<< A sunny morning in L.A., on the trendy block of Melrose Avenue, and inside of the private residence of Melrose Place, Sharon Kelly takes a bright morning swim in the large pool of the courtyard. Her large, silver gryfalcons enjoy the morning air, and soar high above.>>

<< it has been 3weeks since Alison and Karen returned to Minerva's Mansion in Greece, so that Alison may resume her duties as the Keeper of Time & Secrets with Mike joining them to spend time with Karen and take Alison's troops (formerlly Barbara Minerva's soldiers and guards) through necessary exericses and drills, sharing with them his own experiences with battles involving witches, demons and the like to better prepare them.>>

<< Morgan and Blaze have left as well for a sabbatical on Aerie. Morgan has not given a time when she will return but has asked that if they need her, they contact her immediately. >>

<< The Six are now without any magickal resources BUT they've been here, or close it to before. The team roster now checks in with: Black Widow, MorningStar, Silver Swan, Rampage, and recently returned Persephone & Prophet.>>

<< they have moved forward slowly from their last caper, a harrowing nightmare involving a centuries old demon with a blood grudge against Hecate and all her descendants down to Karen and Morgan. This last caper was a DEEPLY emotional one that tore through most of the Six and former occupants of Melrose Place, the Zaccharas but they managed to come together and survive.>>

<< NOW, as time passes, the current roster of the Six have managed to put some distance between themselves and that personal nightmare they all experienced. Nicolas has slowly found solid ground with the team again and both Ava and Cameron have begun to make adjustments. For Cameron especially, this isnt easy. His sister is absent and they are no longer in New York anymore...couple that with the hard reality of seeing Haleigh with ZACH again...and things are a little more complicated once you look more deeply.>>

<< Indeed, Zach's presence isnt just a stumbling point for Cameron. There's also Sharon but in HER case, the mutate could really care less. It's HALEIGH who was not able to fully understand the facts surrounding Zach's past with Sharon. Another issue that remains largely unsolved.>>

<< Still, in the last near month, the team has been able to live rather peacefully, further settling in, with Delilah entrusted to be Morgan's interim Land Lady over MP and Black Widow and Silver Swan co leading the current roster.>>

Melrose Place - courtyard

[ after an early morning exercise flight for herself and her birds, through the water of the pool, the well toned, feminine form of Sharon does move, swiming with gracefull, yet strong form, the woman does laps back and forth through the large pool in the center of the courtyard, wearing a slinky silver bikini.]

[ Whitney Houston's "I look to you" plays over the concealed sound system of the courtyard and in the air high above, her silver gryfalcons fly about.]

[ the mutate has definately come to enjoy a life as super powered woman and has come much closer to finding the balance between her former life and current one, realizing she has no reason to be conflicted. MUCH of that progress is owed to her time on Themyscria, the mystical island of the Amazons. Through their ways and technology, they gave Sharon much of her life back as well as tought her better than any normal earth bound human could in the ways of female warrors and fighting. even the ability to mentally control her adamantium armour so that it no longer covers her entire body in just one form so she can now show as much or as little skin as she wants! in moments like this, swimming in the pool, that particular discipline is very handy.]

[ still, for all the good that she feels...her perfect hearing allows her to pick up the sounds and voices of Haleigh and ZACH.]

he must be...STAYING...for a while.

[ she thinks as her silver eyes linger for a moment on apartment 5. still, whatever problems that will come from THAT will be due to HALEIGH'S insecurity. Sharon never saw Zach as anything more than a pleasurable DISTRACTION...a BOY TOY. and now that she could snap him in half with little effort, she's not really worried about him ;) ]

[ Ava is back and so is Cameron. One she tolerates, the other one she hadnt dealt much with BEFORE her death.]

