIS is the problem with remakes people...they RARELY work.
 
This show sucks

the new Bionic Woman SUCKS AT BIONIC SPEED! this girl needs to sit her ass down. Lindsay Wagner will ALWAYS be the ONLY "Jamie Sommers"
 
i heard both good and bad reviews from friends about this show but I'm a little worried about getting invested in it (haven't seen it yet) cause i think good or bad its going to get canceled soon.
 
I actually DON'T watch shows in their first season, and that's a primary reason. I'd hate to get into a show only to have it cancelled or not renewed. I wait until the second season is already over usually.... the show is comfortably established and by then I have plenty of episodes to catch up on and usually by then I started watching because I heard from quite a few people that it's good.... so I know it'll be decent without wasting an hour to find out that it's not. It works out well...
 
well of course that had something to do with it from the start. You see how afraid the studios are to recast WONDER WOMAN...because everyone knows that LYNDA CARTER is the one TRUE "WW"...the same thing applies for Lindsay Wagner/Bionic Woman. i bet you they wont do this shit for the Six Million Dollar Man :rolleyes: and of course Lee Majors will forever be seen as the one true "Steve Austin".

this girl who is playing the Bionic Woman is BORING to watch.
 
the only reason i watch new shows is become my focus is terrible i need background noise to do some things. I usually just flip on the TV and thats how i discover new shows that are on.
 
I liked it. I don't even see it as a remake, I am watching it as a complete show, a new take on a previous explored premise...

Ditto on that! Seriously though, no one could ever replace Lindsay Wagner, that's obvious!

But, I like the show in general. It sort of reminds me of another show I adored called La Femme Nikita minus the implants and all.

I got my Mom into watching this show and she was a die hard fan of the original show.

Granted, everyone has their favorites and what they dislike. I'm rather enjoying the show (which is probably grounds for cancellation) when that happens lol. Anytime I like a show they cancel it!
I'm looking forward to see how the show develops.
