I know i'm a couple years LATE w/ this, but I finally got around to reading a TPB of Batwoman featuring the story of the Weeping Woman.
Batman was shadowing Kate Kane, analyzing her fight techniques & other behaviors as BatWoman, while BatWoman was desperately trying to save/avenge children who were being victimized by Llorna a.k.a The Weeping Woman, she drowns her victims w/ her water based powers, even if they're not physically near a body of water. The story also featured her budding relationship w/ Maggie Sawyer, who works under Commissioner Gordon.
I have to say...this is probably my first FAVORABLE reading experience in DC's "New 52" thus far!
It's a shame this writing team is leaving due to DC's BACKWARD stance on BatWoman getting married to Maggie
Kate Kane is definitely refreshing in DC, during an era where many of their fan favs & mainstay females have been deevolved & deconstructed into one dimensional pieces of eye candy. She's not immediately the picture of "ideal beauty", she has a tragic backstory (on par w/ Bruce's) that not only drives her but continues to haunt her in the present & her personality kind of reminds me of X-23 in some of her earlier depictions up to 2nd Coming.