Melrose Place - #8

:: Cameron moved slowly from the downward dog pose and into the scorpion pose, exhaling deeply as he dropped his forearms to the ground and slowly lifted the rest of his body in the air, maintaining perfect posture as his feet were now dangling over his head. He was sweating intensly as beads dripped from his rippled chest and found themselves on the yoga mat below him, but Cameron stayed silent and still. He closed his eyes and focused his breathing. Exhaling slowly in and out to a rhythm in his head. In his time away from the team he had spent much of his time training and honing himself in terms of his powers and his own personal strength, implementing a strict regime of diet, exercise and spiritual practice, not to say that he was anything close to a monk, he knew he wasn't, but he found things like intense yoga and meditation were able to strengthen his mind and spirit in ways he could have never imagined. He stayed in the pose for several minutes as his body gracefully swirled down and back to the ground, leaving him vertical. Saying a silent prayer to himself, he rose to his feet and began cleaning up his area, taking a long swig of water from his water bottle. ::

:: He went to the living room of apartment #8 which had previously belonged to Blaze as he looked out the window to see Sharon Kelly swimming in the pool to some Whitney Houston. He smirked to himself as he drew comparisons of a Silver Swan gliding around the pool so elegantly. He was drawn to Sharon and he didn't know why. She was not necessarily his type, but she had a strength and a danger about herself that made Cameron a little scared, although he couldn't figure out why he liked it so much. ::

"Good Morning to you, Sharon..."

:: Cameron quickly changed into his bathing suit as he made his way out the door, taking a moment to glance quickly at apartment #5, knowing that ZACH was still there. He fought the urge to roll his eyes as he sat at the steps of the pool and addressed Sharon. ::

"You mind if I join in and swim a few laps? I promise not to disturb you.."

:: The telepath awaited for her response as he looked up at the sun and Sharon's mythical creatures flying in the sky, letting himself soak in all the sunshine he could. He had spent months in an almost hermit like state, away from the Six and society as a whole and it was good to feel the warmth of the sun on his body. ::

the courtyard

[Sharon was now a little more leisure in her movements as she gracefully back stroked along. Cameron came down the spiral stairs and over to the pool.]

Cameron said:
"You mind if I join in and swim a few laps? I promise not to disturb you.."

[she didnt immediately respond as she passed by where he was standing. when she finally reached the end, she stopped for a moment.]

sure, by all means.

[ she said as she lightly regarded him.]

i'll be finishing up soon anyway. I have to give my babies a bath and feed them.

[ Sharon didnt know quite what to think of Cameron. the LAST time she saw him, he was a corporate marauding, play boy scum bag who tormented her friend [Morgan]. When she died, he was not there. When she returned as the Silver Swan he was there...but she didnt know it. and then apparently he disappeared again and got captured again. He struck her, at first glance as rather handsome. But he was younger, like Zach and apparently young men did not mesh well with the older women of this team.]

Just do us a favor, and dont disappear while you're in the pool okay? Alison has only been gone for 3 weeks.

[ Sharon pointing out what everyone knew about how Alison felt. She was VERY unhappy with Cameron due to his recent behavior. GLAD he was alive [considering she risked herself to get him away from Barbas] but PISSED that he had a large hand in that happening.]

Melrose Place - Courtyard

:: Cameron listened as Sharon spoke and slowly he got into the pool and dunked himself under the water, coming up and reaching the surface, wiping his hair back as he smiled at her last comment. ::

"Don't worry about that Sharon. Much to the detriment of some that reside in this building, I am here for GOOD."

:: He swam from one side to another with a quick speed and grace before returning to Sharon's side of the pool before switching his glance back and forthe from Sharon to apartment five. ::

"Besides, I want to keep my eye on THAT :: points to Haleigh's apartment :: situation and I can't very well do that anywhere else."

:: Cameron swam a little closer to Sharon, eyeing her for a moment. ::

"You know, I hope i'm not overstepping my boundaries, but I must say you look great. ::smirking:: The last time I saw you.. you left me a little gift.."

:: The telepath gestured to his left cheek which bared a small and semi visible scar. This was the remnant of the vision he had of the Silver Swan bursting the windows in Illustra and killing them all many months ago. ::

"I'm just saying. To see you in the pool, looking.. almost peaceful. It makes me happy.."

:: He looked at Sharon up and down taking a moment to remember how deadly she had been. She had nearly destroyed the city and all of the Six. He remembered having to use his powers like never before attempting to cover up her tracks. He knew he had to tread lightly with this woman, for she was far more than capable of completely eviscerating him. ::

Nicolas smiled at the pretty secretary as she gave him the morning run-down of events. He was fit, relaxed, and happy overall. All was not PERFECT, but things were well.

He'd visited Morgan since she left (not that any of the others knew besides Alison, of COURSE) and, although there was no bed-wrestling involved, she was rather warm and even a bit flirty to him as they talked over dinner. He settled into a role as a former boyfriend (and possible sometime lover) easily, his youth taking over where his emotions might have failed.

