U.S. News - Author Michael Peterson wins new trial in bizarre murder case

------------

U.S. News said:
Peterson's motion for a new trial was granted Wednesday based on new evidence suggesting that the original investigation was botched and a bizarre alternative theory that has drawn support from scientific experts: the possibility that an owl killed Kathleen Peterson in Durham, N.C., in 2001.

Wow. Bizarre indeed. :read2:

Black King, didn't you tell us about an owl stitting in your window staring @ you one night in college? :sure:

yes and that incident combined with this story will never shack me of the notion that owls are creepy Motherf****rs

I don't recall seeing an owl in real life before. Only in pictures, programs, & in fictional media of course. The most memorable being "Bubol" the owl, the companion to Athena in the original "Clash of the Titans". He looked very cute w/ his sleepy eyed expression & cooing sounds he made.

It's very bizarre to imagine an owl terrorizing, much less killing someone.