The kitty was drwan to him, always hanging about and fussy when he left her, so Morgan allowed him to keep her at MP, another sign that things were...better. They kitty proceeded to be spoiled rotten by the demi-god, and now she sat in his hand as he caressed her, listening to the report as it was given. What he also heard was her own thought about him, and he was rathe rintrigued. She was beautiful and, although he still cared for Morgan very much, he did have needs. And so as she continued...

you also have a 4PM with the mayor concerning the permits you want for changes to the buildings you have at the dock and-

Cancel them.

S-Sir?

Cancel my plans for the day.

I-I'm sorry. Was it something I-

It was not something you said. I just have been working rather hard, as have you. And I say we deserve a TREAT, what do you think?

She smiled in spite of a spike in nervousness.

I don't kn-

Yes you do. I NOW have one appointment today, at 4PM. Sailing on the Empress, enjoying the sea with you...you do LIKE the sea, yes?

The young lady nearly leaped out of her skin at the invitation.

YE-I' mean yessir, I do, Mr. King.

Great. And call me Nicolas when it's just us. All my friends do. And Denise?

Yes si- I mean Nicolas?

Take the corporate card and buy some new clothes, maybe a swimsuit, in case we want to take a swim or SOMETHING later.

Yes, Nicolas. I'll meet you at the dock.

The demi-god smiled mischievously at the young lady as she sashayed out of the office. Today would be a VERY good day indeed.

Truth was, most of that work was already done. Nicolas was notorious for not getting much sleep (he did not require it) and so he had everything done and now he wanted to have some fun. And so did Denise. He picked up Kitty and teleported...

...back to Melrose Place. He decided that he wanted to work out and it was fine time he did so with his favorite workout partner. There was no reason for $150 million of equipment to go to waste at the Danger Room, so he changed quickly, fed Kitty and set her loose in his apartment, and walked over to knock on Haleigh Davidoff's door, waving as he saw Cameron and Sharon swim in the pool.

*KNOCK! KNOCK!*

Delilah slept surprisingly soundly. She had settled into her Melrose Place apartment, getting everything “just so” as she wanted it. She hadn’t drawn the curtains fully in her bedroom the night before and the morning sunlight streamed in, making patterns on the floor. Delilah nestled further into the big soft bed and its white down comforter and four pillows.

Since Barbas, she had slept like a baby. Despite Morgan and Alison’s departure. Although in previous times she had felt lost in the absence of her two best friends, this time was different. She didn’t feel so lost anymore. And she had finally been able to separate her life with the Six from her life. She knew who she was, she believed in herself, and she wasn’t going to apologize to anyone anymore. Not having to argue with people 24-7 had lifted a huge weight off of her shoulders. She was finally moving on.

She rolled over onto her side, burying her head in her pillow. She made a little sleepy sound, her eyes fluttering open in the sunlight. He was sitting on the edge of her bed, watching her.

“Bishop…”

It came out like a whisper, or a prayer.

He moved closer to her as she rolled onto her back. She closed her eyes as he put a hand on her cheek.

“I’m sorry…” she said as a tear rolled down her face. “I’m so sorry.”

“Shhhh…” Bishop wiped the tears from her cheeks. “Don’t sweat it, darlin’, I’m where I’m supposed to be.” He smiled. “And besides-“ he said as he lifted his hands to the sky to indicate his presence there. “You can’t get rid of me that easy.”

She laughed with him through the tears. He took her hands in his. “You know what you have to do, darlin’. You’re ready.”

She reached up and touched a lock of his hair. “I really loved you…”

He smiled and stood up. “I know.”

He turned and started to leave and Delilah sat straight up in bed. “Wait!”

Connor turned back. “It’s time to wake up now, darlin’.”

She shook her head, crying freely now. “No, I don’t want to.”

He quickly moved to the bed and sat down facing her again. He held her and stroked her hair as he touched his forehead to hers. “I’ll always protect you.” With that, he kissed her, and…

…Delilah’s eyes fluttered open. Connor wasn’t there, and the dream was rapidly slipping from her mind as they all do. Her face erupted into pain, her body doubling over, a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach as she feverishly tried to remember exactly how the dream had felt. It was as if someone had stabbed her with a large knife, the feeling was so intense. She wanted to go back, back to the dream. But her body wouldn’t let her, and that was so very unfair.

Her calm had been shattered. All she could do was lie there with her eyes shut tight, willing herself to escape reality. And all she could hear was FUCKING WHITNEY HOUSTON! Her eyes shot open, her body suddenly filled with rage. She threw OFF the covers and stormed into the living room. She flung open the front door and yelled out of it,

“WILL you turn that CRAP OFF?! No one wants to listen to a crackhead while they’re trying to SLEEP!”

And proceeded to slam the door as hard as she could.

apartment 3

[ Sharon looked at Cameron was annoyed curiosity, like a bird eyeing something it cant decided if it should ATTACK or not.]

[ he came close, much more close than she would have preferred. he WAS handsome, but still, who did he think he WAS?]

is there something WRONG with you?

[ she asked bluntly.]

Cameron said:
"You know, I hope i'm not overstepping my boundaries, but I must say you look great. ::smirking:: The last time I saw you.. you left me a little gift.."

:: The telepath gestured to his left cheek which bared a small and semi visible scar. This was the remnant of the vision he had of the Silver Swan bursting the windows in Illustra and killing them all many months ago. ::

I wasnt myself then...[referring to her initial outing as the rampaging silver swan.] i was resurrected through an obscene....impossible use of mystech science and magick. my new existence was a mockery of what i stood for when i was alive BEFORE. I was quite literally INSANE. But Morgan...my friends...even my would-be adoptive son Nicolas, they all risked their lives to save me from Rick Riley. As it is...i STILL carry with me the burden of those lives lost by my hands.

[sounding more reflective for a moment and thus, her silver eyes no longer GLARING at Cameron]

my Time with the Amazons on Themyscria helped me to recover and find myself as i am NOW...that and liberating my son from his personal HELL in Arklay mansion.

[ her glare returning.]

so you'll forgive me for that TINY little SCRATCH on your handsome little face! I'm SURE Morgan or your sister Alison would be HAPPY to remove it for you.

Cameron said:
"I'm just saying. To see you in the pool, looking.. almost peaceful. It makes me happy.."

[ at that moment, Nicolas was passing by. he waved, Sharon waved...but she was somewhere else mentally. oh yes... CAMERON]

Oh is that so.

[ she said in a lower tone as she folded her arms and looked at him sarcastically. listening to his heart beat this entire time, noticing its rather quickened pace.]

well, your heart beat tells me that you're more than a little FULL OF IT. and if you want to keep YOUR peace, i suggest you keep your DISTANCE.

[ powerfull as Sharon was, and centered as she had become. if there was ONE thing that she had not dealt with...it was that part of her self that allowed her to make room for a man in her life. Robert Kelly, Gustaf, even Zachary Armani. Sharon was FAR from unattractive and the changes in her , plus her time on Themyscria had enhanced her beauty, but she still found it hard to believe that when someone stared at her too long...it was for something OTHER than them thinking of her as some kind of FREAK. it was a weak spot for her. and being that she didnt know Cameron like that to trust him. it was moments like this where her humanity and all the insecurities that come with any human were still apparent.]

Enjoy your time in the pool, and remember...you're to stay here. We promised Alison we wouldnt lose track of you.

[ and with that, Sharon quickly climbs out of the pool leaving as she calls out for her silver gryfalcons. and soon, she and her pets disappear inside of apartment 3, the door closes and Cameron is left out in the courtyard.]

[ inside her apartment, Sharon takes a moment as she slowly towels herself off. she walks over to a window and slightly parts the wodden blinds and looks at Cameron as he is in the pool.]

the nerve of him....

[ she says softly as her birds perch themselves in their area and vocalize, waiting for their morning feeding. Sharon steps back and lets the blinds close as she moves to prepare her pets' food cutting up fresh meat and fruits and pouring some water.]

still, he's...not like the other men...[Nicolas, Zach or even Mike]

It was a leisurely morning. Sunny, peaceful, relaxing. Haleigh laid in bed, snuggling with a sleeping Zach. She did not have to get up or get dressed to check on business at LCI. She gave it the once over and then made sure everything was fine with the other occupants of Melrose. Some were already starting their day, some were still peacefully sleeping. Cameron and Sharon were swimming in the pool and looking quite comfortable conversing. Haleigh sighed. Her and Cameron hardly spoke full sentences to each other anymore, but he seemed to have NO problem talking to Sharon.

Zach: "It's too early to be troubled."

Zach stirred, reaching his hand up to her face, smoothing out the crease in her brow with his thumb and then gently brushing her hair back from her face. Haleigh smiled easily.

Zach: "Good morning, my love."

"Good morning."

He reached and pulled her closer to his body, and they kissed tenderly. It was so easy to fall into old routines with Zach, effortless, really. That had a comfortable familiarity that seemed to reestablish itself almost immediately. They did not sit down and talk about what they were doing, or where they were headed. Haleigh did not even think too hard about it… she just let things happen naturally. After weeks of spending every night together, last night he finally checked out of the Roosevelt and brought his suitcases over to the apartment, and they 'discussed' him staying in the spare bedroom. He'd put all his things in there…. But they slept, as always, in Haleigh's room.

Zach: "My turn to make breakfast this morning. [nuzzling her neck for a moment] What would you like?"

[smiling mischievously] "I think if you keep doing THAT I'll have to have YOU for breakfast."

She toyed, but her stomach grumbled and they both laughed. She requested waffles, and bacon of course. They got out of bed lazily. He pulled on a pair of sweatpants and she wrapped herself in a silk robe and together they went to the kitchen. But all was not as perfectly serene as it seemed. Distantly, Delilah could be heard yelling something and then slamming her front door. Hmm… she thought, but did not look in on Delilah's apartment. Her yelling sounded irritated, not terrified. Soon after that, a knock came at the door, courtesy of Nicolas. Haleigh volunteered to get it.

[with a pleasant smile] "Nicolas, come in. Zach and I were just about to have breakfast… would you like to join us?"

She ushered him in, shutting the door behind him but not before noticing an affronted looking Sharon leaving Cameron behind in the pool.

Nicolas smiled as Haleigh answered the door.

[with a pleasant smile] "Nicolas, come in. Zach and I were just about to have breakfast… would you like to join us?"

Nicolas entered and took a moment to tower over the mutate with a smirk, a game they often played. They had actually come back to an easier place in their relationship, almost (but not quite) as if they hadn't done IT. He nodded to Zach, still smiling as he rolled up his sleeves and washed his hands quickly.

Sure...in fact, allow me. I haven't cooked for you two in quite some time. Zach, what'll it be man?

Nicolas asked as he took out ingredients and began to prepare Haleigh's waffles and bacon unbidden. After all this time it was still there, that shared connection that made sure he had no need to ask what she wanted. He had the kitchen practically dancing in no time as he showed off his cooking skill for the pair.

I actually must confess that I came by with a selfish motive, Hales. I wanted to work out and we hadn't done that in quite some time. I would hate for you to get rusty.

Nicolas chuckled at the idea of Haleigh's reflexes diminishing.

In any case, you are of COURSE welcome as well Zach. However, our...sessions tend to get a bit INTENSE, definitely rougher than you would be used to. If you like, we can set up a scenario that will allow us to pare things back a bit for you. It's your call.

Nicolas picked up three plates and tossed them towards the couple at the table. As they flew the food assembled itself perfectly (with garnish!) and the plates hovered a moment before settling at each place in its turn. Nicolas walked over and took his seat.

Thanks for letting me do this. I haven't eaten in days. It's not as much fun by yourself.

Melrose Place - Courtyard (Access Denied ;) )

:: Cameron listened to Sharon with baited breath. She was like a force of nature, strong and confident, two traits he admired in women, as well as the fact that she wasn't afraid to take him down a notch if necessary. ::

Sharon said:
"Well, your heart beat tells me that you're more than a little FULL OF IT. and if you want to keep YOUR peace, I suggest you keep your DISTANCE!"

:: His heart dropped into his stomach for a moment. Cameron wasn't too familiar with her powers and being a telepath he was usually very good at keeping one up on hiding his true feelings with words, but Cameron would NEVER probe the mind of Sharon, if he could. After everything she had been through, she would feel violate. Cameron was bold but not stupid. He tried to recovered as he almost blushed for a moment. ::

Sharon said:
enjoy your time in the pool, and remember...you're to stay here. We promised Alison we wouldn't lose track of you..

"I'll be here, though I am not sure I can hold to the promise of keeping my distance.."

:: He muttered under his breath, not knowing she could hear him with her perfect hearing. If she did, she didn't respond as she went back to her apartment and left him alone to the pool. Cameron began swimming laps, lost in his own thoughts. ::

What a woman...

:: He watched as Nicolas entered Haleigh's apartment, and wondered if Nicolas noticed Cameron had NOT returned the friendly wave. He wasn't going to start any unecessary drama but he sure as hell wasn't about to act cordial with someone who at the moment he was completely confused about. Cameron didn't know the status of Morgan and Nicolas' relationship or their agreement but he was fairly certain it didn't allow a discretion with Haleigh. ::

Haleigh...

:: Cameron tried his best to keep his mind off of her these days. He had gone away and come back so many times, and as much as he wanted to blame her for being with Zach or Nicolas, he couldn't expect her to spend the rest of her life waiting for him to plant his feet in the ground and be hers. His problem was he felt that Haleigh was BETTER than Zach and should have known not to touch Rampage. He was also thinking of Delilah. She had sure changed from the last time he saw her. She almost rang Sharon's neck this morning for playing some lousy music. Quite the shift in demeanor, she was very enigmatic to Cameron, but he knew if he was going to get back in with this team, he would have to work on building relationships, and Delilah would be a good start as any. They had the most neutral ground to work with. ::

"I guess I should get dressed..."

:: Emerging from the pool, he walked up the spiral staircase back to his apartment and began to get dressed; a classic black vee neck shirt and a formfitting but not too tight pair of Diesel jeans. He decided to check in on Delilah.. making his way downstairs he knocked on her door and patiently waited. He wasn't sure just WHICH Delilah would open the door, if she opened the door at all. ::

Haleigh went to answer the door. Once she wasn't looking, Zach took the opportunity to drink Orange Juice straight from the carton in a few quick gulps before shoving it back in the fridge as Haleigh invited Nicolas in. Nicolas strode in and offered to be the cook and Zach gracefully obliged.

"Well I'm not going to stop you if you insist."

He smiles, letting Nicolas take over and going to sit on the other side of the bartop next to Haleigh. Zach was alright with Nicolas… or at least, as alright as a person can be with a man they knew slept with someone they loved. Haleigh still talked to him, at any rate, so things seemed to be back to normal between them and Zach sensed no animosity from Nicolas, so there was no reason to be defensive. Nicolas confessed to coming over with a motive: to drag Haleigh off to a workout session, citing worry about Haleigh 'rusting'.

Haleigh: "Rusty?? HA! I've got your rusty RIGHT HERE, mister."

She shot back playfully, as Nicolas' fork suddenly disfigured to the point that it was useless to eat with. Nicolas was considerate enough to offer to include Zach in the exercise. Haleigh smirked at the idea. Zach chuckled as he received his plate.

"I shouldn't embarrass myself trying to keep up with the two of you, but thank you for asking. I've got some business to attend to anyway."

He politely declined. If it sounded like a convenient excuse, it wasn't. Now that it had been decided he would stay here a while, he had some affairs to sort out.

Nicolas: "Thanks for letting me do this. I haven't eaten in days. It's not as much fun by yourself."

"You haven't eaten in DAYS?!?!"

Zach exclaimed, quite shocked. Zach could not fathom going more than four hours without eating. Haleigh did not seem as shocked, but she was visibly concerned.

Haleigh: "Nic, maybe you should come over more often. It can't be healthy to go without for so long, even for you."

Apartment #1

Delilah sunk down into her white slipcovered sofa, resting her head on its back. She drew her legs up to her chest, then didn’t move. In all her newfound confidence, her “okayness” with herself and her past with the team, she had forgotten. Forgotten that she had killed a man, the man that she loved. A human. She could have done things so differently…

Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door. She looked over at it, contemplating just being really quiet until whoever it was went away. But she realized that – knowing the people who currently lived at MP - they probably would just keep knocking before barging in. So she took a deep breath and got up, not bothering to look through the peephole, and opened the door.

She was still in her white cotton man-style pajamas. Not that she really cared. There was Cameron on her doorstep. What could HE of all people want?

“Hey, Cameron. What can I do for you? It’s not Alison, is it?”

It just occurred to her that he might have heard from his sister. Surely not another tragedy could have befallen them so soon?

Melrose Place - Delilah's Apartment

:: The door swung open to see a Delilah in a rather cute pair of pajamas as he smirked at her a bit before responding to her. ::

"Oh no, it's nothing like that. I just thought I would apologize for the music earlier. It wasn't me but.. either way sorry, nobody meant to disturb you. Thought I could make it up by taking you for a cup of coffee.. that is if you're up for it?"

:: Cameron awaited her response, not really sure what to expect from her. He had no ulterior motives, other than to just catch up to Delilah. He knew she wouldn't be a bleeding heart but he was hoping that maybe she could catch him up to speed with everything, from a somewhat impartial standpoint. Delilah was good at that. She was objective and smart, and chose her battles wisely. ::

Delilah raised an eyebrow at Cameron's invitation. She didn't really know him all that well. She wondered if this was something Alison had put him up to.

She stepped aside and motioned for him to come in.

"Just let me throw some clothes on," she said tentatively. She needed to get out of this apartment anyway.

After a minute, she came back, dressed in jeans, cowboy boots, and long flowy sleeveless top.

"Lead the way, Cam."

the courtyard & apt. 3

[ by now, Sharon was back outside the area in front of her apartment was now occupied by the tools she used to bathe and care for her special birds. she sang to them in a special way to keep them calm and happy as she massaged them, bathed them and rinsed them off before gently drying them off. ]

[ the birds vocalized and even attempted to "sing" along with their mistress as she continued to care for them.]

[ with the sound system off, the only sound was now that of Sharon herself and she really did have a perfect singing voice, a by product of her sonic powers. the full extent of her singing capabilities actually and clearly rivaled those of their current "Frenemy", Dominique Deveraux bka Isis aka The Black Queen, who was an accomplished, respected singer herself. but no one had really HEARD the Silver Swan SING in anyway before until now.]

[ while the mutate was tending to her pets and took a moment to enjoy the breeze (as did the birds) , she heard the heart beats and vocal patterns of Cameron and Delilah behind her, while Haleigh, Nicolas and Zach could be heard across the courtyard just past Morgan's apartment (#4) which sat higher up at the top of another spiral staircase. ]

[ Haleigh was rather dense wasnt she? three men in this building had a deeper connection with her, and she was too busy focusing on SHARON because of her past with Zach? Sharon didnt care about that at all anymore. Zach and Haleigh cared more about it than SHE did. and now it seemed that Cameron was , for some unknown reason, CURIOUS....INTERESTED in her? Sharon didnt know what to make of him.]

[ Who could she talk to? MORGAN was her closest friend and SHE was away on Aerie. Delilah? well what would SHE know? ,her last boyfriend tried to MURDER Sharon :D Sharon's BEST FRIEND, ALYCIA BARNETT would have been perfect, but she wasnt here. She wasnt anywhere any normal human could be. She was on Themyscria. She too had needed help to recover from having her life pretty much OBLITERATED by her association with the Six and the Tri Sentinel. When Sharon returned to "patriarch's world", Alycia had made tremendous progress, trained by the amazons, she was a better fighter, survivalist than she'd ever been before, better than even the most elite trained military men now. she had a calmness and discipline about her that was there before but was now brought to the surface.]

[ When Sharon was offered the opportunity to return, Alycia was as well, but the woman turned it down. Sharon was surprised but understood and went on without Alycia. She knew where her friend was...but it was times like this that Sharon felt ALONE.]

[ well, she'd figure out SOMETHING as the day went on. ]

[ for now, as she finished gently drying her birds, she called for them to come back inside to finish drying as she cleaned the area she had worked in before returned inside apartment 3 and once again closed the door.]

[inside, she looked at a framed picture of herself and Alycia. it was from the night they gathered at the Parthenon! BEFORE Master Mold.]

a dozen life times ago.

[ she said as she set the picture down.]

i wonder when...if she'll come back. I never thought...SHE'D be the one to not want to come back. I always thought it'd be me.

[ having lost her husband and son and her own life...only to be resurrected as something...ELSE.]

[ and so, she prepared to shower as she continued to reflect on herself and alycia...with a lingering curiosity about that shrimp on the barbie, Cameron :p ]

Melrose Place - Delilah's Apartment

:: Cameron was a little surprised that Delilah agreed so willing to him but he wasn't about to object as she returned to the door fully dressed. They walked out to the parking lot as Cameron opened the door and let Delilah into his rented black Cadillac CTS and made their way to the Starbucks on Wilshire. It was a little bit of a drive, but Cameron preferred the setting compared to other Coffee Shops in the area. ::

"An Iced Venti Sweetened Iced Coffee with Milk please, and whatever my friend would like."

:: He ordered as he waited for Delilah to take her turn. She would most likely get a hot coffee, black. That's just the type of person Delilah was. So beautiful and elegant, yet so down to earth and real at the same time. She didn't get caught up in the glitz and glamour as many in Los Angeles did. ::

"Could I also get a butter crossaint on a plate, cut in half with two forks please?"

:: Cameron looked at Delilah ::

"Hey what's life without carbs?"

Delilah followed Cameron to his car. That was something she really hated about LA: you couldn't walk anywhere. At least he opened the door for her. They were silent on the drive, until they arrived at Starbuck's. Delilah was sort of relieved he hadn't chosen some pretentious coffee place, or started railing againts the evils of Starbuck's.

She looked up at the menu, then smiled at the barista. "Um, I'll just have a medium green tea frappaccino." Delilah thought the Italian names for the sizes were incredibly stupid, and that the person behind the counter wasn't an idiot. She looked at Cameron. "I don't actually usually drink coffee."

He order a crossaint, apparently for two. Delilah couldn't help but give him an incredulous look. She didn't usually share food with people either.

"Um, actually, can I have one of the blueberry scones?" Then to Cameron in response to his carbs comment, "I'm not Morgan, I do eat."

She pulled out some cash from her purse and tried to hand it to Cameron, but he waved her away, and she just said thank you, not feeling like arguing over it.

They waited for their orders to be ready, then found a table. They ate and drank in silence for a few minutes. Uncomfortable silence. She nibbled on a bite of her scone.

"So, Cameron, how do you like Los Angeles?"

Nicolas was nearly puzzled at the response. He smiled at Haleigh's invitation as he teleported her fork away and into his hand, eating with it as he discarded his own slagged hunk of metal.

Thanks. I HAVE gone a couple of weeks without food with no problem. I think that maybe I get energy from...HIS realm to sustain me. Perhaps in that way it is not a good thing, right?

Nicolas was still loathe to mention his biological father, SET, but he continued on mostly unaffected.

In any case, I think I would like that. I have plenty of food and room at my place as well, and you are BOTH welcome.. Also Zach, I need you to sign some papers. I will have a courier bring them by later today or you can sign them at my offices. They pertain to the trust that I have set up for you just like the others. I did it after we got back from the Barbas deal.

Nicolas stood slowly, stretching, his bones and muscles audibly cracking.

Now if you will excuse me Zach, I need to borrow your lady here for a little while.

Chuckling, Nicolas takes Haleigh's hand as she rises from her seat. He playfully pinches her nose.

Hurry up and get ready, Hales. I'll be in the Bugatti.

Nodding to the pair, Nicolas exits for the parking lot.

Starbucks - Wilshire Blvd.

:: Cameron was slighty with impressed with Delilah who ordered her own pastry. It was definitely a change from eating with the other women in the Six, some of which he had never actually seen EAT! As they ate in silence for a few moments, Cameron decided to speak up. ::

"I do like Los Angeles, I was pretty much born and raised here.."

:: It was the truth. The streets of Los Angeles were Cameron's home turf many years ago. He grew up on the streets and was one of the smarter kids who actually ended up surviving the whole ordeal, Cameron didn't take that for granted. ::

"Back when I was rebelling against the orphanage, we used to come to this area and beg for money. Of course, there was no Starbucks, but we still made out okay.."

:: Cameron swirled the straw in his coffee, a little embarassed of his past and continued on. ::

"But look, I didn't lure you here under any false pretenses. I just felt like i've been here for three weeks. I'm not going anywhere and while I know nobody can trust that completely, I am trying to build some relationships... You and I.."

:: The telepath stifled for a second. ::

"Have the least bad blood between us. I just want to know where your head is at with this team, and I want you to know that I have your back., which is a feat ending of itself as there are not a whole hell of a lot of people I trust here.. You are the most straightforward person here, you've always been clear as day, and regardless of things that have happened in the past, I know that you are a GREAT ally to our team, and i'm glad to have you on board, as a full fledged member."

:: Cameron took a sip of his iced coffee, letting the caffeine surge through his veins. ::

"Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to woo you. I just know that things with all of us have a tendency to get hectic and I would love to know that deep down, no matter what happens, we have each other covered."
